I had to ask him to get out of the dessert line to make announcements about our event. Our special dances had to stop to buffer. He called my mother-in-law the wrong name over the microphone to come up for her mother-son dance. He played the wrong song at every turn (walking down the aisle and first dance). We paid for the Photo Booth and the audio guest book, both of which did not make it to the venue. When we were trying to figure out why, we were told multiple different stories that did not add up. We have been in the process of getting a refund for over six months. Not a single thing that they have promised has been delivered. I would’ve been better off with my Spotify and JBL speaker. The only thing people remember from my wedding day is how terrible the DJ was. this company should not be trusted with special events.

They brought a photo booth when we did not want one, deviated from the playlist after they asked us for a detailed playlist, took requests when we asked them not to (which led to some VERY awkward moments with guests), gave the microphone to others when we asked them not to. They asked us for all kinds of information/input and then promptly ignored all of it.

y. Everyone we met from the company was extremely patient, helpful, kind, funny and knew how to have a good time. We met with Michael before the wedding to go over our songs and song list and we learned that Michael would be our DJ the night of our reception. Michael was awesome and kept the party alive. Our guests loved him, the music, and the whole atmosphere of the evening which we truly believe is credited to an awesome DJ.

Like many brides, I was so busy planning a lot of other parts of the wedding that I didn't have time to choose specific songs I wanted. But DJ Michael got us. He played Luther Vandross' Dance with My Father for the first dance with my dad. My husband was in charge of booking the DJ, so he and DJ Michael were the ones directly communicating but I was very involved. DJ Michael is very experienced, especially with weddings. He is professional, a pleasure to work with. Didn't miss a beat. He knows how to read a crowd. We had such a fun time!! Thanks a million Michael!

When we decided to postpone in 2020, he was quick to make the rescheduling easy to do for our wedding in August 2023. Picking our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing was easy. I felt like after Michael took a look at our song choices he knew exactly what to play all night. Our dance floor was PACKED as soon as he announced the floor was open! Michael read the crowd and knew exactly what to play next to keep the party going. Everyone could make requests using their phones as well. I swear I thought the dance floor was going to break. Thank you Michael for everything, the night could not have been more perfect thanks to you and we highly recommend Michael for your wedding DJ!

So many people, and I mean so many, came up to us at the wedding and after saying how incredible DJ Mike was and how they could hire him for their next event. Our 140-person wedding was partying all night long thanks to Mike! Our friends have joked our wedding is now the standard for future weddings, and we can't take the credit for that - that's all Mike, thanks for making us look good!!

One thing I forgot to mention above was that Michael was instant on replying to every email I sent with questions and changes. I would usually hear from him within one hour. tivities song we did (a speed round), started playing our cocktail hour music during the dancing/party time, and literally did not even bring the planning sheet I spent hours upon hours working on for him. The company gives a planning sheet to fill out for both the ceremony and reception and asks you to submit it at least two weeks before your event. I filled everything out down to the second I wanted each song started and stopped at and even added extra lines for some additional things I wanted. I honestly don’t even know how he managed to do this but he only had some of the information saved but half of it was missing so he literally walked up to me while I was eating dinner and asked me what he was supposed to do next!! I was so stunned I gave a blank stare and asked him to follow my planning sheet in which he responded that he didn’t bring! So my mom and I had to sit there and think, trying remember what exactly I had picked for everything. Even after reminding him, he still switched things around and continued to come up to me between each activity asking when to start!! On top of that, he also had a really weird energy and seemed very awkward. I truly feel like I would have been better off not having a dj and using an iPod over him being there. Additionally, there was a whole disaster with the uplighting we had paid them to bring. It got water damage from a pipe bursting and although that wasn’t necessarily their fault, I only found out about it the day before my wedding because I was calling to confirm details. At that point it was too short of notice to find another company to provide them. Then to make it even worse, a few days after the wedding I found out that the printer for the Photo Booth had also been damaged so none of my guests got copies of their pictures! Maybe the other DJ that works for the company would have done a better job but it is not worth the risk so save yourself the trouble and do not book them! The only positive thing I can say is that they did refund us due to the uplight fiasco but that doesn’t even begin to make up for the most important day of my life being ruined.

Even given the very short notice Michael was able to source an amazing DJ, integrate our music requests, coordinate timing, make sure the equipment was all set to go, etc. The DJ was amazing, and was super responsible regarding setup/soundcheck--I didn't need to do nor worry about anything besides showing up to my own event. I never once felt stressed or concerned. On top of that, Michael is extremely responsive (much more so than other companies I looked into), and his pricing is extremely competitive. I would 100% recommend Michael and Fun Squad DJs to anyone who needs a DJ for their event!

