g in at all hours. We booked the Gas Light because we're big fans of pizza, it has great options for food and beverage packages, and it's right downtown if people want to hang out after. From first contact to the end of Friday night, Kate was extremely helpful in orchestrating the perfect event. The night club space is ideal for open, mingle-y and casual events like ours. 360 bar, tons of comfortable booth-style seating, cocktail tables to lean against, and a separate space where we could put our guest book (a quilt my husband's aunt made) and all the food. I woefully underestimated how much our guests would eat before the pizza came out, and then the ovens weren't ready so there was a period where no food was available, but Kate and her bartenders were absolutely on top of it and once pizza was ready they kept it coming until everyone had some, so it all worked out in the end! There are screens and a projector if you have AV elements to your event, but we chose to keep it simple with just a welcome message. We were also able to plug in our own music and brought our own decorations. Kate was there to make sure everything went smoothly, especially during clean-up and the transition to night club (which I truly barely noticed). The bartenders were all extremely friendly and helpful too! It was the perfect place to kick off our wedding weekend in downtown Portsmouth.
