Pongal Event Center

I'd like to submit the following review: I'd give Pongal's Event Center, Rio Rancho, NM, 5 out of 5 stars! My daughter just got married and we held the reception at Pongal's. I met with Clifton Thompson (Tom) several times and he was always MORE than helpful! Whenever I had a question or needed info, he got right back to me. His own son just got married and he has info on DJs, Photographers, and a linen and decorating vendor. He even contacted the vendor for me and set up an initial meeting. He also helped me get the host insurance and arranged for the bartender. (NOTE: If you want alcohol, you provide it. You cannot do a cash bar because the bartender has a server license NOT a liquor license). Tom also provided several coolers and many bags of ice. There are no cooking facilities there, so I rented a home through VRBO for a few days to prepare everything. I even rented a refridgerator from RentACenter. Tom was fine with them delivering it the day before and picking it up on Monday. He even met the RentACenter people and saw to the pickup on Monday. The venue is clean and bright and pretty darned affordable (I know-I checked out a lot before I found Pongal's). Pongal's employees set up the tables and chairs and put on all the table cloths. They were present throughout and helped with some cleanup afterwards. Their address is 1101 Golf Course Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM . I can't say enough about how great they were to work with.
