Had an amazing experience at Pronovias and highly recommend to everyone of all shapes and sizes. I came to them for a last-minute wedding gown, and they absolutely delivered. When they heard my situation, they quickly accommodated me and squeezed me in for scheduling and once I decided on a dress, they booked all follow up visits for alterations immediately to ensure that my dress would be completed by my wedding! Everyone was super helpful and sweet, they made sure I felt comfortable and looked great, and they made sure to only show me dresses within my budget! In fact, I found a dress so perfect and under my budget, that I even ended up buying a veil which I initially wasn’t planning. As a plus size girlie (size 18-20), I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find something off the rack on such short notice, but they made it happen and had so many options for me to choose from. The level of care and attention they provided me with was phenomenal and I highly recommend Pronovias to any upcoming bride looking for their gown.
Too much to type this was the review I left My first event bridal dress shopping experience at Pronovias was an absolute nightmare. I expected a welcoming and professional environment, but instead, I was met with an overwhelming sense of disappointment. The behavior exhibited by the store's director, Tammie, was particularly appalling, given her role within the establishment.
From the moment I stepped into the store, it was evident that no effort had been made to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Stereotyping and unwelcoming ambiance set the tone for the entire experience. It was disheartening to see that the store was ill-prepared for my appointment, despite making prior arrangements. This lack of organization was a clear indication of the store's disregard for customer satisfaction.
The attitude of the staff, especially Director Tammie, was far from professional. Instead of providing guidance and assistance, they subjected me to their own biases by suggesting more affordable stores and those catering to different sizes. This complete disregard for my preferences and potential purchase was both disrespectful and unprofessional. As a manager myself, I was shocked to witness such behavior from someone in a leadership position.
The lack of basic assistance was further evident when the staff failed to help me unzipper my dress. It was a struggle that left me feeling embarrassed and unsupported. This level of neglect and indifference towards customers is simply unacceptable.
To add insult to injury, Director Tammie herself engaged in body shaming, making inappropriate comments about my appearance. This behavior is not only hurtful but also completely unprofessional. As a manager, I understand the importance of creating a positive and inclusive environment, and it is disheartening to see a director exhibit such behavior.
In conclusion, my first event bridal dress shopping experience at Pronovias was a complete disaster. The store's sterile environment, unpreparedness, unwelcoming atmosphere, lack of professionalism, failure to assist with basic tasks, and body shaming from the director herself, Tammie, were all deeply disappointing. I strongly advise against visiting this store if you expect a respectful and supportive bridal dress shopping experience.
I visited Pronovias in November 2023 and had a pretty bad sales associate experience. I expressed that I wanted a dress with no cleavage and the sales associate gave me bridal dresses from Gilead to try on. She left for about 20 minutes during our appointment to find more dresses to try on, including a dress in a bigger size to try on. She came back with 3 dresses, 2 of which didn't even fit. When we walked through the store, there were 3 dresses I explicitly said I wanted to try on. I didn't get to try on any of those 3! Two of them she said she knew wouldn't fit and they didn't carry any larger sizes. It's a shame for them because my next appointment at another boutique had one of those dresses and it ended up being a winner. Pronovias could have made the sale.
I will be contacting Pronovias to request my money back for this appointment since I barely tried anything on.
TL;DR - Stylist was awful. Ordered wrong dress size. Lied to us multiple times. Misrepresented the wedding dress into a completely different silhouette. Global customer service saw nothing wrong with entire experience and would not offer any refund.
Being engaged and planning your wedding should be one of the most exciting and fun times of your life. So if you want to keep that joy, get as far away from this place as possible.
Pronovias NY almost ruined my entire wedding for me - multiple times. So much so, that I found myself at a different bridal salon 4 weeks before my wedding to purchase a (second) sample dress 6 sizes too large to have altered in time for my wedding. THAT is how god awful my experience was here from start to finish. Enjoy the saga below!
There were multiple red flags from the beginning, so brides please trust your gut. Because I didn’t. And then I had to spend an extra $8k on a replacement dress due to this places gross negligence, flippant attitude and greed.
The full laundry list:
First appointment - stylist didn’t know what they had in stock. Bridesmaids pulled dresses for me because they stylist kept pulling things she thought I’d look good in, not what I told her I wanted.
Buying the dress - Sassed my bridesmaid (again) about scheduling my follow up. Consultant was impossible to get in touch with. Ordered me a dress that was too small, despite repeating multiple times that I was not the size she said I was.
First Fitting - dress does not fit. Luckily I had 8 months to prepare myself. Consultant does not remeasure me, only orders one size up. Never offers any type of apology. I’ve been the same size [115 lbs and 5’8” since I was 16 years old], I know what dress size I wear. It never changes. I call the salon after my fitting and request two dresses to be ordered: one size up and two sizes up. Obviously I was fearful that the one size up wouldn’t be enough. They confirmed they would order both for me.
Second fitting - I show up and only ONE dress was ordered, the dress that was two sizes up. Thank god I told them to order that dress because it fit and there was NO room to take anything out or in.
However, the dress that I put on was completely different than the way it was pinned during my first ever visit. The consultant pinned the dress like it would be loose fitting from the waist down, instead I had a trumpet gown. It was absolutely horrifying and heartbreaking. I was so uncomfortable in my wedding dress and we were 6 weeks before my wedding.
When I asked if they could let the dress out, I was asked “why would you want to do that? It looks good?” Uhm, because I never wanted a form fitting wedding dress, that is why.
One month before my wedding, I went to a new salon, purchased a sample dress and then had to have it completely remade at a seamstress in Manhattan, resulting in spending a FORTUNE due to the disaster that is Pronovias.
Pronovias dresses are beautiful. I’ve had friends wear them for their weddings. I recommend never ever coming to this salon, but instead going to another salon that sells their brand. You will regret trying to buy your wedding dress here.
I was so nervous with some of the bad reviews but this store made the process so easy for me!! Ordered august 2021, first fitting July 2022, then august 2022 (fit almost perfectly so didn’t need to come back in sept), did a final fitting 2.5 weeks before my wedding and picked up a week before in an easy travel bag for flying. Punctual and perfect and it fit like a glove. I got so many compliments on my dream dress!
!!Warning!! To anyone woman over size 10. DO NOT make appointment at this place. They advertised plus sizes up to 32, but TWO days prior to a fitting scheduled a month earlier, we found out they have TWO dresses available! They are nowhere near my daughters style. So if it’s not the actual dress that you want, you won’t know if the dress will actually fit you.
My daughter made an appointment over a month ago, which was a nightmare to make due to their online services were not working. They keep telling my daughter her Credit card declined, when it was actually "their" system error. American Express said the vendor had not even tried to put payment through. This should have been our first sign something wrong with this business. Nevertheless, she finally was able to book the appointment and I was very excited because they advertised the plus sizes available.
TWO days before our appointment they called my daughter to let her know they only have two dresses in her size. Why would you advertise on your website that you have sizes up to 32 and not have samples of all dresses?! In the meantime, I have already booked my flight to fly 3,000 miles to watch my daughter try on her dress, and now we can’t even go?! What a sad moment for my daughter, she is humiliated. The sales person, Fatima, basically fat shamed her and said "we don’t keep those sizes in stock." So Un-professional. And you DID NOT KNOW THIS until two days prior?! Quite frankly, the average woman is now size 16 or 18.
