We had DJ Nelson for our wedding and he did an amazing job. Up until two days before the wedding, all of my communication had been with Steve, but everything went so smoothly. Nelson kept the music flowing perfectly and had people dancing all night. They even helped a little with cleanup at the end of the night, which was completely unexpected and so appreciated. Highly recommend!

By fourteen he had a regular job as a disk jockey for a local roller rink. Continuing his passion for entertainment at nineteen he started his own Mobile DJ company "Porta Party Productions" With over 40 years as a Professional Entertainer and company that has lasted over 30 years, you can be sure that we will be around when your event is scheduled with both experience and professionalism.

act out of this car. The microphone was also broken so the officiant was speaking but there was just a feedback screech coming from the back of the ceremony. Then our outro song started playing when we were already exiting back inside.
When we made our grand entrance, the wrong name was announced for my fiancé and our last name was pronounced incorrectly.
When we did our first dance, he played the wrong song, then restarted but it was the wrong song again. Then it played. Rather than going into the family dance song afterwards, other songs were played and the family dance song ended up being played when I was outside. After a while we had to request that the father/daughter and mother/son songs be played. At first he said he didn’t have them but he found them. He played the wrong song initially for the father daughter song.
None of the songs I requested were played through the night. One Train song was played three times.
Overall we had a terrible DJing experience and there were lots of complaints and comments from guests and other vendors. Both at and after the wedding, people were asking us what was going on with the DJ. Although we had many positive experiences on our wedding night, the DJing was absolutely horrible. The ceremony probably would’ve been better if we hadn’t had a DJ at all because everything was broken and done at the wrong time.
I was also informed that nothing was played during our cocktail hour despite asking for instrumentals to be played. So I am not sure exactly what we paid for since everything was done incorrectly or not at all.
I emailed with these problems to the company but did not receive a response.

he cake” song, which was super disappointing… we cut the cake in awkward silence. My husband and I also had a choreographed first dance & I told the DJ before ceremony started that he needs to wait for my husband to ‘nod’ at him before starting our song so we have time to get to the dance floor from the head table. He didn’t do that, so we were rushing to get in position and we missed our fancy entrance. It sort of threw us off and we messed up a couple times because the beginning threw the whole thing off :( We also had a coordinated timeline and we were not going to give speeches. Only the best man and maid of honor were giving speeches. But the DJ brought the mic over and told us to stand up and give a thanks. Neither me or my husband are public speakers and we’re very shy so this was unexpected and not in the plan. Just a few small things didn’t go our way but other than that it was a fantastic night. I’d recommend, just make sure you’re VERY clear on what you want.

t hire a consultant or anyone for that as I was told up from it was my day and after talking about a schedule of events they kind of ran the show, exactly how we wanted it. Even with setup the morning of, I had no stress for the whole day. That is a great wedding if you ask me.

orgot what his name was; however he got a couple good shots and everything just didn’t take a lot of like personal bright and groom photos, or didn’t take any photos of guests dancing. Overall we’re very glad that we spent the amount of money that we did for the DJ we had Nelson he was great! But for the photographer(we won’t name out of respect) not as much; Just make sure whenever you use a photographer to tell them exactly what photos you want and if you want a lot of personal photos like we did let them know that for sure or you’re not gonna get it. Although Steve gave us a great discount for on some of the photos that we only want it out of the 600 so Steve is also a really great person to go to with some of the concerns.

as our photographer you did said it your self, if there is something specific that you are looking for then yes communication is the key. As you also mentioned he did take over 600 images and when we spoke you had found at least 160 of those that you were really happy with. You also mentioned that you had some guest that liked some of the others. In final I am glad you had a good time and I hope that you enjoy the picture that you do like.

Jockey followed every specific requested and played every song we wanted to play. Out of all the weddings I've been to this was probabaly the best dj service I have seen.
