Positively Charmed! Custom Ceremonies

Working with Leslie was an absolute dream! We booked Positively Charmed on recommendation from our venue (The Van Dusen Mansion) and they weren’t kidding when they said Leslie was the best of the best. We were only able to meet with her once via zoom due to living out of state and our timeline but she captured our story perfectly! She is very organized and makes sure everyone knows where they did to go, ensures dads don’t step on dresses, moves just in time for the big kiss picture. I can’t imagine booking anyone else. ❤️

Leslie was a joy to work with. She was organized in her process, kind and fun when meeting with us and was wonderful on wedding day in front of our friends and family. She had many, many helpful tips and tricks that made our day go smoothly. And that covered more than just the ceremony. We couldn't have been happier working with her and hope you choose her to be your officiant. I am confident you won't regret it.

Leslie was an excellent officiant, and helped us to create exactly the ceremony we wanted. She kept in mind the requests we had, she gave us very clear and concise instructions and allowed our ceremony to run flawlessly, Leslie also provides premarital counseling, which was AWESOME and gave us some great ideas for things to work on, and maintain as we ventured into marriage. She showed genuine care for our success as a couple, and was very honest and direct with her feedback. We still utilize a lot of the tools that she offered, and I can see us continuing to do so for the rest of our lives.

Leslie took a lot of the stress out of the wedding, when our photographer got Covid, she had it covered by a new one before we even knew the first photographer had to back out.

Leslie officiated for my daughter's wedding and was just lovely. Our extended family thought she was an old friend because of how personal the ceremony was. She led the rehearsal too and made it really sweet and fun while being very organized and thorough.

Leslie was a fantastic officiant at our wedding. She was very organized, thorough, listened well and answered all of our questions. She was our clear favorite of our vendors and was the most consistent in communication.

We feel so lucky to have had Leslie as our wedding officiant! Working with her was a joy. She had us complete a form with insightful questions, carefully reviewed it before our meeting, and then dove even deeper with more thoughtful inquiries during our meeting. Leslie was wonderful to work with. She officiated and provided decor for the ceremony. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and has a wonderful eye for detail. She helped make our ceremony special and took pressure off our big day. She also recommended vendors to work with, all who were outstanding. Cannot recommend more highly!

Leslie was assigned to us as our officiant, and we couldn't have been happier with how wonderful of a job she did. Leslie wrote our custom ceremony and officiated our wedding this past August. Leslie was wonderful to work with! I was surprised how personal she was able to make our ceremony after only meeting with my husband and I over Zoom a few times. She is an excellent listener and incorporated all of our opinions and ideas into the ceremony - it felt very personal to us! Leslie is also very easy to communicate with and did an excellent job leading the ceremony on our wedding day! I would definitely recommend her to others!

Leslie was amazing! She met with us on Zoom multiple times before our wedding and really got to know us. We felt the spiritual but not overtly religious ceremony she curated for us was exactly what we wanted! She also included multiple personal stories and quotes from our conversations into her speech. She also sent us her speech prior to our day so we could approve or suggest changes (we approved exactly as she suggested without changes). She also provided a library of quotes/ poems that we could choose to include or we could suggest our own readings. She held the book for us to read our vows from so we could hold hands which was perfect. Would 100% recommend, she will make your day so special. We also got many comments from our guests about how great the ceremony was and that was thanks to Leslie!

We absolutely loved working with Leslie on our wedding journey. She officiated our civil ceremony in summer in her new Positively Charmed studio space in S. Minneapolis, as well as our bigger wedding in November 2022. She was so sweet and thoughtful and brought alot of great experience and advice to consider during the wedding. The personalized ceremony (and her sample poems and readings) were fantastic and so heartfelt. Her decor selection and eye for design was very apparent. She is a pro and knows what to do in order to best help create a memorable day for a couple. For our bigger wedding, Leslie created a fantastic arch with our wedding colors/flowers, as well as wonderful table decor of succulents and greenery in terrariums and they were just perfect. The various candles she added on the tables made such a romantic touch! My husband and I highly recommend working with Leslie for your wedding needs. She knows what she is doing and brought a calming presence to our wedding party.

Leslie was fantastic!! I had very little ideas of what I wanted for my bouquet but she made it even better than I imagined especially for the fall season! Everyone that attended our wedding raved about her speaking at our ceremony, they said she was so calming and soothing and didn't rush it at all. She made everyone feel relaxed and happy to take in the moment.

WOW-- I seriously cannot say enough good things about Leslie! We hired Leslie as our officiant for our wedding day and it was absolutely one of the best decisions we made! Leslie met with us multiple times before the wedding to go over our readings and plans for the ceremony. We recently had a petite wedding at Bavaria Downs and were so fortunate to have Leslie Ann Johnson as our officiant. During our initial call, Leslie took the time to get to know us a couple as well as what was important to us for our wedding ceremony. She provided invaluable details about what to expect, which was instrumental in our preparation for the big day. Leslie was truly a savior for my wedding day. She put many of my worries to rest and was always just an email away. On the day of the wedding, she made sure things went smoothly. Without her I am positive I would not have felt as comfortable as I did and the day would not have gone so flawlessly.

