Rob and his team from Prim and Perverse did an absolutely beautiful job altering my wedding dress. It was slightly large in the waist and even larger in the bust, and needed 5-6 inches hemmed off of it. Rob made some great suggestions about choices I could make, and the end result was perfect. My bustle was stunning and I love looking at the photos of it while I am dancing! His service was timely and very communicative, and my dress was ready after 2 fittings. He also made a matching handkerchief out of dress scraps for our dog, and we loved the effect!
rob did my alterations for my wedding in october and he was absolutely amazing to work with! he was professional, personable, and extremely talented. he made my wedding dress fit like a glove!! the alterations process was very organized and each appointment i was in and out! it was also affordable and very much within budget for me. could not recommend prim and perverse more! thank you rob :)
I couldn't have had a better experience with Rob! He is so talented at what he does, and if you're on the fence about how something should look or have any questions, he will have your answer with full confidence. My dress fit well and comfortably on wedding day and I have Rob to thank!
Aside from being so talented, Rob was just a pleasure to work with. So fun, funny and personable. I can't recommend him enough.
Can't recommend enough! Rob was absolutely a PLEASURE to work with, and did an incredible job on my wedding dress. I felt incredibly comfortable chatting with him, and asking questions to better understand the alterations my dress needed. He is incredibly patient, explained all the alterations my dress needed upfront, and also left room/space to chat about any other alterations I felt my dress needed, including moving some of the lace on my dress around. His studio is beautiful and very warm and cozy. Prices were very transparent, and he took the time to explain/create a video on how to bustle the dress at our last appointment.
Rob did an outstanding job on my wedding dress, I can’t say enough good about him. He’s amazing at his job and you can trust him 100% with your dress alterations. I drove 4 hours to him and I’d do it all again!
Rob is amazing! I have a large chest and my wedding dress was originally very low cut, so I knew there was a decent amount of work to be done. Rob masterfully altered the dress even with the intricate lace work and made me feel so beautiful! Thank you, Rob!
Both myself and my wife had our wedding dresses altered with Prim and Perverse. Rob kept our dresses secret from each other, worked with each of us on specific needs (& indecisiveness), and added special details to our gowns. His care, patience, talent, and warmth made the alteration process easy. Pictured are our dresses right after our ceremony and a piece of lace Rob sewn into my dress from my mother's wedding dress!
Courtney was amazing! She was very professional and put me at ease! Her work was impeccable and on timely.
I highly recommend seeing Rob at Prim and Perverse! My dress alterations went perfectly and he understood everything I needed from him. He was so amazing and communicative throughout the whole process. He even was able to squeeze me in for an appointment when there was some unforeseen issues with my dress. I couldn't recommend them enough.
I purchased my Made with Love gown from Lovely Bride Philly, and they recommended Prim and Perverse for the alterations. I was initially a little hesitant given the location in Kensington, but I am SO glad I went with them. They have a huge parking lot, which is so rare for Philadelphia vendors. The other recommendation from Lovely Bride was a tailor in Center City that I would have had to Uber to with my dress. In hindsight, I’m not sure why I was even considering that!! The Prim and Perverse studio is gorgeous and is in a cool industrial building. Rob was so much fun to work with and he did an amazing job with my alterations. My dress was form-fitting but not super tight, so it was important that it fit me perfectly and laid right. I loved how honest he was and didn’t try to convince me to fix anything that wasn’t needed. I would highly recommend Rob and Prim and Perverse to all other Philly brides!!
Prim and Perverse was recommended by the bridal salon where I purchased my dress (Lovely Bride Philly) and I'm so glad I went with them! Rob and his team did a fantastic job on my Alexandra Grecco dress! My dress is very slinky and sleek so I was worried any changes would be glaring but the dress fit like an absolute glove! They also stored my dress until my wedding weekend so my husband wasn't tempted to peek.
I reached out after my wedding for advice on storage and preservation and they recommended a great dry cleaner -- their friendly and helpful customer service is unmatched! can personally confirm your dress is in the safest hands here and highly recommend them for any alterations. Thank you, again!
