Val & Ryan are awesome! They completely went above and beyond in everything regarding our wedding. If I am going to hold another party this would be my first choice. When I had to...
put in a request for an allergy meal they met me with ideas that worked out perfectly.
I was recently married at Prairie Bluff, and could not be happier with how everything went. We worked with Ryan throughout our whole planning process, and he was incredibly accommo...
dating and courteous. After having met with several other venues that seemed to only care about their profit, it was refreshing that Ryan was so customer service oriented (but not surprising, since this venue is owned by the Lockport Park District).
The food at this venue is absolutely delicious, and our guests had nothing but good things to say about their meals. The value for Prairie Bluff's different packages really can't be beat compared to other venues in the Chicagoland area (especially for open bar). Anytime we ran into anything that seemed to be missing, Ryan would immediately get it for us. The day of our wedding went incredibly smooth, and Ryan was there the whole time keeping things moving along efficiently. While this venue has held weddings in the past, it seems that they are trying to become more of a presence as a wedding venue (as opposed to just banquets), and I think they are well on their way.
Our experience with Prairie Bluff really was excellent, but I will say that I would have liked for them to reach out and check-in with us more often about scheduling meetings, finalizing numbers, etc. They were always responsive when I reached out, but with all the stress of wedding planning it could have been nice to have prescheduled check-ins (bride brain is a real thing). I consider that to be a very minor issue in the grand scheme of things, and still feel they earned 5 stars.
I'm a little delayed on this review as we had our wedding here this past October! It was overall a great experience from beginning to end. When we looked at a lot of other venues (...
and I did A LOT of research lol) they did not offer the same inclusives that Prairie Bluff did in their price. The Chivari Chairs and complimentary wedding cake sealed the deal for us! Our wedding day went smoothly without any hiccups from this vendor.
Prairie Bluff absolutely exceeded my expectations for my wedding. Kaitlin & staff made my reception room look beautiful and went above and beyond to make it a memorable night. The ...
entire planning process was so easy and every staff member was helpful. My guest raved about the beef entrée we selected and the ambiance and many have said it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We never thought we would be able to afford all of the amenities that this venue included in their packages. Our day was just perfection!
My wife and I were very happy with our reception venue. They have recently went through renocvations and build a lot of extra perks into our price that we would've probably had to ...
pay extra for if we went somewhere else. Day of was smooth thanks to the staff! All my guests still say what a good time they had!

ice because I was a nervous bride haha. We pretty much had an all inclusive wedding and they included Chiavari chairs with our wedding package and our cake! The day of everything went perfectly. THANK YOU AGAIN!
My fiancé and I were a little reluctant about doing a joint bridal shower, but I am sooo happy we did. We just didn't have the space at our house and we did not want to deal with t...
he setup, cleanup and cooking that we originally planned on doing. Having our event at a venue meant we were able to just relax and enjoy being showered with love (and gifts)!
My guests still come and tell me that the venue was perfect and the food was awesome! We had Brunch with a Mimosa and Bloody Mary Bar, as well as a full dessert display with assorted goodies. The price was also very affordable which is obviously important to every bride in the world. I would recommend them to anyone!
