My husband and I had a great experience working with Dan! We planned our wedding on a pretty tight timeline and were still finalizing music choices just weeks before our event, but Dan was very patient and helpful throughout the entire process. We held our wedding ceremony and reception in one location with a cocktail hour in between in a second location, and Dan was able to accommodate both. He even made a trip to our venue before our wedding day to scope it out and plan his setups!
On the big day, Dan did an excellent job reading the room and playing music that everyone enjoyed – our parents told us that it was the only wedding they’ve been to where people of all ages were up and dancing!

DJ Dan was so professional he totally put us at ease. He came early, left after we did and took care of everything. He took our music requests into consideration and also played fun, lively music in between. Several guests that I did NOT expect to dance, did because the selection was infectious. He was fun, funny and a great conversationalist too. There were two areas where he set up mics and speakers and his related gear, outside for the ceremony and then another indoors for the reception. So glad we found him here on the Knot and would definitely recommend to all.

Dan was incredible! He excelled in energizing the crowd and demonstrated thorough preparation and professionalism throughout. He meticulously reviewed the event timeline with us on multiple occasions and even took the initiative to visit our venue in advance to strategize his setup. We're absolutely delighted we chose Dan as our wedding DJ!

DJ Dan was such a great choice for our wedding! Preliminary communication was great, he was always very friendly and accommodating to our requests, price was fair, and most importantly, he delivered. So glad DJ filled this important role, helping make our big day extra special!

Dan was very easy to work with. We hired him from our wedding and the only contact we had with him was over the phone and online! We’re from California, so we knew nothing about Portland Djs. Dan was the only DJ who took time to call us over the phone and spend time getting to know us.
He is very kind and outgoing and has a good way with words.
He showed up early to our wedding and brought enough equipment for our Officiant.
He even went two days prior to our venue to scope out the area so he’d be ready day of.
He played the music we had requested and made sure to have all the songs we wanted even if he didn’t previously own them.
He also dressed the part, looked very professional there.

I hired Dan to DJ my son’s wedding! Had no idea what to expect never having done this before and was very pleasantly surprised with how easy Dan made the entire process. A true professional in every sense of the word. We really didn’t have to worry about any aspect of the event entertainment. Dan took care of everything & patiently walked us through the entire process. From the meetings leading up to the event to the set-up, the MC’ing, the music selection to the rapport with our guests & wrap up, it all went flawlessly. DJ Dan was a great DJ with a great sense of humor for our wedding audience! We appreciated his flexibility and last-minute changes on some plans/songs. The equipment and setup were professional, along with the event planning. He emphasized the important details of our wedding timeline and used his expertise to make everything flow smoothly & effectively. We appreciate him being our DJ for our special day.

The wedding DJ is such a key part of any wedding. The DJ can make or break the wedding more than anyone else.
DJ Dan was an absolute delight and the perfect person to have as our DJ. He very quickly understood what we were looking for and spent so much time with us making sure every detail was just as we liked. He arrived at the party much earlier than anyone, and was the last man standing at the wedding. Our music was flawless. We cannot recommend DJ Dan enough and will definitely be calling him for any of our events in the future.

Dan was amazing from start to finish. He was the only DJ that got back to us same day after putting in an inquiry with him and I am SO glad we booked him for our wedding. He was so kind and hilarious throughout everything. We even changed our plans on him due to COVID and he still made our day a priority. I cannot say enough nice things about him. We had numerous phone calls with him planning out the exact song versions we wanted and he executed everything perfectly for our day. He even MC’d the ‘shoe game’ and it was so much fun - our family loved it.
After everything was said and done he also mailed us photos he took of our day in a slide show version.
My husband and I cannot thank him enough. If you are looking for a DJ, stop looking. DJ Dan is your guy!!

DJ Dan Weisman is the ultimate party professional! He has DJ'd our school Auction for the past 6 years. His music selection is always stellar and he also provides excellent MC services and works well with our other vendors. His sound effects during our live auctions really make them fun and our guests are always entertained. Thank you Dan!

DJ Dan did an exceptionally amazing job with recommending music, explaining what he needed from us to pick the best songs to play, and organizing the music from start to end of the wedding. Everyone at the wedding, including the venue owners, loved him! He responds quickly, was easy to work with, and is a genuine person! He does this job because he LOVES it, both the music and making experiences for others. I would highly recommend DJ Dan for any wedding or musical event where you need great music but don't want to have to worry! Not to mention he even took an amazing picture of my new husband and I dancing and sent it to us!

Dan was the best! Starting from the beginning, he was very professional yet has a great sense of humor. He was very thorough and detailed every step of the way to give me the sense of peace/reassurance I needed amongst everything else crazy wedding related going on. He was great about helping with a detailed timeline and how it would go as well as good recommendations. On our big day he was phenomenal. We had a few things go wrong (non music related) which delayed other things, and he was great at adapting to ensure it went smooth. I was worried about having a weird korny DJer, I’ve heard at other weddings that make people cringe and I was so glad he was far from that! He kept the music going, played fun music that fit my wedding spot on. I was very grateful to have such a professional and nice dj! Would highly recommend, and would without a doubt use him again at any future events.
