If zero stars was an option that is what Carina of Powers Beauty Artistry deserves. She collected deposits on my bridal hair and make up, collected cash for my trial, and billed some of the wedding party hair and makeup and then NEVER SHOWED. She didn't answer phone calls the day of my wedding, her assistants (who showed up two hours late but had no idea about my trial hairstyle and makeup) kept telling us Carina would show, even when they later admitted she would not and asked for more money! Our amazing wedding planner, Mandi Nack with A Sparkling Event, saved the day by calling in another artist last minute. The cost, an additional $500, was one we were happy to pay just to get to the alter on time. To this day, Carina has not responded to multiple attempts at outreach from our wedding planner. Powers Beauty Artistry cost us over $1500 and left a deep scar of memories of anxiety and stress on our wedding day that was completely unnecessary. Between our wedding planner, the friends that came to our aid to help with hair and makeup while her team was late and she ultimately never showed, and the additional cash we paid for an emergency alternate, the day was still a success. However, I would NEVER, absolutely ever, recommend this vendor. If you read her reviews, you'll see she has done this to other brides before. Don't be like me, read ALL the reviews first.