To get in touch with the employee's manager at the store was almost impossible. They would lie and say "We’re trying to call you" when they were not. After being persistent, my daughter finally spoke to the manager. The manager at the business was very condescending and kept calling my daughter "my love". That is so disrespectful to use those words on someone you don’t know and when speaking to "any" customer.
After reading all the reviews. What a nightmare they have been to customers! I guess it’s a blessing in disguise they didn’t have her size, so we won’t have to worry if we’re going to get the correct dress and/or if it would be able to be altered.
The corporate office should retrain all the staff members, including the manager, on basic etiquette and courtesy. At the time of booking they should ask the customer what size range and what type of dresses they are looking for. This way if they don’t have them available, they can let the customer know upfront, instead of 48 hours before our appointment.
TLDR: try on dresses here but buy elsewhere!
I had an awful experience with Pronovias. There were no red flags when I purchased my dress and veil, but the coming months were horrible. When I asked to see my veil at my first fitting, I was told that they had it but they forgot to put it in my dress bag. I was also told that the extra tulle I ordered would be added at my next fitting. At the end of my 2nd fitting, 38 days before my wedding, I asked again to see my veil and asked why the tulle was not added. After waiting 15 min for a manager, I was informed that my veil was discontinued and was NEVER ORDERED and the extra tulle couldn’t be found. This was 8 months after the order was placed for the dress, veil and tulle! When was I going to be told about the veil? I picked a new veil (which I refused to pay for although they tried to make me do so), and the tulle was finally added by my last fitting, 9 days before my wedding. At my last fitting I asked for the cups to be adjusted because the placement was causing an odd fold in the fabric. The seamstress said she fixed them and steamed the dress and I was sent on my way. On my wedding day I noticed that the cups in dress were not fixed, and the fold in the fabric was still there. I love Pronovias dresses, but my advice would be to look at dresses here and order it from a different bridal store. Do not trust them to do the right thing and advocate for yourself.
DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give no stars, I would. 3 weeks before my wedding on July 23rd, on the day of my intended first fitting on June 30th, I was called and told my wedding dress would not arrive in time. Not only was I unable to wear the dress I had picked out and was so excited for, but Pronovias also left me with no time to get an alternative dress. I was robbed of the opportunity to get a new dress I felt special in on one of the most important days of my life. The company would have known if the dress had shipped 2-3 weeks prior and should have been checking in on the production. I had purchased the dress in January and come into the store 2 additional times since purchasing the dress for veil selection and hair accessory selection and was reassured everything was on track with my dress during those appointments. On July 1st, I went into the store and Emma from Pronovias stated that the store would not be able to issue a refund and that I would have to wait to receive a call in order for the refund to be issued, which would be in 2 business days. It is now Saturday, July 9th and I have not yet received a call nor a refund for the dress and veil. Words cannot express how frustrated and disappointed I am with this company. I do not wish this on any other bride and am writing this review to warn other brides from purchasing from the Pronovias flagship store in NYC as this has caused so much stress and put a raincloud over our wedding.
Beautiful selection of gowns there, breathtaking. Friendly staff too. When I said yes to the dress we had a toast of champagne! :)
My dress was my dream wedding gown. The dresses are stunning but my experience with the NYC store was nothing short of a nightmare experience. I recommend buying your Pronovias dress from a boutique that will take better care of you.
They messed up my order so that my dress was not arriving until the day before my wedding. I had to fight with them for weeks & message the team on instagram before someone finally got me a dress to arrive with enough time for alterations. The store never admitted that they were wrong and if it weren't for me going to every length possible to fight for a dress they would've done nothing.
The store is overbooked and under staffed. I needed 5 appointments because two times I went in none of the alterations from my previous appointments were done. My final appointment I was there for 5 hours because I refused to leave without it. Each time I had to wait 40-60 minutes past my appointment time before I was seen.
I expressed my disappointment every step of the way and was told I'd have a discount applied to my final payment of 15-20%. At the last appointment the manager did not have the clearance to give me the discount but my wedding was only 5 days away so I needed to leave with it. I was told to email customer service for a refund and the manager would make a note to support to give me the refund. To no surprise they immediately declined any type of reimbursement. I could go on about everything that went wrong - these are only the highlights.
TL;DR - Run far away from the NYC store. Plenty of boutiques that carry Pronovias & will treat you well.
STAY AWAY! If I could give them 0 stars I would. Every time I have gone in recently I have only seen girls upset. Had I seen that when I first went in I would NOT have bought my dress there! They never pick up the phone. The sales girl was pushy, ordered a dress far too big to the point I had to go in FIVE TIMES for alterations in a matter of 2 months and the dress still didn't fit and wasn't done. Alterations that WERE done were done poorly. They tried blaming me loosing weight which unfortunately was not the case. The dress wasn't even ready AND WAS DIRTY when I had to leave for my wedding so I had to go buy another one off the rack. They tried every which way to get me to keep the dress but it was unwearable. Now they are not giving me any refund and they still have my dress!! UNACCEPTABLE!
I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed with my Pronovias try on experience. Personally, I knew I wanted to visit the Flagship because I love the taste and elegance of Pronovias dresses! I had tried on and loved a style at another bridal shop, but I wanted to visit the Flagship to get a few more styles out of my system before committing. I was very disappointed that all the samples I tried were too small for me. For reference, I am a size 10. All the samples could not be closed which meant I could not get the full effect… I don’t understand why the Flagship in NYC would not carry a broad size range? As a result, I am ordering my dress elsewhere. My stylist was very nice and accommodating, but the store failed in this situation.
Horrible do not recommend unless you want added stress for your wedding planning. My dress was supposed to be here. Every time I call they say they will call me back and do not. They say they will email me and do not. They have been so sloppy and do not have answers of where my dress even is. The stylist that sold me my dress convinced my to do fast shipping and I had to pay $600 dollars for and my dress it not here with no answer and no apology. DO NOT waste your time or your money here.
I had an incredible experience at Pronovias! I was a Covid bride, and they were very kind and helpful throughout that process, and held the dress safely for me there. The alterations department was incredible. The woman who did my fittings was so sweet, kind and helpful. She was very patient with a nervous bride! My fittings went flawlessly, and they made me feel confident that every detail was important to them. They made me feel wonderful, and I purchased my veil through them as well! It is a beautiful store with gorgeous dresses, and I was able to make all appointments very easily.
I wore the Ivania dress, and alterations made it even more beautiful by adding custom details I wanted.