Courtney is amazing! My dress has a lot of detail with beads and intricate patterns. I am so glad to have found Courtney because everything came out perfectly! She listened to what I wanted, consulted me on what alterations make the most sense based on my body type. She even took into consideration the shoes, jewelry, and even our first dance moves to ensure I can move around with ease all night. I felt I could trust her immediately with my dress. She did not try to upsell me, instead offered alternative options but was direct on pros/cons and allowed me to choose. She is masterful in her craft, professional, honest, and I can tell a perfectionist - exactly the type of person I needed for the job. I highly recommend Courtney and know she will care for you and your dress with love. Thank you, Courtney!!
I’m so pleased to recommend Prim and Perverse for alterations. At my first appointment for my wedding gown fitting, I met Courtney. She is an expert at her craft, is intense, direct, and professional - My kind of lady. She has a passion for garments that are polished and well-fitted. Her love of her craft and her technical expertise were reflected in the beautiful alterations she provided. I’m so glad to have met Courtney, and so happy Prim and Perverse was part of our perfect wedding day!
I came to Courtney stressed and desperate after receiving a wild alteration appointment estimate and was met with kindness and honesty. She immediately made me feel heard and addressed my concerns. From that conversation, I knew her and her team were professional, experienced and my best choice for altering my wedding dress.
I had a wonderful time working with Courtney from the start. She was thorough with her review of the dress and what needed to be altered. She completely restructured the waist of the dress and it fit like it was made for me on the day of my wedding. Her work is impeccable and her professional is impressive. She was easy to talk to and I never felt judged in our fitting sessions. Everyone was so impressed by my dress and it’s fit on the day of the wedding. She even helped me create a detailed bustling video for my maids of honor. I highly recommend her work. I would give her more than 5 stars if I could ! Bonus- she’s got a super cute studio pup that will win your heart :)
Courtney is the best. My dress did not need a ton of alternations but needed to be taken in a little on top and hemmed/bustle. The bustle looked amazing and she walked us through exactly how to do it. Her color coordinated loops made it so easy. I felt amazing in my dress.
About a year after I bought my wedding dress I realized that I got it because it was my mom and my mother-in-law's favorite. So when I brought it to Courtney at Prim and Perverse I had a million plans in my head on how I could alter it to make it "better". The dress needed to be taken in a lot so I couldn't see what the dress would really look like on me. Luckily Courtney is a wizard and talked me off of that ledge. Once she started explaining what she would do and pinned everything into place I could start to really see myself as I should in my wedding dress. I am beyond pleased with how it turned out and my husband was completely surprised at our first look.
Prim and Perverse was recommended by the shop where I bought my wedding dress, and I'm so glad it was! Courtney did a wonderful job. The studio is cute, and Courtney is clearly extremely talented and gave me great advice on what my dress needed and made sure it was how I wanted it for my wedding. Courtney also made my veil, which completed the look and turned out beautifully.
Courtney and the team at Prim and Perverse were so amazing to work with. I felt totally at ease with them throughout the way, and my dress turned out beautifully! Highly recommended.
Courtney’s work is pure magic.
Her ability to alter a dress to better fit and flatter a body is absolutely incredible. Not only is she remarkably skilled, she is also kind, generous, funny and clear about what is possible and what isn’t. She will give it to you straight, but in a respectful and loving way. She is a master at giving her professional opinion in a way that is helpful, but not at all pushy, and managing the personalities in the room in order to center your voice and opinion.
I went in to see Courtney for the first time in March 2020, just a few days before the world shut down and we all went into lockdown. My dress didn’t need much — a hemming and replacing of the buttons and button loops in the back of my dress. Courtney was great at communicating with me as my wedding was postponed from June 2020 to June 2021. When I went in to see her a year later, our world had changed and so had I. When I tried on my dress, I no longer felt comfortable or confident in my dress and so I embarked on a journey to find a new dress, literally THREE WEEKS before my wedding.
