We couldn’t be more pleased. Laurel made planning a rehearsal dinner from across the country a really wonderful experience. Then, the event itself was fantastic. The team sent to run the dinner was amazing-kind, generous, friendly and helpful. We were glad they were a part of our special evening. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. I can't thank Powerhouse enough- our guests are still asking us where the food came from! They were so easy to work with and accommodating of our many dietary restrictions- they were even able to customize our menu to add food from both my and my husband's cultures!

We had an amazing time working with Powerhouse for our wedding at The House of the Seven Gables in Salem, MA. Laurel answered a million and one questions, the food was wonderful, and so was the service. We got so many compliments about the drinks and dinner menu from all our guests and I would hire this team again in a heartbeat!!

Powerhouse helped make my wedding so very special! Everyone loved the food. I also had a couple of specific requests, including not cooking with canola or vegetable oil which they were able to accommodate. I highly recommend them!

Exceptional experience! Laurel was our day of coordinator and Powerhouse was our catering and bar staff for our wedding day. They were so helpful and were able to accommodate different dietary needs, and created an experience that was seamless on our big day!

Powerhouse catered my wedding and I can't recommend them enough! Heather and Laurel were great throughout the entire process. I received so many compliments on the food, table setting, waitstaff and bartenders from my guests. Powerhouse coordinated all of these and did a wonderful job. There were a few hiccups on dates/ time during the process but the powerhouse team quickly adapted and handled all issues in stride.

Heather, Laurel, and the powerhouse team were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the past year. Powerhouse handled so much of the wedding and did such a great job. Even things that are outside the scope of a normal caterer like helping us establish a timeline for the wedding since we had no idea what we were doing. I had to tweak my order a million times and even had some last minute allergy concerns pop up but it was handled easily. I’d recommend them to anyone, the food was amazing and it made our wedding day special. Everyone had so much fun and powerhouse had a lot to do with that.

We hired Powerhouse Catering for our wedding in June 2023 and I'd have to say that it went extremely well. We had a DIY venue and our original thought was food trucks, etc but found that to be too difficult so we liked the fact that Powerhouse did a lot - food, alcohol, bartenders, servers, dinerware, linens and then some. The communication was fantastic throughout, we were able to throw ideas at them and most of the time, they could accommodate (ie my wife loves ramen so we were going to do ramen shooters for a passed app but then vetoed it!). The day of the wedding went extremely smooth. Everyone loved the food, especially the marinated steak tips, and we felt ultimately the buffet route was good for us. Powerhouse is decently affordable compared to others you might see and I think the food, the staff, the set up and break down all was phenomenal. Couldn't recommend more!

Powerhouse Cafe & Catering is a must hire for your next event!! The food was so delicious. We hired the team for our rehearsal dinner and wedding and they knocked it out of the park both days. Their flexibility to make any type of meal and assist with other things throughout the events was so wonderful. Our rehearsal dinner was inspired by Swedish dishes and our wedding incorporated Italian and Swedish meatballs. It's a month after our wedding and guests still can't stop talking about the food! And that's pretty unheard of for weddings.

We were lucky enough to work with Powerhouse for a June 2023 wedding. Every interaction, from contact to day of, was professional and caring. The food was wonderful. One of our guests is the son of a butcher and said the steak tips are the best he ever had. People were tracking down servers for. Ore chorizo bites. The presentation was as pretty as the food was tasty. The staff was helpful and courteous. We will hire them in the future. I highly recommend using them!

We used Powerhouse catering for our vow renewals set in Salem, MA and not only were they able to deliver and set up food but also coordinate the food smoothly with us being across the country! The set up was smooth and the food was a hit with my guests and the staff was very nice. Laurel did a really good job with communication, adapted to our dietary needs, and was extremely organized and stayed within our budget. We also loved how this company is women owned and love their passion.

I cannot recommend Powerhouse enough! We were in touch with Laurel throughout our wedding planning and she was incredibly helpful, quick, and personal with responses. We planned a destination wedding up in Salem from our home in NJ. We booked Powerhouse without doing a tasting just because I was so confident with their options and because of how wonderful Laurel was to work with. When we were able to make it up to MA to do a tasting we found that the food did not disappoint! Everyone raved about the plated dinner and the autumnal harvest menu they created. One thing that I really appreciated about Powerhouse was their flexibility with menus. Most wedding caterers had a firm set menu and didn't offer customizations to dishes. When I asked Laurel if we could edit something, she said of course. They can even replicate family recipes and we had my husband's grandmother's recipe recreated for the soup course as a surprise. All of the staff on site for the wedding day were kind and professional. Aside from the food, Laurel was incredibly helpful with the planning process. We had productive phone calls where we reviewed rentals needed and she double checked lists before we sent them to vendors. Wedding planning can be stressful, but if you use Powerhouse you can be confident all of your catering will go smoothly and you'll have a delicious and memorable meal.

