Powerhouse Funk Band brought a huge amount of positive energy, fabulous musicality and professionalism to our event. They met our budget, they were extremely flexible as far as adapting to our performance location and they got the whole crowd happy. We would absolutely work with them again!
Powerhouse Funk Band was amazing! They truly made our wedding! Incredible musicians, high energy, and so much fun. Many guests said it was the best wedding music ever. They don’t seem like a “wedding band” but are actually talented, professional musicians. They took our requests but also had many covers and originals. The singers were amazing! They handled all parts of our wedding well and I would highly reccomend them to anyone!!

Powerhouse Funk Band, based in Albany, NY, is an experienced wedding band serving soon-to-be newlyweds throughout the state. This talented team of musicians is known for its uncanny ability to read the crowd, ensuring the dance floor is packed and full of energy all night long.
Powerhouse Funk Band is on a mission to provide a soulful, energetic, passionate, entertaining, and professional experience for couples. This eight-member band, each with diverse experience in the industry, has been performing together since 2006. At the heart of their success is their individual and collective experience. These musicians pride themselves on their versatility and are proven masters of funk, soul, Motown, R&B, pop, rock, and much more. They have played up and down the east coast at weddings, corporate gigs, holiday parties, clubs, and festivals.
During an initial consultation with Powerhouse Funk Band, they'll get to know your style and vision for your big day and provide you with some possible setlists. Their most popular wedding package includes live music for a cocktail hour and reception, MC services, learning new songs, a sound and PA system, and travel expenses. They will also provide sample performances before the big day for fine-tuning your wedding music.

George is the drummer and band leader. He is a graduate of Grambling State and Alumnus of the World Famed Tiger Marching Band and Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity. George is also the Director of Bands and Department chair at Green Tech High. George is passionate about music, delivering a quality and professional services to clients.