It was as if they didn't even bother to pay attention to our preferences. To make matters worse, when we approached them about these issues, they became incredibly defensive and dismissive, refusing to take any responsibility for their mistakes. It's disheartening when a vendor you've entrusted with such an important part of your wedding is unwilling to acknowledge their shortcomings. Adding insult to injury, it took them over a month to process our refund. Their lack of professionalism and poor communication only further compounded our frustration and dissatisfaction. They provided a subpar service, displayed a lack of integrity, and left us with unpleasant memories of what should have been the happiest day of our lives. Sure you can save some money with the discounts they offer but save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a DJ who actually cares about their clients and can deliver on their promises.

From the start communication was way better than any other vendor we hired. We had one vendor we couldn't reach until the week of the wedding so Fun Squad DJs being so quick to reply to every question was amazing. The ceremony and reception were in two different locations and they did everything with precision and ease. Every music cue was perfect and the sound quality was superb. I have nothing but great things to say. We are super picky so if I had something negative to say like our cake (different vendor, cough, cough), I would. Seriously it was great and my company will use them next for our annual party. Thank You Fun Squad DJs!

The day of the wedding a new person shows up- not the one we had been talking with without warning. They didn't have our music and played the most random stuff. We also heard a few repeats. We had to remind the DJ during the wedding what we wanted to hear. No one would hear the DJ announce anything for dinner. They didn't bring several things we paid for the (photo booth, white speakers, wireless Mic for our ceremony etc). Then to add insult to injury they took over a month to refund us (the check was in the mail then it wasn't then they did end up Venmoing us a particle refund).

Michael kept the reception perfectly paced (even after the end of the event was moved up) without making my husband and I feel rushed or stressed and NO EXTRA CHARGE by the way. In addition, he did a spectacular job at choosing music that kept all of our guests (of all ages) on the dance floor and having a great time. I could not have asked for a better DJ for my wedding reception and would recommend him to anyone that wants a fantastic, fun, professional DJ that goes out of his way to make your wedding a huge success!

script were unclear. Then we got to the first dance. He absolutely BLASTED us in the face with our song, at top volume. We stopped and stared at him. He didn't react to us at all for almost a solid minute, until we started gesturing to others and yelled at him to turn it down. I had curated a 2.5 hour playlist for the dancing part of the celebration that my partner linked Michael well in advance. All he had to do was press shuffle on Spotify. But he started blasting "Single Ladies" as soon as the toasts were finished. I intentionally left this song off my playlist because there was only 1 person at the entire reception who was single, and I think the song is demeaning to play at weddings. This was my first clue that he was not following our instructions. He continued playing other stereotypical "wedding" songs - ones that I did not approve and do not personally enjoy. I asked my husband to speak with the DJ about it. My husband went to ask him why he wasn't playing our playlist, and he said he "didn't get it." It was in his email inbox. One of my bridesmaids then CALMLY and POLITELY approached to ask him if he had gotten the playlist that I sent him. He immediately told her that she needed to "calm down" and "get away" and that she was "getting all up in his grill." I went and told him he needed to be more polite to my bridesmaids and he told me, "I wasn't rude! I'm sorry if she TOOK it that way." That is not an apology, and not how you speak to the bride OR guests at the wedding. At that point he had finally switched the music to my playlist, so I left it alone and tried to enjoy the rest of my evening. However, Michael's unprofessional demeanor and his inability to follow simple instructions left a sour taste in my mouth. I want to warn EVERYONE about this company. Don't waste your money. Hire actual professionals.

surprised by how packed the dance floor was all night. This was due to Michael’s high energy and killer music! As the bride, the ceremony was the most memorable part for me. I collaborated with Michael to design the processional/recessional flow which was tailored to be classy, but not overly sappy. It was seamless and brought everyone to (happy) tears. I could focus on being in that moment because he took care of everything! Prior to the wedding, Michael was easy-going and fun to work with! The moment I had a question he responded through email or phone immediately, I mean really fast and within minutes of my question. That was amazing. I have never met someone who responded so quickly through email! He is an incredibly thoughtful, attentive, kind and a COOL guy! Michael learned styles/songs we liked and didn’t like so he could make the evening fit our style and keep the vibe up which he knocked out of the park! I know Fun Squad DJs and Michael especially facilitates a wide array of events, but I would 100% recommend them/him for your wedding if you want someone who is a pleasure to work with, and someone you can totally trust, and keep your guests dancing all night!

We got so many compliments from our guests regarding Michael, our DJ. The venue even told us that they have never seen a wedding with so many people dancing and singing along. That is truly at testament to Michael's skills. Michael also made it possible for me to surprise my husband with a special song at the reception. He brought our vision to life, made us dance in the cloud (Dry ice). I would recommend Michael at Fun Squad DJs to everyone!
