She did engagement photos for us exactly 1 year out from our wedding date so she could know what the lighting would be like on our special day. Her customer service with us was also highly commendable. One of our engagement 8x10 prints got mixed up, and she immediately reprinted the correct photo AND included ~30 copies of the same photo in 3x5. For the day of, she did an absolutely phenomenal job capturing our happiest moments with our friends and family.

At our first meeting (even before signing a contract) Brenda provided a day-of schedule to help us work through how much coverage time we would need and things to think about - she listened intently and made many wonderful suggestions! I joked on our wedding day that Brenda was the “boss lady” but it’s so true! I’m so overwhelmed by all the precious moments she captured of our big day, but even more so with her professionalism and grace. Brenda had worked at our venue numerous times in the past so she knew exactly where to go for the best photos, had a great working relationship with the venue owners (bed and breakfast), and took the time to make sure everything was perfect. After the wedding Brenda quickly sent a handful of sneak peeks via email, and just two months later had our entire wedding album complete and a custom flash drive full of photos she took. I will forever be a Pottinger Photography customer!

y turn and I went straight to her booth and got to chatting with Brenda. I knew she was my first choice immediately, but being a partner and teammate I wanted my fiance on board as well. From the first meeting he was sold. Every time we met with Brenda it felt like we were catching up with an old friend. She made us feel special and helped us work through the chaos that is wedding planning. We were both a little nervous about our engagement session, but Brenda kept us laughing and we ended up enjoying every moment. We chatted for a bit at the end of our session and just before we were about to say goodbye, Brenda stopped us and snapped a few more pictures because of the sunset. The picture she caught ended up on our save the date and is a favorite among friends and family. Fast forward to our big day, we were blown away by Brenda once again. Her eye for lighting and color, her efficiency and time management all made our day just perfect. She was able to control every crazy moment and kept us moving so that we were always on time. She made sure we got everything we wanted that day. We are anxiously awaiting our pictures but we already know that we will love everyone of them. I am often very insecure about my appearance, but I have the prints from our engagement shoot hanging up all over our house because every single one is so beautiful. I'll be the first to admit that I don't post pictures of myself without filters or editing, and that it's warped how I view myself. But I knew I didn't want my wedding photos to be doctored. I wanted to capture my wedding day as it was: chubby arms and all. I think seeing my engagement photos every day has helped me appreciate my unedited face a little more. I look at Brenda's pictures and see my best self. Not the self I made up for Instagram, but my true self: laughing and beautiful, with a little bit of a double chin, holding hands with the love of my life. The pictures are all flattering, but still very authentic. For a quiet, reserved couple like my husband and I, Brenda was our advocate and our cheerleader. Finally, and most importantly, Brenda captured everything we could have asked for. Looking back on the photos is like stepping into a time machine and walking out at our wedding. er work is amazing but I also wanted someone who I would enjoy spending my entire wedding day with. My husband and I met with her a few days later and booked that day. Having an engagement shoot as part of our package was wonderful because we were able to feel comfortable in front of the camera. It rained the whole day of our engagement shoot but the pictures are beyond gorgeous! The day of the wedding Brenda came early and stayed late, she made sure we got every single shot that had been discussed! She was so patient through all the crying and all the additional ideas I had. The best part about Brenda is how great she is with children. We had one flower girl that was overwhelmed and nervous and every picture Brenda captured of her is beyond amazing, you would never even know she cried through most of it. We got our pictures back in about 6 weeks, which was crazy fast, and were blown away! She extremely artistically talented with all the aspects. Her work place is amazing as well for non-wedding photos. She was very thoughtful and made this an enjoyable planning process too, when all the wedding planning can be overwhelming. We couldn't have done it without Brenda. The photographs were certainly beautiful, and Brenda was professional and fun throughout the process, but she was also an amazing resource and her assistance extended far beyond beautiful pictures.

When you hire Brenda you aren't just getting a photography, you are getting a wedding planner, and a friend. She helped me plan the entire minute by minute timeline for the whole day, and helped keep everyone on track. She answered my (many) emails incredibly quickly. Even when I emailed at 10:00pm the night before our wedding! On top of everything else, Brenda takes beautiful pictures! Neither my husband nor I are particularly photogenic or enjoy being photographed. However, Brenda made us feel so at ease. You can really see how happy and peaceful we look in the photographs. I actually cried when I saw the preview pictures because it brought back all the wonderful memories and joy of that day. I cried too when, after getting married, honeymooning, packing up my entire life, and moving across the county all within two weeks, we arrived at our new place, and there was a beautiful gift waiting for me. Brenda had made a locket out of three of our wedding pictures and had sent it to our new place. It's little sentimental details like this that you won't get anywhere else.
