ing that vision to life. I ended up vetting at least 20+ DJs so to whoever is reading this, let me save you some time – you should put your trust in DJ Charles. Upon reaching out, he was able to schedule a call with us the very same night even though it was after regular work hours. The whole presentation he gave us was very appealing with all the cool add-ons he was able to offer and what made him stand out was his ability to offer us Lasers which no other DJs had. Even though he did not have C02 canons like other DJs did, he quickly solved that dilemma and said he would acquire two canons for our special night. He was super friendly and accommodated our requests from personalizing certain songs for our ceremony and entrances while also being flexible with his packages to fit exactly what we wanted to prioritize within our budget. He has been in the business for many years so his experience comes in handy when planning the timeline for the wedding day. He was able to give us a template that made all our musical selections organized and offered his own suggestions on how best to keep the party going. Both Charles and MC Mason really came through for us and helped us have the type of night we envisioned for our wedding. From the beginning, Prive DJ was one of the few vendors I did not have to worry about before our wedding and I even referred him to three other friends of mine getting married too so he will be DJing for them as well! By the end of the wedding night, many more of our friends asked for his contact info after being amazed by the lasers and music at our wedding. Whatever you have in mind for your special event, I believe DJ Charles can make it happen!

During our final meeting we did a run through and there were no hiccups at all on the big day! We shared a playlist of songs we liked and he totally understood the vibe of the guests. Cocktail hour music was perfect and everybody was up and dancing during reception. We didn't meet MC Tunde until the day of the wedding - but he was such a fun time! My side (Mandarin) and my husband's side (Cantonese) found him super entertaining and we played a few games which everyone had a blast during! Definitely get the cold sparklers they really add a lot of pizazz and we loved that they actually used it throughout the night while everyone was dancing up a storm. One thing I do wish was if he had played a few more songs on the list of requested songs I had put down, but beyond that the music was good! And they cleaned up fairly quickly and packed everything up! Highly recommend!

He also incorporated old-school Korean music that I sent him, bringing all of the adults out onto the dance floor. He has amazing music taste and you can trust he will play good music!! Despite meeting MC Mason on the day of our wedding, he was so professional kept the dance floor hyped up and the wedding guests entertained all night!! DJ Charles and MC Mason were by far our favorite vendors to work with and truly made our wedding night so much fun. Even weeks after our wedding, guests told us how amazing Mason and Charles were. As a bride, all I remember is dancing the whole night. I hope to be invited to weddings where they DJ and MC because I know it’ll be fun! We cannot rave enough about how amazing they were; we highly recommend them!!

se, we wanted to make sure we incorporated both of our cultures through our music. Charles was so receptive to our ideas and did a phenomenal job incorporating all of our requests. During the planning process, Charles was patient and answered all of our questions. On the day of our wedding, Charles was extremely helpful and worked with us to practice our first dance and get a preview of the cold sparklers. The equipment he used, including speakers, lighting, and cold sparklers were of high quality. Our families danced the entire night to a mix of various genres (Bachata, Merengue, Reggaetón, Pop, EDM, Chinese). The music transitions were perfect and we had so much fun! We also want to give recognition to the bilingual MC, Jack. Given about half of our guests primarily spoke Cantonese, it was important to have everyone feel included. Jack flawlessly transitioned from English to Cantonese throughout our reception. He was funny and effortlessly engaged all of our guests. Our family and friends still talk about how awesome it was to have Jack as our MC. We are so grateful to both Charles and Jack for being great to work with and making our day extra special! We highly recommend Prive DJ!

We gave Charles a few songs we wanted and it was clear to us that Charles knew what he was doing because the dance floor was full the entire night. He also recommended extra uplights for the reception space and we are so happy with how the lighting came out. We did not realize that our venue (Brooklyn Botanic Garden) would need extra lighting but we loved how vibrant everything looked. Our MC Tunde was incredible as well. He is so versatile and really knows how to excite and hype up a crowd. He WOWed our guests with his bilingual skills but his singing was beyond expectations. He sang two songs in Mandarin/Cantonese and even had our family members on the mic singing along. He knows exactly how to keep the guests excited and moving! We really enjoyed working with PRIVE DJ and so many of our friends who are engaged are already asking for their contact information. All of our guests were so impressed and we cannot recommend them more! We had such a blast and they really made our vision come to life. Trust us when we say to book them!

