My daughter and son in law had their ceremony and reception at the Prospect House in March. Everyone was extremely helpful through months of preparing. Emails were returned and questions were answered quickly, It made the planning easy and seamless. The venue was just perfect in every way and the day was magical. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding. Book in advance too!

The Prospect House gave us the most perfect wedding day we could have imagined! Both of us are in our late 40’s and both retired Army so we had a very high expectation for planning and Annie (the Plannie) and the entire Prospect House team knocked it out of the park. The venue itself in the beautiful Texas Hill Country just cannot be beaten. Every aspect was planned flawlessly but not to the point where anything felt “canned” the Team was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and fun to work with! We arrived at the site and had no worries whatsoever. The catering, the flowers, the officiant, the music, the guests, the scenery and most importantly the day executed to such a level of proficiency that there is no better place to have your perfect day! I absolutely recommend the Prospect House and their staff to anyone. They cannot be beaten!

I worked directly with Katy and Lucy through my planning process, and they were so kind, professional, and unbelievably helpful. They thought through every detail, kept things running seamlessly, and made us feel so supported throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, I felt completely at ease knowing we were in the best hands.

tacular job of handling little bits that come up on the day of. Everyone has been complementing us on how smoothly and perfectly everything went, but the prospect house team deserves all the credit- we never once had to think about any single thing regarding logistics, timeline, planning, setup or teardown on the day-of. We got whisked away, waited on, and cared for so nicely by their team (as did our guests) and it was truly perfect. We kept waiting for something to inevitably go wrong but it never did.
The venue is of course very nice, and makes for some special pictures, but the team really did a great job of handling things and making the whole production run smoothly.

nywhere else. Working with these women was one of the most meaningful parts of our wedding experience, and I am honestly so sad the wedding is over because it also meant saying goodbye to working so closely with them.
From the very first moment I met Katy at an open house, I knew we were in the best hands. She walked with us through every step of the planning and design process and brought our vision to life in a way that felt so intentional, thoughtful, and deeply personal. Seeing our design board come to life on the wedding day was emotional in the best way. The subtle Halloween touches, the autumn color palette, and every little detail reflected us so perfectly. It felt like they truly knew us and cared about telling our story.
These gals were so incredible and made everything feel organized, calm, and seamless. Together, they supported us in ways that went far beyond logistics. They welcomed my family with open arms, made us feel completely at ease, and created an environment filled with trust, kindness, and genuine connection. We never felt like “just another couple.” We felt cared for, celebrated, and loved.
Katy and Lucy poured their hearts into our wedding day, and it showed in every single moment. They are the kind of people you feel grateful to have met, not just hired. you I didn’t have one SINGLE worry the day of, I truly mean it! Katy was incredibly on top of it and made sure every detail was perfect. She handled all of my annnoying little requests and questions with not one ounce of annoyance (and I had a lot!) and that truly goes such a long way! Even leading up to the wedding day, im super type B, so having her send me check lists and sending me useful information when it comes to planning a wedding made this past year so much easier. I 10000% recommend going with in house planners that are experts with prospect house , I genuinely can’t think of anyone better to plan a wedding than the people who work with the venue every single day, and im so happy I did. I actually cannot thank this team (Katy Vogel and Lucy Stenhouse) enough!!! Not only are they amazing at their jobs but they’re the sweetest and most enjoyable people to work with. <3 thank yall so much!

There was never a moment during the planning process where I felt out of the loop or unsure of what I needed to be doing. Every single request I had was not only met, but exceeded in a timely manner. Anything I needed, these ladies were able to offer advice and a solution. They are more than accommodating and made our wedding day the easiest and best day of our lives. The venue is absolutely stunning and the team brought our vision to life perfectly. The perfect balance of modern and Austin Hill Country. I cannot recommend Prospect House more highly.

al tour, I knew we had found our spot. The team was organized and prompt in their communication, which will be very important to you when you're in the midst of wedding planning! I loved the clean beauty of the space - it pulled in the natural elements of the hill country but with modern finishes. The space and abundant light and windows meant you could easily morph it to suit your vision, or leave it as is and it would still be beautiful. Since we were married offsite, we were also able to take advantage of the outdoor lawn space for cocktail hour. This ended up being a huge hit with our guests and looked stunning! The Prospect House team was accommodating in all of our requests and helped us to fit a larger group than we had originally anticipated. I also used their in-house wedding planning service and thoroughly enjoyed working with Katy! It's a huge bonus that she is in-house - she knows the ins and outs of PH. I'm a bit of a control-freak, but I was really able to enjoy our wedding week and day because she had everything completely under control. Thank you to Katy and Prospect House for making my vision come to life! Our wedding day was more wonderful than we could have imagined.

