Princeton Station

This place couldn't be beat for the price. For 140 guests we paid just about 4500 (that's including taxes and fees!) There's no room fee- you just pay for the food (and the usual service fees, cake cutting, etc). Also, they allowed me to book the room for the entire day with a minimum payment of 3000 (before tax) where normally they double book saturday functions. The other thing i loved is how beautiful the function room is. It has character and felt warm and inviting- as opposed to the cold, corporate feel i got from the hotel function rooms i checked out. There is also a beautiful bridal room and foyer. The function room has a separate entrance from the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I only had a few hicups during the reception- service was a bit slow at first; guests kept losing their drinks to busboys while they were on the dance floor; and the biggest dissapointment of all- they dropped our cake. It was 3 separate cakes on a stand and rather than move them individually to the back for cutting, they carried the whole table and lost the top two cakes. So most of our guests including the head table went cake-less. They did bring out cookies as an alternative, but still... we are in the process of seeing if they'll give us some money back for the snaffu. Overall though, we had a great experience.