We had a WONDERFUL experience with Leslie as our officiant for our big day. We appreciated Leslie's flexibility and understanding as we had to move our day 2x due to COVID restrictions. We met via Zoom prior to the wedding to go over what we wanted for the ceremony - vows, stories, etc. Leslie is super easy to talk to and captured many of our favorite things and stories. Leslie also acted as a coordinator the day of our wedding - pulling us aside in moments between pictures to do a quick little rehearsal or working with our harpist on music cues. Leslie is absolutely amazing. We started working with her about 6 weeks before our wedding date and she went above at beyond to personalize our small ceremony. Leslie officiated our backyard wedding recently and she was FANTASTIC! We met with her pre-COVID at her office, and she made us feel very welcome and open. She really took the time to learn all about us, our families, and our story (during the free consult, too!). We booked her immediately after our first meeting. A few months went by until we met again via Zoom, and she hadn't forgotten anything about us. She personalized our ceremony so well and really helped us think about unique things that come with a backyard wedding at your own home. We didn't do a rehearsal, but she made sure our entire wedding party understood their roles on the day of and made sure everything was in place and organized. She has a knack for what she does, and it is evident she truly loves her job. We would highly recommend her!!

Leslie did a fantastic job with our micro ceremony! Her site was informative and inviting, and she was a pleasure to work with. Not only was she very respectful and understanding of our wishes for safety during COVID and our personal preferences, she was extremely accommodating when we had an unexpected injury that required us to postpone our ceremony for a month. She even spent a holiday morning with us to work with our schedule! She does a great job of getting you know you as a couple so that your day feels very personal and catered to you. She also has great insight on aspects you might not have otherwise thought of. She is very welcoming and professional, and I would highly recommend her for your wedding, big or small!

Leslie took the time (and was genuinely interested) to learn our story, our important family relationships, our preferences about how the ceremony would unfold, and everything else an engaged couple might have concerns about going into their big day. In fact, if there was any specific piece we were overlooking, she made sure to ask our thoughts, and offer ideas for how to run the ceremony more smoothly and more thoughtfully for the guests, as well as our selves. Leslie was very approachable, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Leslie, in a short amount of time, understood what we wanted in the ceremony and delivered a very memorable experience. Due to covid, we couldn’t meet in person during planning, but, that did not hold her back from scheduling multiple long calls with us to understand all the micro-intricacies. Leslie is truly great at what she does. We planned a wedding in short order so we were only able to first meet with Leslie a week before our wedding day. Leslie has a way with people that will make you feel like you've been friends with her for years. On our wedding day before the ceremony, she went above and beyond to help everyone feel comfortable, calm, and organized. The ceremony was beautiful and we had many guests remark on how impressed they were with the proceedings, with much of that credit needing to go to Leslie and the amazing job that she does. If my husband and I were to do it over, we would absolutely use Leslie as our officiant again and would recommend her to anyone.

We absolutely adored Leslie. She was warm, charming, funny and acted like an old friend, even though we'd only met once before our wedding day. Our pre-wedding prep session not only allowed us get to know each other but also helped us complete and confirm some wedding plans - Leslie knows her stuff and was happy to provide advice and recommendations. Leslie is amazing! Hands down, my wedding was 10x more beautiful than I could’ve imagined. The decor was exactly what I was looking for, and the flowers exceeded my expectations! I would recommend her to anyone who wants a “Pinterest” style wedding (aka beautiful). Everything including Leslie was wonderful. I wouldn’t have changed anything. :)

Working with Leslie was one of the easiest decisions for our wedding. Our first appointment with her went really well and we felt comfortable with her right away. We were really impressed at our second appointment when she had our ceremony written, and it only needed a couple little tweaks. Leslie was incredible to work with at our rehearsal, and the actual ceremony went great! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was!

Not only does she hold a deep respect for numerous spiritual and philosophical beliefs- she also possesses a thorough understanding of each of their practices and intricacies, and an appreciation for the ways in which these beliefs are distinct, as well as how they intersect with one another. Our ceremony (which was entirely customized based upon the sincere lengths to which Leslie went in understanding mine and my husband’s character traits and personal beliefs, both as individuals and as a couple) was rich with unity, integrity, and celebratory love. In a consultation with Leslie, one will feel that she is a psychologist, a profound author, a theologian, and a very dear friend, all rolled into the same human being. My husband and I will forever cherish Leslie’s brilliant, integral role in our beloved wedding day.
