My COVID policy regarding cancellations: Every contract we sign has a 'Time Reservation Deposit' required which guarantees my appearance and activates my services on your date. The moment I receive your deposit, it means no one else can hire me on your event date, period. (And during the high-demand summer Saturdays of June, July, August & September) I typically turn away twice or thrice that many prospective bookings because I have made a solemn promise to perform my duties for you . . . AND YOU, my client, agree to pay the balance owed to me on our booking date when I show up and provide my promised service for you. It's a good-faith agreement that protects both parties. To be clear, our booking agreement is a non-refundable time reservation deposit. A time-reservation deposit is typically only good for a specific agreed-to date. A rescheduled agreement should require a brand-new deposit for the brand-new date. I think that is unfair. Because of the COVID restrictions, I have decided to offer the following: ANY 2023 booked gigs canceled due to the COVID ban of group gatherings I, Dan Weisman, will, whenever possible, apply your original time-reservation deposit of our COVID-canceled contract to a new date, should you choose to reschedule within 12 months from our original booking date . . . provided I have NOT been previously booked by another client on your rescheduled event date. Your original deposit is not transferrable to any other client or occasion. (Like a school fundraiser etc.) As a wedding DJ and MC serving a 70-mile radius around Portland and up into the Southern, WA areas, Dan has collected a suitcase full of 5-Star reviews in just 3 wedding seasons. My husband and I had a great experience working with Dan! We planned our wedding on a pretty tight timeline and were still finalizing music choices just weeks before our event, but Dan was very patient and helpful throughout the entire process....

We held our wedding ceremony and reception in one location with a cocktail hour in between in a second location, and Dan was able to accommodate both. He even made a trip to our venue before our wedding day to scope it out and plan his setups! On the big day, Dan did an excellent job reading the room and playing music that everyone enjoyed – our parents told us that it was the only wedding they’ve been to where people of all ages were up and dancing!

e phone and spend time getting to know us. He is very kind and outgoing and has a good way with words. He showed up early to our wedding and brought enough equipment for our Officiant. He even went two days prior to our venue to scope out the area so he’d be ready day of. He played the music we had requested and made sure to have all the songs we wanted even if he didn’t previously own them. He also dressed the part, looked very professional there.

We had a few things go wrong (non music related) which delayed other things, and he was great at adapting to ensure it went smooth. I was worried about having a weird korny DJer, I’ve heard at other weddings that make people cringe and I was so glad he was far from that! He kept the music going, played fun music that fit my wedding spot on. I was very grateful to have such a professional and nice dj! Would highly recommend, and would without a doubt use him again at any future events.