Courtney was so kind and encouraging as I found a dress that fit me properly and made me happy while wearing it. She managed to accommodate my new dress fitting and alterations in TWO WEEKS and didn’t even charge me a rush pricing. Because of her, I was able to wear a wedding dress that made me feel confident and beautiful. Then after my wedding, she fixed a snag in the neckline of my dress, ON THE HOUSE.
I am so utterly thankful to have been able to work with Courtney. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have such an incredible seamstress on my side for my wedding. She is an incredible small business owner who knows what she is doing and is in demand because of it. Her labor is worth every damn cent and I wholeheartedly recommend her and her team. If you go to Courtney, you will walk away with a dress that feels custom-made and fits you so perfectly that it will feel like magic. But it’s not. It’s Courtney’s skills.
Thank you so much for everything.
What a fabulous experience!! I heard about Prim and Perverse through my sister-in-law and she only had the best things to say about her experience which immediately made my decision feel like a no-brainer. I was SO NERVOUS about feeling comfortable in my dress (being able to use the bathroom, lift my arms because of the netting, dance, etc.) and just overall wanted to feel like it was flattering on me. Let me tell you, Blue knows what she's doing!! She was able to make the adjustments and alterations I needed to feel confident and beautiful on our wedding day and the way she bustled my dress was so creative and BEAUTIFUL. Furthermore, while getting my dress altered, I was able to have conversations with her and get to know her. She is kind, compassionate, strong, and just a beautiful person inside and out. I felt so comfortable working with her in the studio and knew I was in good hands from the start.
Thank you again for such a wonderful and memorable experience!!
Kristi
Courtney and her team did an absolutely beautiful job on my dress. I had to order some very odd sizing since I have wide shoulders, and was really concerned about the fit before tailoring, but she was efficient, knew exactly what to do, and even sold me the earrings I wore for my wedding. They really know what they're doing and I felt not only that the dress fit incredibly well, but was even comfortable! Thank you Prim and Perverse!
Courtney worked absolute magic on my dress! She was recommended by my stylist at BHLDN and I'm so glad. Courtney (and her whole team) worked so efficiently and are very talented, I felt like a princess the whole night at my wedding! She is also so down-to-earth, honest and kind while maintaining absolute professionalism. I would highly recommend!
Courtney was truly the best. She's incredibly talented at what she does, and is such a kind and empowering presence. My dress fit absolutely perfectly and she created a remarkably beautiful bustle for my large/ round train. She really helped with every detail, big and small. She sewed the fabric for our DIY chuppah, guiding me to the cheapest fabric store in the city for materials. She even helped me navigate boob tape. I HIGHLY recommend Courtney & Prim and Perverse.
Courtney and the talented team at Prim & Perverse altered my wedding dress to perfection for my big day. Courtney excels at giving honest and realistic feedback. Also very grateful for her advice on how to transport the dress safely across the country. Thanks for being a wedding dress alteration wizard and emotional support person, Courtney!
Courtney and the whole team did an amazing job on my wedding dress. I purchased my dress and had a lot of angst about whether it was going to work or not, the sizing was very odd as I have wide shoulders and small hips. Courtney made me feel immediately comfortable, answered my questions, was efficient and exudes the kind of confidence that makes you know that your dress is in the right hands. She is truly an artist and I so appreciate her help. She even sold me some beautiful earrings that were at her shop and special ordered the metal type I wanted. Loved the entire experience.
I don't know what I would have done without Courtney and the team at Prim & Perverse! There were many things about my dress that I wanted to fix, and they did it perfectly and had so many creative ideas along the way. Their expertise is clear and I fully trusted them with my dress. Pricing was more than fair for all the work they put in. It was such a joy to work with Courtney/team and I looked forward to our many fittings and conversations! I highly recommend :)
Courtney is THE BEST. I took my wedding dress to her for alterations and she fitted it to me perfectly. I found "the dress" while shopping but Courtney's work really made my vision and dream for it a reality. She also was incredibly helpful in helping my mom and bridesmaids figure out my bustle. Can't recommend her and her team enough!!
