Posh Bridal was the first and only place I went to shop for my wedding dress. Having just moved to the Twin Cities and wanting to spend less than $1,000 on a dress, I went to Posh as a “first stop” based on a recommendation from a co-worker.
Thinking that my first dress appointment would give me a better idea of what I wanted, I ended up walking out “saying yes to the dress.” The staff did an amazing job listening to what I liked and didn’t like, while helping me feel excited about this being the start of my wedding planning. I tried on 10 dresses and ended up purchasing the one that felt right and looked amazing.
Their selection of off-the-rack dresses is stunning with a variety of styles and price points. There are plenty of other bridal salons around the Twin Cities, but what sets Posh apart is their friendly, welcoming and unpretentious staff. They made me feel special throughout the entire process and I’d highly recommend them to any bride as their first— and probably only—stop to find the dress.
I LOVED my experience here! I went to 4 other Bridal stores and found some I loved but the overall experience here was amazing. I loved that they are now 100% off the rack! I would have never picked out the dress that i ended up falling in love with - my attendant working with me was great and i love their new location in Hopkins.
When you initially go to pick out your dress they make you feel like a princess, however after you pay it’s a nightmare. Minimal communication on when your dress will be here. Save the stress and avoid this place.
Amazing staff and great selection. They made it incredibly easy to find a beautiful dress!
Would do 0 if I could. I suggest reading their Better Business Bureau page to see why to avoid this place.
After going to 5 bridal salons I had lost all hope that I would have that "magical bridal feeling" of finding the perfect dress. I go to Posh Bridal and the very first dress that my consultant surprised and put me in it was the dress! I got one of their Posh private label dresses and I couldn't be happier with my experience there thank you so much!!!
Side note 3 months later I am picking up my dress and it is still just as perfect as when I picked it out! Posh was great about any questions or concerns I had. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!
THE BEST EXPERIENCE! After going to 5plus dress stores within the Twin Cites this store helped me customize the perfect dress! Marie helped put my racing thoughts and ideas into the one dress. I would recommend this store to over and over again... Even during COVID this store was able to give me the perfect experience!!!
If you only shop at one place for your dress, let it be here! I chose my dress of the rack and left with it that day. I was beyond impressed with the quality of service and overall experience that Marie gave me! She was very welcoming and made myself and my friends feel right at home. Excellent selection of off-the rack dresses in affordable price ranges as well.
Horrible. I received my dress 2 weeks before my wedding...2 WEEKS! Brides please beware, you will hear lie after lie. My veil even came just a few days before the wedding to top it off and they even lied about its arrival. The only good thing is they treat you so well when you go through the trying on/buying process, but after that you can be sure to be treated like you never bought anything from them.
I feel as though people write more bad reviews then good. So here is my good review!
I was interested in looking at Posh Bridal for my wedding gown until I read some of these reviews. Then I wasn’t so sure, they bummed me out! No one wants to hve to stress over there wedding gown.
I had my appointment in June and I fell in love with the first dress I tried on. Of course, I tried on more. The staff was so nice and listened to what I wanted. It was exactly what I dreamed of. The experience was exactly what I was looking for.
I was told my dress would in 6-8 months. I was also told when I emailed them and had a question that the private line dresses were coming in early. Boy were they right!
Fast forward to this week in mid- October- my dress was in! It came in less then 4 months! I was so excited and couldn’t believe it! And it is perfect! I went in for my final fitting and it was amazing! Although my vail wasn’t in yet, I asked if they could ship it and they were very happy too!
Overall, I highly recommend Posh Bridal! I had a great experience from start to finish! The staff is very kind and great at communicating! I am so glad I gave them a chance! They went above and beyond!
Stay away. So many horror stories. Stay awayyy
***** BRIDES TO BE!!! I ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ ALL OF THESE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU MAKE THE DECISION OF PURCHASING YOUR GOWN HERE*****
If I could give this place a negative zero rating, I would.
When I came to posh bridal to look for my gown last OCTOBER, I was ecstatic. The whole experience was incredible of looking and buying the dress I was truly on cloud nine.. they said my dress would be here and ready JUNE 10, that was 9 Months. I had read the horrible nightmares of reviews but decided to give this place a chance because a friend of mine had a wonderful experience here. I found the gown of my absolute dreams!!!
Well here we are, August 11th and still not a WORD not a PEEP from these people. I started calling every 3 weeks back in June when my dress was supposedly “on the way”.
I’ve left messages for Marie COUNTLESS of times - just hoping to talk to someone and be reassured that my dress is still coming.
As someone who has been in customer service my whole adult Life, this has been HANDS DOWN 100% the WORST experience of my entire life.
Marie, I have no idea how you are still in business. You have got to be the WORST business owner of all time. It’s like you truly do not care one bit about your customers Only about the money coming in. You would think after calling many many times, leaving you messages every single time to please call me back and 2 months later I have STILL not heard from you and not received my dress. You’ve completely ruined my entire experience and if I could go back to October and never walked through the doors of your bullshit store - I wouldn’t be in this mess today. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will be grateful to never have to do business with you ever again.
*****Brides to be do NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU GET YOUR WEDDING DRESS 1-2 years in advance and maybe then not even. YIKES. *****
UPDATE** I was able to track down the contact information of the representative for my designer through another bridal shop. He answered right away! He told me my dress has been made and ready to ship since the beginning of April but they couldn't ship my gown out because she hasn't paid for the dress and that she owes the designer money. My dress was paid in FULL as of 3/16. He was able to email her for me about when she was planning on taking my dress, but of course she has not emailed back.
She takes the money that one client pays for to buy another clients dress and so on and so forth. That's why brides don't receive their dresses until a week or so before their wedding. This is called a Ponzi Scheme. It's illegal, fraudulent and unethical.
