Within a few minutes of talking to David on the phone, I knew he was the right choice. David has a true passion for wedding dresses and is an expert with complicated textiles. He has thousands of square feet dedicated to wedding dresses and clearly does an incredible volume of specialized and very detailed work. I'll admit that I was still slightly nervous given some of the other reviews, so I dropped it off at a time when David was there in person. He was such a lovely individual and I have so much respect for him - he's a true master of his craft and I feel really lucky to have found him. My dress was cleaned perfectly - I wish I had before and after photos because it was truly unbelievable what he was able to do. My dress was done on time and the price was exactly as quoted. Keep in mind that his work does take time because he does everything by hand and had a meticulous process (as you would want for your wedding gown!), so make sure to allow for a month or so for him to do his work. He'll be able to give you an accurate timeline expectation when you drop off as well. It's also recommended to have your dress cleaned BEFORE any alterations. train was accidentally stepped on (so major shoe print). By the end of the night the underpart of my gown was literally BROWN. I remember David describing parts of my gown as "soiled." Oof. I did not choose to have my dress preserved, just cleaned to be worn again. I picked up my gown today and it is GORGEOUS. I am shocked at how wonderful it looks. Every stain was addressed and removed. The process was long but all good things take time. It is SO worth it. David went above and beyond to explain the process of how the dresses are hand cleaned and cared for. He is truly knowledgeable and an expert in his work.
