I can not recommend Brenda and her team enough! We absolutely loved having her as our photographer. I first learned of Pottinger Photography from attending the Cincinnati Wedding Expo and immediately fell in love with her bright colors in her photos (instead of completely muted/edited colors). She did engagement photos for us exactly 1 year out from our wedding date so she could know what the lighting would be like on our special day. Her customer service with us was also highly commendable. One of our engagement 8x10 prints got mixed up, and she immediately reprinted the correct photo AND included ~30 copies of the same photo in 3x5. For the day of, she did an absolutely phenomenal job capturing our happiest moments with our friends and family.

Brenda was recommended to us by another photographer, which is always a great sign! Throughout the whole process she was communicative, patient, and professional. Neither of us are very comfortable in front of the camera but her personality made it so easy to forget the pressure. She is a total pro who had her eye on the weather, sunset, family needs... all of it! During the wedding, Brenda caught EVERY detail, including things we would have never thought to ask about but are so glad to have recorded. Her patience and recovery when we had a location mix-up while getting ready was amazing and kept the stress way down. We are so lucky to have worked with her and will be coming back the next time we need beautiful, creative photos where you can feel the love we have for each other and the love Brenda has for her work.

She shot our engagement and save the date photo sessions and we had SO many great options to choose from, I’m confident our wedding photos will be the same!! At our first meeting (even before signing a contract) Brenda provided a day-of schedule to help us work through how much coverage time we would need and things to think about - she listened intently and made many wonderful suggestions! We were just blown away with our first meeting and quickly signed a contract. Brenda truly goes above and beyond to make sure her couples have the BEST experience. I joked on our wedding day that Brenda was the “boss lady” but it’s so true! She helped make sure everyone was where they needed to be, in the outfits they needed to be in and at the right time they needed to be there - she was so organized on the day of to ensure no moment or photo was missed! I met Brenda at a wedding show and knew right away she was perfect for me. I often joke that it was ‘love at first sight’ for a photographer!! I knew that I needed my husband to meet her so I could make sure the fit was right for him too, luckily it was. Brenda was incredible right from the beginning, she even gave some vendor recommendations that we did end up using. At our engagement shoot Brenda helped us with how to pose, which helped for our wedding day. Brenda and I also bonded over our love for Disney, which was perfect since our wedding was Disney themed. Brenda was with me throughout our wedding day and was so helpful not only with getting some amazing photos but with help on how to bustle my large princess train. I would give Brenda 10 stars if I could and I definitely look forward to working with her again!

I knew I felt an instant connection to Brenda when I met her a few years ago at bridalrama, but I never expected she’d become more like a friend than a vendor in our planning process. For starters, she is a fabulous person and is incredibly generous and thoughtful! Her talent is truly a bonus! I’m so overwhelmed by all the precious moments she captured of our big day, but even more so with her professionalism and grace. Brenda held my hand and guided me through tough wedding changes due to Covid and constantly assured me it would be perfect. She went far beyond her contract duties to support me. She also took genuine interest in getting to know our family and friends. So many told us how much they enjoyed her! Even under a tighter than expected timeframe on the day of, she kept me calm and feeling good (no easy feat)! I remember thinking I wish I had asked for certain pictures of the venue in our meetings, but I totally forgot. When I got our pictures back I wasn’t surprised to see she captured all the big and little details! Lastly, as someone who’s never loved being photographed, I actually enjoyed working with her! We had so much fun and I never felt more beautiful! We are so thankful we chose her and we know you will be too. Long story not so short, if you need a photographer for any event, we give her our highest recommendation! 💕

With the dynamic changes around COVID and needing to make date changes, Brenda has been outstanding with working with us and being flexible during all the crazy changes. I can not recommend Brenda enough!! Brenda was by far my favorite vendor at our wedding. Before our wedding we met on two occasions to go over all our wedding details. From an in depth timeline of when and where photos would be taken, to what pictures we wanted (group, individual, family, ladies only, men only, etc), and who to contact if she had any questions the day of so she wouldn't need to ask me. Brenda had worked at our venue numerous times in the past so she knew exactly where to go for the best photos, had a great working relationship with the venue owners (bed and breakfast), and took the time to make sure everything was perfect. After the wedding Brenda quickly sent a handful of sneak peeks via email, and just two months later had our entire wedding album complete and a custom flash drive full of photos she took. I will forever be a Pottinger Photography customer!

