We had a lovely experience with Potawatomi Inn! The planning process was easy and they were very accommodating. Our guests loved the food and drinks and we had so much fun dancing the night away in the Lake James Ballroom. We were able to take photos on the sun deck and get some great sunset photos as well. There are countless areas on the grounds for stunning wedding photos. I can’t thank Emma and Cheyenne enough for seamless planning and preparation!

t to be. They were very patient in answering all of our questions while planning our special day. The Inn is a great place for families and children. Our guests enjoyed walking in the woods, time at the beach, and the other gathering spaces the inn has, such as the cozy room outside the inn's restaurant.

nner and we did not have to worry about table coverings, linens, dishes, etc. Everyone said the food was so good and served warm/hot! The grounds are beautiful and our guests enjoyed them while we took bridal party photos. The staff of the inn were great to work with and day-of they ensured everything was set up the way we wanted. We made some last minute table arrangement decisions and they accommodated us. I highly recommend the Potawatomi Inn for your wedding and/or reception needs!

The inn is beautiful on its own, but is enhanced through its surroundings -- a perfect state park with tons of amenities, including camping, cabins, a lake and boat rentals, trails...

, horses, and more. The team there made sure that we were prepared, in sync, and taken care of from our first visit to our big day.

sits on a hill overlooking Lake James, and the Park offers hiking trails, boat rentals, horse back riding, and just a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy. The wedding was August 1, 2020, and it turned out beautifully, much of that was due to the Inn staff. We were so pleased with the upbeat and positive attitudes of all of the people that we interacted with at the Potawatomi Inn. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They were in constant communication on every detail for several months, which was especially important as we navigated planning a wedding during a pandemic. Taylor in the Sales office was so organized, and she made sure we were on track with planning every step of the way. We had the rehearsal dinner in the Wigwam room at the Inn, which is a cozy historic room of brick with a fireplace. The dinner was excellent! The chef, Johnny, and the bar staff, Elizabeth, were a joy to be around for the whole family. The wedding ceremony was planned on the Sundeck, but it rained, so we just moved it to the Lake James room where the reception was planned, and it was all beautiful. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a wedding venue to consider the Potawatomi Inn as an option. Our guests stayed at the Inn, and once they arrived, they didn't need to drive anywhere else for the entire event. This was especially important for our out-of-state family members, and they were very grateful!

My daughter had rented back in June 2018 for the deck wedding which would be June 2019. When the contract signed my daughter later read and seen that Allison had put on that she wo...

uld need the deck from 3-7. My daughter then called Allison in August and told Allison that the wedding would start at 3 and we would be done by 5. Low and behold the day of the wedding nothing was right!!!! People were on the deck and was told they could be there by the front desk. So we never got the deck to ourselves until 200. Wedding started at 3 and we were done by 400 and cleaned up. We only got the deck for 2 hours. Very sad that employees and the guests that were on the deck were very disrespectful towards us. Make sure if you need to change times or anything that it is documented somewhere for your protection!!!