Courtney is incredible in every way - her professionalism, her work, and her kind and genuine character. She was one of the vendors that I will always remember not only because of her incredible and detailed work on my lace dress and my complex bustle that turned out so beautiful, but also because of the way she made me feel - empowered and beautiful. She was a joy to work with at our fittings, and was also creative in the way to adjust the dress by placing pieces of lace around the bust for more coverage in the cleavage area. She also made several adjustments as requested when I asked for the length to be slightly shorter given our dancing. Would highly recommend!!! Thank you Courtney!!
My dress was off the shoulder and had fabric across the chest area that on the one side needed to be sewed in place because it had started to roll up. This was at my final fitting, she placed a needle in that spot. I picked it up, the needle wasn’t there, it was sewed and I assumed it was in place. Right before walking out to the ceremony, my dress ripped and now I have pictures at the most important time where the chest area on the right side had rolled up and looks absolutely terrible. I’m really disappointed to say the least! This was my dream dress and I had asked that it be sewn securely in place but this was not the case. Make sure to double check, that what you want is completed and not assume it was taken care of. A lot of money was spent on the dress and a lot of money was spent with alterations. I would say that if there was a next time, I would double check that it was completed but I plan on getting married once. It’s beyond upsetting.
Courtney was so warm and I felt totally at ease leaving my dress alterations in her hands. The finished product was amazing with a perfect fit and bustle for my dress. Courtney and the Prim & Perverse team we’re a dream to work with.
Courtney from Prim & Perverse was absolutely wonderful! She was recommended to me by the salesman for my wedding dress. He said she was the best of the best and I completely agree! The dress that I selected for my wedding was a fairly simple shape, but had a tremendous amount of beadwork. On my first fitting, Courtney and I discussed options for a small train and she showed me how she planned on bustling my dress. I was quite impressed because I had arrived while another fitting was happening and noticed that the bustle for that dress was different – this is crucial as you want someone with the knowledge of what works best with different types of fabrics and different dress silhouettes. When I went for my second fitting, Courtney confirmed the length, ensured the train was how I wanted it and double checked the fit at the top. Her team was very careful with my dress, securing areas where the beads were loose and collecting the beads from the portions they removed so I have them for future repairs. When Courtney and team were done with my dress it looked like it was made for me (and not bought off the rack) and was absolutely stunning! I received so many compliments and could not be more impressed by the attention to detail and care that was taken with my dress. I would highly recommend – she is quite simply the best of the best!
I was unsure of my dress when I bought it because I am pretty petite and it was hard to visualize what it would look like. This all changed after working with Courtney. I never imagined that I would love my dress as much as I did or that it would fit as well as it did. Courtney truly made my dress into the dress of my dreams and I cannot recommend her enough!!
Courtney has unbelievable talent and was a joy to work with. I felt unsure of my dress initially after purchase (you know how it is, you try on a weird size with clips in the store and purchase an expensive dress not REALLY knowing what it will look like), but Courtney made it look like it was made for me. Several people commented how my dress fit like a glove, and I have to agree. I would not have felt or looked this good on the big day without her. Her office is really cool, too!
Courtney was so wonderful to work with! She made me feel comfortable and at easy and I had full confidence in her through the whole process. She made the fittings fun and easy. Though my dress did not require a ton of alternations, she created a perfect bustle and was honest with me about leaving certain things as-is which was right and smart. I didn't think I was a veil person but Courtney made that experience super comfortable as well, and I am SO glad I decided to add on one of her hand cut cathedral length veils. The pricing across the board was fair and her timing and communication was perfect. I would go back to Courtney for other alteration needs in a second. She is a true expert!
Courtney is not only a master at what she does, she is an all-around lovely person, as well.
I bought a wedding dress online that was meant to be a midi with a deep V neckline and after trying it one a few times, I began to feel uncomfortable with such a deep cut and wasn’t certain I loved my body in a midi. Courtney came up with the most perfect and beautiful solutions to help make me comfortable and I loved the dress 10x more when she was done with it. She gave guidance but let me make my own decisions; she was clear about her plans and was just a true professional.
You will not find someone better than Courtney. Don’t even bother. Just call her.
