1 What is a Section 12c Catering Co: Chapter 138, Section 12c of the Mass. Gen. Laws is the state-issued Catering Alcohol License. It's an on-premise license that allows caterers to sell alcohol at private events such as weddings, parties, or corporate functions. This license also allows the caterer to purchase and transport the alcohol to the event venue.
2. Can the Beverage Selection for Open & Cash Bars be Changed: Yes & while there is generally no up-charge for cash bars, there may be an increase in the fixed fee open bar rate to do so. We always suggest that you review our "starter" list & then tell us what your preferences are.
3. What Does the Fixed Fee Open Bar Option Include: This option includes your bar staff, insurance, licensing, as well as all liquor, beer, wine & mixers. It also includes ice, plasticware, garnishes, beverage napkins, sip stirrers, portable bar(s) & linens.
4. Can I Provide My Own Alcohol? Yes, we do provide an option for labor & insurance for events where the host would like to provide their own alcohol. We do ask that the host provide us with a list of beverages being provided so that we may confirm quantities based on the guest count & serving hours. In addition to providing the labor & insurance, we also offer a Non-Alcohol add-on option that includes the soda, juices, mixers, ice, plasticware, garnishes & misc. sundries noted above. This is a very popular add-on for our clients as it saves them both time & money while preparing for their special day.
