Our DJ was Doug Bermick. He has a great radio DJ voice and was very friendly and seemed very organized whenever we spoke with him. He had us make a whole playlist for him to play during our appetizers and our wedding reception. But we had to ask him multiple times to change the music as he wasn't playing the music we had discussed or our playlist we spent hours creating for him. We also requested that whatever song he plays that it be the clean version, but unfortunately we had a few upset guests as there were explicit versions of some of these songs playing. He also would announce the upcoming reception schedule like a play by play and we also had to ask him multiple times not to do that as due to time constraints we had to cut some things that were previously planned. He did not do well with change on the fly. He also went over to my parents and asked for payment in the middle of the reception, even though the night and his DJ job was not over.

Regarding the music played at your event, you never asked us to change the music multiple times. We gladly played as many of your requests as possible and also fulfilled the audience's requests. We have a digital record on our laptops of all the songs that we played at your wedding, which confirms that we only played the clean versions of your requested songs. However, we must note that playing the clean version of a song does not ensure that some guests on the dance floor will not sing the original explicit lyrics of a song.
As your wedding was running 70 minutes behind schedule, I deleted some activities from your itinerary to save time. We did this only after checking with you to see if you still wanted to do everything. We kept your guests informed of the activities so that they could enjoy your wedding to the fullest. Moreover, we helped your family and friends to navigate three different areas of your wedding venue. We would also like to point out that you only paid for the sound systems for two areas (your ceremony and reception), but 30 minutes before your ceremony, you requested an additional sound system for the appetizer and cocktail hour, which we set up free of charge!
Finally, we would like to clarify that the contract you signed (which you have a copy of) clearly states that the final payment is due within the first hour of the event. Most of our clients pay the balance due within the first few minutes of an event, without us asking. We only requested payment from you at 10:30 pm, which was five hours after the start of your ceremony. We apologize if this caused you any inconvenience.

Doug was the DJ and Masters of Ceremonies for our 50th Wedding Anniversary this past August of 2023. Doug followed all our wishes and desires for the event and communicated expertly with us beforehand so that everything would flow as planned and everything did. I highly recommend Doug to everyone and are looking forward to using Doug again for our DJ needs. He helped us to much with the overall timing of our reception, helped us incorporate things that we wanted to do, and gave us ideas of what we could do instead for things that we didn’t want. Unfortunately I was disappointed with Professional Sounds for my wedding day DJ. The biggest issue was there was confusion with the end time of the reception and instead of Doug asking me about it he just listened to the venue (when they ended up being wrong) so the reception ended and most of our guests left. When the confusion was cleared up I'm glad Doug resumed but unfortunately the music had been cut off for a while at that point. And then there were a few specific requests I had asked for - such as making sure Sweet Caroline was played when both the bride and groom were on the dance floor and the song played and the groom was nowhere to be found. We ended up finding him in time, but it wasn't what I requested. I also had the anniversary dance and it had low participation because it was not well explained which was disappointing. Overall I felt like more could have been done to engage the crowd throughout the night.
Doug did a great job communicating up to the day of the event and an even better job juggling the many last minute changes we had the day of our wedding. Just days before the wedding he made sure a prerecorded speech for someone who couldn’t attend could be played over his sound system for us. Extremely professional and went above and beyond checking on the head table during the event and making sure we had everything that we needed. Completely satisfied.
Doug was born to be an amazing DJ! He made our wedding so special and the night flowed flawlessly. He was so sweet and always made sure we were taken care of with food and drinks. Without your help, our wedding day would not nearly have been as special!

Professional Sounds was awesome. I had to plan my wedding from another state and they totally worked with me. I always felt super important to them. Dave was friendly and talked me through everything I needed to consider and what songs I needed to pick out.
The DJ at the wedding did a great job reading the crowd and playing music that kept everyone dancing. I love dancing so that was really important that my guests wanted to dance too. Our DJ kept bringing me and my husband fresh drinks, which was awesome!

