Pretty Parlor is a full-service beauty company that specializes in Makeup, Brows, and Eyelash Extensions. Artist and Owner Chimere Laroche is a Licensed Cosmetologist with ten years of industry experience. She started her career at Umi Salon, located on Newbury Street in Boston. While at Umi, she gained expert knowledge on executing the perfect round brush blowdry and finish, flawless updo and, most importantly, caring for a wide range of hair textures. Chimere set out on her own to build her skill and experience as a professional makeup artist. She has served as a beauty ambassador for Guerlain, a business manager for Trish McEvoy, and most recently, a business manager and regional artist for Christian Dior. In 2017, Chimere obtained her certification as a professional Lash Technician.
Pretty Parlor was born during COVID 19. Located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston, we service central and eastern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire, and northern Rhode Island.

nected to Chimere. During our initial trial, she listened to my ideas and considered my wedding colors. We tried on a few color combinations with pink’s and golds. When I looked in the mirror, I felt so classy and demure. She nailed a look that suited my personality and interests. I knew from our initial consultation that I needed to hire her as my make-up artist. In the following months, I remembered that Chimere said she had professional experience as a hair stylist, so I also hired her as my bridal hair stylist. On the day of the wedding, I wore box braids which she fashioned into a stylish pinned bun. She sewed in all hair accessories and slicked back my baby hairs. She made sure that my hair and the make up was flawless. And when I put on the veil, I looked and felt like a queen for my wedding day.
Throughout the whole planning process I asked Chimere if she could do this or that and she always responded positively with the best service. I alway appreciated her calm and personable demeanor. As a bride, wedding planning can be extremely stressful, but with Chimere I felt pampered.
