Prestige/Barkley was one of the preferred vendors of The Riverview gave us. My husband and I decided to book them for our wedding. I met with Patricia on multiple occasions to come up with a contract specific to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding. John did our engagement photos in June of 2021. He did AMAZING. He helped to pose us and make us feel comfortable every step of the way. On our wedding day (August 2022) John and Joe did our photography and far exceeded our expectations. The quality of the photos were incredible but they got shots we had no idea they were able to get! They were never in the way and whenever we needed them for photos, they were always easy to find. John and Joe from Prestige/Barkley are hands down the best wedding photographers.

Brian and I would just like to say thank you for the freaking amazing job you did at our wedding! We were blown away by your good nature, kindness and skills! We felt like you were our best friend when you left! You are truly amazing and we are so grateful for making the day so special. When the church was being rude and shut the lights off on us, you not only made it work, but took some extremely creative images. We are so proud of the work you did for us. Prestige Barkley did an amazing job capturing the tender moments of our July wedding! They manuevered around the guests without even being noticed, and were able to get close-ups of us and guests that enable us to relive all the moments of our special day! The weather was a little rainy and overcast, but John was able to use that to get the most amazing photos of the happiest day of our lives!!

John was amazing!! He was fast with all of the pre planned group and couple photos so we could get on to the reception. During the reception he captured all of the important moments along with some unexpected and quieter moments. We were very impressed with his ability to spot and be there for everything! He was excellent with his guidance and poses and had a lot of knowledge about how to get the best shot. We love our photos!!

We had the pleasure of working with John, who came highly recommended from a family friend and he exceeded our expectations. Leading up to our wedding our plans had to change a few time due to Covid-19 and he was very accommodating to our needs. Prestige Barkley was amazing. I hired them to do my wedding but unfortunately John wasn't able to do it in the end do to circumstances out of his control. Immediately Patricia worked with me and got one of John's close colleagues and friend to do my wedding and it was perfect. Prestige Barkley handled everything else from creating the perfect list of photos to be done at the wedding, to making recommendations and responding quickly to all my questions. In the midst of Covid, our wedding got postponed but we decided to still have a small ceremony. Prestige Barkley was so helpful and accommodating to all our needs and questions. They worked with us so we could have a photographer for few hours for our mini ceremony and will also be doing our reception in 2021!

Our experience with John was incredible. Him and staff were so professional and very considerate of our needs. We put him on such a tight time schedule and we were very concerned that we might not get the photos we wanted because of daylight Every shot was amazing. He is a master at his craft. Very thorough interview and description of the what we wanted and how the day would go. We had a semi destination wedding and John went above and beyond to travel out to our location to tour the area and get a lay of the land. John genuinely cared about what we wanted and how we wanted our day captured. The pictures were immaculate and beyond our wildest imagination. Never once did we feel stressed and his passion for his profession is unmatched. Well, to sum it up... I thought we hired a photographer, but apparently we hired a magician. Because these photos are MAGICAL! Oh, they are so beautiful. So many great candids, so many great group shots, action photos, scenery, everything. They truly make me re-live the day and melt my heart. We could not be happier with how they turned out. Our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding was captured so beautifully by the exceptional work of this group! They were so pleasant & easy to work with. These are highly professional & skilled Individuals, both technically & artistically. We had torrential rain that day and we still had stunning photos!! They were incredibly organized (despite the complicated logistics of the wedding) & so attentive to the details, and very responsive to the needs of the newlyweds (and our large families). John was just delightful & untiring in taking photos for many many hours and Patricia, as creative director, was invaluable in providing much-needed guidance and recommendations for the artistic elements as well as always being available as a resource for us. I just can’t say enough about them and would highly recommend them without any reservations.

Patricia and John were so easy to work with. We lived across the country planning our CT wedding, and they made it so easy. John was so personable, funny, and a joy to work with for us along with the bridal party. He made it fun and was efficient so we didn’t have to spend the whole time taking photos. It was a great experience.

John and Patricia make a great team. My husband and I were both not the most comfortable in front of the camera, but John helped to create some amazing photos. John and Patricia did such an amazing job! John will go to any length to get the perfect photo. He’s flexible, but if you aren’t super comfortable in front of the camera like my now-husband and I, he’s happy to direct you and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Our photos came out amazing! We got married at Waters Edge in Westbrook and we snuck away from the reception for a few minutes at sunset to do photos on the beach, and they ended up being our favorites! I never would have thought of that. We also had a guest who was getting in the way with his own camera a lot, and John handled it really well, he was very professional at every step.

