We have hosted several large events but just started booking weddings – interest is high, and we are rapidly filling 2025. We offer a large venue with a very cool historical/ industrial vibe, with fresh and interesting exhibits. We are flexible about vendors – we have a list of excellent preferred vendors, but you are welcome to choose your own if you like. We include details that other venues charge for. Do you want engagement pics with a particularly cool car? No problem. Want to choose some special cars for display at your wedding? We got you. We can accommodate up to 150 people for your ceremony and reception. There is a beautiful backyard for a cocktail hour or ceremony. Bridal prep room. Catering prep area. Tables included. And we can work with you to make your wedding affordable – one example is you may want to consider a food truck for catering. Our prices are about half of what you will pay at the other exceptional historical venues around the Detroit area – with everything you get, this is clearly of great value, which is why we are filling 2025 fast. About the museum The Pontiac area was the Silicon Valley of the early automobile industry -- home to dozens of vehicle and parts manufacturers. The Pontiac Transportation Museum, a 501(c)(3) foundation, is proud to showcase not only the vehicles and technology but also the people's stories and the social history of the exciting early days of the auto industry in fun and interactive exhibits.
