The catch however, was those businesses didn't use signed contracts, and they weren't able to immediately share copies of their insurance with me. Pontarelli operates as a professional business (with contracts and insurance!). Their customer service and communication was fantastic leading up to the event, and our driver was punctual, professional and courteous. The shuttle van was very clean and comfortable, and we felt safe the whole ride. I would highly recommend Pontarelli seeking a price-competitive, reliable, highly professional transportation service.

I called a few months before our wedding to confirm because I had not received a written confirmation and the representative told me there was no record of us in the system and that it would be questionable if they could get us transportation for our wedding. Fortunately we were able to secure a party bus and from there everything went smoothly. We needed to make a few changes to our itinerary the week of the wedding and they did it quickly. The bus on our wedding day arrived early which allowed us to be ahead of schedule as we got married in downtown Chicago and you never know how long it will take to get to your destination. The bus was clean, very nice, and our driver was great! I would recommend Pontarelli to any couple for wedding day. Their prices are GREAT compared to other transportation companies we reached out to in the city!

rocess was pretty clunky - there was a ton of back and forth to ensure that we would actually have what we needed. There were several instances where we articulated what was needed, then the quotes / confirmations had the wrong number and type of buses included. If we didn’t take it upon ourselves to follow up and correct things, the day would not have gone smoothly. That said, we made it through that piece and the transportation generally operated smoothly, up until the final part of the night - the ride from the wedding venue to the after party. We had three buses to get guests from Theatre on the Lake to HighLine, a 15 minute trip. Two of the three buses got completely lost, ending up on lower Wacker and taking 45 minutes to an hour to get there. I understand that mistakes happen, but this was literally their one job - to know the route and get to the destination. It was one of the only things that went wrong during the evening and it’s unfortunate because it seems as if it could have been avoided with a bit more (or any) preparation.

or music? We ended up having to play music from our phone. Bus was also super bumpy.

e had the large party bus and it was top notch - super clean and very luxurious. David, our driver, was super professional too. There was even chilled prosecco waiting for us after we came back to the bus after our ceremony!!! 5/5 would definitely recommend for any brides out there looking to book wedding day transportation that you don’t have to worry about. My guests still are talking about how nice the bus was and how fun it was riding around Chicago listening to music on our way to the reception. You definitely won’t regret booking Pontarelli!

rived on time, yet when I got on the bus I knew my fiancée would not be happy. The pictures show black leather seats and wood floor and the bus was grayish seats, grey floor and white walls. No overhead compartments either as stated. The driver was courteous but not thoughtful in the sense that it was raining and parked with the entrance on the opposite side so I needed my friends husband to ask him to turn around to make it easier to get in, same thing on the way from the church to the venue. On the way to the venue the driver didn’t seem to want to play any music, the radio was pretty much just static and made for a boring ride. There was a miscommunication with the address as our venue was the old building of the new address and the driver almost refused to go to where the correct address but ended up taking us to the venue. Overall, I was very disappointed. Partly my fault as I thought I was clear on what I was getting but for brides I’d advise to ask a lot of questions and ask for actual pictures! I don’t think Pontarelli clearly shows what you’re going to get. Disappointed as I also could have gotten an actual party bus for the same price. Also, I just found out from my sister that after everyone had gotten off the bus, the driver asked the lady groomsmen, “what, no tip?” When gratuity is already included in the price we paid, very unprofessional! He ended up giving him whatever bill he had in pocket and now I’m super embarrassed my groomsmen had to experience that.

, stellar, on time (always early), and extremely professional. All of their vehicles are top notch, clean, and look brand new. The only constructive notes we have were regarding the communication, and charges to our credit card. Through the wedding process, the middle and end were a bit of a nightmare were the timely communication was lost - we had to reach out to other people, etc., but found out after the fact it was due to illness. Second, my dad's credit card got charged twice for charges that were mistakes. Make sure you watch your statements, and read the fine print on fees if you are x amount of minutes late to the transport vehicle. Also, we didn't get the champagne nor the "red carpet service" that was advertised and in our contract. It wasn't a big deal in the big picture/scheme of things, but still, when you promise something, deliver... we didn't have security on the vehicles, but were told we would still receive the bottle of champagne - we never got it. Would we use them again? Yes? Were they fairly priced? Yes. Simply use with caution during the process, read the fine print, and watch your credit card statements.

This man's driving skills were top rate. There were a few tighter streets he had to drive down and he had no issues! Love love love this company. It made our wedding day extra special.
