Beautiful place for a wedding! Our son and daughter-in-law fell in love with Pokagon State Park and the Potawatomi Inn one Valentine's day, and wanted to be married there. The Inn ...sits on a hill overlooking Lake James, and the Park offers hiking trails, boat rentals, horse back riding, and just a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy. The wedding was August 1, 2020, and it turned out beautifully, much of that was due to the Inn staff. We were so pleased with the upbeat and positive attitudes of all of the people that we interacted with at the Potawatomi Inn. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They were in constant communication on every detail for several months, which was especially important as we navigated planning a wedding during a pandemic. Taylor in the Sales office was so organized, and she made sure we were on track with planning every step of the way. We had the rehearsal dinner in the Wigwam room at the Inn, which is a cozy historic room of brick with a fireplace. The dinner was excellent! The chef, Johnny, and the bar staff, Elizabeth, were a joy to be around for the whole family. The wedding ceremony was planned on the Sundeck, but it rained, so we just moved it to the Lake James room where the reception was planned, and it was all beautiful. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a wedding venue to consider the Potawatomi Inn as an option. Our guests stayed at the Inn, and once they arrived, they didn't need to drive anywhere else for the entire event. This was especially important for our out-of-state family members, and they were very grateful!