Being the bridesmaid in many weddings before my own I went to my fair share of bridal shows over the years and one vendor always stood out, Pottinger Photography. Finally it was my turn and I went straight to her booth and got to chatting with Brenda. I knew she was my first choice immediately, but being a partner and teammate I wanted my fiance on board as well. From the first meeting he was sold. Every time we met with Brenda it felt like we were catching up with an old friend. She made us feel special and helped us work through the chaos that is wedding planning. We were both a little nervous about our engagement session, but Brenda kept us laughing and we ended up enjoying every moment. We chatted for a bit at the end of our session and just before we were about to say goodbye, Brenda stopped us and snapped a few more pictures because of the sunset. The picture she caught ended up on our save the date and is a favorite among friends and family. Fast forward to our big day, we were blown away by Brenda once again. Her eye for lighting and color, her efficiency and time management all made our day just perfect. She was able to control every crazy moment and kept us moving so that we were always on time. She made sure we got everything we wanted that day. We are anxiously awaiting our pictures but we already know that we will love everyone of them. We would recommend Brenda to anyone and everyone, and we hope to work with her many times again in the future.

Brenda was an absolute delight to work with and I can't recommend her highly enough! My husband and I are both as introverted and type-b as they come, so we wanted someone high-energy, self-motivated, and extroverted to make sure things got done. Brenda was the perfect complement to our laid back style: she brought a lot of much needed vivacity and direction to our wedding day. She kept everything running smoothly and had everyone laughing while she did it. I also found her to be very considerate and sensitive. I get stressed out easily, especially when I have to be the center of attention. She made time to check in and make sure I wasn't getting too overwhelmed. She also did a great job of deflecting attention away from me when I wanted some space, which I am so grateful for. Brenda was like a photographer, an extra bridesmaid, and a bodyguard all rolled into one. I don't think I can do justice to her photography with words, but I'll try. I am often very insecure about my appearance, but I have the prints from our engagement shoot hanging up all over our house because every single one is so beautiful. I'll be the first to admit that I don't post pictures of myself without filters or editing, and that it's warped how I view myself. But I knew I didn't want my wedding photos to be doctored. I wanted to capture my wedding day as it was: chubby arms and all. I think seeing my engagement photos every day has helped me appreciate my unedited face a little more. I look at Brenda's pictures and see my best self. Not the self I made up for Instagram, but my true self: laughing and beautiful, with a little bit of a double chin, holding hands with the love of my life. The pictures are all flattering, but still very authentic. For a quiet, reserved couple like my husband and I, Brenda was our advocate and our cheerleader. I think a more outgoing couple would find in her a kindred spirit. Either way, in the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, it's nice to know that someone like Brenda has your back.

