However, I knew instantly from our call with John that we had made the right choice and I was no longer worried.  The ceremony music and announcements were flawless and they had everyone up and dancing for the entire reception. They really take into account your requests and guest requests for songs while also adding their own. I also truly appreciated that they waited to play the song I really wanted to hear until after I came back from taking pictures! 10/10 highly recommend

Leading up to our wedding, dj john was communicative and always available to talk through questions and plans. He was open to last minute changes that we had, from speech order to the venue not being able to have a fog machine inside. He and Guy were excited about our Halloween/Gothic theme and suggested the perfect music when we needed suggestions. We were open to a Halloween “set” and they didn’t make it tacky. He was very good at reading the room and the spread of age groups we had ready to party. John and Guy surprised us with video highlight reel of our reception that was so thoughtful and touching. We didn’t have a videographer so having a three minute video of our friends and family celebrating us was so special. Would recommend PPE to anyone looking to have a party that won’t quit.

Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything. At the end of the day, John kept everything going smoothly from the ceremony to the reception, he was a great emcee, played everything we wanted to hear, and most importantly he kept everyone dancing all night long. John does everything he can to ensure he can serve you how you want on your special day. I would highly recommend John, Guy, and Power Play Entertainment as a whole.

We had a live guitarist at our cocktail hour which was a wonderful addition! We truly appreciated them being so professional, especially as we had to pivot the ceremony at the last minute due to the rain. In addition, if you want to add your own songs you can do that in an online portal. It’s that easy. On the wedding day John made everything seamless and transition so well. John kept an eye out for everything and anything. There were several changes to our plan due to weather and other issues and John never blinked an eye and kept me calm through it. None of the guest ever realized changes were happening.

The uplighting and dance floor lighting were gorgeous and essential for the romantic and festive ambiance we wanted. The Photo Booth was a big hit! We are so glad we did the Photo Booth - our guests had so much fun with it and it gave us a lot more photos of our guests (as our photographers were mainly focused on taking photos of us.) John is also a fantastic emcee. One of our favorite moments was when John was kicking off the reception with the introduction of us as a newlywed couple. His delivery was perfect and made all of us feel so excited. I would 100% recommend Power Play Entertainment for any engaged couple.

r wedding, I hadn’t heard anything from anyone- aside from the automated emails they send about 180 days to do, 60 days to do, etc. I finally reached out and asked if we were supposed to contact someone or what?? So I received a quick reply from John, but our DJ had been changed to Rob. When I finally spoke to this new DJ, he assumed we had another DJ company cancel on us because it was so last minute….but we booked with them almost a year in advance. So I’m guessing it was some kind of communication error on their part. DJ Rob ended up doing okay, there wasn’t much ‘hyping’ of the crowd or anything like that. The online tool that you use to pick music is very convenient. It’s not that the music was bad or anything, it just wasn’t an out of this world experience. Maybe would’ve been different if our Dj wasn’t switched or whatever happened last minute.

m our (my) [Bride here LOL] wants, he understood exactly what I was pitching to him. As our big day was approaching, we had a call to finalize our details for music. He gave suggestions to music for specific moments throughout our special day that we weren’t 100% sure about and it was smooth sailing! I explained to John that we wanted people on the dance floor ALL-NIGHT-LONG and he fully executed! From mid-dinner to the end of night, there were people on the dance floor! His DJ services fulfilled all of our expectations! I had multiple people come up to me throughout the night, at the end of the night, days/weeks, and now upwards of a month+ later telling me how on point/amazing the DJ was. Now, for the photobooth; originally I questioned if it was really necessary to have a photobooth. (I honestly didn’t think it was going to be used much and was just going to take up space) Boy, was I wrong! The photobooth was a HUGE HIT! There were people at the photobooth the whole night! (It seemed as, if guests weren’t on the dancefloor, they were at the bar, or the photobooth) We received a copy of each photo taken at the photobooth via email within a week or so! John reached out about a week prior to the wedding in regards to getting a photo of our wedding invitation to have the designer craft up a nice background for the printed photos that each guest received throughout the night. The design matched PERFECTLY with our wedding invitation! If you made it this far, this is your sign to book John at Power Play Entertainment for DJ services as well as the photobooth! John was knowledgeable and patient with us with each crazy idea we threw at him. John's team also provided the lighting for our dance floor, and we were really impressed with the set up! Everyone was dancing all night. John’s team even took a few videos of our friends and family on the dance floor for us, which was a really nice touch and we loved watching them back the day after our wedding.