**Also, within 20 minutes of writing my review, from not hearing from posh for two months about my gown, I received a text message threatening me that they will be forced to contact their lawyer if I continue to slander her name and reputation. Nothing I've said here is slander- this is all very very real folks. The fact that I've been contacted about my review and threatened, instead of trying to fix this terrible situation she's got herself Into should tell you what kind of people we're dealing with.
I had a wonderful experience working with Posh to buy the dress of my dreams. I ordered my dress last June 2019, and they were very honest with the arrival date taking approximately 9 months. My dress arrived 9 months later to the shop in March. Working with the challenges of COVID, Posh did a wonderful job of making sure I got to see my dress in pictures and then shipped me my dress to my house since they were not open for appointments. I thought they were very open & honest during the entire process and communicated well, especially during our circumstances!
Hi fellow brides! I felt it was extremely important to write this review simply because sometimes unfortunately people only write about the bad experiences. I want to preface by saying I was so excited for my bridal appointment last August (2019) my experience was amazing. I was the only girl in the showroom, it was a total one on one experience. I found my dress and ordered it that day. I was told it would arrive April.
I checked in a few times throughout the year to make sure everything was on schedule with my dress and M. Elizabeth/Posh staff was quick to respond to my texts and calls always. I was told my dress may arrive early and then COVID-19 happened! I was extremely worried about if I was going to be able to receive my dress. I asked almost every day I swear if everything was going okay, etc. and they always responded keeping me in the loop. It was delayed a bit due to COVID, however they offered to deliver/ship/curbside pickup my dress upon arrival.
I was told as soon as my dress arrived, and I picked it up days later. I was greeted by the owner herself with a gift bag, champagne, a hand written card, and my dress. Times are tough and I am truly so thankful for the experience I had here. My dress is in perfect condition, and arrived right on time. Thank you M. Elizabeth/Posh for the wonderful experience. I can't wait to (hopefully) get married this August 2020 in my amazing gown!
Horrendous experience! I did not have an option to give 0 stars, so had to give a rating of 1 star. Meredith the salesperson was the only positive in our experience, and it stopped at the sale point. Purchased wedding dress and paid in full via Visa, 04-27-2019, 10 months prior to wedding date of 02-22-2020. Because of the September, 2019, WCCO story, as well as the The Knot stories regarding POSH's poor business practices, and the fact that the brides hadn't received their wedding dresses, my daughter began to check in with Posh in October, 2019. She got the same stories about possible "problems in Customs, designer being on vacation over the holidays", etc... Finally in 01-10-2020, James the manager at POSH, stated via email, "I have been chatting with the designer and am working on finding out what day your dress is going to arrive to me". He had already told her once she'd receive it by 01-07-2020. My daughter authorized James to communicate with me because she worked the night shift. I emailed James, 01-10-2020, and asked for facts. I did not hear back but he told my daughter; he'd contact the designer again and would get back to her. Heard nothing. I emailed him again on Jan. 13th and I had said that the owner, Marie Suchy, was the responsible party, so I hoped he had access to her. I had also contacted the designer directly that day, who by the way is located in US, so "customs" excuse was a bad one! They were going to contact the owner "again" that day to let her know the dress had been ready to be shipped, giving her a last chance to purchase the dress. I received an email from the owner of POSH, Marie Suchy on 01-13, and she said we should be able to schedule another fitting for the following week as she was working with designer. On Jan. 14th, she said she'd "circle back soon". Because we did not hear from her and POSH did not purchase the dress from the designer, although she had been paid in full; we canceled our Visa payment to POSH and re-purchased the dress directly from the designer, 01-16-2020. Only when the owner saw the Visa charge back on 01-20-2010, did she reach out via email. I did not respond. We received the beautiful dress in the mail from the designer, January 21-2020, one month before the wedding. How someone can continue to operate and hurt so many people is beyond me.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. The experience I had buying a dress at posh was WORSE than I could have imagined. If you would like to know more, WCCO 4 news did a story on Posh in September, watch and you will see other stories like mine.
Like many other brides have stated in their reviews, I did not have my dress for my wedding. As my wedding date neared, I called the shop weekly to ask for an update on my dress. The employees were rude and not helpful.
I do not usually do reviews, but I do not want anyone to have to go through the same terrible experience I had with Posh Bridal.
Finding the perfect wedding dress is a joyous and emotional time for a bride and her family. Marie Suchy and Posh Bridal soured this memory for me and caused so much unneeded stress to my wedding planning.
Please DO NOT SHOP HERE. There are so many other bridal boutiques that do not have this reputation. DO NOT RISK IT.
Posh Bridal is an amazing place to experience getting your wedding dress! To start it is an absolutely breath taking space with snacks, champagne and your own private area to experience this time with your closest friends and family. Barb was my point of contact who helped me with my appointment and she was an absolute delight to work with. She was professional, kind and never pushed me into a style/sale. I felt absolutely comfortable with informing her of my dream dress and she did not disappoint in delivering! I have nothing but great things to say about Posh and refer it to all of my friends that are getting married.
Do NOT buy from this shop. They tell EVERYONE their dress will be ready in 6 months regardless of designer, style, dress, etc. so they can get as many people to buy dresses as possible. They over-promise and under-deliver. Even WCCO did a story on how awful they are (read it). And for other people who have had the same experience, PLEASE fill out a formal complaint to the state so this place can get shut down as soon as possible.
I bought my dress in January of 2019 for my wedding in February 2020. I had a great experience trying on dresses and felt great buying my dress here. At the time, there were only a few bad reviews and figured it must have been unreasonable people (I was wrong).
I was told I would get my dress around July. August came and went but I was busy with planning and didn't pay any mind to it since I had plenty of time. September comes and I still haven't heard anything so I call to check in. I'm told its going to be done soon and I should get it mid October. I mention I was getting nervous because of the other reviews and they try to tell me it was just a smear campaign from another bridal salon. However, I had at this point learned from 4 other people personally that they had the exact same issues of receiving their dress late. Mid October comes and I call again just to hear it should be getting shipped out any day and I should get it by end of October. This continues until about mid November when they finally tell me its done in production. Now I am calling every few days to find out when its going to ship out.