Brenda was probably the best decision we made in our entire planning process. We were originally going to skip a photographer and have just our families pictures(our wedding was very small). We met Brenda at a show and suddenly needed her to be part of our adventure. She has been far beyond incredible during our journey! When we signed our contract with our church and reception venue, we were a little overwhelmed with the rules that had to be followed regarding photographers, videographers, and guests. Brenda was amazing! From start to finish, she was there every step of the way! I met Brenda at a bridal show and was instantly drawn to her personality and quirky sense of humor. Her work is amazing but I also wanted someone who I would enjoy spending my entire wedding day with. My husband and I met with her a few days later and booked that day. Having an engagement shoot as part of our package was wonderful because we were able to feel comfortable in front of the camera. It rained the whole day of our engagement shoot but the pictures are beyond gorgeous! The day of the wedding Brenda came early and stayed late, she made sure we got every single shot that had been discussed! She was so patient through all the crying and all the additional ideas I had. The best part about Brenda is how great she is with children. We had one flower girl that was overwhelmed and nervous and every picture Brenda captured of her is beyond amazing, you would never even know she cried through most of it. Pottinger photography is the best! Brenda is extremely talented and takes the time to understand what couples really are looking for. With her work history, she is also extremely knowledgable about weddings which really benefited us to avoid logistical errors and extra stress. We didnt realize how helpful this was until later in planning. When we sat down to meet with her we felt like she got to know us and incorporate our personality into amazing photos. I'm pickier than my fiance, and searched several photographers before choosing her. Her use of lighting, scenery/backgrounds, and placement of things is very very good. She extremely artistically talented with all the aspects. Her work place is amazing as well for non-wedding photos. I saw Brenda's setup at a bridal convention and I knew she was going to be my wedding photographer. She had this gorgeous wooden heart with these vintage style postcard looking photos clothesline clipped to twine, which was perfect for my farm wedding. I took her info and met with her a couple weeks later. From the first meeting she made me feel like a good friend. She taught us a lot at our engagement session and the photos turned out more beautiful than I had imagined. At the wedding, she kept everything going smooth and all I had to do was enjoy the day! We met Brenda when taking our engagement pictures and knew from that day she had to be the one to shoot our wedding! I absolutely recommend Brenda whole-heartedly! At our first meeting, she took the time to get to know us as a couple. And she didn't let my groom sit back and zone out, she included him in everything and made sure he had input as well. She met us for a quick save-the-date shoot in freezing temperatures so we could get them mailed out in time and still did a full engagement session when the weather was nicer. Her ideas are amazing, and unlike any other photo albums I've seen of my friends. I picked for our engagement session to be with a rowboat and she was balancing in a paddleboat to get the perfect shot! On our wedding day it was like having a friend with us. She was super organized and stayed right with the timeline. She even got my super-shy flower girl smiling! I thought it would be hard to choose a photographer, but Brenda's creative style and personality meshed so well with ours it ended up being an easy decision.

Brenda was amazing. I am an artist so quality is very important to me. We not only received top notch photos that looked like they could be in a magazine (her eye for color is inspirational), but she also captured subtle moments I will forever treasure. I would have been happy with that alone but her personality is so genuine and easy it was truly joy to be around her. She was like a trusted friend who really cared about getting you the most perfect memories while also having a calming presence that only made the day better. We hired Brenda for our wedding photography what we got was so much more. Our wedding is at Newport Aquarium. I first saw her name on a pamphlet the aquarium gave me and then met her at a bridal show hosted there. My Groom and I are not always the most photogenic people and we wanted someone who could work with us and the lighting and the amount of glass at the aquarium which seemed tricky to us so we needed someone who was experienced with the venue. Brenda has, in this year process gone so far and above anything I would ever imagine. She has just wow'd us on being so detail orientated. We did 3 photo sessions leading up to our big day. an engagement session, a birthday shoot and a bridal session. She's like a best friend, a wedding planner, and a professional all in one person. During a makeup session we were even asked how long we've been friends. We feel like we've know Brenda and her warm heart our whole life. The photos I have so far are all going to be cherished for a lifetime and I couldn't imagine having anyone else do our photography. We hired a photographer and left with a true friend.

Brenda did my daughters wedding and we were so impressed that we asked her to also do ours. She did amazing engagement pictures and really got to know us that way. Being a “senior” wedding we wanted something a. It different, and she really did a great job showing a gracious wedding . Brenda is ABSOLUTELY wonderful! Beautiful photographs were a must for us on our wedding day, and Brenda certainly had a tough day on her hands! The weather was rainy from start to finish, and our outdoor wedding became an indoor affair. Brenda never missed a beat, and was that helpful from start to finish. She provided recommendations on make-up, hair, her checklists were invaluable to my planning, and she was my go-t0 vendor throughout the affair. That being said, Brenda was so much more than just a photographer to us, but was rather a partner in the planning of our event. Our planning, from start to finish, was about three months. We couldn't have done it without Brenda. The photographs were certainly beautiful, and Brenda was professional and fun throughout the process, but she was also an amazing resource and her assistance extended far beyond beautiful pictures.

