By far the best and easiest decision we made for our wedding day was choosing Preston as our photographer. His work is absolutely amazing and he was so easy to work with. He made us and everyone in our wedding party feel comfortable. He really listened to what we were looking to capture on our wedding day and completely blew us away with his photos.

PRESTON IS THE BEST. We had a wedding of about 160 and he killed it-- He also photographed our rehearsal dinner. The moments Preston captures is like nothing I've seen from a wedding photographer. His creative and artistic spirit shows in each photo and only enhances his subject. He is PHENOMENAL. When it came to our wedding, photography was a priority. We were looking for someone who was experienced, exceptionally talented, and was not an "in your face" wedding photographer...in our research this was a hard find. Preston BLEW US AWAY! On the big day he was so easy to work with and made us feel at ease every step of the way. The pictures he captured were best in class. He sent us preview pictures and then when he sent the full album, we couldn't have been happier. Well above expectations. Preston is a PRO and a amazing human being. We HIGHLY recommend him.

Preston is an artist. I can't write a review that truly expresses how much the photographs represent a piece of art. He captured all the small moments that we didn't even know were happening. We cannot thank him enough for capturing all the details of our wedding day.

When my wife and I were planning our wedding last June, we knew one place that we absolutely had to have top shelf quality and professionalism was our wedding photography. We wanted someone who could capture spontaneous moments without being in the way. Having chosen to not go with any video (because let's be honest, no one ever wants to watch that...Photos are so much better at capturing the moment.) From the moment we saw Preston's work, we knew we were done searching. We met him at Book bar on Tennyson to chat and the chemistry was there from the first moment. He captures the moments as they happen spontaneously and never asks anyone to pose or gets in the way. In fact one of the things we noticed (and a lot of our friends who were present that day also noticed) was that they never seemed to remember seeing Preston during our ceremony but he got amazing shots from a multitude of different angles. Preston is a super nice guy, very easy to work with, a consummate professional and a master of his craft. My wife and I have already recommended him to several other couples in the Denver area and will continue to do so. Every time my wife and I look through the photos, we are flooded with nostalgia and love for that special day, and Preston absolutely did a phenomenal job in capturing it all.

A big wedding priority to us was having a great photographer as we knew the whole engagement and wedding would fly by and we would want to have quality memories. We were referred to Preston by multiple friends so we were confident in his product, but the whole experience with him truly exceeded all expectations. Preston made a real effort to get to know us as a couple and provide a personalized experience. We had multiple meetings with him and he was very responsive to all of our questions. We had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot with him, which was very helpful to allow us to feel more comfortable behind the camera before the wedding, and was nice to have professional pictures of us in everyday clothes. Preston choose scenic and creative locations for the engagement pictures, and we were able to use the great photos as a guest book at the wedding. Preston was very flexible with us and allowed us to make changes and upgrade our wedding package at the very last minute to allow for extra time, an additional photographer, and a wedding book. We were very happy with our upgrade, and the book turned out fantastic. He compiled the photos in such an artistic way that we would have not been able to do ourselves and used very high quality paper and cover. Preston was timely in editing our photos and we were thrilled with the gallery. He even sent us a thoughtful care package of prints after, which was such a fun surprise. We would highly recommend Preston's services to anyone getting married, it was a real pleasure and such a great value for the experience.

Where to being? From our first meeting to the delivery of our photos, Preston was nothing but a class act and exactly what we wanted. We hate posing for and taking photos. So in our search for the right fit for our wedding, his approach to photography was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a documentation of the day rather than posed and unnatural photos. My husband and I are both a little goofy, and we wanted that to be seen in our photos, and we got that and so much more. He captured our day in complete beauty and perfection. We could not recommend Preston more. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. One of the reasons we got married at Timber Ridge was because we saw pictures that Preston had taken there. He captured our wedding in a way that has provided us with the narrative to the best day of our lives and allows us to relive that memory forever. For that, we could not thank Preston enough. Every moment he captured was authentic and beautiful. It doesn’t hurt that my wife is an absolute smoke show, but I digress. Preston is the best. Preston is a slam-dunk of a photographer! Both he and his second photographer created some very unique shots and truly captured who we are as a couple. His relaxed vibe made him insanely easy to work with and his intuitive eye created amazing pictures and memories that we will forever cherish. Preston is truly a master at his craft, but more than that, he’s a great person. He’s very genuine, which shows in his photography. Preston Utley was our unbelievably talented photographer – he is the most talented photographer we have seen, both wedding and otherwise. We did an engagement photo shoot with him first, and he was able to make us look so good and natural, even when my husband and I were awkward. The best was the wedding! We ended up with such creative, classic photos. I was surprised to see some of them like my dress – it was just hanging in a hotel room, but the photo turned out amazing! He has a very unique camera selection, they are smaller so you never feel like there is a giant camera in your face and people hardly even noticed he was at the wedding because he was so discrete. He got us all of the photos back in less than 4 weeks. He is truly the best!!