Courtney was FANTASTIC! Even in the middle of a pandemic, she made my bridal experience an enjoyable one. My dress came out perfectly. I liked it before I went to Courtney and was obsessed afterwards. My photographer said it was her favorite dress she’s even seen!
Prim and Perverse was recommended for me by my stylist at BHLDN. I am so happy that I found Courtney because she did an amazing work on my wedding gown! Courtney was able to transform my gown into exactly what I had envisioned. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for alterations or customizations on your wedding gowns!
Courtney was great! My dress fit pretty well off the rack, but she worked with me on details to make sure it fit my body perfectly, that I felt good in it, and even helped me make sure the spanx I chose made the most sense with the dress.
Courtney really was the best! I found Prim and Perverse through the recommendation of Lovely Bride. I read a few of her reviews and decided she was the one.
She is super professional, fun to be around and just great to work with (especially when my wedding was constantly changing due the pandemic). I didn't have to tell her a single thing - she just knew how the dress should fit. I also purchased a cute veil from her that I LOVED. I was never THAT into the dress prior (or any dress for that matter), but on my wedding day I was so happy with how the dress looked and fit.
The only slight con is the location of the studio -- it's a super cool building in Kensington but not super convenient to Center City.
I have no point of reference for price, but alterations ran me about $600 for a crepe dress.
Still HIGHLY recommend!
Real talk: my dress was wayyyy too big when it first arrived. I couldn’t have walked down the aisle in it if my life had depended on it. I’m pretty sure Courtney had to take apart more seams on this dress than she left alone, but oh did she work a miracle (four fittings later!)! My dress is a crepe Theia sheath with an illusion back, and she made it fit perfectly! Courtney is so down to earth and easy to talk to and honestly, I miss our once-monthly fittings. I’m so happy for her new studio space and can’t wait to see her business continue to grow – I am so happy I reached out to Courtney (at the referral of both BHLDN and Lovely Bride Philly, who graciously helped me find an alterer even though I bought my dress in another state!). Definitely one of my vendor team VIPs. Strongly recommend reaching out to her before anyone else to take care of your alterations. I cannot say enough good things about her. I felt so confident on my wedding day and got a million complements on my dress. I’ll say it -- I feel bad for you if you’re using anyone else for your wedding dress alterations!
Final note: My bustle looked amazing and didn’t break even though the crepe fabric was super heavy. You owe it to yourself to invest in a good alterer who can make your bustle look artistic and not like an afterthought, and who makes it strong enough to last through a night of dancing.
Advice: reach out to Courtney early! If you’re like me and clueless, you might not know that September – October is super busy for weddings. If your date is somewhere around there, start on alterations sooner rather than later. (My date was March so it didn’t impact me, but wanted to share the feedback just in case it helps another bride!)
Philadelphia brides--do not bother looking elsewhere. Courtney is simply the best in every way. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was left with two weeks before my out-of-town wedding and two wedding gowns and a custom veil that needed fixing. Courtney worked on a tight timeline and yet delivered with every bit of finesse, detail, quality that you expect with a wedding gown seamstress. Additionally, she is down to earth, kind, and a genuinely humble and good person. She was a joy to work with during fittings, taking the time to allow me to be picky about details, and she was so understanding of my situation. Ultimately my dresses fit like a dream, thanks to Courtney!
Courtney was amazing. She was flexible and professional and really listened to me. My dress fit perfectly, she did such an incredible job. The work she did on the bustle was incredible. Thank you Courtney!!
It was such a pleasure working with Courtney and team. I knew from day one that I could trust them with my wedding dress. My dress had several layers and they made sure that the length was perfect. She did a couple other small alterations that I had wanted which were also great. I had a veil crisis 2 days before my wedding (not related to her at all) and she gave me comfort saying that she could put something together in an hour if i needed it. I ended up not needing it - but the gesture and comfort was what i needed at that time. Very responsive and great with appt times as well. Highly recommend!
Courtney is as good as it gets. As I'm assuming the same goes for most brides, I knew nothing about alterations, what was needed, etc. when it came to my dress. Courtney actually had experience with my dress-style before, and knew where to take apart the seams in order to flawlessly put it back together again and fit in all the best ways. I got so many compliments on my wedding day that my dress was "made for me" - and it really was, by Courtney.
