ind, energetic, and immediately was keeping me on my toes. She mentioned she was a corporate event planner for a very well known company and was starting her own agency in the coming months. I told her that I was hunting for a wedding planner for my upcoming wedding - the rest is history! Emmy has made everything so simple for us from the very start. Wrangling hard to handle vendors, reading the fine print in contracts, and being smart and savvy with every decision. She’s the total package. When the planning got so heavy and so constant that my fiancé and I didn’t have time to work on it often, we always knew Emmy never stopped. She kept us organized and focused, keeping our eyes on the big picture while she aligned the hard to fathom millions of details. Her keen eye for design pushed us to be unique - encouraging us to ‘just go for it’ when deciding between napkin colors and imagining the most beautiful food and table displays. I’ll never forget our first site visit of the venue. We did our food tasting and chose all of the items to be served for the welcome party and dinner. My fiancé and I considered it finished and then Emmy made the most minor yet crucial observation. She was quick to notice that everything we had chosen to serve were in the shape of balls - fritters, puffs, donuts, etc. It seems so small of a realization but it’s something we would have never noticed without Emmy. This is why you need a planner and this is why you need Poppy Planning! People don’t give good event planners enough credit. We thought we might be able to handle planning a wedding on our own, and I’m so glad that we didn’t have to because there’s just no way. For what we expected our big day to be, it would have been impossible to get there without Poppy Planning, and furthermore, Emmy!