They LOST my dress in the mail a week before my wedding. The wedding had been postponed due to Covid because my husband was a first responder at the epicenter hospital in NYC, so this was the cherry on top of a really rough year. Finding the dress was great but if I had to do it again, I would've taken the dress and run. It started with the alterations process when the seamstress made a huge deal about how I had gained weight during COVID ( I also have an auto-immune disease which contributed to weight gain), told me that I need to stop eating, and said that she couldnt do any alterations until I properly fit into it. And everytime someone passed by to see me in the dress she would tell them about how I gained weight and didnt fit into it. I was in tears after my first appointment where I was repeatedly body shamed and finally got a hold of someone and told them about my experience and they told me I would have another seamstress so not to worry. I show up at my 2nd appointment and there she was, the same seamstress. They never got another seamstress for me but they had her 'chaperoned' so she wouldn't say anything again. After the alteration process was over they told me they would overnight the dress to my mom's house in TX since that's where the wedding would be. I wait and wait and never receive any tracking information. For the next week I call the store every day and either NO ONE picks up or it's a completely different person and they take my name and number down and let me know they would call me back, which they never did. Finally I get the tracking information but the dress never arrives to my mom's house. I call and call and no one answers so I finally call FedEx and they flag it and they tell me they will look for it. Since no one at pronovias returned my calls I run to the store and the manager tells me that the dress had been lost in the mail but they found in somewhere in PA and it was going to be returned back to the store the next day. I feel like me calling FedEx probably flagged for them and they wouldve never noticed. I ask her if I hadn't been calling excessively would they have even known and she says "I dont know." They asked me if I wanted to reship it and I told them absolutely not. *** As an update, I got a phone call from Fedex a week after my wedding and they said that after they investigated, it looks like the vendor (Pronovias) created the shipping label but never gave it to fed ex to ship. So the dress apparently was in the store somewhere and they lied about it being shipped out to another state and just couldn't find it and made up a crazy story which is actually insane. Do not take your chances, I already had postponed my wedding once due to covid and it was not worth the additional stress. Not calling people back who have paid for a service and are desperately seeking answers is completely unacceptable.
I got my dress from Pronovias in August 2020. I went for my first fitting June 2021. I was told I would need three fittings in total. As I love 5 hours away I scheduled my fittings at specific times I would be in nyc. When I arrive to my second fitting 3 weeks prior to my wedding I wait 1 hour and then am told that my seamstress no longer works there and I will be assigned a new seamstress. I try on the dress and no alterations have been done to my dress. The new seamstress states that she is not sure she can get the work done in time. I am told by a manager that I will have to come back in 2 weeks for an extra fitting and when I tell her that I live 5 hours away she says “ guess you will need an afternoon appointment then” at that time I am offered a 300 dollar refund. Lily the seamstress was the only redeeming part of pronovias she was able to get my dress perfect for the day. On the day I pick up the dress I am told that I don’t have to pay the remaining 130 dollar balance and someone else will call me to ensure I get the rest of my refund. 1 month later I don’t get this call and I call them to follow up. I then get an email saying since I picked up the dress I agreed to the 130 dollar refund not 300 dollars and they will not be refunding me any more.
The lack of professionalism from pronovias is astounding I would NEVER recommend anyone get their dress from them.
Gorgeous dress, but not worth what I went through. I came in for my first fitting only to be told the wrong size had been sent, and they'd have to re-order it. Why they did not bother to check the dress BEFORE I had left work for the fitting and my mom had come from out of town to be with me is unclear. And mind you, this was after I was told months before that I absolutely HAD to order the dress immediately and pay a rush fee, otherwise it wouldn't arrive on time. Clearly that was BS!
Then I came for my second fitting and was made to wait for an hour, at which point they tried to give me an appointment with a different tailor than the one I had requested (they had said I could see the head tailor as a way of making it up to me). I refused and had to wait an additional half an hour. You'd think after what they put me through -- getting a series of fittings dangerously close to my wedding day, due to their mistake -- they would give me some kind of priority treatment, but NO.
There was a clump of sequins hanging off the bust of the dress which I pointed out to the tailor at both of my fittings, and both times she reassured me that all imperfections would be fixed before they shipped it. Well, when I unwrapped the dress and put it on for my wedding, that same clump of sequins was still hanging off. I contacted both the sales associate who helped me AND the store manager via text (when you call the store it just rings forever -- I have done this multiple times and can almost never get someone on the phone) and both of them ignored me. I would rather have handled this privately but now I feel like I need to warn other people about this store. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
When they are trying to get you to buy the dress they gush over you and make you feel like a VIP... but a soon as they have your money they treat you like complete shit. I wish I had read all the negative reviews before I bought a dress from them. The staff at this store created so much additional stress, and thousands of dollars later the dress was coming apart.
I went with my daughter and her future Mother in law and sister in law to search for the perfect wedding gown. We had the best experience with Kelsi at Pronovias in NYC. She was patient, knowledgeable, and allowed us to see her in her dress in different lighting. She answered all our questions. The selection was excellent and the place was clean and covid precautions made us feel safe. Pronovias also has a calm relaxed vibe.
Thanks to Kelsi we found the perfect dress. We had the perfect experience and we are so grateful. Highly recommend
An absolute NIGHTMARE!!!! Do not get your dress here. I found out the week of my wedding that my dress had been ruined and they only let me pick from their dirty sample dresses AND charged me full price for it. WHATTTTT?! Please don’t get your dress here. The Least they could have done was press the dress and clean it for me. Nope. What a nightmare. I’ll be walking down the aisle in a dirty, wrinkled, sample dress that I still paid full price for. So upsetting.
I selected a Pronovias gown as my wedding dress back in the fall of 2019. I was going for a timeless dress since my wedding wasn't until April of 2021. In late January, I began going for my fittings and was nervous that I wasn't going to like the dress since so much time has passed. I put the dress on and fell in love with my gown all over again. Pronovias did an amazing job with the design of my dress and making it comfortable.
I’m writing this before my final fitting which they called to reschedule like every other one of my appointments. So far I have been very happy with the dress, the seamstress and the experience of trying on and picking the dress, despite covid. Everything else has been very negative. My first fitting my grandmother came into town, I called to confirm my appointment days ahead of time and got a confirmation email, but the night before the fitting at 5:30pm Pronovias called and told us the dress is stuck in customs. These things happen especially with the virus but to confirm the appointment with no dress and wait until the last moment is unacceptable. They repeatedly blamed the lack of communication on the time difference with Spain which is a comical excuse. Apparently they made an appointment without checking with me for the following week, once again they call the night before and say the dress is still in transit, didn’t matter because I wasn’t in town but still odd they would do that. Fast forward about two weeks still no dress, I call periodically to check and get told the dress is still in transit, eventually I start asking about tracking numbers and various procedures when a dress is lost. Mind you during this period of time my dress was discontinued so if it’s lost there wasn’t a way to get another one made. At this point I start looking for another dress which I will have to buy off the rack somewhere since we are about 2 months away from my wedding during a pandemic and I am not a sample size so it was stressful. Pronovias was no help and wouldn’t even discuss alternatives, before we called Amex for a refund we decided to try to speak to Pronovais one more time. On this final call we got the right person on the phone who finally went to check the stockroom, turns out a the dress was there the whole time and had been mislabeled. Pronovias had no idea where the dress was and had lied about it being in transit and stuck in customs. I decide to let it go and just move on, I had the dress I wanted. I show up for the first fitting and it goes well but no acknowledgement of the massive screw up, no discount on the additional $300 in alterations or the veil. Second fitting they call me the night before and tell me my seamstress has off and asks me to reschedule. The appointment was booked for weeks their scheduling error isn’t my problem, these things happen but it’s one screwup after another. The dress fits but we are still a few weeks out so we decided to have a final fitting. Now it’s the week before my wedding and they ask to change my appointment again because the seamstress is off. I would prefer to work with the same seamstress but I do not have time to reschedule the week before my wedding. I don’t live in the city, all these appointments were large chunks of time in the middle of the week that I had taken off work. The communication terrible, customer service terrible, I’m happy with the product BUT I’m not sure if it is worth my time and the stress especially while trying to plan a wedding during a pandemic.