I'd say it took about 3 weeks to ship out after being done in production even when I've been waiting 5 months past the time I was supposed to get the dress. And then they wouldn't give me a concrete time when it was going to arrive. I started calling every day and no matter what, they put me off again and again. I can't tell you how many times I was lied to during my experience with Posh.
Finally, after waiting 5 months and 2 weeks after the 6 month mark I was given, I got my dress today (December 26 2019). I'm just lucky I was able to get my dress more than 2 weeks before my wedding (or later), unlike some other people who received their dresses egregiously late.
I never even got an excuse as to why it was late. I was put off time and time again. The lack of sincerity in all the, "So sorry you're going through this" I received was infuriating.
If you enjoy getting lied to, cheated out of your money, and disrespected, this is the perfect bridal shop for you. I sincerely hope this place goes out of business.
SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF STRESS AND ANXIETY! We purchased our daughter’s bridal gown on 3/2/2019 and paid for it in full. We were told that the dress was ordered that day and that it would arrive in 6 months-September. We stopped into Posh on 9/13/2019 to check on the dress because we heard horror stories that brides were not getting their dresses on time. We were told not to worry, the dress was “on schedule” to arrive in September. Two and a half weeks later it was the end of September and we had no dress. During that time period numerous calls were made to Posh and numerous excuses were given by Posh. We took it upon ourselves to call the designer of the dress. Note-designers don’t like to hear from brides or their mothers! Especially when you call several times. Oh....did I mention we had an attorney who also called the designer?! Finally we were given a shipping date and an arrival date-actually 3 arrival dates by Posh. The dress didn’t arrive on any of those dates. Our daughter had an appointment at Posh to pick up the dress the day after the last arrival date we had been given. When she arrived she was told her dress must have been left on the UPS truck because it wasn’t in the shipment they received. Hmmm.....Posh expected her to leave after being told that. Our daughter called the attorney who had been helping us, who in turn called the designer. We had a connection with UPS too. Posh had no idea we knew someone at UPS! Our daughter called the UPS connection and was told to wait outside and low and behold a UPS truck was coming down the road making deliveries as it was coming. When the truck stopped at Posh our daughter asked if there was a box from the designer of her dress. The driver said yes. Once the box was delivered our daughter asked a Posh employee to please see if her dress was inside. At first the employee refused, then the employee scolded her, and finally opened the box. There was her dress! I’m sure we wouldn’t have gotten the dress in enough time for alterations had it not been for the attorney who helped us and the fact that we had contacted the MN Attorney General. In October our daughter was forced to cancel one fitting appointment because she didn’t have the dress. The seamstress doing the alterations said if she didn’t make the next appointment it would be too late to alter the dress before her November wedding.
Oh and one more thing..... we had issues with the veil also. It was at Posh in August, gone in September, replaced with the wrong one, and had to be reordered after the designer was enlightened. Just so you know, the dress and veil designers are not one in the same. So do yourself a favor and go to a different bridal shop. If you are still waiting for your dress I suggest you contact the MN Attorney General and get yourself an attorney!
This place needs to be shut down.
I purchased my dress on Aug 1st, 2018 and waited over 14 months for it to arrive. At the end of September 2019, I was fortunately able to get in touch with the designer who provided UPS tracking information for my dress, something Posh told me was illegal to provide. From the tracking information I learned that my dress was shipped on Sept 9th (from Canada, more than 13 months after the order was placed) and arrived in Maple Grove only 3 days later on Sept 12th. The tracking information also showed that 2 delivery attempts were made but UPS "was unable to collect funds" from Posh on both delivery attempts. According to UPS tracking, Posh then requested the package be held for pickup at the UPS facility. Per policies that apply to this particular package, UPS would hold it for 14 days. If UPS was unable to collect funds from the receiver within those 14 days, the package would be returned to the sender. On Sept 27th my dress left Maple Grove and was sent back to the designer. At that point, being only 2 months away from my wedding, I reluctantly purchased a second dress from a different bridal shop (they were incredible).
My Posh dress arrived on Oct 16th, more than 14 months after I paid for it in full and more than 6 months after the timeline outlined in their contract. This was after filing a complaint with the Attorney General and initiating a dispute with my credit card company.
Posh will argue that my dress arrived with plenty of time for alterations: this may be true, but too many other dresses arrive within 2 weeks or less from the wedding date.
Posh will offer to pay for your alterations and may even offer to throw in a veil if you don't have one yet: alterations will only be paid for if you go through their 'preferred' tailors and the veils offered are off the rack (damaged) - if you're lucky and have enough time, they might offer to order you a new raw edge veil.
Posh will point to the line in their Sales Agreement that states they are not responsible for manufacturer delays: the UPS tracking information proves that, in my case, Posh was involved in the delay. I would speculate that Posh has been involved in MANY of the delays described by others.
Take your business somewhere else!!
I have had one of the most stressful experiences with Posh and I’m not even done...
I ordered my dress in February, the 17th to be exact and was told it would be in 6-8 months from order date. Well August came around and I called and nope nothing yet, September came around and I was told it had shipped! Thank goodness! Well October came around and I called back to check and we’ll now it had just shipped they said 🤨. So okay another week it should be here... then after calling and no return phone calls from anyone I called end of October and spoke with Bethany she promised me her help and would not leave me hanging and my dress would be here with plenty of time. She also suggested we only email since she can reply faster and I would have a legit copy of what she said. She did get back to me and promised me it would be here 2nd week in November. Well that was on the phone, I asked for her to email what she said so I had it for my records. Then in the email it switched to 3rd week in November.. hmm okay.
