say enough about how great they both were! We were able to meet and do a trial before the wedding to discuss the look I wanted both in terms of makeup and hair, and they both ensured I was completely comfortable with the end results. All of the other women who had their hair and makeup done loved the end result. Allie and Lindsay were both excellent about ensuring everyone had as much or as little "extra" in their makeup or hair. For instance, my mother-in-law is not as comfortable with a lot of glamour, so Lindsay and Allie were great about ensuring her hair and makeup were more natural compared to some of the others. They are both also just such kind people who were a welcome addition to our morning of getting ready - everyone had rave reviews for them. Primped is a wonderful company with great people who work for them. My hair and makeup lasted all night and I loved the way I looked :) The cost is definitely worth it - you won't regret hiring them!

MUA My hair stylist was Kimmy. She was amazing. The trial went and he got exactly what I wanted. My family and friends who got their hair done by her on the day of the wedding were super content. She is undoubtedly the most amazing hair stylist. My hair was beautiful. The makeup artist however got my family and my makeup wrong. My face was a little orange which was later fixed by my photographer using color correction. My mom and sisters makeup shade was off. Their face looked darker than their body. They didn’t feel beautiful and I didn’t feel myself on the day of the wedding. However, when I reached out to Missy, she acknowledged this. What is done is done but i hope they resolve this internally. I am just not super upset because at least my pictures were color corrected by my photographer. She offered me a partial refund of $100 for my mom and sisters makeup which I guess is fine? Regardless, good company and great hair stylist. Not sure what was up with the MUA, unfortunate that it did not work for my family and I felt sad about my makeup on the wedding. I would still recommend them but maybe would be a good idea to ensure your MUA has the right base/foundation shade. Lol

forgo the stress of getting myself ready so I messaged Primped because I thought their prices and stipulations on their site were fair. They assigned me to Kimmy as my artist and I cannot give her enough praise. She is so down to earth and honest and also very good at explaining everything and she did a phenomenal job. I had my makeup and hair trial and wore it to work and got so many compliments. The day of my wedding I unfortunately broke out with some small spots of acne because hormones but she did such a great job that it wasn't even noticeable. They were also proactive about asking follow-up questions whenever something needed clarification. I did a bridal hair and makeup trial with Jamie A several weeks before my wedding. She asked me to send inspiration photos for my wedding look, and despite the influx of AI-generated content on Pinterest these days, we were able to capture the essence of what I wanted. It was nice to meet her in person before the wedding, and I appreciated the opportunity to give feedback on my look and share how it held up throughout the day. She took detailed notes on what to adjust for the wedding day. I was initially apprehensive about doing a hair and makeup trial, but I’m so glad I did—if you can afford it, I highly recommend it. On the day of the wedding, the entire team arrived at the Van Dusen Mansion 15 minutes early to set up and spent four hours with us. Everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, and the artists provided minor touch-ups toward the end of their time to ensure we were photo-ready. I loved everyone’s final look. I was especially concerned about my elderly mother-in-law, who has short hair and a very particular way she prefers it styled, including a blowout. She listened closely to what I wanted and made it happen beautifully. Kimmy is incredibly knowledgeable about both makeup and hair, and she gave me great tips and product recommendations. I started using some of the products she suggested, and by the wedding day, my skin looked healthier and my hair was silky and shiny. I loved my makeup and hair on the big day! For makeup, I wanted a natural look, and Kimmy totally delivered. It felt like me—just elevated. After crying happy tears during the ceremony, I was sure my makeup was gone—but to my surprise, it stayed perfectly intact. You can’t even tell in the photos which ones were taken before or after the tears! I have really thick, long hair and wore it half down with curls. Usually, my hair doesn’t hold a style for long, but the curls lasted all day—even through dancing! Not only is Kimmy an expert in her craft, but she’s also such a warm, kind person. She was so easy to be around and brought such a calm, joyful energy to the day.

read the pricing information sheet and the contract prior to signing the contract. About 10-12 weeks prior to our wedding I got an email asking to send over the hair length for each bridesmaid. They wanted to charge extra for ladies who had longer hair from the start before even doing their hair. Plus we had 2 ladies with shorter hair and we didn't get a discount for her spending less time on their hair. I confronted them about it stating I didn't see it anywhere on the pricing nor was it in the contract I signed. I was told it was in the Q&A section. There are so many different vendors, that I don't think a bride should have to go through every vendor's Q&A to find additional pricing. They should have them up front in the pricing sheet or put it in the contract we sign. I ended up having to pay an additional fee prior to the stylist even meeting my bridesmaids because the tip was already included in the price so I was worried if I fought it, the stylist wouldn't do a good job on our hair knowing she already got her 20% tip. Weddings are already so expensive, to throw in hidden fees 10 weeks before the big event seems obsurd to me.