Absolutely horrible!
If you want to purchase your wedding dress from this store, think twice! You are more likely to get a dress in wrong size right before your wedding.
I purchased 4 dresses from this store. I ordered sized 2 and it comes with sized 8. Disappointed! Then, I get a call say they can give me a size 6 and offer 10% off. Seriously, are you kidding me? It's like I order a size 10 shoes, then you send me size 8 and say 10% is enough.
No more to say. Just, be aware!
SAVE YOURSELF THE TEARS, HEADACHE AND HEARTACHE, buy a dress from anywhere else! There are so many other great designers available who care about how they treat their customers. I have no doubt every negative review on google is 100% accurate after my year and a half long troubles with this store and company.
They ruined the dress I had to settle on after messing up the first order. And overall made the experience of getting a wedding dress an absolute nightmare. My wedding was postponed 2 weeks before it’s original date and choosing a dress from them was and continues to be the worst experience of all. Their customer service will not help and they will drag you along endlessly instead of resolving the issues.
The dresses at Pronovias are beautiful and the people there are nice, but the communication between staff is unacceptable. My consultant, Erin, was incredibly in tuned with my vision and did not pressure me into trying something on that I wasn’t interested in. She listened to what I wanted and made my experience fun and enjoyable. The seamstresses were also extremely talented and altered my dress to fit me like a glove, however, my veil did break on my wedding day because the seams on the comb came undone. I also had some issues with appointments. During one of my visits, there was a miscommunication between the consultant, seamstress and store regarding my appointment time. My mom, sister and I took time off work to go to the appointment, but when we arrived at the store, the front desk had no record of the appointment being made. Then after waiting a long time, the seamstress said that the dress wasn’t ready, so we had to leave empty-handed. It was a huge inconvenience and incredibly frustrating because we live an hour outside of the city and had to rearrange our schedules just to leave with nothing. The manager of the store, Trianna, was very apologetic and did seem genuine in wanting to make things right, so to accommodate us, they gave us an additional appointment before store hours, but when we arrived, the doorman was very rude and would not let us in. We understood that he was just doing his job, but the store should’ve informed him of our early appointment. I really did love my wedding dress, but the miscommunication and experience I had at the store could have been avoided.
I said yes to the dress, and it was the best experience ever! I have to say I chose my dress and bridal salon before reading any reviews because I fell in love with a particular dress that I had seen online. After reading the reviews for Pronovias, I was definitely a little nervous that this was the place I chose because the reviews were awful. Well, it taught me not to believe everything you read because they couldn’t have been more wrong! I was at their flagship store in New York 4 separate times for my initial try-on, and then 3 fitting appointments. Each time, I was in and out. They took me on time for all of my appointments, and couldn’t have been more helpful with ordering my dress and setting up future fittings. Mu dress arrived on time, even in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. My seamstress, Mauriz, was the sweetest lady and did a fantastic job altering my dress. She even made me a matching face mask from the extra fabric. Clara, the manager was amazing and very knowledgeable about all things bridal. Overall it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend getting your dress here!
I found my DRESS exactly 6 months before my then wedding date. I tried on a few with Hannah when I fell in love with one in particular. She assured me the dress would arrive in time which it did. I I had to reschedule my wedding due to the pandemic, as so many people did, but I was able to reschedule my fittings and have my dress ready for the new date. I met with seamstress Elaine who was so kind, professional and reassuring. She is the best and really knew the details of Pronovias dresses. I love my dress and received so many compliments on it throughout the whole day.
The most unprofessional company from store level to their customer service sales reps I have ever witnessed in my life! ATTENTION BRIDES: if your hope is to get a Pronovias dress for your wedding, I would highly recommend going to any other bridal store. Pronovias sells their dresses at their store locations for a significantly higher price that any other bridal store! You can take these dresses to any seamstress and they will be able to match the lace no problem! I had the unfortunate experience of also being insulted by sales rep Marelen Salas via email over the incompetence of their store! I would highly suggest going to a different bridal boutique! I did end up purchasing a Pronovias dress at a much better bridal boutique. Even if you have an appointment scheduled, they will treat you as if you are a walk in. Just do yourself a favor and before you ruin your whole bridal dress shopping experience Just go anywhere else
I am deeply disappointed with the way Pronovias handled the dress process with me during the COVID crisis. The response rate via email was dismal. While I completely understand that my first fitting appointment needed to move because of NYC re-opening timelines, I had to be the one to reach out to the Pronovias team to ask whether the appointment was happening. When I asked for a refund for the dress I was told you could hold it for a year or I could lose the deposit, despite the fact that my wedding was still happening on August 1. They essentially held my dress hostage. I will never use this company again and will do my part to ensure anyone I ever interact with never uses your company. Pronovias is nothing but a money hungry organization that in a time of crisis was unresponsive, rude, and lacked empathy for the stress their clientele was going through.
After seeing other reviews I am really worried about my dress. For me, the appointments were very pleasant. The post-appointment customer service was the opposite.
I ordered my dress in January and the first fitting was scheduled in June, delivery two days before the wedding in September.
The Covid-19 pandemic hit and NYC has been in lockdown since March. Having heard nothing and seeing that the City will start to reopen, I reached out to Pronovias. I asked whether I needed to reschedule the first fitting (which was two days away) and whether they would deliver the dress on time. I got a response telling me that I can reschedule it to end of July (leaving 6 weeks between first fitting and the wedding).
Worried that time is tight, I asked again whether the dress will be ready on time. I got no response.
After a week, I was upset at the lack of response and worried that they were avoiding to answer because they could not get it done in time.
I wrote again to the company, requesting to cancel the order this time and finally got a response! The email said I cannot cancel, or return, or receive any refund. But they finally told me that their production and logistic teams were operating during the pandemic and they would make sure to give me the dress on time. (I wonder how the world was in lockdown yet they continued with production but they said it, so it must be true, right?)
The tone of the email was polite yet condescending. Honestly, I would not recommend Pronovias. I have not seen my dress so I cannot speak about the quality. But the service post-ordering was very bad. I hope I can get married in the wedding dress but I will start looking for a backup.
Terrible experience. Two appointments that were both unpleasant and rushed.
I was very happy with the end result of my gown. However, if you want a certain level of attention from a bridal shop, don’t except it here. Each time I went for a fitting or alterations, I was met by different staff members, so there was no consistency. Also, twice I was given appointments over the phone which were never recorded. There was a wait time for all appointments, even to take my finished dress home. On one occasion, all of the other customers were greeted with champagne except for my sister and myself, so we felt left out. Unfortunately the customer service does not match the beauty of the gowns.