My wife and I cannot recommend Preston enough! When it comes to finding reliable wedding vendors it's sometimes difficult. Before the wedding, Preston was always responsive, really took the time to listen to what we were looking for, and was a super down-to-earth person as well. He clearly communicated what his photography style was and pricing - there were no hidden "gotcha's". He also was very clear about communicating the timeline about when we'd hear from him before and after the wedding, and always stuck to his word. On the day of, he showed up on time, was really fun to hang out with, and we recieved numerous compliments throughout the night about how nice our photographer seemed! It was also a plus that some of our friends who are photography-savvy said that it really looked like he knew his stuff. When we got the photos, they just blew us away. We were a little bit anxious about getting just a couple of "good" shots, and Preston delivered hundreds of awesome photos! Make sure you check out his gallery so you know what to expect - Preston takes some more artistic looking wedding photos, but that's *exactly* what we wanted. Seriously, 100% worth the money - 10/10, would absolutely use Preston again!

Not only does he create stunning works of art that go far beyond the typical, cookie-cutter wedding photos, but he is a delightful and calming presence to be around during the chaos of the wedding day. I met Preston at my friends wedding a few years ago and immediately fell in love with his work. Fast forward to my own wedding a few weeks ago and I feel SO lucky that Preston was able to capture our day. His photographs are unique and artistic - not the typical still-frames that you might see in any old bridal magazine. WE LOVE PRESTON! We cannot recommend him highly enough. His images were stunning and a cut above the industry standard. He is a true artist and documentarian. His work not only captured our experience of our day, but deepened it. On top of his stunning photos, Preston was so personable, down to earth, respectful, and fun. We had a small, simple Monday wedding, but are very happy with our biggest splurge: hiring Preston. He captured our day perfectly, and we're very satisfied with the results!

The photos were bright and so happy and it reflected the day so well. Preston is not the guy you want if you want boring very posed photos. He captured moments I never knew occurred. Preston brought our wedding to life! First off, his talent of capturing the most authentic moments is something that just seems to be innate. My husband and I have very different levels of comfort when it comes to being photographed and his personality really helped us to both feel comfortable. He included a lifestyle/engagement photo session prior to our wedding and he really seemed to pay attention to the nature of our interactions with one another. We just felt comfortable with being ourselves and showcasing our love... Preston was there to capture many moments, but my favorite was the moment I saw my husband cry for the first time; our first look prior to our ceremony. There's moments to pose and there are moments to just be.... he's great at capturing both. Treat yourself! You won't regret it!

Look no further. Our entire experience, from start to finish, was spectacular. When we started looking for a photographer, we knew we wanted someone who was going to capture the moments that captured the natural moments of our special day, almost a photojournalistic approach. Reviewing Preston's website gave us that impression right away, but meeting him in person just added to his level of professionalism & raw talent. Preston took the opportunity to get to know us through our initial meet up, through email, our engagement shoot, & drinks prior to our big day. He was very well organized at each stage & ALWAYS made us feel like we were in good hands. While we wanted him to capture our wedding in his own style, he took diligent notes to capture what was important to us. Not just specific shots, but he picked up on mannerisms, what makes my wife blush, & how she actually get me to smile. When it came to our wedding day he dressed the part & was a great sport with all of our guests, even when an older uncle decided to jump into some of our shots capturing his own photos with his iPad. Preston had a very professional crew & was able to capture each moment that made up our special day. His artistic approach captured different feels, tones, & emotions in the photos he captured. We interviewed a number of different photographers, but wouldn't choose anyone other than Preston if we had to do it all over again. He's talented, professional, courteous, sneaky funny, & an all-around pleasure to work with.

Preston is great at capturing the moment! Every photo is a piece of art which makes it hard to decide which ones to display. Luckily the book he puts together covers the whole spread. :) I highly recommend you take advantage of the engagement session along with the wedding. We chose Preston to photograph our wedding both because his portfolio was incredible and because his demeanor is so calm. Preston was great to work with—very professional and a talented guy. He has a very artistic approach, so if you are wanting just standard portraits, that's not really his style. But he does a great job capturing the story of the day.

I would recommend him to ANYONE!!! We decided to be thrifty with our budget except for the photos, and I think our photos are worth twice what we paid Preston for them. I found him through Julie Harris, another wedding photographer in the Denver area. (Also AMAZING!!!) I originally wanted Julie as our photographer because I loved my friends wedding photos so much that she took, but she was a bit out of our price range. She was nice enough, however, to sit down with me and help me sort through other photographer's websites to help me find one that we would be happy with. Preston happened to stop by while I was there to give her some files and she showed me his website later. He works as a second shooter for Julie a lot so she knows him pretty well. When you look at his photos up against other photographers we were considering, there was no contest. He is a truly talented individual!! In a couple of years, I could see his prices doubling easily because you can just see in his photos that he has a talent that is head and shoulders above his competition. He's very humble too. He's won a handful of very prestigious awards but I wouldn't have known that if Julie hadn't told me and I hadn't seen the photos on his blog. If he's available, book Preston as your photographer and I promise you will be as happy with your photos as we are!

Haven't seen the pics from our wedding yet, but I can still say that Preston is an amazing photographer. He takes pictures from angles you wouldn't expect and really focuses on capturing the moment, capturing the story of the day. I can't wait to see the final results!