Fast forward to now, I sent an email on the 14th to Bethany asking for an update on my dress and some type of proof of shipping cause I wasn’t really believing it had shipped. Instead of an email again I got a call from James. He couldn’t provide me with any proof of shipping since my order number and the number they got aren’t the same, which is difficult to understand how they keep them all organized and go to the right bride but whatever. He promised me it would be in on 21st to 24th. Which is 7-10 days and it was shipping. So I asked again for and email that had that so I had it for my records. Nope never sent anything. So I asked Bethany if I needed a new dress, was this actually happening, and if she could give me answers. No answer. No answer from her and no answer from james. I’ve sent 3 emails to Bethany and two to James. And still no dress...
Don’t get me wrong picking it out and everything was great there. Except you have to pay in full for your dress which most places is half and I should have known how big of a red flag that was.
Go check out their reviews on google. I’m not the only bride this has happened to, it seems like this is what they just like to do.
I am only giving them a 1 because a 0 isn't an option. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR DRESS HERE. The dress will not arrive in time for you to get altered / fitted / etc. It has gotten so bad that it made the Minneapolis news recently. Future brides please watch this link: https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/tag/posh-bridal-couture/
Throughout the entire process of waiting for my dress, I was always the one reaching out to them via phone and the owner only responds via text. There was only one time I finally got the owner on the phone, and the encounter was less than pleasant. Also, I live in NORTH DAKOTA and the bridal stores here knew all about it already because they had so many girls shopping for their second dress here.
Timeline:
1/5/19 – Dress is purchased at Posh Bridal in Wayzata, MN. I was told it could arrive as early as May and receipt states it would take up to 6 months, which would be January 5. (Wedding scheduled in AZ for 9/21/19, but I was leaving on 9/16/19)
Between January and August, was told every couple of weeks that my dress would be in the "next shipment"
8/29/19 – The owner Marie let me know it would still be a couple of days because the box was being held in customs. She refused to provide the tracking number.
8/31 – I read online reviews and based on some advice some of the other brides this was happening to gave, decided to reach out to another boutique that deals with the same designer – Rivini. When I told them what was happening with her dress they were appalled. They mentioned they had never had a dress come in that late for a bride from the designer and that Rivini is fabulous and quick to work with and always ships in plenty of time.
9/6 – Only 10 days prior to leaving for my destination wedding - Posh Bridal texted Kelsey to schedule a time to pick up her dress and that it had arrived. They did not attempt a phone call or offer to ship it like they had originally offered. They also did not call or e-mail that it had arrived either.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. Dress arrived 16 days before my wedding and required alterations!!! Similar to many recent reviews, I had a horrible experience with Posh and the worst customer service. My experience with Posh added unnecessary stress leading up to my wedding and lost sleep as I constantly questioned if my wedding dress was ever going to arrive. I purchased my dress in December 2018 for a wedding the first weekend in November 2019. I was told it would arrive in 6-8 months. I started calling in June to check-in on the status of my dress in order to schedule alterations appointments. They didn’t know when the dress would arrive. September rolls around, still no dress. I called multiple times to check-in on the status of my dress and was fed lies… the dress shipped, dress is shipping next week, will arrive in September, dress should arrive at end of September, only my manager can tell you when the dress will arrive, actually to be safe, dress will be here in mid-October. They won’t provide any tracking information. I called at the beginning of October and one of the sales floor people had the audacity to ask why I was calling again since we had spoken before (well when it’s a month before your wedding and you still don’t have your dress, you keep calling!). I had to cancel 5 alterations appointments because I was told the dress had shipped and would be here, and never arrived when they said it would.
I find it entertaining because Posh recently posted on their Instagram that 2020 and 2021 brides should start shopping because it takes 6-8 months to receive a dress and alterations take about 2-3 months! Well, my dress did not arrive in 6-8 months, and I only had two weeks to get alterations done. Fortunately, my dress did not require many alterations and the woman who did my alterations was amazing given she only had two weeks to turnaround alterations.
AVOID THIS BOUTIQUE.
Most stressful part of my wedding was buying my dress here. I bought it with 11 months to spare and it came 3 weeks before my wedding and was 3-4 sizes too big. All I wanted was honesty and for them to practice a TINY bit of customer service and take responsibility for the delay and incorrect measurements. Seeing so many similar reviews means this wasn't a fluke thing but their norm. Shop anywhere else!
Posh Bridal Couture was my first stop for finding a wedding dress. It came highly recommended to me from a close family friend. The dress I ended up purchasing was the second dress I tried on and my group had so much fun on that day. I purchased my dress in September 2018 and it was supposed to arrive in April 2019.
The true nightmare began in early 2019.
1. Communication: I'm an out of town bride. I was given my reps contact info to comfort my ease during the wedding planning process. After emails and emails of no response with my rep, I finally called Posh to find out that she no longer worked for Posh – and for quite some time. This was extremely discomforting as no one notified me and she was supposed to be my “go-to” person.
2. Money: My mom paid the down deposit the day I purchased my dress with $1k due when we picked up the dress in April. In Jan/Feb, Posh (their booky etc) went into my parent’s checking account and withdrew money without their consent. Once confronted, Posh said they would write my parents a check for their mistake. My mom had to call and call to figure out where the check was. It FINALLY came after my father threatened to file a fraud claim with WellsFargo.
a. I also deposited money at Posh in person towards the pending balance on my dress. Somehow, they had no record of me depositing the cash in their system later. I had to bring back in the receipt to show what I had put down.
3. Lies: I was told my dress would come in April and it didn’t come until end of August. I called countless times and the phone rep always had a different excuse. Several times I was told it was in the next shipment and it would be at their store on a certain date. I made travel plans around those dates because I’m an out of town bride and my dress did not arrive at said date. I wasted so much time and money on false promises.
Overall, please sort through the comments. Everything that is being said is true. Most likely the 5 stars are employee/engine generated.