Would recommend and book again. The reception went so well, the MCee was great at keeping everyone on time, keeping people on the floor, absolutely perfect. The planning process with them is easy as they make sure they have everything squared away with you (rather than you trying to scramble to make sure they are on the same page as you)!
Mike was our DJ and he was fantastic! He interacted very well with us, our parents, and the guests. I wanted a very casual timeline, and he respected that while still providing the structure we needed.
The vendor was hired by my MIL close to the date of the event. To be honest, I was not a huge fan of my interactions with Doug or the forms we filled out with our information. They were hard to follow and messy. The ceremony form wasn't sent to us to fill out, so that created confusion on the phone later. Doug also interrupted me many times on the phone and asked if I had been to my venue, after not understanding where we were having our outdoor ceremony. I found him rude, but perhaps it was a bad day.
I was VERY pleased with our actual DJ, and that is why I'm leaving a 4 star review.
Anyone can play music but Doug read the crowd and played the songs we wanted when it was appropriate and he was able to keep everyone engaged and the tempo of the party just where we wanted it. Doug is really an excellent DJ. He cared a lot about making 100% certain we heard all the songs we wanted and danced to what we wanted. As important and great as Doug was at playing what we wanted and filling in the rest of the music selection with his good judgment, it pales in comparison to his best value he brings which is so, so very important.
To put it simply, Doug is not just a DJ, he is a true MC. He commanded the entire day at the wedding and reception exactly how and when we wanted whatever we wanted done. He worked with everyone at each venue and commanded the crowd to ensure the schedule of events goes off on time with a guiding hand that almost no one notice except those that were impressed at his time management ability. Doug was a God send for us and made our day, our evening, our friends and family and our wedding overall happy, fun and hassle free. I could not imagine not having Doug there, I'm 100% certain it would have not been as nearly as fun and enjoyable.

It's been over 7 months since we got married, so we have attended a few weddings and events since... and Doug is still, without a doubt, the best DJ...ever! His meticulous attention to details, professional pre-event planning and overall care and concern for our wishes for the evening helped make our wedding spectacular. Doug didn’t just meet expectations, he exceeded them. During dinner, he made sure our entire wedding party had drinks and our every need was met - he was incredible! My husband and I tried to walk around to tables to greet and talk to guests, but had a difficult time because they were on the dance floor the entire night! In fact, the floor was packed from the first dance to the last. We had numerous calls from guests who said “your DJ was awesome!” and many requests for his contact information, as they want him to be their wedding DJ, too! I guess Doug's "secret sauce" is that he understands his audience, takes their cues, tastefully engages them and creates an unbelievably fun environment. On a scale from 1-10, Doug is 100. You will not regret hiring him for your special day - I guarantee it.

Doug was awesome. He kept us on track with all of our reception activities from the toasts, to the cake cutting, and all of our different dances and activities. He was very professional and respectful at all times and made the night more memorable. The quality of our entertainment was top notch. The music selection was great all night long. He played everything that we liked. He also took requests all night long, and was very interactive with the crowd. We were offered uplighting to enhance the ambience of the room- and that really helped and looked great. Doug really does know how to create a good time and I would recommend him to anyone. We loved our experience with Doug, he was kind and polite. Doug was a lively DJ and host, who kept our reception exciting and fun. The digital sound system was crisp and clear and all of the music played was appropriate and upbeat. Couldn't have been happier with his service and attitude.

It's been 3 months since we got married and friends and family still talk about it. The three main parts to hosting a great wedding are, the venue/atmosphere, the food, and the MUSIC and Doug hit it out of the park! Our guests loved the ceremony music, the reception hosting, and the dance floor. He was so professional through out the more formal part of the day, then once the sun went down, he kept everyone on the dance floor! I would recommend him to any bride and groom!
We had a pretty complicated event, 3 sound systems from Professional Sounds on 3 different levels. Given the day, I believe Professional Sounds did an absolutely wonderful job! Thank you so much- you were awesome!
The DJ was always friendly when talking with us. He always asked if we were ready for special events. He honored all of our requests. He was professional with all of our guests. The entertainment was wonderful. Music was played at a decent level. There was a good variety of music. The DJ would talk when needed and he kept a good flow to the evening. We loved the attention to detail and we had a great experience with Professional Sounds.

Our reception turned out beautiful! Doug was very nice and he was always making sure the timing of all of our reception events were done perfectly for us; as well as our songs were played that we requested. Doug was very professional, and made sure everyone’s names were announced correctly for the reception. One of the things that impressed us the most was how he offered to get the head table food and/or drinks on many occasions throughout the night. Doug Bermick was amazing, he made sure that the bridal party had drinks at all times, he spoke to our guests and family to let them know what was going on, and he even started to hand out beers and helped with the drinks due to our bartenders showing up late. He surpassed all of our expectations. Always smiling, he is a great entertainer and he kept our guests dancing all night. He for sure made sure our wedding reception was catered to our wants. I would highly reccomened him.
