Following delivery of your gallery, you initially communicated that you loved your experience and the work produced by my team. Your concerns arose later in connection with a request for the complete raw photographs at no additional cost, despite those files not being included in the services you contracted for. When I explained that I could not provide an additional deliverable outside the agreement for free, you threatened to leave a negative review in connection with that request. I have retained the written correspondence documenting that exchange. Malicious reviews are extremely disheartening to read. I absolutely respect that you are entitled to your own opinion of your wedding photographs and film. Creative work is subjective, and I would never suggest that you are obligated to feel positively about every image or creative decision. However, there is an important distinction between expressing an opinion and presenting disputed or untrue statements as fact. Most notably, several statements attributed to me in this review are simply not things I said. The review states that I told you red eye corrections were excluded because they constituted “detailed retouching.” That characterization is not accurate, and our written correspondence documents what I actually communicated. That context matters because it makes the characterization of this review as false. I am certainly willing to accept legitimate criticism of our work, but I do not believe it is appropriate to make or imply factual allegations about conversations that did not occur, particularly when the actual written communications establish otherwise. Such as citing waiting "weeks" for revisions. Productions take time and you were always informed of the next steps and we were able to send you complete revisions within 2 weeks, during the busiest time of the year. The moments that were not originally included in your film were also moments that you never specifically mentioned wanting in the film, so we had no way of knowing that these specific moments were the utmost priority to you, since every couple has different priorities and typically let us know if there is anything specific that stands out for them. I also want to clarify that some of the technical conclusions in the review were based on the assessment of another photographer who you brought in to evaluate your images. You compared our photos that have a natural editing style, to an outside photographer who had a very filtered and heavy editing style. I respect that you sought another professional’s opinion, but that person's assessment is not an objective finding about the quality of my work, or my teams work. I invested significant time into your wedding, including the photography, videography, editing, revisions, and follow-up after delivery. When you brought concerns to my attention, I worked to address them, including making revisions to the film and gallery. For several weeks I made multiple revisions for free, trying to make you happy even though you initially stated you were happy. I stand behind the work that was ultimately delivered and the effort I made to resolve the concerns you raised, only after not getting the raw photos for free. I am genuinely sorry that your final experience did not leave you feeling the way I want my couples to feel when they look back at their wedding. At the same time, I believe future couples deserve an accurate picture of what occurred, including the portions of this review that are contradicted by our written correspondence. ome details for transparency. Your contract was for 325 edited images, not 400+. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected situation with a contracted photographer, you received just under half of your images. I absolutely understand how disappointing that was. From the moment I learned of the issue, I kept you updated with consistent communication, provided the raw photo folder, and refunded 50% of your package right away—well before the situation was resolved. Later, I issued a further refund, meaning you received back all but the tax portion of your package. I recognize that no refund can truly make up for missing photos from such an important day, and I don’t dispute your frustration. But it’s important to note that I did everything within my power to resolve the situation fairly, even while navigating a legal dispute with the contractor involved. I’ve always stood behind my clients and made every effort to correct issues when they arise. We’ve only ever received 3 negative reviews from actual couples, all tied to either natural disaster or when a client blatantly lied, and while those rare cases are heartbreaking, I’ve always taken steps to support my couples as best as possible, you included. I sincerely wish your wedding photos had gone as originally planned, and I regret the outcome, and once the court case is settled against this former team member, I will still try to help you as best I can, hopefully by getting the rest of the photo's from them.