We hired this amazing caterer for our daughter’s 60 person wedding held in our backyard under a tent. I cannot say enough about the delicious food and efficient service we received from the every staff member The passed hours d’oeuvres were incredible and plentiful. They just kept coming! Our daughter married a gentleman from Spain so we had a few Spanish hors d’oeuves as well, all gorgeous and beautiful. They helped a lot with selections and amount recommendations and they were spot on. We had 3 dinner entrees to chose from, steak, haddock or stuffed portobello mushroom. All food was cooked to perfection arrived at every guest’s spot hot ! The 2 bartenders were super friendly and set up a nice bar display , very tastefully , so our guest knew the wine and drinks we had to offer. Staff was smiling and enjoying their work, super efficient with keep me on board with the time frame of everything. As it can be a hectic event even with only 60 guests. They supplied the dishes and glasses, napkins etc and all again were tasteful and in good condition. We all were so happy with them that I will use them again for sure.

Powerhouse catered our wedding and did an amazing job! Everyone raved about the food and they were extremely flexible with our ever changing budget and dietary needs. Laurel was so helpful as our event coordinator and did a great job making sure everything went smoothly before and during the wedding. She was able to ease so much of our stress and we were very impressed with all that she was able to help with. I would highly recommend this company to anyone having an event in the area and will be forever grateful for how special they made our day.

I can’t say enough about how great Powerhouse and Laurel were!! During the planning Laurel was super flexible and responsive as we figured out details and dealt with COVID changes. She even met with us at the venue a couple months before to give us advice about floor plan, etc, and to troubleshoot with the venue manager. We were super excited to have found a caterer that was so positive and accommodating AND that offered menus we were excited about! Then our big day rolled around and they just blew our expectations out of the water! They set up our tables, chairs, linens, and when we arrived from the ceremony everything looked amazing. Not only that, but that staff on hand were so helpful and positive. Whenever we needed something they were quick to respond and get us what we were looking for! The folks passing appetizers were so sweet, complementing the flowers and the venue space. The bartender was cracking jokes and making friends with everyone! I’m vegetarian and so are many of our guests. Sometimes the veggie option at weddings is less than amazing, and it was really important to us that we have great options for all our different dietary restrictions (including vegan and GF). Boy did Powerhouse deliver! The menu we crafted was super varied, but everything on it was delicious! We had so many people tell us they didn’t know vegetarian food could be so good, and another handful of people raving that this was the best wedding food they’d ever had! Start to finish, Powerhouse made our wedding reception exactly what we had hoped it would be! We are so grateful!!

I attended a wedding where Powerhouse was the caterer. They did such an excellent job with food quality and creativity, presentation and having excellent staff and overall great execution of the event, I was very impressed. So many guests were complimenting the catering I decided to get their info to use for my work catering. At that time I had been working in Events for a College in Charlestown when I first decided to use Powerhouse. They did such a great job all of my colleagues LOVED them, so many other departments asked for their info to use for their smaller meetings etc. We used Powerhouse for small lunch meetings, large reception style events and intimate sit down dinners. They excel in all areas! They are truly a well rounded, experienced caterer. When I left that job and went to a new school, I immediately made Powerhouse a preferred caterer so that I can continue to use them for all my events. They are a dedicated team and worked with me directly on all my needs for each event, they did a fantastic job helping me stay within my budget all the while not skimping on any aspect of our event. They really are dedicated to providing fantastic customer service and planning and executing beautiful events. It is truly a no brainer to use them over and over again for any and all events I have. I have even started using them for my own personal catering needs. They truly do it all and care just as much about your events as you do. I HIGHLY recommend this company!

Everything was perfect! Both my husband's and my families have pretty high expectations when it comes to food and Powerhouse definitely met them! Guests were even asking for take out boxes to bring leftovers home!! We couldn't be happier with the service Powerhouse provided, every detail was covered ahead of time so I spent my day drinking champagne and dancing! So much fun. Thanks Powerhouse!

From start to finish, Powerhouse made all of our wedding dreams come true. Laurel was prompt, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. She was the most amazing day of coordinator, too! With such a large wedding we we're worried about the timing of the meals/food getting cold but boy were we wrong!! Powerhouse provided a 4 course (pre ordered) plated dinner, 5 appetizer stations and full bar, all of which went above and beyond our expectations! The service is spectacular. They even provided the centerpieces for all of the food tables! My guests said it was the best wedding food they have every had. The bartenders made amazing drinks and people rarely had to wait. I am beyond happy with my experience, I wish I could get married again just for the dinner! If you are looking for a wedding caterer in the New England, this is it. You won’t regret it!!!!

Powerhouse catered our wedding, and they were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We worked together to figure out what we needed, and it all came together great! I'd recommend the apricot stuffed chicken and the brownies, especially!