In one of our first sessions, I even almost passed out (apparently that happens a lot??); Courtney sprang into action, got me ice water and a granola bar and allowed me to relax to feel better (she also didn't make me feel judged for almost passing out naked on her floor).
Overall, I was never worried about my dress not fitting or not looking good; I was able to put my full trust in Courtney. Thank you, Courtney, for making me feel so great on such an important day and for being so easy to work with!!
Courtney was without a doubt have been my favorite vendor to work with during my wedding planning experience. She is creative, comfortable, timely, and GREAT at what she does. She created a welcoming and supportive environment for brides, was patient with me as we figured out the details of how I wanted my dress to look. My husband and I eloped - Courtney tailored my dress for my wedding. I wanted to keep the bridal vibe alive at our reception but turn my gown into more of a party dress, and Courtney helped me design the changes, then altered my dress and completely changed the style of it - it was honestly perfect and exactly the kind of help I needed!
Courtney is amazing! Really easy to work with and makes you feel right at home from the start. I especially loved the bustling she did with my train, it was truly a piece of art!
I enjoyed every minute of visiting Courtney as she worked on my dress. She always made me feel so relaxed and comfortable and listened attentively to what I wanted out of my alterations. My dress needed a few simple adjustments (hem, cups, neckline raised) and Courtney showed her creativity on a unique and beautiful bustle to keep my very heavy BHLDN dress off the ground. Her prices are affordable and she was always very prompt in communicating. My dress looked perfect the day of and I couldn't be happier!
Courtney was absolutely wonderful to work with for my wedding dress fittings! She is extraordinarily talented, precise, patient and thoughtful. She also made me feel so comfortable during my fittings and was easy to talk with. The final result of the dress was so perfect and I felt like a goddess on my wedding day!
Additionally, she created the MOST beautiful veil that flowed gorgeously with my dress. It was my favorite accessory (that I ever wore?). She was also able to alter a wrist cuff for me last minute that came out perfectly as well.
Her office was located in her home, which not only is stunning but easy to access and there is always parking.
I highly recommend Prim and Perverse for your bridal design and alteration needs!
A friend of mine recommended Courtney since she had both her wedding dress altered with her, and also a bridesmaids dress from hell that Courtney managed to salvage. My dress was a pretty simple crepe with no real detailing, so I was worried about how the few alterations I needed (adding cups, bustle, and adjusting the hem) might affect the look. Courtney did an absolutely great job and the dress was absolutely perfect!
Courtney is five stars! She came up with a few creative ways to save us money on our alterations and was fun to talk to the whole time. The dresses came out beautifully. Fully recommend.
Courtney is the best!! She’s super easy to work with and made my dress fit like a dream! I also had a complicated bustle and she taught my bridesmaids how to do it! They got it so easily on my wedding day thanks to her!
Courtney was an absolute pleasure to work with! I was very nervous about handing over my wedding dress to be altered, but she put me at ease right away. She is highly experienced and knowledgeable about different dress types and fabrics. She altered my strapless lace wedding gown and my sisters' chiffon dresses. She can easily spot the correct way to fix a problem instead of taking the easy route. She explains each change she is going to make. She is efficient during fittings, and has everything done on time. My dress fit perfectly after only one fitting. I didn't have to play around with or pull up my dress once during my wedding day. I would highly recommend her.
WOW. There are not enough wonderful words to describe how great Courtney is and how much I loved my experience with her. My dress fit perfectly and she made a custom bow that made the dress come to life! Feeling like Cinderella is an understatement. Courtney also kept me calm during the most stressful moment ever: when the zipper broke during my last fitting and I got stuck in my dress. She calmly reminded me that this was just a faulty zipper, she cut me out, sewed in a new zipper and it was better than new. Not to mention she did all of this in an hour and dropped everything! She was such a pleasure to get to know and I would recommend her to anyone!
