We used Kris and Positive Energy Productions for our outdoor lighting at our October 3rd wedding and reception.

eating an amazing environment for our event.
I highly recommend Kris' services for anyone looking for exception event lighting.
We interviewed several DJs and chose Kris of Positive DJs due to his experience, his skill and the fact that he mixes his own music between songs which he talked about during our c...
onsultation, and because of his Photobooth option which is more customizable than others we saw and he was able to negotiate a great package for both services. We were initially a little nervous beforehand as, unlike photographers and other wedding vendors we could not see the work beforehand and had to trust his experience and reviews but we were so glad we went with him! Kris was professional, experienced, and very smooth in transitioning the wedding guests from the different events (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, etc.) We trusted him to come up with a great albeit unconventional way to get people on the dance floor and it worked. My husband noted that he didn't see any person have to go up and request a song, he kept the music pumping out and kept us on our feet until the bitter end! I sent him pictures of the invitations/thank you cards we used and he was able to use the custom colors and designs for the photobooth strips. One of our guests said it was the best photobooth they had ever experienced, and we have the book with all the strips to enjoy as we used it for our guestbook. Kris is talented and experienced, knowledgeable, and clearly has a passion for his work and I would encourage others to trust his experience with their own events!
Kris did a fantastic job with lighting and song choices during our wedding. We chose the songs for our ceremony, but left most of the dinner and dance music for him to choose and h...
e did great! The monogram lighting was a great touch to our reception as well!
Kris was the perfect DJ for our wedding! He made sure that everything ran smoothly so that our guests didn't miss a thing. The dance floor was never empty. He also did the Gobo for...
our dance floor and the lighting, and they all turned out beautifully! I highly recommend Kris.
The first vendor we hired was the DJ. Positive Energy was recommended by our wedding coordinator. We had few requests of the DJ beyond please do whatever you can to keep the dance...
floor full and we don't want slow songs until the end of the evening. Kris did just that. From the first song after the father / daughter dance until the last song of the night we had a full dance floor. Positive Energy has you fill out a list of must have, nice to have and extra songs prior to your event. All of our must have songs weren't played but we didn't even notice until after our wedding when we were thinking through the details because Kris kept the dance floor full. We also hired Positive Energy to provide the up lighting and the photo booth. I would recommend Positive Energy (and esp Kris) for any wedding.
Being out-of-towners having a wedding in San Diego, Kris made everything seemless and was very responsive to our questions and requests. He provided music during dinner and MC'd t...
he reception. Kris had the excellent idea of projecting our names on to the dance floor (which several of the wedding guests absolutely loved and we were really pleased with, as well).
Our music selection requests were quite long and extensive and if yours are the same, I would definately encourage you to work very closely with him to prioritize/underline/highlight the songs which are most important. There were several songs that didn't get played that we would have liked that may have encouraged more of the older folks in attendance to get up and dance.
Overall, he was a great guy to work with and would definately recommend him to friends getting married in the San Diego area.
Kris was recommended by a friend and we were so happy with his work. He played all the music we hoped for, kept the mood light and played great music for everyone. He kept us on ...
schedule, working with the wedding coordinator to make sure everything was on track. I didn't have to worry about a thing! It really was the best thing I could ask for! A great DJ is crucial to an awesome wedding. A bad one can really put people off and ruin your night. Kris is amazing at what he does!!!!!
Kris did a wonderful job planning the music for our wedding. The dance floor was filled the entire night. He also provided the cake and room spot lighting, which really set the m...

DJ Kris (owner of Positive Energy Productions) was the DJ at our event. Due to a lag in planning my *now husband and I got our music into Kris 2 weeks before the wedding so he did ...
the best he could with selection.
Was great to work with during the event. He worked with me and my coordinator to keep us on schedule and keep our friends and family engaged. Very friendly and gave me a great deal on some last minute lighting additions.
HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommended.
My husband and I loved working with the owner of this company. We set-up our wedding and the contract with him, but he had an employee of his dj our wedding. Our personalities mesh...
ed well with the owner and not the actual dj. We found out after our wedding that our dj wasn't very friendly to a few guests, and gave our wedding music cd to a guest, rather then to us. The songs we picked were played and he stayed on schedule, I just wish it was dj'd by the man we dealt with initally.
He gave us a great deal since we had our wedding on a Sunday. He did a fantastic job with the lighting (uplights and gobo) and played a lot of music to get people up and dancing. ...
He was VERY good at keeping things running and to a timeline, but was also very flexible when things needed to be done a little bit later or out of order due to the mood in the room. Very pleased.