husband and I are really particular when it comes to our music, so picking the right DJ for our wedding was one of our top priorities. Charles made us feel so comfortable during our first meeting, working within our budget and telling us he would only play what we would want and when we would want it. We gave him a few Spotify playlists and he curated his own mixes based off of those. He was also so on top of playing the right music at the right time. I’ve been to SO many weddings where the DJ would play the wrong song, start or end it at the wrong time during the ceremony and first dance, and even one where the DJ had to apologize and start the whole song again because he messed something up. Charles was on point with every single instruction we gave him, and we gave him a lot! He was so patient through all of our changes and really was such a joy to work with. As for MC Tunde, we were referred him through another wedding my family attended and he was the best MC we could’ve asked for. He told us he’d sing a song in Mandarin for us, but because he knew my side of the family spoke Cantonese, he even surprised us with a Cantonese song (to which my cousin screamed, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! HE’S AMAZING)! My guests loved him SO MUCH that they asked him to sing another song in English. He was so kind and really got the crowd going. It’s so hard to find vendors you could really trust, but I felt comfortable with Charles and Tunde throughout the entire process. There are so many things that go into a wedding that you want to be able to just delegate what you can and forget about it until the week of, which is what happened with Charles and Tunde. After our first meeting, they took care of everything and we just had to communicate a week before to hash out more specific details. They have 5 stars for a reason - don’t hesitate to book them!

e first introductory zoom meeting, we could tell he was very prepared and organized, with a list of questions not just about our music taste but also about what kind of experience we wanted our guests to have. He also gave very fair and balanced recommendations about what packages best fit our needs, and took time to highlight the pros and cons of each. Charles was professional, very responsive, and definitely delivered when we told him we wanted our dance floor to be busy all night. We were really happy with how many of our wedding guests came up to us afterwards and said it was the most fun wedding playlist they'd ever heard. Things that we were most impressed with: - Clear, distinct packages but with flexibility (e.g. our venue didn't allow certain things included in our package so Charles substituted other add-ons) - Stayed very coordinated with our venue (insurance / timeline / equipment / etc, Charles was always the first vendor to get this info to our venue coordinator) - Tried his best to bring our vision to life (from playing different genres of music at different times, to the production value - he still brought the equipment that our venue said no to "just in case") - His enthusiasm (just so happens we had very similar music taste so he really enjoyed playing a lot of the songs we asked for, but we also asked him to play a bunch of other genres for our guests and he did an amazing job catering to all tastes) Really a great all around DJ to hire for any event, and I would strongly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Cold sparklers and Pro package was worth it. The cold sparklers were one of my top three items on best money spent on my wedding and I specifically looked for a DJ Entertainment company that had cold sparklers with insurance. Charles worked alongside with my coordinator to ensure the plans were being carried out. I only spoke to him 3 times virtually before the event because I knew I could trust him to deliver and he did. My friends told me they know who to hire for their future events because he did such a great job. I selected MC Jack to officiate in two languages. Jack went above and beyond for my husband and I. After the wedding, he personally reached back out and delivered my certificate right before his international flight. Jack truly prioritized us over anything else. We knew he was busy with his personal event the previous week, but was still responding to our emails right away! It shows how dedicated he is to his clients. We were also behind schedule and opened the dance floor much later, but Charles paid attention to the details and played the best songs on our playlist to get the most out of the dance floor. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ and I would recommend Prive DJ to all my family and friends. I also wanted to give a shoutout to the amazing Bilingual MC Jack that works with Prive DJ! He speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. My guests told me he was absolutely amazing. He was funny and knew how to engage the guests all night! He even hosted our tea ceremony, which was not an easy tasks. This team was the dream team!

He is not only super professional, but he remained kind and patient with me the entire year when I had millions of questions. He was also extremely responsive, which is something I really appreciate. We chose to not have a MC, but Charles was so accommodating and helped make quick announcements for us throughout the night. And although we had a string trio for our ceremony, he showed up early to make sure everything was set up for the mic and Cocktail Hour, coordinated with our wedding singer to make our first dance perfect, and literally did everything I've asked for. Now about the music. My husband and I are EDM lovers; we had a vision for EDM to be played 100% throughout the night. Although that is not what you typically hear at weddings, he made my vision come true. He WORKED the crowd. He was SO good. My husband and I agree he really made our night. We had so much fun that I was lifting up my dress all night to dance & rage to the point my body hurt for days after lol. I highly recommend Charles!