Brenda was amazing to work with! We first met her at the Newport Bridal show and we went to see her for a consultation and we knew we found our photographer instantly. Brenda is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, while also extremely professional. We had no idea what we wanted for any pictures, but she worked with us to thoroughly and quickly to pick the package that suited us. She has an amazing eye for what shots to take in the moment-we learned that quickly during our engagement session. During the wedding she arrived with her assistant ahead of schedule and didn't leave until we were sure every shot we wanted was taken. We had a few unforeseen changes in our schedule and Brenda was very accommodating and actually made use of the changes to get some fantastic shots. Did I mention she is extremely talented? Brenda edits all of her photos herself and she actually won an award for best album with our photos! We loved everything about working with Brenda and we will be recommending her to anyone we know who is getting married, and we cannot wait to use her services again!

I have to start by admitting that I was hesitant about going with Pottinger Photography at first, only because I wanted to go with a cheaper photographer. My then fiancé talked me into going with Pottinger Photography because he felt so comfortable with Brenda. Right away I knew we had made the right decision. Throughout the wedding planning process I quickly realized I had never planned a wedding before and had no idea what I was doing. Brenda, thankfully as been to lots of weddings, has planned her own, and was so incredibly helpful. I honestly could not have planned our wedding without her help. When you hire Brenda you aren't just getting a photography, you are getting a wedding planner, and a friend. She helped me plan the entire minute by minute timeline for the whole day, and helped keep everyone on track. She answered my (many) emails incredibly quickly. Even when I emailed at 10:00pm the night before our wedding! On top of everything else, Brenda takes beautiful pictures! Neither my husband nor I are particularly photogenic or enjoy being photographed. However, Brenda made us feel so at ease. You can really see how happy and peaceful we look in the photographs. I actually cried when I saw the preview pictures because it brought back all the wonderful memories and joy of that day. I cried too when, after getting married, honeymooning, packing up my entire life, and moving across the county all within two weeks, we arrived at our new place, and there was a beautiful gift waiting for me. Brenda had made a locket out of three of our wedding pictures and had sent it to our new place. It's little sentimental details like this that you won't get anywhere else. It If I could do anything differently, I probably would have started with hiring Pottinger Photography. I can't express this enough, if you are on the fence about hiring Brenda, go for it. You won't regret it.

All we can say is: Wow! When we got our pictures, we were in absolute awe--we had a thoroughly rainy day on Sept. 1st thanks to Hurricane Irma, at Alms Park, no less, but you would never know it except for a couple of pics with the umbrella! Our pictures were beautiful! Brenda was so easy and fun to work with and was such a calming influence when we needed it most! She made our day that much more special. We loved it all--from engagement pics to the formal ones at the wedding! Thank you, Brenda!

If there were 10 stars that is what I would give! Brenda is AMAZING! From the initial meeting to my wedding day and everything in between. She goes above and beyond to make sure she understands what you want. She is honest, super easy to work with and constantly communicates with you throughout the process. And her photos....did I already say AMAZING! If you are just starting the process, you will find that finding a photographer can be a bit overwhelming. So stop the search and choose Brenda/Pottinger Photography...you WILL NOT regret it!

We LOVE Brenda! You will not find a better photographer than her and her team, the photos taken were absolutely breathtaking! She's not only a wonderful photographer but an all around wonderful person. Every so often I would receive a gift in the mail from her that were so sentimental and I will cherish forever. The price is well worth it and I guarantee you will not have the slightest regrets. She is easy to work with and will give you natural poses and take the pictures fun! My husband and I are beyond grateful for capturing our big day.