Think twice before purchasing a dress here and more importantly, having it altered here. My daughter purchased her wedding dress and I purchased my mother of the bride dress at the NYC salon. Both dresses were beautiful, however, each time we went in for fittings we always felt rushed. At our final fitting/pick-up, staff wanted to just give us our dresses without the opportunity to try them on one last time. (We refused this and were able to try them on). The day of my daughter’s wedding, I put my dress on and when I bent down to put my shoes on, the right side bodice seam of the dress split open! Upsetting, to say the least!! Fortunately, our bridal planner was there and had some strong needle and thread and was able to sew it for me. Not what I expected after paying $400 for alterations! When I called Pronovias to speak to a manager about what happened, I was told no one was available and I was given an email address. I emailed a manager a week ago and have yet to receive a response. Extremely disappointed in the workmanship and level of customer service provided by this company.
Now that I have my dress in my hands I wanted to review pronovias NYC flagship. I had an AWFUL experience from the beginning in January when I went to pick out my dress. I found it at kleinfelds but hated the factory feeling the store had so I went to pronovias to purchase the dress from the designer. They stuck me in a corner, didn’t offer me or my bridal party anything to drink and served us warm champagne because we asked for it after I said “yes.” I wanted my dress ordered lined because it was sheer and they said no problem, I even called the store the next week to confirm. Dress came in sometime in the beginning of July and that’s when I had my first dress fitting. The dress came unlined so it was wrong and they told me it was too late to order another dress but they promised it was an easy fix. I scheduled my next fitting for a few weeks later and they call me 30 minutes before my fitting to tell me that they double booked me and I should reschedule. I was already in the city so I told them I would see another seamstress. I was expecting my dress to be lined and they did nothing except take up the length a little. They told me they couldn’t line until it was fitted which I understood and was told it would be done the next time I go in. A few weeks go by and I go to another fitting to find the dress still is not lined but they put white fabric over some of the boning in the bodice. I schedule yet another fitting (#4 if you lost track) 2 weeks later and the dress had no work done. I spoke to the director and he was very apologetic and told me he would take 10% off the alterations (which were $800). He said the dress would be done in a few weeks but I was adamant about coming in the following week. So I went last night to my final fitting and the lining still was not done. I can’t make this up. I spoke with the other director this time and she said they would fix it for the next fitting but I sat in the lobby and wouldn’t leave until it was done and the dress was in my hands because I am getting married in 2 weeks. I sat in that lobby for 2 hours. They ended up refunding all of my alterations but the whole experience was horrible. I had to take my dress to another seamstress to fix what they had done. They have beautiful dresses but I would not recommend anyone getting their dress from pronovias NYC.
I had such a hard time finding my wedding dress, I think I went to maybe 14 different appointments. I finally found what I was looking for at Pronovias. The staff helping me with the appointment was extremely friendly and pretty helpful. I think their selection is really great and they can serve a breadth of price ranges and the dresses are made really well. I had the best experience with my seamstress Julie. She was so incredibly thorough and really knew what needed to be done to make the dress fit me. I did have an issue with pickup that was pretty unfortunate. I showed up to try on the dress one last time and pick it up the day I was leaving for my wedding and I was told they were running behind. Upon waiting and pressing the staff for a reason, they vaugley blamed it on Julie being late that day. An hour after my appointment time I was finally able to try on my dress and Julie explained to me they had booked another bride right before my appointment time and that she had gone over. I just think the situation was very mismanaged. Another bride shouldn’t have been booked so close to my appointment. If she was going over her allotted appointment time, they should have made her wait as her wedding was not for months and months and I needed to leave for mine…..and for the seamstress manager to blame it all on Julie….just not great. At one of my earlier appointments I saw another bride have difficult with her dress pick up….they couldn’t find her dress…she was also trying to leave that day for her wedding. Everything up until my pick up was great, but the pick up process…be forewarned!
Loved my wedding dress! ❤️
I couldn’t have been happier with my experience here. The girl who helped me pick out my dress was very helpful in finding the perfect dress for me. Elaine did my alterations and she was wonderful! I had 3 fittings with her and my dress fit perfectly the day of the wedding
SEAMSTRESS STREAKED BLOOD ON MY GOWN - READ ON:
Please, Please, Please order a Pronovias dress but avoid the flagship location in midtown Manhattan. I was not one of the small, pushy, bridal boutique kind of brides. So, I found the huge, glamourous flagship store very attractive because they do tons of business and don’t push you into anything. I liked the big setting. But what happens with a big setting is that you get lost and this is what happened to me:
Last fitting - I scheduled a month in advance and brought my whole family with me to “learn to tie the bustle and take the dress home.” All appointments scheduled way in advance. NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE ON THE DRESS. Nothing. I was forced to come back 1 week later right before my wedding. Extremely stressful.
Coming back right before my wedding - NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE, AGAIN. Sat in waiting room for 45 minutes while manager falsely chatted me up. Seamstress arrived sweating and thanking me for giving her “more time.”
After taking dress home - Opened the bag. Seamstress had pricked her finger and streaked BLOOD DOWN THE FRONT OF MY GOWN. 4 days before my wedding, forced to find out of town dry cleaners and pay 300 bill. Then noticed, garnet was SNAGGED on the lower part of the dress. Didn’t bother fixing it because blood was main concern. Total mess. Contacted store. All they did was apologize and pay for the dry cleaning.
Contacted corporate after wedding - Asked for a full refund on dress because they RUINED the week before my wedding with stress and dry cleaning bills and drama. They absolutely refused to refund me (It was only 1700) and said they did enough paying the dry cleaning bill.
So, get your Pronovias dress at one of the many NYC shops, not the flagship. TOTAL NIGHTMARE. I should be suing them, to be honest.
Trianna was great in helping me find my dress and Grace was amazing tailoring my dress to be exactly what i wanted. Highly recommend.
I went to a few bridal places and every dress I liked was a Pronovias so I decided to take a trip to New York to visit their flagship store. I was so excited thinking I was going to be able to try on all the dresses I’ve seen on the website. When I arrived my sales associate asked me what I was looking for in a dress I told her sleeves and ballgown or a-line. Once we were settled she allowed me to pick out some dresses. I was so disappointed in their selection. There was about 5 dresses I could try on with sleeves in the style I was looking for. I have been to smaller boutiques who had more of a selection of Pronovias long sleeve dresses then they had. All the pictures I showed my associate they didn’t have. My associate was very nice and helpful but needless to say I walked out without a dress.
Picking the dress was wonderful. I found a great dress. (Trianna is fantastic!!)
However, the tailoring experience was awful. I know of others who had great experience so I think it's hit or miss. I had Maria and she was really rude and harsh, and made the process very stressful. She even snapped at me and my mother when we asked for her opinion. My dress ended up okay, but not as good as it could have been if the seamstress had been kind and listened.
I wish I listened to the reviews, they absolutely RUINED my bridal moment and it was such a stressful and terrible process going for my fittings. The dresses are absolutely beautiful and with every boutique I went to, I was always drawn to them. Seemed like it made sense to get a dress directly with them, but once they make the sale, the service significantly declined. They tried to shuffle my seamstress around and pushed me to do them so late that at the end, when my dress still needed adjustments, there was literally no time to do it. On top of that, beading was missing from the dress. Do yourself a favor and find the dress you love there and just get it or alter it elsewhere. NIGHTMARE!
