I really enjoyed working with Trish. She is so sweet and easy to talk to. I didn't have a super specific idea of how I wanted my hair to look but brought lots of inspiration photos, and Trish was able to create a look that I absolutely loved. Between the trial and wedding, I changed my mind on how I wanted my makeup to look and Trish was so easygoing and accommodating in making the changes. I felt so amazing on my wedding day, and my sweet husband said he couldn't take his eyes off me during the ceremony to pay attention to what the officiant was saying! Both hair and makeup still looked great many hours later.
Trish did an amazing job on my hair and makeup, as well as all of my bridesmaids and flower girls! She also did the hair and makeup of the mother of the bride and mother of the groom. She was professional and knew exactly how to schedule everyone. She and her daughter made us feel beautiful and confident! I would highly recommend her services!
I can't tell you how much fun we had with Trish. This chick knows what she is doing and has a tremendous talent. I knew from the first time I talked with her on the phone that I was making a great decision. During my trial, she helped me pick a beautiful hairdo and convinced me to go with the false lashes (a must!). Not to mention that we had a blast on the wedding day as she made my bridesmaids look even more radiant. The payments are done online, so there is no fuss on the wedding day, and she comes to you, which was a great plus to get ready in the hotel. Thank you Trish!
Trish was one of the recommended vendors from my venue, after reading the reviews and talking to Trish on the phone, I have booked her for my wedding. My trial was about month and a half before my wedding, and I was NOT happy leaving it. In fact I was about to cry when I got home, and if I didn't already had a contract I would NEVER book her. Both my hair and make-up did not look like ANYTHING I wanted, nor the pictures I brought with me. I know my hair is hard to deal with, so I wrote that off, but I wasn't sure what happened to make up. Needless to say, I was really worried about what I will look like on the day of. However, the final result was really good! On the wedding day I have brought a completely different picture with me, nothing like what we did at the trial. Hair was still not what asked for, but it did look great so did make-up! Unfortunately, both my mom and my mother-in-law were not happy with what they had. My mother-in-law had her hair and make-up done by Trish two months prior to my wedding (for her daughter's wedding) and she was so upset with it that she did not want to go back to her for my wedding. I had to ask for the money back (as I had to pay the entire amount at the trial), she wasn't going to go back to her even if she lost her money. Trish did return the money, so it worked out. My sister, who was my MOH, was also almost in tears on my wedding day, as she had to ask Trish to fix her make-up few times and ended up fixing it herself, and it did need fixing! My biggest issue with Trish was that she took forever to reply to my emails! I would have to email more than once to get her to respond. Also, she had overcharged me, at the trial when she told me what was still due, I thought it was of, but was too upset to even take time to do the math (my fault). Later I realized it was $10 more than actual amount, no big deal, but when I asked her for an invoice, she sent me one item at a time, and I never got an actual invoice with breakdowns.
I visited Trish at her home office in Virginia for my first hair and make-up trial. A few weeks later I had some alterations done to my dress, thus requiring a change of hair style. Trish was very accommodating to set up a second trial to insure that the change would not invoke any additional stress on my wedding day. Hair and make-up started promptly at 8 a.m. and Trish was on time. I have been to weddings where Hair and Make-up usually take longer than planned, but Trish stayed right on target. Trish was able to do Hair and Make-up for myself and 4 others, straight from 8 a.m. to noon. She has an assistant for larger wedding parties. For a once in a lifetime event, hair and make-up was not an area I wanted to skimp on. While there are certainly less expensive stylists in the area, Trish does not fall into the $-$$ cost bucket. But she is certainly worth the money spent and I was VERY satisfied with my overall experience.
Trish did a great job on my makeup/hair and my bridesmaids' hair. It was so helpful that she came to our hotel so no one had to wait around at a salon all morning. Everyone wanted something different and she very quickly created beautiful updos for 7 of us - and they held up all day and night.
One word of caution: make sure to bring backup glue (if using fake eyelashes) as well as backup lip color and gloss. The lip color applied by Trish that was supposed to last all night didn't make it to the ceremony, so I had to reapply using a slightly different color.