Prestige Barkley was our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos over 3 years ago and they are still easily accessible for us and happy to help in any way. Working with John was wonderful. We spoke beforehand regarding what photos we were sure we wanted done no matter what and John and his team made that happen on the day of. His sense of humor was perfect throughout our special day, even in hectic moments. Patricia was wonderful to work with afterward on designing our wedding album. She was so organized and clear with what we had to do and gave wonderful suggestions. She was unbelievably patient with us despite how long we took to make final decisions and even helped my husband surprise me with our final version of our wedding album. I just read through all of the reviews and they all say the same thing - John and Patricia are the best! From the first meeting with John, through working out the details with Patricia, to the photographs - everything was wonderful. John clearly loves what he does and was so helpful in planning and getting all the pictures we wanted - and capturing all those candid moments that really make the day! We had a great experience with Prestige Barkley from start to finish! They were able to make a package that fit all my needs and answered all my emails in a timely fashion. After the wedding I receieved so many compliments about John and his partner. My guests were amazed at how they nevered stopped moving and they were everywhere that night and captured every moment. We asked John and Patricia to photograph our wedding after seeing the stunning work they did for my brother and his wife in 2016. John has a knack for making people at ease and Patricia is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable resource. We are in love with the album they just created for us. Where do we begin? Everything was BEYOND our expectations and both John and Patricia were the perfect blend of professional and friendly! Whenever we needed to reach out to them about something Patricia was always quick to respond. And John is a 12 on a 10-point scale of hardcore - driven, passionate about his work, but above all else completely dedicated to making our wedding night so much more than just a special moment in the books. Our ceremony and reception were in the late evening but that didn't stop John from taking absolutely GORGEOUS pictures, even in just outdoor moonlight. When it came to arranging us for various photos, we let him use his discretion most of the time and we had no problem following his lead, and he happily took our requests as well. We got our photos back and there wasn't a single photo we didn't absolutely love. When someone talks about an image being burned into their memory, these photos are the kind that will do that (can confirm)! Highly recommend them for anyone at any event!

I can't say enough about John and Patricia! During our first meeting John made us feel so comfortable and took the time to understand what we were looking for. He explained his process and right away I could tell we were working with a true professional! When we met John for our engagement photos it was amazing to see his artistic mind at work, getting both posed and cadid photos that were stunning! We knew we made the best choice for our wedding photographer. Then there's Patricia...the cherry on top! She made the planning process a breeze and thought of so many things I would have missed. She detailed the entire day so there would be no surprises. She truly takes all the stress out of such an important piece of the wedding. John and Patricia were amazing throughout this whole experience! I basically thought of them as my wedding planner. They were on top of everything and spoke to the other venders about what the plan was. Patricia was quick to respond and very helpful. John was so fun and a great addition to the wedding! He stayed later because we weren't done with everything that we wanted photographed which was awesome! The pictures came out great!! So many different ones that were beautiful and different! I have used Prestige Barkley for both personal and business photography needs. I was referred to John and Patricia over 30 years ago for my parent’s wedding anniversary. Many pictures from that party are still hanging on my wall and they bring back great memories. Most recently John (and Patricia) were my daughter’s wedding photographer. When I reached out to Patricia to see if they were available, I was very happy to learn they were. Their wedding venue was also happy we were using Prestige Barkley because they have worked with them at many other weddings. One week before the wedding, Patricia sets up either an in-person meeting or phone call to talk about your wedding day. She has a list of questions to review with you which includes your expectations, requested pictures and specific people to focus on. After years of experience, Patricia had suggestions for items we never thought about and we trusted she and John to make my daughter and her new husband’s special day perfect. We were not disappointed. The day of the wedding, John arrived at our home and made the morning fun. He left for the church before us so that the men in the bridal party would have photographs taken and was there waiting when we arrived at the church. John was with us the entire day and added to the fun of the day. We never felt like we were continually posing for pictures. He took a lot of action shots that when reviewing after the wedding brought a smile to our faces. John felt like part of our family unlike a lot of other photographers that are lacking in personality and make you feel awkward. He was always near my daughter and her new husband making sure he captured the most precious moments. The pictures are beautiful; we will have those memories forever. The first time we worked with John and Patricia was 20 years ago for our wedding, and we loved working with them so much that we used them again for the bar and bat- mitzvahs of our 3 children. My husband and I got married at Mystic Seaport's Latitude 41 in October, and we are thrilled we were able to work with Prestige Barkley as our wedding photographer. He also has a really great creative eye and gets a ton of shots that I would never have thought of. The best wedding photographer we could have asked for! John is amazing at what he does! He was very friendly and easy to get along with during our engagement session and at our wedding and has an eye for finding the perfect shot. He went above and beyond to ensure we got the pictures we wanted on our wedding day. Back in 1987 Prestige photographed my wedding and did a great job. They delivered a beautiful album to me and my husband which we treasured. They told me that they would always stand by their work. So years later when we found out the cover was disintegrating and the maker of the cover wasn't honoring their guarantee we contacted Prestige Barkley- and they not only stood by their word, they went above and beyond and fixed our album- it looks even better than before. It's nice to know there are businesses out there who stand by what they say, even years later.