Ladies, PLEASE read this and save your time/energy. I wish I would have. I am not one to leave harsh reviews BUT I know what its like to be a bride and go through all the planning/work/emotions (some of which could be prevented). The designer itself is AMAZING. I LOVED my dress. I recommend you find a pronovias dress at a boutique but NOT the flagship store in NYC. I did 4 total fittings to finally go in the "suppose" last day of my fitting and take my dress home but have to deal with mean-ugly attitude from the staff. Apparently my 4th fitting wasn't suppose to be my last (this was 15 days prior to wedding day + I live in Maryland) although my mother, grandma and myself are all witnesses that we WERE told this would be our last fitting. The staff has poooor poor customer service. They basically argued with me that they never said that. Whenever I would try to call the store, front desk was rude and unhelpful. Ladies, please don't go through everything I did. I vouch for the dress; its beautiful! but not the flagship location. I wish you the most beautiful, helpful and smooth bridal dress experience. xoxo
Obsessed with my dress but it was very heavy (a lot of beading) so I found myself pulling it up a lot by the end of the night. Got my dress from the flagship store so 4 trips into NYC wasn’t the most convenient but I loved my dress so it was worth it in the end. Before getting my dress from Pronovias I read some negative reviews about the alterations department, however, Grace did an AMAZING job with alterations - she listened to every concern I had and made me feel so beautiful in my dress! Highly recommend!
Pronovias was the only vendor I had issues with during my wedding planning process. Due to TWO mishaps by Pronovias, I had to switch my gown less than two months away from my wedding date!! To put it lightly, the errors were incredibly stressful to deal with and I was left scrambling trying to find another style that I liked. The staff was, however, accommodating after I had expressed my extreme displeasure. On the plus side, Pronovias has a wide variety of styles, fabrics, embellishments, etc. and you can customize your gown (for a fee) if you wanted to. The dresses are reasonably priced for wedding gowns. I would say they’re a step above David’s Bridal in terms of budget but are much better quality. Given my issues with the New York flagship store, I would highly recommend their dresses but would strongly encourage you to buy them at another retailer!
The one word I can think of to describe how my experience with Pronovias has been is "defeating." The level of incompetence in this store from an alterations perspective has been absolutely staggering.
I'm going into my wedding weekend feeling down and brow-beaten as a result of 4 botched fittings with very little recourse, attention or customer service. Since my first fitting, I've had to deal with a variety representatives in the store who first ordered the dress in the wrong color (after waiting a year for delivery). Next, there were extended debates over whether or not they could alter the dress to my specifications - with conflicting viewpoints from various representatives in the same store. Hourlong+ wait times, arguments on the phone, reschedules, missed deadlines - I'm honestly stunned by how poor the experience was, given the high cost of the dress. For my final fitting (which should have happened weeks ago, but we've had to schedule ADDITIONAL fittings due to the inability to alter correctly) the dress finally fit well enough - but the buttons down the back were in absolute disarray. I had to point this out to the seamstress, I had to request to speak to the floor manager for the 3rd time, had to wait another hour for a fit...net/net, I've had to specifically argue for and direct every single piece of this process, and it's frankly, it's been exhausting. I wish I could have trusted a set of what I believed to be professionals to handle this for me, but it sadly wasn't the case.
If you find yourself looking to purchase a Pronovias gown, buy elsewhere! There are many bridal stores in Manhattan as well as nationwide that carry designs by Pronovias - stay as far away from the alterations department as you can, and save yourself hours of stress and sadness.
Loved my entire experience here! My sales woman, Tanya, was right on point and chose dresses for me that fit my body. I ended up with a dress that I would never have thought was for my body type, and it was great! The dress had to have some major alterations, and I was terrified. When it was time for my first fitting, I lost 30 lbs since ordering the dress, originally it didn't even come in the size that I needed, so I had to order a size smaller. the work that had to be done was out of control, when i went back for my first fitting (Navina) did everything plus more! She applied more lace to cover the areas I wasn't comfortable with- she did this on her own and it was AMAZING! the second fitting only needed minor adjustments, I couldn't be happier! My dress bustle held up all night, I was concerned since the beading on the train made it quite heavy and I was super comfortable throughout the entire day and night. I honestly think the cost of alterations was so minor based on how much work was done. I will recommend them to anyone anytime! Thank You for making me look beautiful on my special day ♥
To all brides searching for their wedding dress -
Do NOT waste your time at the Pronovias Flagship store in New York City - from start to finish my entire experience was disappointing and extremely underwhelming.
I started my dress journey like all brides to be- confused by the vast terminology and unsure what style or fabric I would like best. I quickly learned that a lace top with crepe bottom in an A line fit was my dream, hence how I ended up obsessing over the Pronovias dresses - one in particular, Drenina.
After trying many bridals shops in my area in hopes someone would have the Drenina, I learned that the dress isn't apart of Pronovias rental program, which left Pronovias' Flagship in Manhattan as my only choice.
When I contacted Pronoivas by phone they told me they did indeed have the Drenina at their NYC location. My mother, sister and I instantly changed our schedules and spent the money to make the trip from Virginia to NYC to their store in order to see the Drenina. I made an appointment and when completing the questionnaire I made it very clear that the Drenina was my #1 dress that I was most interested in trying on.
Despite my efforts prior to my appointment, when I was I introduced to my 'personal adviser' and shared my excitement to finally try on the Drenina, I was instantly told that they would have to 'check' to see if they had this dress in their inventory. There was no acknowledgement of my requests for this particular dress nearly a month ahead of my appointment per the request of Pronovias themselves. At that moment I got a pit in my stomach, but when she came back she mentioned nothing about there being an issue. I proceeded to try on the first dress she had selected for me but it was nothing like the Drenina, so I asked to try on the Drenina and that is when I was informed it is at an "off site location" and not possible for me to try on today.
As you can imagine, it was extremely upsetting and frustrating. I called in advance to confirm they had the dress and I communicated very clearly in my email that this was THE dress I had to try on. I understand it was not the advisers fault, but her not acknowledging or addressing the issue/offering some resolution to the fact that they did not have the dress from the beginning is unprofessional. She showed no empathy or desire to meet my, the clients, expectations. Plus she couldn't even provide similar alternatives for me to try on. It was horrible and I quickly wanted to leave the cold and unfriendly environment that Pronovias offered. It was a great disappointment and I would not recommend any bride to waste their time and money to travel to the flagship store in NYC in search of finding their wedding dress because despite their claim that they can and will, Pronovias cannot provide it for you.
*WARNING* This store is not where you want to buy your dress! I truly believe this store is not concerned with selling dresses because they made it so miserable and difficult to 1) get an appointment and 2) the appointment was terrible! The sales associate was less than helpful (brought me two dresses when I said I was open to anything) and the store was littered with old coffee cups and water glasses from previous clients. The dresses are beautiful and very well priced but do yourself a seek the designer out at another salon!