I’m so so fortunate to have received my beautiful dress and to have found an alterations specialist that could alter in time. After seeing the WCCO article, my parents also filed a letter to the attorney’s general office about the money withdrawal.
Thank you to you and the posh team for the amazing experience and customer service. From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked down the aisle in that dress, it was magical. Sam was amazing while trying on dresses and the team in general truly is the best in the business. The experience that I had dreamed of for so long far exceeded my expectations. Saying yes to the dress with my bride squad was and will be one of the best memories of my wedding planning process because of Posh Bridal! Thank you a million and one times!
Save yourself a huge amount of stress and worry and do not go here! We ordered my daughters dress from Posh on Dec 22, 2018. We did not get that dress until 10 days before the wedding, in October 2019, 7 working days for alterations! What bride has time for several alterations appointments the week of her wedding?!!! They kept saying the dress had shipped, week after week, but would never provide us with documentation or a tracking number. Just lies. About 3 weeks before the wedding I could not believe them that the dress would even show up before the wedding so we bought a beautiful dress off the rack from another shop. We never got an explanation from Posh as to why this happened nor did we get an apology. We were never able to talk directly to the owner. This is a horrible way to run a business and a horrible way to treat customers. Do not purchase here!!!
Beware Don't Buy Here!!!! The purchasing experience is wonderful, however the dress won't arrive in time for the wedding!! The delivery timeline they originally gave us was 6-7 months. We ordered my daughters dress 10 months before the wedding. At 7 months after the purchase, we started to call for ETA. They won't return calls. The only way to talk to them is to drive back to the store. They will lie to you about when the dress will arrive. At 8 months after we ordered, they said the dress shipped from Spain and would take 14 Business days. At 9 months after ordering we were told it was in customs. It then spent a month is customs!!! While it was in customs, they couldn't give us an ETA or a tracking number. Again, they won't return calls. We were forced to buy another dress off the rack. The dress arrived a couple of weeks before they wedding, we weren't given any heads up to schedule alterations. DON"T BUY YOUR DRESS AT POSH!!
It has been the most stressful experience dealing with Posh. I ordered my dress March 1. I was told it "should" arrive in September. My wedding is November 2 and I still have no dress. I spoke to Posh today and I was told it will arrive in 1-2 weeks. I was forced to buy a back up dress. This has been very stressful for my entire family.
Something very concerning is going on with this business. I have to wonder if they use your money to pay off their expenses and order the dress when they have some funds - typically when your wedding is a week or two away.
*** Update: I did receive my veil, but no dress. They offered to get me a dress they have in store and expect me to be happy with this solution. A wedding dress is one of the few items in life that there isn't a replacement for. It's not a cocktail dress. I ordered a very expensive, specific dress from them. I don't want an off the rack that everyone has seen and tried on.
DO NOT BUY A DRESS HERE. We are 3 weeks out from our wedding and still no dress. They are now telling us that it “should” be here within the next two weeks. Barely a week before our wedding. They say they can’t provide a tracking number or estimated arrival date. The entire ordeal with Posh has been a nightmare and is the only thing we’ve had any issues with in planning our entire wedding. The answer on when the dress will arrive constantly changes and the store refuses to take any responsibility and merely apologizes that we are feeling stressed. We’ll update the review if the dress arrives but can’t in good faith recommend this store to anybody at this time. WCCO reported on the problems and I’m sad to say they HAVE NOT been addressed.
**I would NEVER recommend purchasing anything from Posh because my dress was over two months late. I feel taken advantage of and really disgusted by what they put me through.
I wish I would have read reviews of Posh before buying my wedding dress from this store. I would give them a 0/5 if I could because they treated me like garbage and then acted as if they would do everything to make it right, yet in my opinion they did not. My story of getting my dress was sad, disappointing and frustrating. My wedding dress was over 2 months late. I was in the process of ordering an alternative wedding dress from a different bridal shop because Posh would not provide me any update on when my dress would actually arrive. I had to rush to have it altered by my seamstress and paid extra money for this.
I paid Posh in full the day I bought my gown and was told my dress would be ordered that day. Their contract states that they do not always order dresses on the same day you purchase your gown. Every time I called for an update I felt that I was told a new lie by the manager James. Each phone call he mentioned a new shipment dates, a new excuse related to the designer or simply would state it was not late, even though it was. This store put me through so much disappointment, frustration, anxiety and additional stress. When I imagined buying my wedding dress I never thought a store would do something like this to me. After a month I did not trust anything they had to say. I called almost everyday for an update and would ask that the manager call me back. In three months James called me once with an update. I initiated every other phone call.
How they choose to treat me changed dramatically after I paid for my dress. I felt that once they had my money it was as if I had never been a paying costumer. What they did to me was wrong on so many levels and I felt taken advantage of and betrayed.
On top of all of this the owner asked me to sign a non-disclosure when I asked for compensation for what they had put me through. Basically trying to pay me to keep quiet about what they did in exchange for money. The owner makes me sick.
If I could go back in time and read reviews I know I would NOT have bought my dress there. I felt as though they preyed on me as a vulnerable bride and felt disrespected by the manager and owner of Posh. They acted as if they did not care about if I got my wedding dress on time. Please read reviews and take your money to a different Bridal shop! DO NOT SHOP HERE!
Posh Bridal is the exact experience you expect to get as a bride-to-be. Big comfy couches/chairs, champagne, beautiful dresses, and the most friendly consultants. I worked with Barb and she really helped my dream come true! She had me try on a range of dresses and helped me eliminate ones along the way. I felt as though she really listened to what I wanted but never tried to sway my decision. I ended up finding the perfect dress that I love so much! Highly recommend Posh Bridal if you are looking for a wedding dress!