We worked with John & Patricia for our engagement session, they work as a great team and really have an eye to create a beautiful picture. Patricia has been EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process leading up to our big day. Manny and Rod (with help from patricia) shot our wedding and we could NOT BE HAPPIER with our images! Both were so great and easy to work with and really captured our "in the moment" images we were looking for! Manny was a dream to work with as our main photographer for the day, very easy to work with and captred all those moments we hoped he would and them some. John is an amazing photographer. My family has used him for every single one of our special occasions and he never disappoints - in fact, the opposite - he always amazes us! I don't consider myself to be a photogenic person, but John is able to capture everyone so naturally and is super helpful with dictating poses if you are not good and knowing where to put your hand, where to look, etc. (which I am not). I highly recommend using Prestige Barkley for your next event.

Choosing Prestige Barkley was the easiest decision that my husband and I encountered for our wedding. Patricia and John are masters of their trade and have such amazing talent. Reviewing their website and after our meeting with Patricia I felt 100% confident that they would capture the exact feeling of the day we were hoping for. There are seemingly endless photographers in the area who adopt some of the trends, but lack some of the classic, timeless photographic tendencies that set Prestige Barkley into a league of their own. Patricia is so well-organized, which put me completely at ease. Our pre-wedding phone conference was so thorough and on the day of the wedding, we got every single picture we discussed, practically in the same order! John was so much fun on the day of the wedding and was able to keep me calm (i was so nervous i would be a mess in all of my photos!). The turnaround time was UNBELIEVABLE - less than 4 weeks!!! Our family and friends loved that they had access to the full gallery and many have plans to oder prints! My husband and I are having a difficult time choosing which ones we’ll get printed also, and hope to be able to get our full album for our 1 year anniversary. Thank you cannot even begin to encompass how grateful we are to have such amazing photos of our wedding day - we will absolutely be calling Prestige Barkley for every other life event, and will be referring any of our newly engaged friends and family as well!!

My husband and I knew right away we found our photographer the first time we met John. From our initial meeting to our wedding day, John (and Patricia) have been fabulous. We created a custom wedding package, that consisted of engagement photos, 2 photographers during our ceremony and reception, an online service to view photos, a custom designed coffee table book and a flash drive with non-watermarked photos. John and the 2nd photographer, Vladamir, captured every single wedding moment. Both have such a great eye for classic and unique shots. We could not have been more pleased with the results! I would HIGHLY recommend Prestige Barkley to anyone looking for the perfect wedding photographer!

We got married in August of 2015 and hired Prestige/Barkley photography to shoot our wedding and we loved them! With Patricia making sure all the paperwork is in order so we didn't even have to think about it, and Johns (the photographer) amazing eye for detail we had an incredible experience. As a parent, the decision of photographer was made by the bride and groom. My responsibility was to pay. I only hoped that the photographer they chose would take decent pictures. I could not have been happier with John from Prestige Barkley. Beginning with the pictures the morning of the wedding, continuing through the church ceremony and the reception, he and his assistant were unobtrusive, friendly, and totally accommodating. We just received the picture link and I cannot believe the quality of the photos. They are spectacular. And I don't know how they managed to get all of the the shots that were taken. HIghly, highly recommend this photographer....Oh, and by the way, the price was great, too!!!