Bought my gown here and after 5 fittings was so happy about how it turned out in the end. I told my seamstress I was concerned about the fact that it was not tight on my waist but she said it should be no problem. Before I even got to church the buttons in the back of my dress unbottoned and this was the problem throughout the whole day. I was so annoyed. After the 2nd dance of the night dress ripped in the arm pit, a huge rip! After the 4th the back of the dress ripped and to add to that the dress stretched out throughout the day that it was so long I had to hold it for every dance and kept pulling it up . A seamstress should take all this into account. I paid way too much for this dress for it to rip in every place possible. Save yourself the stress and money. Horrible quality, overpriced alterations and overall a nightmare.
My dress was stunning but I wouldn’t advise anyone to purchase their Pronovias gown here. As similar reviews stated - the alterations were a nightmare. I went back so many times and each time my mom and I were the ones advising the seamstress of solutions to some of the problem we were having. My planning of my wedding was so easy - unfortunately this was the one downfall of my wedding planning experience. The ladies who were in charge of making my dress perfect didn’t seem to care - one suggested I lose weight to make it fit better. My dress wound up looking great but wouldn’t stay up over km boobs so I was that girl at her wedding constantly pulling her dress up. The ladies knew this was my concern but like of told me ‘ it is why it I”. Buy your pronovias gown at Kleinfeld or one of the many other boutiques. The only amazing this about this salon is tRiann - the co manger. If you go you must eye her. He is truly. Gem be greg t why he doe!
DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR DRESS AT PRONOVIAS. Not only was my experience getting my dress tailored at Pronovias absolutely HORRIBLE, but the fit of the dress on the day of the wedding was a huge PROBLEM. I spent over 25 hours and at least 6 appointments getting my dress tailored. In the end, they were not able to figure out a way to keep my strapless dress on my body (it kept slipping below my breasts). As a result, they had to add a strap and multiple interior bands to keep me covered. On the day of the wedding, the bands were so tight I couldn't eat (literally) and my neck was severely bruised as the strap was literally holding the entire dress up and wasn't designed to hold that much weight.
The store management, especially Sarah, made the experience worse. Not only did she take over 4 weeks to call me back, she failed to help alleviate the problems during the tailoring. I had seen some bad reviews before I bought my dress and talked to her. She explained the steps the store took to address them. Those steps were not nearly enough -- do not have confidence that the experience will be better for you.
Wish I had read some of the other reviews here prior to purchasing my dress. I have had 4 fittings. On the final fourth fitting they said it might need a few minor adjustments but the dress would be done and I could take home. Was at the store for 3 hours for not so minor alterations to be done. The alterations department of Pronovias is horrific. I had a different seamstress every single time I had a fitting. They didn't know what the other person had done to the dress or why they'd done what they did. One seamstress on the first fitting took boning out. On the second fitting the new seamstress who helped kept saying "I don't know why she took the boning out. You need it."
Also, every time I had a fitting I waited at least 45 minutes before the dress was brought up, even when I had a 10am appointment and was the first one of the day.
Each time I had a fitting there was another bride complaining about the alterations.
Sucks the customer service and alterations department sucks because Pronovias has beautiful dressses but don't bother coming here. Stressful experience every single time.
The dresses are beautiful but buyer beware! I ordered a dress from the 2018 Atelier line in April 2017 - my wedding is end of September 2017. They warted me that I might be short of time but that it should be OK. They took my measurements and wrote down specific requests about how high I wanted the "V" hem between the legs to go, etc. As this is the Atelier line, i.e. their more expensive "couture" line - I was expecting high end results. One month later my dress arrives with a tag that says "size 4." They charged me $4000 and gave me something off the rack - that now needs over $600 worth of tailoring - and not just basic hemming. The whole top of the dress, for example, needs to be completely redone because the boning in the corset sticks through and looks terrible. Not to mention that it is over a foot too long and all my specific requests had been ignored. Why take them down then? When I contacted them about it they were dismissive at best and refused to do anything. Once they got the sale they had very little time for me. What's more - the tailer I ended up taking it to - an amazing woman who specializes in bridal and who is the wife of a work colleague (don't trust their in house tailer they have horrible reviews) - tells me that the material is actually machine washable (i.e. not good quality) and that the "atelier" concept that they sell to people is "a little white lie." I still like the dress but was hugely disappointed - I was expecting something made to measure, and it definitely wasn't. If I could do it again I wound't go there to be honest. Very sad.
This was by far the most luxurious and well-appointed bridal salon I have ever been to. My sales person was sweet, kind, attentive, and highly knowledgeable of the inventory. I came in for one dress, but I fell in love with a pick from her and I was instantly in love. Pronovias dresses are the most romantic and show-stopping dresses I have ever seen. Not to mention the best lace. I highly recommend to this store to anyone looking for a luxury experience with a professional staff and beautiful dresses.
I just found my dress today. The entire experience was amazing. Erica treated me like a princess and catered to exactly my style. I recommend Pronovias to all brides.
I could have dealt with the fact that I had to go in five times for fittings, though it took hours each time to get there. I could have even dealt with the hours I waited once I got there for someone to bring my dress up for alterations (they were still working on the dress...) What I cannot even dream of ever getting over is the lack of communication from the front-of-house staff and managers. After having met the store director at a previous appointment (because of an issue with my dress) she did not even so much as glance in my direction. She could have been welcoming or reassuring, but instead she avoided eye contact and LEFT FOR THE DAY while there were still clients waiting for dresses to be FIXED. Meanwhile, the people who sit at the front desk can hear how agitated all of the customers are getting. The issues are obviously not their fault, but perhaps they could have come over and checked on us, gone downstairs more frequently for alterations updates, or maybe even offered to get us coffee? As I sat for five and a half hours, I saw at least one bride remove her dress from the store to be worked on elsewhere (because no work had been done since her previous appointment), two brides who had flown in from other countries who were also forced to wait for hours though they were on-time for their appointments, and multiple people unhappy with the work that was done (or not done, for that matter.) I think the alterations department is very talented, but overbooked. This isn't fair to them or to the brides. In the end, we were refunded our alterations fee, but this does not make up for the HORRIFIC experience. By this last visit, I had anxiety for days before my appointment, because I never knew what state my dress would be in. Though I was constantly reassured over the phone that I had "plenty of time" for these alterations, in the end we were really down to the wire because of this store's poor management. Pronovias Flagship - a busy wedding season should NOT have an affect on my personal dress experience. Having a company based in Barcelona is NOT an excuse for your poor store infrastructure in New York. An overbooked salon is NOT an excuse for poor customer service. You have been the only stressful part of my wedding experience.
WORST PLACE EVER. If I could give it zero stars I would. I got my dress here and I've already been back for FOUR alternations. The last time I went in NOTHING was changed on the dress. My wedding is less than two weeks away. They tell me people are going to call me but nobody ever does. They could care less. When I tell them that this is a mess they agree and say that they are overwhelmed and that they understand. Not helpful. I am literally picking up my dress today and taking it to another tailor because I can't trust them to get it done. It has been such a stress with less than 2 weeks to go and a dress that is a complete disaster. When I told them I was going to pick up the dress and take it elsewhere they could have cared less. CLASSY!
BE AWARE!! Great place to buy your dress - but pick it up and go someplace else for alterations!!! They were always three hours behind schedule and had done nothing to the dress since the last appointment!! Worst part is the employees are so used to disgruntled customers they could care less. We finally just left with the dress and will be taking it to a local tailor to clean up the hack job they did.
