Overall, my family and I were disappointed with our experience with Pretty Pixels. Sarah did offer us a $100 refund for our disappoints, which I appreciate, but the lack of communication & photos still left us disappointed. My main complaints are: it took her over 60 days to send me a single photo from the wedding - our contract stated 20 days. She never initiated contact, I had to reach out to her weekly to check on the photos. Because I hadn’t seen a single photo, I was terrified a memory card had corrupted or something happened to them. Also, the lack of posing/lack of quality in the photos. Sarah and her assistant were very nice to work with on the wedding day, but they didn’t offer much advice on posing for photos or moving us around. Upon seeing the photos, I was very disappointed to see many photos with my veil twisted, my dress tucked under my boobs, my hair messed up, or other small things that an experienced photographer should have been able to correct in the moment. We did get some good photos, but there were some gaps in the content as well. There are individual shots of the groom & groomsmen, but not of the bride & bridesmaids. There isn’t a single photo of me in my wedding dress alone - no bridal portraits. Which I guess is as much my fault that I didn’t notice on the wedding day, but again, you expect an experienced professional photographer to remember for you. My family is extremely upset there are no bridal portraits (but there are groom portraits). Overall, I’m left a little disappointed & definitely wishing I had a different photographer. Our experience wasn’t terrible, but if I had it to do over again, I would pick someone else.

Sarah and AJ were fantastic to work with! They took our ideas for photos and created our vision, but also had some awesome ideas of their own to make our engagement and wedding photos fabulous! They were both so kind and helpful, even throughout the planning process. We would 100% recommend them and will be using them again in the future!

Sarah is amazing! My husband and I had a very small wedding and even though it wasn't a huge party, Sarah did a great job at capturing the big moments! She also didn't skip out on giving us SO. MANY. PHOTOS. from the day! Some photographers will only give you a select amount, but she made sure to let us choose our favorites! Don't think though that they won't be all high quality, the quality of her work is some of the best I've ever seen. I can't recommend her enough!

I can't say enough good things about Sarah and Pretty Pixels Photography. Sarah's planning and attention to detail are second to none. Our work with her began long before our engagement shoot, when she took the time to go out and scout and recommend several shooting locations. We settled on a mutual favorite, a location in Kentucky horse country. One of our most treasured couple photos came from that day--the two of us lying in the grass backlit by the setting sun. Sarah does amazing things with light. We were so impressed that she had scouted this location and had the shots in mind long before the actual day of the shoot. Her planning and preparation continued up to and throughout the wedding day. She had visited the wedding venue several times to understand the layout and lighting conditions. The wedding itself seemed to go by so fast (precious moments are always like that). Sarah's photos are like a time machine for us: we can go back and relive that day, slow it down, view it like we are actually there again. The things she did with the natural window lighting and architecture of the historic building where we were married are hallmarks of an experienced professional. She saw these photos in her mind long before they actually happened and was there at the right time and place to capture them. Don't let my words sway you toward Sarah and Pretty Pixels. Look at her photo galleries and let the pictures speak for themselves. I've never seen another wedding photographer exhibit this kind of creativity, and I've seen the pre-planning and attention to detail firsthand. Cannot recommend this photographer highly enough!

Sarah Bucknam and her partner were amazing. They were professional, empathetic, creative and fun! I would recommend anyone to Pretty Pixels! They were also super affordable and the quality of the photos is amazing.