Ladies: SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!! I am updating my review for this bridal shop as it was by far the WORST and most STRESSFUL part of my wedding planning!! Just like everyone else, my dress did not arrive on time, I needed to call and email multiple times to get shipping updates, and on top of that, they told me my dress was ready BUT it was someone else's dress!!! I was so stressed at all times about my dress and thankfully I had someone who did my alterations in less than a week, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten my dress fixed in time. Not only that but to "ease" the experience, they try and tell you that they have someone who has a quick turnaround time on alterations and you should give them a call. As if I am going to trust their recommendation on who to alter my dress after the most stressful part of my wedding planning!! I will never, ever, recommend them, not even to my worst enemies!!
DO NOT SHOP HERE.
I ordered a wedding dress in early December and I have it in writing that I’d receive it in “approximately 6-7 months”. It’s September and still no dress for my October wedding. Not only that, Posh has no idea where it is. They gave us lie after lie (it’s in customs, it shipped a month ago, it’ll be here next week) before admitting they just don’t know. When we requested (then demanded) call backs after they claimed they’d contact the designer- nothing. They wouldn’t return calls or communicate with us unless we called again and again. Eventually, it took an in person visit to the store for us to find out the dress isn’t coming, and may never have been ordered by Posh. I now have one month to make new wedding dress arrangements. So disappointed because wedding dress shopping should be one of the most fun and exciting parts of wedding planning, and Posh ruined that once in a lifetime experience for me.
I cannot and will not give this store any positive feedback! As soon as they got the money for my daughters bridal dress, plus the 210$ for rush delivery, they were neglectful in take care of her any further!! Her dress came in two days ago!! September 4! She is getting married September 21!! It was supposed to be here the first week in August! The only consistency for Posh Bridal is to make sure your first stop is amazing. The next area where they get 5 stars for consistency is ignoring phone calls, not providing tracking information for said dress, and 5 previous weeks of nothing but lies about when the dress will arrive. Buyer beware!!
I had a great time trying on dresses and the ladies at POSH were very helpful and enthusiastic. Barb was the best - she really listened to me and helped refine my taste! Overall, I was disappointed with the ordering process and the communication. It didn't make sense that my dress was "arriving shortly" for 6 weeks in a row every time I called. Mine came in the day before I needed it for alterations. Based on the reviews, this doesn't seem like a unique experience. My maid of honor got her dress from their sister store, and it came a week before the wedding (7 months after she ordered it) and she couldn't get it altered. Overall, what a fun day it was to find my dress at POSH but the ordering, communication, and delivery process could definitely be improved.
I am leaving this review not to smear the company, but to hopefully help other brides who may be going through the same situation that I went through.
Our first and last visit to Posh were plesant. Champagne was offered, it's a beautiful suite and the girls were helpful and kind. Like those who gave 1 star revews, I too had to wait until 23 days before my wedding to receive my dress. Posh was kind enough to refund the $250 rush order fee. My best advice to other brides out there who are still waiting for their dress: Get your invoice from Posh, go on your designer's site and find ANOTHER bridal boutique to call. Explain the situation and ask them to call their designer rep to get a phone number for customer relations. Call the designer and speak to customer relations about the situation. Give him/her your invoice number and dress info. CR will not be able to disclose much, but ask if there has been any movement. Ask if there is any reason for you to be concerned. Ask to speak with his/her manager, or if her manager can give you a call. You may also want to email the owner at Posh, Marie, who did responded within 24 hours. Ask for a time frame for when your dress will arrive. Confirm this date by asking her to give permission to customer relations to confirm that date with you. While I'm sure this was not intentional, it still can be discouraging to brides who are already stressed enough about their wedding. Thank you Posh for helping me find the perfect dress. I hope things work out for you going forward.
DO NOT GO TO POSH BRIDAL!!! I wish I read reviews prior to going here!
I bought my dress February 2nd and paid $250 in extra shipping costs and was assured that my dress would arrive at the VERY LATEST end of June for my wedding August 10, 2019. I placed numerous calls at each expected new deadline and every call I would receive different information depending on who I was talking to. I was told my dress would come in the beginning, middle and end of July when my wedding date is August 10th! Every time I called, they would provide different answers and could not provide shipping information. I reached out to the designer and they placed an email to the owner and I still have not received a response from her. I found out my dress had finally arrived on July 31st (10 days before my wedding!!!) by a phone call that was placed by ME to the store. They they proceeded to send a text message a few hours later letting me know that my dress was in. I, of course at this point, had bought another dress because they could only state that the rush shipping fee I paid “just moved me to the top of the designers list” and “they weren’t sure why I was told an expected arrival date of the end of June when I bought my dress”. Their only solution was to provide alterations on-site when I was to pick-up my dress and have refused to even pay the shipping costs back “as these go directly to the designer”.
Terrible experience and customer service after you buy your dress...I was never rude when I called but was told “I know how you’re feeling, I have a daughter” and was then hung up on by James another time! They never provided any solutions or eased my worries, never followed-up after any calls that I placed, and each time I spoke to someone, I was left feeling more helpless.
Please take caution when ordering from Posh Bridal—I decided to write a review as I read reviews after my first few calls placed to Posh left me feeling very uneasy and realized that exactly what I was going through has happened to numerous people. The reviews helped solidify my decision to look for another dress elsewhere just in case and THANK GOSH I did!! I don’t want anyone to go through this with Posh, they truly do not care about you after you purchase your dress!
BEWARE!!!
Once they got my money I felt they couldn’t care less about communicating with me. After reading all of the reviews (which I wish I would of done ahead of time!!) this is clearly a pattern for this business . If I knew what I know now , I would of NEVER walked in the door . Do your homework.
Like many other reviews, the arrival of my dress was extremely late causing much stress only 60 days from my wedding! I did not feel that management was very fair, or accommodating during this stressful time. They were not able to share shipping information or give me any solid information on the whereabouts of my dress. This was an absolutely terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. This also left me with only 8 weeks to get alterations - do-able but extremely stressful.

