Cameron founded Poppy in 2019 after managing the florals for her own wedding — which was later published in Martha Stewart Weddings. Trained under master florist Gregor Lersch in Germany, she saw an opportunity to use farm-fresh flowers and on-trend floral design aesthetic at a price that actually makes sense. Poppy has now designed flowers for over 6,500 weddings across the U.S.

hard to trust your vendors with your vision, and not physically meeting with someone to do the florals felt like a risk, but let me tell you…. From the second I got in contact with Hannah, my Poppy rep, I knew everything was under control. Poppy is super responsive and answered my questions and addressed my concerns about being hesitant to book because it’s all virtual. Hannah made me feel totally comfortable and the process was entirely smooth sailing. Poppy is the lowest maintenance vendor ever, which is seriously what you need in the days leading up to the wedding. The florals were absolutely stunning and everyone complimented me on them. Poppy exceeded my Pinterest board dreams for a dream price. Truthfully, I’m not sure how they do it, but honestly, I couldn’t be happier with my experience and I seriously hope more brides use Poppy! shed to use their preset arrangements rather than getting a truly custom design as you would with a traditional florist, which I didn't realize prior to booking. I feel I lead the direction of all the design and didn't get much input - I gave inspo pics, listed types of flowers, and made all the mock ups myself. I didn't really get feedback beyond "so cute!" About 2 months out from the wedding, the designer stopped responding to me. I messaged her through the portal, emailed customer service, even DM'd them on Instagram and was blown off. This was extremely stressful and it took ~15 attempts at contact for someone in another department to confirm they even still had my wedding on their books.
Approx. 6 weeks out, the designer said that she was extremely concerned about using hydrangeas due to potential heat.... My florals had been majority hydrangea designs from the very beginning of booking Poppy, so it's unbelievable that this issue came up in the 11th hour. After dropping this bombshell she cancelled our final meeting! I had to push hard to even get a new meeting scheduled to try to find a solution.
I gave 2 starts because ultimately the local florist they hired did a good job, and the flowers looked nice. But the stress of dealing with them was absolutely not worth it, wish I would have just hired a local florist. Poppy is a large company and functions as a broker, so you have no idea if you'll work with someone good or not, versus as local florist who has actual reviews about their personal work.
They asked me for feedback afterward and I gave them all of the above. Reviews swayed me a lot in my wedding research so I wanted to share my experience.

There is no excuse for you having to make so many attempts to get a response or for concerns about your floral plan being raised so close to your wedding date after those designs had been discussed for so long. We understand how frustrating and disappointing that experience must have been.
While I am glad our designer delivered beautiful flowers on your wedding day, I sincerely apologize that your overall experience fell so far short of the level of service you deserved. We appreciate your honesty and have shared your feedback with our team so we can continue improving our communication and planning processes.

Alicia went above and beyond throughout the entire process. She spent time with me in multiple planning sessions, making sure she truly understood my vision and helping bring it to life. Halfway through planning, I ended up changing the overall vibe and design of my wedding, incorporating ikebanas and different floral installations and displays, and Alicia never missed a beat. She helped refine my ideas and transform them into something even more beautiful than I had imagined.
What stood out most was her responsiveness. When I say she was responsive, I mean truly exceptional. Whether I was sending inspiration photos, asking questions, or brainstorming ideas, she would often respond almost immediately. I always felt supported, heard, and confident that my wedding florals were in the best hands.
I especially loved how I was able to incorporate some of my own vases into the decor as well as my own pots and poppy’s worked to create absolutely beautiful clouds that fit perfectly over my Potts.
Honestly, the entire vision of my wedding came together because of the flowers. When the florals arrived at the bridal suite on the wedding day, I was completely overwhelmed with excitement. As someone who absolutely loves flowers and cared deeply about the floral design, I can say with complete confidence that they exceeded every expectation I had.
The arrangements were stunning, the installations were breathtaking, and we received countless compliments from our guests throughout the day. The flowers completely transformed the space and made the wedding feel magical. I truly don’t think they could have been any more beautiful—especially for the price.

m investment of like $5-8k like some other florists. We used Poppy Flowers for bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, bouts, corsages, 2 aisle flower clouds, and flower girl petals. The process was super easy and straight forward. It was nice to have one vendor be all online and straightforward when everything else was so complicated and convoluted in wedding planning. Everything went smoothly on the day of. The flowers magically appeared where they needed to be. That may be partly due to my planner but also Poppy showed up as expected where they were expected (as far as I know lol). And they looked great!! We supplemented the Poppy Flowers by buying local wholesale bulk flowers to fill 50 bud vases and my girlfriends and I also made several fake flower arrangements in the months leading up to the wedding too. Even though we hodge podged it all together it ended up looking nice together (IMO lol) and that's likely due to Poppy understanding what I wanted color and flower type wise. I also enjoyed the leftover flowers for a week or so after the wedding as they survived a while once i put them in new vases with water and flower food. (The pic of them all on a table are days after the wedding rearranged into vases)

anning process. I loved the ability to choose florals through the portal while also uploading inspiration pictures and tweaking things with Michelle's help. I was able to share photos, and Michelle assured me that they would be able to create arrangements just like the inspiration photos. Communication through the portal was seamless and quick.
On the day of the wedding, I was SO pleased with the flowers. They were even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! Anyelys, the local designer assigned to my wedding, was kind, collaborated beautifully with my coordinators, and did such a wonderful job with the flowers. It was everything I expected and more, just like the photos I had submitted! I LOVED my bouquet in particular. Anyelys also went above and beyond, helping us use extra leftover flowers around the property. We are so grateful and recommend Poppy wholeheartedly! It was an awesome and stress-free experience.

I LOVED my flowers. They were exactly what I had hoped for and even better. I was a little worried because the whole process felt so easy — I thought, "this can't be right!" But it was! I gave them creative freedom with my memorial table and it turned out so beautiful. My venue was already a stunning backdrop, but the flowers added the perfect tasteful, minimalist touch I needed.
The only thing I'd mention is that I had wanted flowers on the balcony, and they ended up being placed on just one stair handle instead. It looked a little random, but honestly it didn't bother me too much. Everything else was just perfect.
Floral arrangements are always a big investment, but I felt I got incredible value for what I was envisioning. My taste is very minimalist, but I did want flowers and that touch of spring on my wedding day — and I certainly got it!

was easily the most reasonably priced floral vendor we found, and we really appreciated that they don't have crazy minimums to meet especially since we wanted to do something more minimal.
Planning process was super easy and everyone we worked with was kind and professional.

I can't say enough nice things about poppy! They were so very helpful and we had weird preferences and asks and they were game for all of it. When we didn't want enough to hit the...
limit they were honest about that and didn't push us to buy more and when we did think of things they were ready and so helpful. They were fast and never made us feel rushed even though we started on the flower journey late. Once all the decisions were made and they had the money they didn't contact us at all unless they needed to and I always knew how to reach them quickly. We didn't have to think about it on the day at all. They dropped things off early for us and set up and the venue went off without a hitch. And everything they made was absolutely beautiful. I could absolutely go on and on and on.

It still looked great and they gave us partial refund but its worth mentioning for anyone who might be more upset by this than I was. I really enjoyed the ease of use on their website thought I don't think the company is as budget friendly as I'd hoped.

I found the site clunky and the initial stage starting out was slightly confusing for me. Luckily, I didn't really have anything in particular in mind except my bouquet so I kind of just went with it.
