We couldn’t be happier with our wedding cake from Popovers on the Square. From start to finish, they were professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about their craft. The cake not only looked absolutely stunning—it was beautifully designed and fit our vision perfectly—but it also tasted incredible. We received so many compliments from our guests, many saying it was one of the best wedding cakes they’ve ever had. Every bite was a perfect balance of flavor and texture, and it truly added something special to our celebration. We’re so grateful to Popovers on the Square for creating a cake that was both a centerpiece and a highlight of the day. Highly recommend them to any couple looking for exceptional quality and service.

Popovers was super easy to work with for ordering our wedding cake. It was exactly what we wanted and it was delicious! All of our guests asked us where we got our cake!

The whole process of ordering from Popovers was convenient, easy, and best of all, very affordable. We opted for cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake, and the "Cake Tasting To Go" was a fun way to start the process so we could choose flavors in a low stress way. We settled on Red Velvet with vanilla buttercream and chocolate with chocolate buttercream and European raspberry jam filling. They were delivered on time to our venue, and people really enjoyed them, commentimg that it was great that they had a lot of flavor and weren't to sweet.

All of our interactions with the bakery were great! Even better - our cake was delicious! We went with the Myers Rum Chocolate Buttercream in the center with a layer of chocolate and a layer of vanilla cake! I definitely wish we asked to have more saved! We will be using Popovers for all cakes going forward!

I cannot praise popovers enough. It is my favorite cafe in Portsmouth already but they got us a wedding cake in a week after our original plan fell through. They took care of us and we felt so confident in their abilities! The cake was beautiful and delicious (as always). Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Popovers was super easy to work with throughout the process and our cake was beautiful and delicious! While we didn't really vet other bakers (Popover's in Portsmouth was one of "our spots" so it was an easy choice), the prices felt reasonable and they were very accommodating when we changed our order size to account for more guests and added a gluten free cake. They also handled the delivery details directly with the venue, which was one less thing for us to worry about.

We choose Popovers for our wedding cake and couldn't be happier with our choice. Everyone we talked to was so easy to work with, and Jason really helped us create our vision of our cake. We wanted something simple, but elegant, and he helped get us there. The pricing is on par with other, larger bakeries, but the quality is BETTER. We had the raspberry jam and diplomat filling and people are still talking about how good it was. Thank you Jason, and the Popovers team for helping our wedding day be great!!

Popovers was so easy to work with! We had such a great tasting it was hard to decide what flavors to go with! The cakes and desserts were so delicious I ate so many of them!

The chef at Popovers was great to work with. She took the time to listen to us and helped us achieve a wonderful cake within our budget. Although I only got a few bites of it at my wedding, I thought it tasted really good and look forward to eating the top layer next year on our anniversary (if I can hold out that long)!

We ordered our wedding cake from Popovers on the Square. It was amazing! We sent in a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like prior to the event and it looked exactly like the picture. The cake was delicious. The people we worked with were great. They were all very responsive and flexible. They delivered the cake on time and there were never any issues. All in all, we definitely recommend Popovers on the Square.

I can't even express how happy we were with our grooms cake!! I had done everything over the phone. I wanted to surprise my husband with an acoustic guitar with added touches (patriots, Bruins logo) They turned out perfect!! To top it off the cake was delicious!! I would recommend Popovers to everyone. Excellent service all around!

We used Popovers for our wedding cake, and I also used them to surprise my husband for his groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner. Both were great! The rehearsal cake was a football field with a football and Pat's helmet on top made out of rice krispies. The wedding cake was exactly what we wanted! We had the buttercream a little swirled for texture and a tree branch with leaves going up on the diagonal. It was great and the leaves looked just liked we wanted them to. We only had a small cake because we wanted to have a dessert table, which we also used Popovers for. We got 5 different kinds of desserts for our guests and they were all FANTASTIC! Everyone loved them! Wonderful desserts :)

I had never had anything from this bakery aside from the samples we had been given during the process. This was probably the best cake I've EVER had! And everything looked BEAUTIFUL! I am a very visual person and was nervous how everything would look but I was very happy with the outcome!