I had such a great experience at Posh! Barb made finding my wedding dress so much fun and I was able to find my dress in my first appointment! There are options for every bride at Posh and I can't recommend them enough!
I would never send anyone to Posh Bridal. Seriously don’t do it!!!
Arguably the best experience I had with them was when I purchased my dress. I loved the dress and it was in my budget even with a couple of things I ordered in addition. The good times ended there.
I ordered my dress in July and was told that my dress would take six months at the latest to come in. Plenty of time for alterations (my wedding was the following June) and to order a veil to match the color (as they didn’t have my color in shop so I needed to wait until my dress came in).
January came and I got an email saying my dress should be in within 2 weeks. January came and went and I heard nothing from the store. I called the store in February and they said the dress was “delayed” because “the company was running behind” and I would get it in March. So March comes and I again hear nothing from the store.
So after the first week in March I call and am told “the dress is delayed” again. I stick my mom on contacting them. She calls and asks to speak to a manager. The manager was “in a meeting” and would call her back within two hours. But the staff assures is that my dress will be shipped “April 1” but will take 2 weeks to arrive (what shipping takes 2 weeks within the US?) We wait 4 hours and she calls again. The manager is “in another meeting” and would call “first thing in the morning”. The morning comes and again we hear NOTHING. This goes on for days.
Finally April 1 comes and they tell us the dress has shipped. By this point we have gone online and read numerous reviews where brides have had the same problems I am having and then they tell them the dress has shipped but two weeks later tell the bride it had something wrong and needed to be shipped back and they are not allowed to even see this. For fear of this we request a shipping number to confirm shipment. They say that they can’t do that for “security concerns,” but “not to worry!”. I didn’t end up getting my dress until the end of April after sending my sister to the store to sit and demand to meet with a manager. I got my dress with 6 weeks to go before my wedding.
I ended up having to order a veil from David’s Bridal (not seen in person and hoping the color matched my dress). On this front I lucked out and my seamstress added some sparkle and it was a perfect match.
When I got to the store there were no apologies and they even tried to sell me a veil. I was like, there’s six weeks left until my wedding. Are you honestly telling me you could get it in time? It took nine months to get my dress. “Well you could pay rush shipping” Fat chance.
Save yourself the headache. I am not the only one with this experience, it is numerous. I am fairly confident they are running a crap business and used my money to pay for someone else’s dress and then had to wait to use someone else’s money to order my dress which is why it arrived so late. I have never posted such a negative review but I feel like people deserve to know and don’t want anyone else to go through what I did.
I visited Posh last weekend and it was the second place I tried on wedding dresses. I could not have had a better experience. From the second I stepped through the door I truly felt so pampered. I was honored to have Barb Anderson as my bridal consultant! She was so personable, sweet, and AMAZING at her job! I ended up purchasing the first dress she had pulled for me to try on! Every staff member there was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding dress! I am still on cloud 9 after finding my dream dress and forever thankful for the best experience I had at Posh Bridal Couture!
I would not recommend Posh to anyone. After I purchased my dress I experienced a series of dishonest communications and a late delivery of my dress. They were not apologetic for their missteps.
I had the BEST experience buying my wedding dress at Posh. From the moment I walked in the door when I was just starting to look for my dress they treated my whole group and I amazingly well! When I said yes to my dress they poured champagne for us and we had so much fun!
However, the true testament to their customer service occurred when it came time to pick up my dress. I live hundreds of miles from Posh and the team worked so hard to find me a Saturday appointment that worked for me, even when I had to cancel once to weather. The manager, Barb, made an appointment for me after hours on a Saturday so I could pick up my dress while I was in the Twin Cities. I expected this to be a quick appointment and that I would feel a little rushed. Not the case at all. Barb was SO MUCH FUN! She hung out with me and one of my bridesmaids for 45 minutes while I played around in my dress and tried on countless accessories. Posh is the best, I highly recommend you buy your wedding dress from them. You will have the best time!
So helpful! Sam was amazing! :)
If you are even considering going dress shopping here- just DON'T. The shop itself is beautiful and the shopping experience was fun and full of champagne. However, things went steadily downhill after that initial experience.
When ordering my dress in May, I was told it would be in around 4-6 months later so likely sometime in November at the latest. November came and went. I had to reach out to Posh and ask them about my dress. They told me with the holidays and ordering custom measurements that my dress should arrive right around the new year. I patiently waited. Fast forward to January, I AGAIN had to contact to them and was told it would probably be a few more weeks. Everyone I spoke to was unable to give me an answer on when it was supposed to ship. I asked if they would be given a tracking number, and the girl I spoke to (Danielle) said they aren't given those. They aren't given tracking numbers on your WEDDING DRESS?! Every time I spoke to someone at Posh about where my dress was, no one sounded like they knew what they were talking about and honestly sounded like they were making things up. Even worse, the staff (especially their manager) was borderline rude when I called concerned about where my dress was. I paid for my dress in full and it seemed like they couldn't care less once I placed the order.
So here's where things really get bad. My dress FINALLY is "at FedEx" almost 9 months after I ordered it. I tell them to call once it comes in. This was on a Friday. The weekend comes and goes and I hear nothing. When Monday afternoon rolls around, I call to check the status and they tell me THE DRESS WAS SENT BACK TO THE DESIGNER! They couldn't explain why that happened but said that it had probably been delivered when no one was there. I asked when it would be coming back, and they said probably tomorrow BUT THEY WOULD BE CLOSED. A few days later their owner was finally able to "get it overnighted", and I picked it up just yesterday. When I picked it up, the dress wasn't even steamed, and I wasn't offered any type of compensation/discounts/etc for the months of back and forth and delayed timelines despite being told they would make it right.
I can only say that I'm happy to have picked up my dress (just 6 weeks before my wedding) and will NEVER do business there again or recommend it to anyone that I know.