I loved my dress. I was so happy with how it turned out. It was right in my budget and perfectly me!
My alteration lady, Elaine, was the nicest person around and was so happy to work with her.
Wedding dress Couture Collection costing 6,000 euros ordered a year before. The street Tronchet Paris 8th Pronovias store did not even deign to look at the quality of the dress or accessories and inform about what to take with me for the next steps of fitting. Result: the dress showed to me in July has HOLES EVERYWHERE and is LADDERED! And thay have no SHAME. The service is terrible, unfriendly, sellers are not to be trusted, it is a NIGHTMARE. I was told by phone that my dress was about to be made to my measurements, which is completely impossible because they have not taken them. The sellers are not aware of anything and do not know how to manage their store. My wedding is taking place on September the 3rd and they will receive the dress August 16th..... GROSS !!!! They will therefore have to make alterations in 'express' and given the quality of their performance that does not go together with "cleanliness, professionalism and expertise." The dresses are beautiful but believe me you will find one elsewhere as well, your best ally is a good seamstress, so order custom and abroad! If you want the coordinates, my dressmaker is a former chief of Pronovias shop who thought the brand was doing a terrible job offering a really poor quality of work on splendid dresses. So contact me girls if you need her i'll give you her phone nb ;)) PS: I am living in France and the shop concerned is Tronchet Paris 75008
I am over the moon HAPPY! about my experience with Pronovias.
First off, the entrance lobby is stunning! Many screens with wedding dresses on display, several tables where you can sit with your bridal party and wait for your vendor and a huge book on it, where you can see their many gorgeous wedding dresses. Needless to say, I was happy to wait there.
Then, Kim comes along, super friendly and inviting, she was the vendor that would help me find my dress.
She takes us up to the third floor, and again, absolutely STUNNING place to try on my dresses. She had all of the dresses I wanted to try on. The third dress I tried on was THE ONE! and Kim was super helpful about letting me see the big picture. There was a bouquet of flowers and a beautiful veil she let me borrow to see the big picture and make sure this is what I wanted.
Again, super sweet, super helpful and very professional.
We popped the champagne, celebrated and then gave me all the information on payments. something I loved was that she told me to take extra time to read the contract I was signing. I always appreciate not being rushed or pressured into anything.
Bottom line, GO to this flagship for the full bridal beautiful experience. It made my day!
Pronovias made shopping for my gown a happy bridal memory. The store is beautiful, the service is prompt and they provide each bride and her accompanying party, plenty of space, privacy and time to make dress decisions. My consultant worked with me for over an hour to find my perfect dress.
The alteration experience was not as good. They were pleasant but by no means perfectionists. I really needed to bring another person with me to each of those appointments to double check how everything looked and to make suggestions. My experience was that unless you question something or ask for a specific alteration they are all too comfortable letting things slide. Too bad since they have such beautiful dresses.
Bought a dress from a sample sale. Great deal! Service was alright. Sales people have a little attitude.
I loved loved loved my dress from Pronovias! It was a show stopper for sure... but the hassle of actually getting the dress after I purchased it was a nightmare. I had to go in 4 times to get the dress to fit me, the seamstress was awful...everytime I would go in something would be wrong or something didnt fit. it was one day before my wedding and I was ready to take the dress home.. and they forgot to add buttons down the back of my dress that i had specificlaly asked for and paid for. so they did a so-so job throwing them as fast as they could.
Not to mentioned when I was checking out I realized they never gave me my veil. what a disaster!!!! I loved my dress but would never go back there to buy it!
I tried on a lot of dresses in my hunt for THE perfect dress for my wedding day. Turns out it was the first dress I ever tried on that I went with- I didn't think it could be possible, but it ended up being the absolute perfect dress. Rhina, the sales worker, was adorable and the seamstress was efficient and lovely. The day of my wedding, I could not believe the reactions I was getting from my dress- people loved it! I felt like a movie star and I'm so thankful to Pronovia's for carrying my perfect, dream dress.
The team at Pronovias was extremely professional and helpful. The experience was unforgettable and they helped to customize my dream wedding dress.
I really liked my dress and was generally pleased with my experience.
I went to Pronovias knowing that I loved their dresses and style! I went with my mom, grandma, step mom and mother in law to a sample sale and highly recommend if you know you love these gorgeous Spanish dresses that you do the same! I saved over $1000 on the perfect dress! Everyone at my wedding was amazed at how gorgeous my dress was and kept saying "you can't get a dress like that around here!"
I loved the entire process of picking our my dress here. The woman was attentive and brought me dresses I didn't think would work for me but they were gorgeous. I ended up getting the dress I tried on 1st. They were accommodating and I was able get my dress tailored exactly the way I wanted it. I went through 3 fittings and came out with the perfect gown. Can't say enough about this place!!
I loved my dress. I found my experience in the Pronovias store to be FAR more pleasant than in other Manhattan stores (i.e. Kleinfelds). Overall I'd recommend checking out their gowns with one caveat -- the alterations were terrible. The seamstress needed a lot of oversight. They didn't get it right on the first or second try. If there was more time before my wedding I probably would have done A LOT more work on the gown because the initial alterations were that bad -- which is a shame because it was a beautiful gown at a relatively reasonable price.
When it came time for me to shop for the perfect wedding gown, I knew that Pronovias was top on my list. The reason for this was I had always dreamed of wearing a lace wedding gown, and Pronovias is well known for their beautiful lace gowns. I went to Pronovias with my mother and we met with Rhina, my bridal consultant. I told Rhina the type of wedding gown I was looking for. Rhina was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. She chose several gowns for me to try on. The last gown was my dream dress. Rhina also put on the most beautiful veil I had ever seen. I just loved them both. I knew I had found the perfect gown and veil, but, I had an appointment the following week at Kleinfeld's and wanted to keep my options open. I told Rhina about this appointment, and she was very understanding and did not pressure me into ordering the dress and veil. I knew in my heart I would be back to order the dress. I did go to my appointment at Kleinfeld, but, I did not find a dress that I really loved. I went back to Pronovias and ordered my gown and veil. Rhina was amazing! She has a really good eye in finding the perfect dress and made the exerpience so wonderful for me. When I went for my first fitting, I met with Elise. Elise was so friendly. She made my first fitting so much fun. I had a couple of more fittings and the entire staff at Pronvias was wonderful. I had a fantastic experience at Pronvias. I received so many compliments on my wedding day. Many of my guests told me they had never seen such a beautiful gown and veil. I totally agree! If you are looking for your dream wedding gown, you have to go to Pronovias. You will not regret it.
I couldn't have been happier with my dress from Pronovias! Sarah was such a pleasure to work with, and made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. Although the alteration process took a little more time that I had expected, the dress came out PERFECTLY. Pronovias is a beautiful store, and everyone who works there is always pleasant and helpful.
I had a great experience at Pronovias! The sales associate was helpful and had some great ideas, and the tailor took a lot of time to make sure the dress fit perfectly. The entire experience was fun and pleasant, and it was easy to stay in my budget. No fake gushing and aweing by the staff, no cheap sparkling wine, just a really nice day with some genuine, informed people who worked hard to make sure I looked great at my wedding.
