e mostly-inclusive nature, the feeling of privacy, and the affordability compared to other venues in the city. All of these did not disappoint. We also LOVED the food; I had multiple guests tell me it was the best food they have had at a wedding. Rebecca and her team are professional and incredibly practiced at what they do, and on the day of the wedding everything was very smooth, even when we had to delay the outdoor ceremony due to rain and wind. The only hiccup we had during the planning process was not being able to confirm being able to use the space for a rehearsal; we were told it just depended on whether or not a wedding or event booked for the previous evening. We ended up doing a run through at another site so we could plan our rehearsal dinner, etc. Overall, we would definitely recommend Prairie Star for any wedding or large gathering!

were scheduled to have our rehearsal on Thursday the 15th during 4-5 pm. I asked Rebecca what would happen if we went over in time and she said we couldn't because there was another party having their rehersal at 5 that day but we could move ours to 6:30 if we were worried about going over. So we did. She emailed me the week before the rehearsal to ask us to move our rehearsal AGAIN because the 5 oclock party needed more time. I told her we couldn't because we had a rehearsal dinner planned after. We were expected to accommodate someone else's wedding rehearsal because Rebecca double booked the rehearsal times. When I stood my ground about not changing our time she acted like she was doing us a favor by getting her other party to stay in the time frame they had already been scheduled for. She was extremely rude and treated us like we were some second class citizens, even after we spent almost $20k at this establishment. It all around put a damper on our whole experience.

should have been going on, but once it stopped, the staff got our there and wiped down the chairs to begin the ceremony. The food was delicious and the bartenders did a great job. The entire staff even stayed 30 minutes late so that we could continue the reception a bit longer. ld our wedding ceremony outdoors, under the spreading tree that perfectly framed the unobstructed view of the Sandias. Our reception in the banquet area of the restaurant was perfect as well, with plenty of space for our band, dancing, dinner and mingling. The chef worked with us to create a perfect NM-styled buffet, and Rebecca, the special-event coordinator was incredibly easy to work with and made sure our evening went smoothly. reception inside. The room is a bit small but it works perfect if your having a smaller wedding like we did. The food is also really delicious! We had the steak/chicken buffet and everyone really enjoyed it! The only reason I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5 was because it did happen to rain during our wedding so we didnt quite have the backdrop of mountains we were hoping for. irst time bride, I was very nervous regarding how things are normally set up by a wedding party, timelines, decor suggestions and did not receive a lot of feedback from the director. The entire staff, director included, was very courteous and professional. The venue is divine!
