The biggest fear I felt when trying to decide who to have photograph my wedding was whether or not my photographers would really understand us as people and be able to portray a day all about us in a manner that really reflected who we were. Mary and Bill are not only phenomenal photographers, but great readers of character. We met Mary and Bill before the wedding and they asked us a bunch of questions about who we are and what we like and how we ended up together. They were both very personal in their approaches and tried to find what we wanted before deciding how to shoot our day. We wanted the photographs of our wedding to tell the story of that day from the very beginning to the very end, and we didn't want them to feel posed or stiff. In the morning, Mary and Bill split up so that they could cover our entire processes and make sure there were photographs of each of the memorable moments during the day. We shot some before the wedding, and then they were running around and the ceremony was beginning. I don't remember everything that happened during our wedding. It was too fast and my adrenaline was high and I forgot about playing ping pong with my grandparents and doing a shot with all of my best friends, but Mary and Bill had the photos of all of those moments to help me remember later on. They made us both look beautiful in every frame, which is an amazing feat! They told jokes with us, and let us be silly, and accepted that I have a terrible serious face. They mingled with our guests and got some truly gorgeous candid shots. More importantly, though, I felt like Mary and Bill genuinely cared about us as people and as a couple. Even though I didn't know either of them before we hired them to shoot our wedding, on that day they seemed like they were there to celebrate with us. They didn't act like it was a job, or a hassle. Instead they were joyous, and excited, and helped us make the best memories we could. I am sure that Mary and Bill could take posed photographs of us in classic positions and make them beautiful, but that's not where their true value is. What's amazing about them as a company and a team is that never for one second did I feel like I was a job to them—I always felt loved, and cherished and cared for.

Prima Luce Studio had an enormous part in making my wedding day so amazingly fun and unforgettable! I hosted my "Destination Wedding" in Austin TX, which I had never even been to before the weekend of my wedding. With that being said, I relied solely on the recommendations of my catering sales manager and the internet to find my vendors. I came across Prima Luce as a referral from my sales manager at my wedding venue and I checked out their portfolio on their website and really loved the "real-ness" in the way they seemed to capture each moment and the subtle softness to each image... I decided to give them a call and get a quote and as soon as I began chatting with Bill and Mary, I knew they were the ones!!! They were so pleasant, fun, and genuinely interested in learning about who I was, who my fiance was and who we were as a couple. After I signed the contract we had a skype session and few phone conversations that really gave me to confidence that we were working with EXACTLY who we were supposed to be working with. I just LOVED them!! On the day of my wedding, they arrived on time, ready to go and made me feel so comfortable even with the craziness of getting ready. Bill was upstairs with the groom and groomsmen getting ready and Mary stayed with me and my bridesmaids getting ready which was a great way to utilize the time before the wedding to get the "getting ready" shots. I am a pretty low maintenance kind of woman and not always comfortable in front of a camera but both Bill and Mary made me feel so comfortable! Although I forgot to provide them with a "must have list" of shots, they still knew what to do, and got shots of everything I would have put on the list, and plenty of the candid shots that I wanted as well. They were so easy to work with! After everything was done, they worked hard to get the Proof gallery to me in a timely manner and I was SO beyond happy with the photos! They came out MORE BEAUTIFUL than I could have asked for! After I review the proof gallery, they sent me the images on discs and the three 8X10 prints that were included with my package. Not only did we get a gallery of incredible images of the best day of my life, but I feel like we gained a friendship with them as well! I have worked as a wedding planner for about 4 years in my hometown of Key West FL, and I have worked with a lot of photographers...I can honestly say that Bill and Mary of Prima Luce Studio are the most genuinely kind, caring people and any bride and groom would be lucky to have them capture their special day... I know I was! I cannot thank Bill and Mary enough for capturing beautiful moments of my wedding day, but also for actually capturing our personality and feelings that took place that day.
