Powder Mill Barn is a historical wedding barn venue situated in Enfield, CT. Established in 1845, Powder Mill Barn was the horse barn of the Hazard Powder Company, which supplied gunpowder during the Civil War. Converted by Ralph Sweet for Square Dancing in 1959, the hall is now owned by his daughter, Polly. Along with magnificent wedding ceremonies, the venue hosts an array of scheduled activities on-site, welcoming visitors all year round. The barn comfortably accommodates 100 guests, and the 8-acre property alongside the Scantic River offers ample space for beautiful outdoor ceremonies and splendid photo opportunities. Couples can enjoy a wedding outside surrounded by grand oak trees or indoors under the illuminating fairy lights.

for our wedding and were amazed on how pretty and clean the barn and the property was. There were many of the what I call fairy lights dangling throughout the barn and a beautiful backdrop with the lights. We fell in love with the place and booked it right away. Throughout our wedding process she was always quick to respond to any questions. There is an arch on the property near the stream you can decorate for gorgeous ceremony and pictures.. If you want the mystical/barn theme please check this place out. It's amazing.

here, it was just access to the lot and barn, nothing included. We did all the work ourselves to clean, decorate, etc. but it was appropriate based on what I paid. The current prices look beyond affordable for all the work Polly has put into the place since our wedding. The location is beautiful and rustic. ted. We had our ceremony and reception inside of the barn although there is an area on the property where you are able to have an outside ceremony. There is plenty of parking and easy access for your dj/food vendor. We loved that the barn is conveniently located near the highway and hotels, as well as various restaurants which made the weekend much easier for our out of town guests. If you are looking for a rustic wedding, this facility was perfect for us and hope that you consider making your lifetime memories there as well!
