I just trusted on her Instagram pictures because there was so many stunning brides pictures. On my wedding day, she just NAILED IT! The makeup and hair style was gorgeous! They were absolutely flawless! I didn’t have to change anything. She is an amazing makeup and hair artist! Plus, she is so kind, sweet and even helped me to calm my anxiety. and that I wouldn’t get a one-on-one connection with an artist. Later after talking to a friend who highly recommended powerhouse beauty. I made the call for info and realized that there was a true artist on the other end. Diana is the owner and gem of powerhouse beauty and she can come with her talented crew if needed. I met her for a trial and was in love with the look. She transformed me into a Barbie. I signed a contract with her for myself, bridesmaids and mothers. In true bridesmaid fashion, we had girls go back and forth about if they wanted airbrush vs regular makeup or just makeup vs makeup and hair. And in true Bride fashion, I made changes too and was curious about adding a second artist for the sake of not waking up too early and also about her services for staying after the ceremony to do touch ups after I ugly cry at the alter. Diana was very professional and accommodating with each change and with all my questions. With just 1 week until my wedding, the universe shut down due to coronavirus and my wedding was suddenly cancelled. I was heartbroken to say the least but we decided that we did not want to reschedule our big day. We kept our original date but changed our plans completely to get married in our backyard and with only immediate family. But would she still come? Yes! She absolutely 100% made my day! Yes I was marrying the man of my dreams but I was also letting go of my dream wedding and thousands of dollars. I had to cancel a wedding and replan a backyard wedding in the midst of 1 week. I was emotional but determined to have a wonderful wedding day. Diana agreed to come to my house. I turned my guest room into a bridal suite. We put on love music. I had fruit and champagne and the best part... I had an amazing hair and makeup artist pamper me. She helped calm my nerves during the crazy morning. And when my family and bridesmaids started to drive me crazy we found a way to politely boot them out. With her there, I felt like a real bride. It honestly brings tears to my eyes the impact she made. And to top it off, my hair and makeup were absolutely flawless. Sometimes when it comes to vendors you have to spend a little bit more to get the whole package because not only did I get hair and makeup but I got the ability to be a bride even when it seemed impossible. Diana, you are amazing and I could not thank you enough for being there for me when the entire world was so scared to be. On our wedding day we had the pleasure of meeting Mairelys as well. They were punctual, professional and SO SWEET. We all instantly bonded and it was such a relaxing, enjoyable and memorable wedding day prepping experience. A small "wardrobe malfunction" with one of my bridesmaids and Diana jumped in without hesitation and a smile to help. best look with my particular dress. The makeup was also INCREDIBLE! I was stress free about hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids. When the day came, due to super windy weather I decided last minute to change the hair we agreed upon. I was a little nervous but Diana reassured me it would be fine. I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life, my hair was absolutely gorgeous and once again, my makeup looked flawless! (So did all my bridesmaids) I went through POURING RAIN and crying during my ceremony and my hair and makeup was perfect at the end of the night, after more than 10-11 hours. gine how scared I was to choose a makeup artist on my special day. I considered doing my own makeup for a while but I didn’t want to deal with the stress. Plus I wanted to make sure my girls to looked amazing too! I set up a trial with power house beauty for my engagement sesión. Picture this: 4 days before the shoot I accidentally got a 3rd degree farmers tan sun burn and as fate would have it, all my dresses were off- the- shoulder. THE HORROR! Fast forward to the day of the wedding, my aesthetician accidentally scratched my face you know as they do, the week of your wedding something always has to go wrong. I was freaking out and panicking cause of the scab in the front center of my cheek. Diana helped me calm down. Told me exactly what to do for the next few days before the wedding in order to cover it well and voila! My makeup came out flawless! You couldn’t even tell there was a scab on my skin! I was so impressed! All in all I can recommend Power House Beauty 100% She was always early in order to set up on time. She always finished on time (which is a lot to say for a makeup artist)! She was sweet and patient with me, never gave me even a tiny bit of attitude when I was having my bride-zilla panic attacks. This is the vendor of your dreams! Diana had sent me the timeline and was scheduled to arrive at my hotel at 4:30am. Diana arrived right on time with all of her things. I immediately felt a sense of calmness as she started on me first. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my makeup and hair and Diana got right to it. I felt so beautiful and owe it all to Diana. She not only made me feel beautiful the day of my wedding but my mother and sisters also felt so pretty and confident. t amazing and when I happened to mention at the end of the session that I had my engagement shoot the afternoon and needed to take the hair and make up off because I didn’t want anyone to see what I was going to do for my wedding day, she offered to switch it up a bit and in 5 minutes she had changed my look but still looked amazing! Then came the wedding day we started at 7:00AM because my photographer wanted us ready by 1-2pm and thankfully we started that early because we were ready right on time and stress free. She was very flexible we started at the hotel and then moved to the venue since the bridal suite did not open until 9:00AM. Again all my girls loved her as well as Mairelys who was there to help her since there were 7 of us for make up and hair. They both made us all feel comfortable and beautiful and they were a pleasure to be around! Diana then stayed until after the ceremony ended and had to retouch me a couple of times due to waterworks!!! She did it every time with such pleasure and sweetness everyone loved her! She came recommended by our photographer, who spoke very highly of her skill and professionalism, but I quickly learned there was much more to her. She listened carefully to my feedback, making sure that I was completely happy with how I looked. BUT, she didn't stop there. Diana came to our first look photos, reassuring me all the way and doing touch ups between shots. She stuck around through ALL of the bridal party photos. She used her sense of humor to help me stay relaxed, clearly tuned in to how I was feeling. There is no question in my mind about Diana's skill and professionalism. She knows what she's doing. She was easy to contact, was very reasonably priced, listened well, ultimately delivered on the big day, I looked amazing, blah blah blah. A lot of makeup artists can do that. But what sets her apart is on an entirely different level. She has this ease about her. A calm, focused, and--at the risk of sounding too kumbaya--peaceful demeanor that zaps nerves and puts even the most tense bride at ease (that was me). Somehow, she melted into the group of friends and family surrounding me and I didn't even blink. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to hire Power House Beauty for my wedding. I am so grateful for her skill, patience, and humor. If I could recommend her services by shouting from atop a mountain, I totally would. But for now, this will have to do.