Brenda was amazing; her pictures are beautiful and she made my wedding day run so smoothly! I met Brenda at a bridal show and was drawn to her booth by her pictures, they are artistic while capturing beautiful portraits. She was a little outside our price range, but well worth the price! Brenda met with my fiance and I to complete an engagement photo shoot where she made us feel comfortable and taught us some of the poses we would be using on the wedding day. From a one hour session, Brenda produced more that 50 pictures for us to choose from. On the wedding day, Brenda turned into a wedding coordinator; Brenda kept us on time and made everyone feel very relaxed during the pre-ceremony stress. She was very professional and allowed grandparents to interrupt our time to take pictures at the venue. She made sure to get all of the pictures that anyone asked for. With the package we also received an additional hour to use the day after the wedding to get those fun, outdoor pictures. She is very fast too! We had a sample of our engagement pictures and pictures from the wedding within a week! I can not recommend Pottinger Photography enough! Her price is pretty average and her pictures are outstanding!!

WOW! We definitely hit the lottery when hiring Brenda and Pottinger Photography as part of our dream team of vendors for our daughter’s September wedding. From the selection process, to the planning, to the big day itself, Brenda played an integral role in making our daughter’s wedding day magical. And the finished product is simply stunning! We began our search for a wedding photographer using a list of preferred vendors from our reception venue. From that list, our daughter and her fiance and I each independently identified Brenda's work as classic and elegant, allowing her artistry to shine through her subjects - just the look we wanted. After identifying Brenda’s artistic style as consistent with the look we wanted to achieve, our confidence in Brenda only grew when we spoke on the phone for an initial screening. The experience working with Brenda was great. Brenda was a preferred vendor of our venue (Newport Aquarium), and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of her service. From our initial e-mail communication, to our engagement session, to the day of our wedding, things could not have gone any better. Brenda took a lot of time to explain the process with us and spent more time than we expected at both the engagement session and during our wedding evening to make sure that she got a lot of great poses and great photos. She was incredibly responsive to all of our requests and very flexible with her schedule. She replied to our e-mails and phone calls promptly and provided us with our photographs quickly. Brenda was incredibly professional and ensured that all of the photographs that we wanted were captured during the wedding. So many photographers these days are trying to be Instagram. Now don't get me wrong, I love me a good lens flare and circa-1970s lighting, but I wanted my wedding photos to be timeless. As I'm pretty sure the instagram look will be this generation's shoulder pads, it was of paramount importance that my wedding photos still creatively captured the essence of the day, but did so in a way that would be tasteful for generations to come. That said, Brenda was a perfect blend of creative perspective and elegance. Her ability to really frame the day was done with such delicacy and integrity -- all while being incredibly discreet. Seriously, when she was taking her candids, I honestly had no idea. I would highly recommend Brenda if you want artistic photos that stand on their own and capture the story of your big day.

Brenda was AMAZING. Not only are her pictures wonderful, she is an absolute delight to work with. At first glance, her prices are a bit high, but they are MORE than reasonable when you consider the product she gives you in return. As soon as I met with Brenda, I knew she was great - she is just herself and has fun doing her work, and it shows in the wonderful pictures she takes. I have gotten emails from about 15 of my family members saying that they have never seen such beautiful wedding photography. Brenda was also extremely flexible - I was living in Cleveland and my husband was living in Texas. As soon as we booked her in late October, we wondered if she could do our engagement session the day after Thanksgiving since it is the only time we would be in town before the wedding, and Brenda was more than happy to help us out and do whatever it took to accommodate us. Brenda also took the extra time to create save-the-dates for us using our engagement pictures. They turned out GREAT. The entire time, Brenda was herself and just fun at the wedding. The wedding pictures are STUNNING. I cannot say enough for her photography - do yourself a favor and make an appointment to meet her. Your pictures will turn out BEAUTIFUL!