Trish was so wonderful to work with. I met her about a month before the wedding for my trial and showed her a few photos that I liked. I really loved my hair style, but in the end I chose to do my own makeup because I enjoy doing that and preferred my products with my skin. However, Trish applied almost all of my bridesmaids makeup and they all looked so beautiful, and since I had decided to do my own, I asked if my mom could get her makeup done in place of me and she had no problems doing that. It's nice and convenient that she comes to you, and we all looked really great!
Driving out to Gainesville for the trial was quite a haul, but the convenience of having someone show up at your prep-site the day of the wedding makes up for it. I'm pretty proficient with my own make-up, but I wanted something that would stay on all night and not smear, run, fade etc. They also did things with my hair that I don't even think my stylist could have accomplished! Everything lasted the entire night (but I did need my powder compress once dancing started) and they even gave me a really creamy Tigi tube of lipstick for periodic touch-up! I use it all the time now.
I normally never write negative reviews, even if I had a bad experience.
During the hair and make up trial I didn't really like the way she did my make up so I ended up sending her a YouTube video if what I want done, which on the wedding day didn't turn out very well either. I also asked for a copy of my receipt a couple of times and she never sent it to me.
The day of the wedding was a disaster. Trish did my mom's hair first. My mom wanted a simple French twist and Trish COMPLETELY blotched it. It looked like she just put a bunch of pins in my mom's hair just to
hold it up. All my bridesmaids and I thought it looked awful. My mom hated it and wanted to take it down. When my mom started taking her hair down, Trish basically snapped at us telling us we needed to manage our time better and make a decision (I don't think we had a time management problem because Trish ended up leaving an hour early). My mom ended up leaving her hair down. Trish did my sister's hair next and that was also a compete disaster. Trish didn't know how to do this waterfall braid that was in the picture my sister showed her. Trish claimed that the picture is not real. I ended up showing her how to do it and she told me to continue and finish it. I told her no because I was just showing her how to do it and she can do a better job of it. I was wrong. My sister's hair looked almost as bad as my mom's hair before she took it down. When Trish left I ended up taking my sister's hair apart and redoing it myself.
My other sister also wanted some sort of braid in her hair but after she saw what an awful job Trish did on my little sister's hair, she ended up asking Trish to just curl it and pin half of it up. Trish did an okay job on my last bridesmaid's hair but it wasn't exactly what she wanted.
Trish did an okay job on my hair. I selected a really simple hairstyle so it's hard to mess up. Basically I wanted my hair half up. The bottom curled and the top in two simple braids wrapped around my hair piece. She did a good job curling my hair. I told her I didn't like the way my side bangs curled and she told me the curl will fall apart. She made no attempt to fix it. My make up was mediocre at best. I don't think she knows how to apply eyeliner because she applied it to my entire upper lid. Again, after she left I ended up fixing my make-up.
Trish and her assistant did a wonderful job with mine and all the bridesmaids hair and make-up. Just by looking at pictures of what I wanted each of our hair to look like she was able to make my dream come true. She is truly a great make-up artist and stylist. I will defiantly keep her information in use her in the future for other events.
Trish was wonderful in every way! She was very on top of things in getting details sorted out for the big day and welcomed any and all questions I had. On the wedding day, she came right to our hotel room and set up shop! It was great! Every girl really appreciated how friendly she was while they were getting hair and makeup done which made everything so much more fun and less stressful! Everyone turned out beautiful as well and both the hair dos and makeup applications lasted all afternoon and night long! So happy to have found my mobile salon!
While my hair came out great, my bridesmaids' hair not even close to what I asked for and my matron of honor had to re-shower and wash her hair and do it over herself because it was so bad. I didn't ask for anything fancy. Basically ponytails with bump-its in the front...not hard. Should've done it myself.
I didn’t just get a hairdresser for my wedding, I got TRISH! She does it all! 5 Days before the wedding she gave me an all day treatment that prepped me for the big day (hair trial, makeup trial, grooming, highlights). And it was fun! We laughed all afternoon. And on my wedding day, Trish had me looking beautiful in no time at all. She even came to my wedding, fixed my makeup between events (after the ceremony for pictures, between cocktail hour and the reception, before the cake cutting) so that I looked perfect for each picture moment. She is such a delight too. She listens to what you want, gives you advice but truly makes you feel like it’s your day to be beautiful. I was lucky to be surrounded by her laugh and smile while my family was a nervous wreck around me. It wasn’t that she did beautiful hair and makeup, it was that she reminded me that the day was mine and to enjoy it!