I was then set up to have a consultation with Diana and I loved my hair and makeup so much that I ended up booking a package for my whole bridal party! Day of came around and the stylists showed up early to set up and all the services went smoothly except that my mother in law was a little crazy and the girls handled her so wonderfully. They spent extra time just to ensure everyone was completely satisfied before they left. As for the hair and makeup, I did airbrush and an up-do and Everything was perfect throughout the entire wedding! These girls really know what they are doing. Hurry and book them!!

However, after paying her for the makeup trial and proceeding to get a formal contract in place, she noted she only had one other staff and would have to start at 7am. Not only would I have to ask my bridal party to be at our get ready location by 7am but some would have their makeup/hair done for 9 hours before our ceremony. Needless to say, the whole ordeal left me feeling taken advantage of. If she didn’t have staff to accommodate a party of this size, she should have made it clear from the beginning. During wedding planning, time is very limited so it's unfortunate to have had your time wasted in such a manner. I ended up going with another vendor with a total of 4 staff and starting at a comfortable time of 9am.

I felt like Diana was nice at my trial but when it came to setting up all the details for my big day it was a nightmare and she was so unaccommodating and had the worst attitude that i did not book her. She refused to change any policy and said that every artist needed a minimum of at least 10 services which means if you have normal wedding time you need to start at 6am. (which most artists do a max of 6 services) She would not higher more artists to accommodate my large wedding party. I tried to work with her in various ways to get a later starting time but she refused and continually had an attitude. I was excited to work with her after my trial and liked my hair and makeup but wanted some tweaks, and then the attitude came. She ended up booking someone else the day of my wedding so needless to say it all worked out and I found an amazing glam squad who makes customer service and talent stand above the rest. Diana has good pricing but a lot to learn when it comes to customer service.

She called me two days in row prior to the wedding day to make sure everything was ok with me. She offered great beauty tips so that my skin was in top shape for the big day; that action made me feel so confident and cared for.