Again, just save yourself the time, money, and trouble and go somewhere where you will be treated better. I was understanding throughout this process that delays beyond their control do happen, but the way posh handled it was unacceptable. I should not have had to reach out to THEM after every missed deadline. Their staff either didn't seem like they knew what they were talking about or were beating around the bush and avoiding the truth. With so much going on with an upcoming wedding, the added stress over your dress is the last thing that anyone needs. There are so many other options out there! Seriously, do not go here.
I was referred to Posh by a friend and I'm very happy with my experience. They were extremely helpful and made me feel like a valued customer. They took the time to understand my needs and wants and ultimately was able to find my wedding dress during my first appointment!
Overall -- Awesome customer service and great dress selection.
I only give this place 1 star because when I went to my first appointment I had the best time. The staff was great and helpful and I found my dress after only 4 dresses! After finding my dress then the nightmare began...I was told my dress would be in around June ( I ordered my dress in December 2017 with my wedding in October 2018), I called and kept getting to answer. When I finally got through to someone they told me they would call me back since it was busy. Never heard back. When I finally called back they told me July, than August than end of August. They could never give me a specific date or why it was taking so long. As soon as August came around, I called and they finally told me the beginning of September. I asked for details and shipping on where my dress was but they couldn't give that information to me. Finally they said there were getting my dress on September 14th (6 weeks before my wedding). On the 14th I got a call saying it wasn't coming in until Monday because it got rerouted from California to New York because of the Hurricane. I had enough to worry about with my wedding and this company made my life hell!!!!! I finally for my dress on that Monday but it was HELL trying to get. I couldn't get my dress out of that hellish of a business quicker!
Oh and to make things worse, I saw on their instagram a few days later that a girl who is getting married in January got her dress. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY!?
I had a great experience at Posh. I went with family on a Friday morning in November and we were one of two people there. It was the first place I had been and the first dresses I have tried on. They were immediately welcoming, got us in our area filled with mimosas right away. Alex was my consultant and she was amazing. We talked for about 15 minutes about what I was looking for, what our wedding day was going to be like and how I wanted to feel day of. Right off the bat she captured it perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
If you start off having a good experience with Posh, let's just say that you'll likely leave with a horrible taste in your mouth. I've heard so many horror stories of dresses being ruined in alterations and Posh refusing to give a refund, of dresses coming many months late without communication, about the horrible treatment and expectations of their staff...the list goes on and on.
Don't waste your time here. I got my dress over two years ago and I still think about how horrible my experience was at Posh. I mean truly, it is almost hilarious how bad the service was. I came in telling the consultant that the ONLY thing I didn't want was a strapless and fitted dress. And what was the first thing she pulled for me? A strapless mermaid gown...and likely because it was one of their most expensive gowns. The next gown I put on was this gown that was the opposite of my personality. I wasn't upset about my stylist pulling this, but I wanted to be honest about what I wasn't liking. I came out and told her my thoughts and she straight up SNAPPED. She said "are you thinking about a dress at another store or something?!"...and I responded honestly "um, there was another dress I liked, but I am feel very open to finding something I love somewhere else". All she said was "well it sure seems like you are". My whole group just kind of laughed it off because it was so outrageous. Needless to say, we left knowing we wouldn't buy my dress there even if I did find one I loved. I got my dress from A&BE, and oh my goodness, they were a dream! They truly listened and were not pushy to the slightest. Their priority was truly to find me a dress I was crazy about, even if that meant me getting one from a different shop.
Posh was my first wedding dress shop - and ended up being my last. I tried on my dress and knew almost instantly that it was mine. Alex was my bridal consultant and she was wonderful. Knowledgeable, kind, and really listened to what I wanted. The space itself was so beautiful and welcoming. It was simply the most perfect day.
I had the best experience at Posh Bridal. My consultant, Liz was absolutely amazing and helped me find my dream dress. I highly recommend going this place.
Working in the wedding industry has made me realize that going above and beyond goes a long way. My initial experience with Posh was positive. The sales consultants were very helpful and not pushy in any way. Unfortunately, my experience with Posh since then hasn't been ideal. It has been 10 months since I ordered my dress (about 2-4 months longer than what it should take based on conversations I have had with other bridal stores). My dress supposedly arrived a couple of weeks back, but the zipper was reportedly broken, so they decided to send it back to the designer to make an entirely new dress from scratch. Since then, the date of arrival has been pushed back week after week with no legitimate explanation. I am extremely bummed with my experience at Posh and hope that this was just a fluke, but based on other reviews it sounds like it happens more often than it should.
I had a horrible experience with Posh. My first impression of the store and staff was wonderful. They were kind, easy to talk to, and their store is beautiful. I bought my dress their in November and they told me it would be in by May and at the latest June. Well it didn’t come until August and I was getting married at the beginning of September. I’m a very petite person and I knew I would need a lot of alterations so I was pretty nervous about the timing.
Not only did my dress come late, but I was the one who had to call the store many many times to see what was going on and no one had answers. They never once called me to give me a heads up that it was late. They told me that it’s up to the designer when they send the dress and that a month is enough time for fitting. I ended up buying a different dress because I was getting too anxious about this dress. And their contract states they are not responsible for anything after you buy the dress. this is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! You pay for the dress and they wipe their hands of it. So come to find out - this is a VERY common experience at this place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS STORE!!! They shouldn’t be in business
Posh was amazing - they picked out the perfect dress for me with very little info (I bought the first one they put me in) and made the whole experience fantastic - from shopping to fitting!
Posh Bridal Couture was the only bridal shop I needed to visit in order to find THE wedding dress! The shop was beautiful, staff were friendly, and the dresses were gorgeous.
Posh was the one and only shop I went to. Barb was my consultant & she is a hoot! I just loved her! She made the whole day less stressful! Posh is so clean and quiet- cant forget the complimentary champagne! I would recommend them 100x! Thanks again Barb, you rock!
Super helpful and friendly and not pressuring!!
