DJ Justice was plenty nice, but he was lacking in professionalism and needed a lot of guidance for someone who is supposed to be the professional. And I was pretty easy-going, as a...
bride.
A week before my wedding, Justice happened to lose his phone out the vehicle whilst he was mudding........ instead of reaching out on a different device to inform us of this little snafu, Justice decided not to contact us at all. We finally got into contact with him two days before the wedding and we went over our song requests.
Which he then elected to ignore the playlist of nearly 150 songs I had compiled over many months. Yes he played party music, which did have people dancing, but he didn't seem to peruse the playlist I had supplied him until 30 minutes before the RECEPTION ended. He played maybe 4 or 5 of my requested playlist of over 150 songs. I wasn't expecting him to play *every* song on the list, but I didn't hear one I requested until four and a half hours in. Most of my favorite music was omitted from the reception, and I am SUPER bummed I didn't get to dance to what *I* wanted to dance to on my wedding day, and that doesn't seem like it was a big ask.
As for the ceremony, he got *most* of the music/timing right, but not all. He got the Bride's entrance song right, but not the Groom's, and the groom was a little bummed out.
Also to fuel suspicion that he did not review the document of songs I sent him was the explicit instructions to omit the second verse of our First Dance song, just cut to instrumental or the chorus again, but nope, he played it straight through, which was a tad awkward if anyone was listening to the lyrics which were about a couple breaking up...
He also came up to me and the groom MULTIPLE times throughout the evening to ask generic questions that were, yes, easily answered, but, it was a nuisance and we were really starting to loathe being bothered by him.
Finally, and I debated even mentioning it, I felt weird and uncomfortable when Justice mentioned disappointment about not getting to wear a yarmulke for the ceremony, purely for the reason that he thought it would be humorous for a Latino wear one. My husband who IS (reform) Jewish, didn't even wear one for the ceremony, so why on earth would the (Non-Jewish) DJ? It just felt weird and disrespectful.

Issues with Justice(primary contact and DJ)–
Attempts to ...
get out of being our DJ starting a month leading up to our event using strange excuses. (i.e. other customers being racist, other customers spending $30,000 on their events, rain dates, etc.)
Needed micromanaging throughout the entire event, and needed to provide our own equipment to Justice. (He didn’t read the online questionnaire we filled out or the emails we sent providing information about our event).
Had issues about the event being outdoors, yet we specified the event being outdoors.
Harassed guests with various questions instead of reaching out to our point of contact.
Bragged about being drunk, we didn’t tell any prestige production employee they could drink alcohol.
Issues with Photo booth assistant–
Made guests feel uncomfortable by making inappropriate comments about their appearances.
Was visibility intoxicated throughout the event.
Made inappropriate remarks about the bride's appearance. After the bride told him the remarks were inappropriate, the photobooth assistant said “I had 37 drinks tonight,” and then proceeded to stumble off.
Was found lurking around the basement of the house, we had to tell him to get out of the house.(the event was strictly outdoor, no one was allowed inside)
He lied to the groom saying that the father of the bride told him he could take our fireworks(this is absolutely not the case). The groom explained he could not have them, and proceeded to call the groom an a**hole. He then put his hands out and physically touched the groom’s chest.
We found it necessary to remove anything of value away from the prestige production employees after these comments and actions, and lock any doors to the house.
Issues with Corey(Secondary contact)–
Had to contact prestige productions 3 times and wait over a month for them to provide the photos of the event. (Corey sent us the photos in the format that wasn’t requested)
Tired to set up a time to talk to Corey about our concerns and he decided to ignore 3 emails and 1 phone call. We had to directly tell him we thought he was ignoring us for him to answer the phone.
Corey questioned the legitimacy of our concerns. Apparently our concerns might not have been legitimate because we paid for the services and waited over a month to raise our concerns. (we contacted Corey about our concerns immediately after receiving our photos)
Corey decided to make it a point to bring up that he was talking with his lawyer about this issue. We found him bringing this up to be strange and aggressive, considering at no point did we dispute the contract.
Overall–
The amount of requests asked of the bride and groom at their own wedding by one vendor is unacceptable. We would never recommend this company to anyone hosting any kind of event. In terms of the contract prestige productions at bare minimum did fulfill their obligation, which Corey made very apparent that’s what his primary concern was. However, the amount of additional work we had to contribute in order for Justice to DJ our event was unreasonable and unprofessional. To be fair after all the additional assistance Justice did a good job being our DJ. For the most part we were able to contain the issues with him among ourselves so most of the guests were mostly unaware of the issues listed above.
Corey was awesome! He was really responsive and answered any question or last minute changes we had. He and Justice ran the party and it was exactly what we wanted. There were ALWA...
YS people on the dance floor. They matched our wide musical interests and everyone had the best time.
We highly recommend Prestige Productions! Corey is an amazing MC and was super easy to work with. He made our day so special and even made it snow inside for us because we wanted a...
winter wedding! We needed some socially distant entertainment so we had Corey facilitate trivia and everyone had a blast! He's so great at getting everyone engaged. We did one round of trivia questions about us (the bride and groom) and had Corey give out prizes to the winning tables. Everyone was having so much fun that Corey at the last second was able to start a second round of trivia (of general questions). Not a single guest left before the end of the party!
And We've heard from several guests that it was the best wedding they ever attended and we know that a big reason for that is Corey.
