think other than marrying my husband, it was the best decision I have ever made! From the initial meeting with Sydney to tour the venue through the end of the wedding weekend, she was so kind, down to earth, responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. When we would meet with her, it felt like talking to a good friend who truly wanted the best for me on our wedding day. She also has a LOVELY assistant Bianca who I can say all of the same about. We had 100% rain on our wedding day, and I was just so devastated leading up to the wedding because I had dreamt all year for it to be on the putting green and the lawn, but I think it was also supposed to play out this way. Sydney knew exactly what I had envisioned and turned the patio into the most magical and warm place and more beautiful than I ever could've imagined. Despite the rain, we had plenty of space for 110 people on the patio/front dining room. We also had plenty of places for photo opportunity that were covered. It rained for days and my dress was nearly in perfect condition because a lot of areas for photos are covered. I received comments from guests about how kind the staff was. We had our rehearsal dinner here as well the night before and I definitely recommend that as well. The food is incredible. We had a pasta bar for the wedding made fresh to order, and for the rehearsal I got to choose my favorite meal and the chef made that happen. You would be extremely wise to choose Port Royal as your venue. I would say the price is fair. We were between one other venue and Port Royal and Port Royal was significantly more affordable but I think the level of service, professionalism, and delivery that we experienced was worth far greater than what we paid - just truly exceptional and I can't say enough. Thank you Sydney, Bianca, Jean for helping us organize golf throughout the week/weekend, and all of the Port Royal staff for the best weekend of our lives.

was not impressed with her work at all (Weddings with Joy French) but Sydney stepped up and took over when she didn’t have to. Sydney needs a raise!! For the brides, make sure to hire a good day of coordinator. Sydney has a good list of recommendations for people on the island.

cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, every space was beautiful and flowed seamlessly. The food was outstanding — truly the best wedding food many of our guests said they’ve ever had. The filet of beef, salmon, and chicken entrées were cooked to perfection, the shrimp and grits and mac and cheese bite appetizers were huge hits, and the late-night pretzels with beer cheese were such a fun touch. Having a sit-down dinner with plated service and even the cake served individually made the evening feel so elevated. Sydney, the coordinator, was incredible. She executed every detail flawlessly and even made it possible for my daughter to have her dream ceremony outside when the rain cleared, moving everything with ease. The staff was attentive, professional, and made the day stress-free and unforgettable. This venue exceeded every expectation — beautiful spaces, exceptional food, and impeccable service. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Sydney was absolutely incredible. She worked closely with my family and was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. Her team went above and beyond on my wedding day...
—arriving early to set up tables and chairs, arranging all the food, and cleaning up afterward. They were attentive to my guests and handled every detail flawlessly, even changing outfits multiple times throughout the day to match the different events. When it unexpectedly rained, we waited until the last 30 minutes to move the chairs indoors, and the team managed the transition quickly and efficiently. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a more dedicated team. Despite the weather, it turned out to be such a wonderful and memorable day.

ng got closer! They allowed me to make this wedding super personalized and make changes up to the days prior. Everything I suggested they made happen! Our guests are still talking about how smooth everything went, as well as the versatile venue, allowing guests to be in and outside as they please. I was unable to be there for the final walk through, but I had no doubt that everything would turn out just how I wanted given Sydney's professionalism and expertise! The cake table, memorial table, place settings, table lay-out, dance floor, and bars were absolutely perfect thanks to the amazing set-up team! Everything was exactly in place and not a hiccup occurred! I couldn't have asked for a better venue coordinator to help our day go perfectly! I did not want it to end!!!

ons. For our daughter's wedding with 120 guests, we enjoyed using the beautiful outdoor grounds for the ceremony and cocktail party, and the lovely indoor spaces and veranda for the reception. The staff at Port Royal are fantastic to work with. Sydney is sharp, competent, and always willing to work out the endless details that make a wedding personal and meaningful. We served a plated dinner, and our food was consistently delicious across all menu options. The Port Royal Club's service staff are all lovely, graceful people committed to excellence. They treated us like we were the wedding of the season!

ular! Every aspect of the wedding, as well as the preparation leading up to it, were handled with great professionalism and care. Our ceremony was held outdoors, as was the cocktail hour. The weather in Hilton Head in Sept and Oct is fantastic, unless affected by a hurricane (which we luckily avoided). Dinner service included tables split between indoors and on an adjacent covered terrace, with wide-open doors between. This created a great space that was enjoyed by all.

before our wedding, when our Coordinator wasn't very communicative she sat on the phone with us for an hour to work things out. Even though she had a wedding the day before ours (and at least 1 the week after) she made us feel like we were the only couple getting married. I highly recommend and would book Port Royal again if we had to do it all over again.

with family, and have loved golfing at Port Royal every time we go there. The cover picture Port Royal uses (with the big tree in the background of the ceremony) sealed the deal and we even booked that wedding photographer! (Amber Elizabeth Photography) Sydney, events ringmaster at Port Royal, was so great to work with over the 11 or so months we had to plan everything. At the end of the day, every detail was squared away, every box was checked, and at no point in time did we feel like we were rushed on decision making. If I could give an extra bonus star for the food, I would. It's not an uncommon occurrence that food served at the tasting on a small scale tends to not be the same when produced in mass quantities for day-of. Not only was the food just as good as our tasting day, but many of our guests sought us out during cocktail hour and dinner service to say just how good the food was. (Pro tip: get the shrimp and grits for cocktail hour!!!!) Sydney worked with our wedding planner and DJ last Friday at our wedding like they're her regular colleagues. The agility Sydney and her team worked with to change our ceremony location at a last minute notice (damn rain), and still ensure all logistics were covered, was nothing short of impressive. I'm so happy we were able to make our initial dream a reality by getting married at Port Royal, (and having a fun golf outing the next day!!), and even happier with the experience Sydney and her team were able to bring to light. Can't recommend this beautiful venue enough!!!

decided on Port Royal Golf Club as the venue. We could not have made a better decision. Sydney Segars and her staff did a wonderful job. She had the rooms set up for both the bride and groom for them to get ready. Her actual wedding was held at Steam Gun Park. Our wedding party and guests were seamlessly shuttled to and from the park efficiently and with no issues. After pictures at the beach the bride and groom had a room to refresh before joining our guest in the reception area, including appetizers and cocktails. We had a made to order pasta bar, that I was concerned with, much to my surprise the two chefs executed quickly and efficiently. And the food was outstanding, from the appetizers to the pasta bar everything was perfectly presented and served. As the evening unfolded Sydney’s staff kept the event on point and seamless. I would highly recommend using Royal Golf Club as the venue for your next event. Sydney and her staff are attentive, courteous, friendly and easy to work with.

erfect setting for our outdoor nighttime garden wedding. Sydney , Rob and the rest of the staff was very friendly, flexible and organized. They ensured that every aspect of the wedding was perfect and went off without a problem. Rave reviews also go to the chef! The food was fantastic and the chef let us customize the menu. I keep getting compliments about how delicious the meals were. If your lucky and have the chance, try their chicken empanadas. We had them for our late night snack and they were eaten up as fast as they were put out. The staff did a great job managing our large group. The staff didn’t miss a beat, even when we went inside for our Karaoke after party, they didn’t seem to be bothered by our very loud and bad singing. In fact, I saw most of them singing along and having a great time talking to the guests. I would definitely recommend hosting your event here.