Courtney is the absolute best! From our first phone call, I knew I trusted her and she made me feel comfortable leaving my precious dress in her hands for several months, something I had been nervous to do with another local seamstress. She is patient and takes the time to listen to exactly what you want, and then makes it happen! She executed my vision perfectly and made my dress fit me like a glove. She also made a very complex bustle for my long train that held up amazingly through a LOT of dancing. She took the time to teach my bustle to my mom so that it could go smoothly on the wedding day, and it did! I would not have felt half as beautiful without her, and words cannot do justice to her immense talent and creativity!
Courtney is amazing!!! Go here.
My dress turned out to need more significant alterations than I'd expected - when I bought a second-hand I was told there was enough seam allowance to make it fit around my hips, but Courtney immediately found there wasn't actually enough in there. She ended up doing a truly amazing set of alterations, taking off part of the train, moving lace around, and giving me enough room to both breathe AND walk. The resulting alterations were completely invisible, totally comfortable, and actually made the dress better through a cooler train. Courtney also gave super detailed instructions on how to get the dress on, how to do the bustle (which was amazing too). When there were decisions to make, Courtney was patient with walking me through different options, giving her opinions but letting me know the final choice was up to me.
Beyond the dress itself, though, working with Courtney was like body positivity boot camp, wedding pep talk, and feminist grounding all in one. I looked forward to my fittings so I could be around someone who is so smart, thoughtful, and skilled at her craft. I am so glad I took myself and my dress to Prim and Perverse.
I used Courtney for my wedding dress because BHLDN gave me her business card and I didn’t know where to go. I saw her reviews were awesome so I gave it a shot. From the first phone call Courtney was super sweet and helpful. I ended up buying a dress that needed a TON of work, and Courtney is so freakin talented. I mean my dress was built for me in the end, and it is because Courtney knew exactly what she was doing. She was super confident in her skill, had a vision, had ideas, shared them with me, and she made a freakin masterpiece. I had full confidence in her ability and skill from the first session. I drove over an hour to use her, and I don’t regret it for one second! Not to mention, Courtney is a beautiful person. She is so good at channeling your stresses and calming you down through conversation and humor. She is just an absolute doll and I don’t think anyone can do a better job on a bridal gown than Courtney. She was worth every damn penny and she is simply the BEST.
Courtney was absolutely amazing to work with. She altered my wedding dress, added a few custom features to make it more unique, and hand made me a custom veil. I was worried that fittings were going to be a stressful part of the wedding planning process but Courtney always made be feel at ease and well taken care of. Super responsive, professional and VERY talented. I would, and already have, recommend her again and again.
Stop reading this right now and go hire Courtney! She is not only so so so extremely talented, she is so much fun to work with. Getting alterations done (especially on something as major as a wedding dress) can be very stressful and slightly awkward, but I always looked forward to my appointments with Courtney. I bought a dress from BHLDN that was a nightmare to alter, but Courtney kept her composure through the 5 months of alterations it took to get it perfect (and believe me, ya'll, it was PERFECT)! She made me feel like a queen on my wedding day and kept me calm and laughing through the whole process. I'd recommend her to anyone/everyone! Thanks, Courtney!!
Courtney is a queen. She is THE queen. Of all of the stress of wedding planning, working with Courtney was a bright spot - FUN, hilarious, transparent, delightful, natural.
I have never felt so confident in my own skin, so beautiful, so comfortable, and radiant.
I HATED my dress until Courtney revived it. She brought it to life, she brought me to life.
Courtney is an incredibly talented woman. My dress was from anthropologie's BHLDN line and I had previously been told that it could not be altered because the lace was one piece rather than multiple pieces. Imagine a distraught bride. I got Courtney's name from BHLDN in rittenhouse, and as soon as we started talking, she calmed me immediately. Even though I'm sure she did not have time to work with me, she agreed to help anyway. She is such an interesting and talented woman, I enjoyed working with her so much. Not to mention, she saved my dress! and did an absolutely beautiful job with alterations. She is a beautiful artist, and I would trust her with any garment and any request. I am so grateful to her. I would highly highly recommend working with Courtney!