I loved how expansive the getting ready suites were (we had 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen, so we needed the space!) and how the 14-hour venue rental allowed us to be onsite all day to help with decor and to relax. ing), but what made it even more special was their staff and how accommodating they all were. From start to finish, I had such an incredible experience with them.
I was paired with Lucy as my venue coordinator and let me just say - I love that woman!! I genuinely looked forward to our emails and even consider her a friend today who I will continue to keep in touch with. She was so on top of it, so kind, and quick to respond to my *many* questions lol.
My husband’s favorite part of PH was that the space was nicely consolidated (but very roomy) so guests never had to guess where to go. My favorite part was… all of it LOL. The breezeway, the views of the Texas Hill Country, the reception area with the weathervane, the girls getting ready suite! Just all of it. So beautifully built.
If we were to do it all over, I would choose Prospect House over and over again. 10/10 experience.

The space itself is gorgeous, and its recent acquisition has led to several...
improvements. The ceremony area and the view are stunning —even more so in person. The getting-ready areas for the wedding party are modern and stylish, while having enough room to easily accommodate a large party. The reception space is minimalist, clean, and tasteful. We opted for more subdued florals and the natural design of the space easily stands for itself. We also particularly loved the bud wall!
Working with the Prospect House team was great and they were very attentive, helpful, and communicative in every step leading up to the big day. Especially Elizabeth Juarez, who we loved. They worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, making it easy for us to enjoy the day. We even asked to use a caterer that wasn’t a preferred vendor of Prospect House and they readily accommodated us.
Some considerations for this venue based on our experience: The location is relatively far outside of central Austin, so we opted for renting buses to take guests to and from the venue, since we had a large number of out-of-state guests. Also, the central breezeway where (depending on your wedding timeline) guests will likely gather before and after the ceremony is not air-conditioned or heated, so depending on season that could be a challenge. Our date was a little colder than anticipated so we did rent some heaters to help heat the space to make our guests comfortable.
Overall it was a wonderful day and we’re so happy to have chosen Prospect House to host our special day and celebrate with our loved ones.

e saddened to hear that the original owners had sold off. My husband and I were a bit anxious about the new owners and what may have changed - but to our luck, we experienced the most seemless ownership transition and we felt nothing but immense support and over communication throughout the entire process. I have to give a huge shoutout to Elizabeth who helped make this as easy as possible, but who also followed every contractual agreement that we had originally agreed upon. She helped us with new ideas, sent us images of the fresh updates to the site and even made sure that some of our large asks were met with upon reason. On our wedding day, we were dedicated a site manager. We were lucky to get Bianca. Bianca is hilarious but also hard working. She made sure to help where we needed and was always there for the smallest of things (like scissors - LOL!) BOOK YOUR WEDDING/EVENT HERE. I promise it will be the best decision you make

d us immediately that this was the right fit for our size of celebration and our overall style. The ceremony space offers a beautiful view for your guests, a lovely breezeway and a spacious dining hall. We have lived in Austin for over 10 years, and have heard wonderful things about The Prospect House. The venue has the option to celebrate all night with a mix of both indoors and outdoors and that is what sold us. The dining area provided perfect lighting. And one end provides plenty of floor space to bring in live entertainment (in our case it was a 3 piece DJ/Band combo). Prospect House was fabulous to work with, and our night under the stars wouldn't have been possible without such a clean space and gorgeous hill country backdrop. Thank you PROSPECT HOUSE!

We could go on and on but some of the other highlights of the venue for us included the location, the getting ready suites that were available, the built-in inclement weather ceremony space, and the biergarten for our cocktail hour!

As two architects getting married, we were drawn to the venue for its minimal design and had this idea to hang a giant globe from the wheel that would glow and change with the music. Prospect House had never seen it done before but were super open to the idea and offered suggestions on how to make it happen. You can’t go wrong doing as much or as little design and decoration with the venue as you wish - the architecture speaks for itself, but it is also the perfect theatre to completely transform into a highly personalized and curated space. As far as venues go, they are super open to any vision you may have and helpful in making it come to life! We truly had our dream wedding here!

The open air lay-out of the entry room allowed for a pleasant breeze during our event, and the white walls served as a beautiful canvas for our colorful decorations and lighting. Erich and Kathering made us feel like family. We would definitely recommend Prospect House!

n and layout. What we didn’t know how valuable Erich and Kathryn would be in our wedding planning process. They answered every single one of my multiple, annoying questions throughout the whole process promptly and easily. Whether it involved sound systems, vendor recommendations, load-in/load-out times, they had an answer and then some. We are an out-of-town couple, but they easily accommodated our schedule to make sure we could have access to the venue anytime we were in the area and needed to tour the space or do a walk-through with our planner. They went out of their way to allow us to drop off some items to the venue early, and were available and willing to help with every detail. Our wedding wouldn’t have been nearly as successful if we had it anywhere else. So thankful for Kathryn, Erich, and Prospect House!

h, are the sweetest couple, and the most understanding business owners. They worked with us with changing our date due to COVID, and all communication was fast, friendly, and helpful! The reason for the three star review is because their venue manager was so outlandishly rude to everyone. She came in four hours before the wedding, yelled at my bridesmaids, myself, and my groom for no reason. Then didn’t stop yelling at us the entire night. She was condescending, pushy, and made me very uncomfortable. Every person she came in contact with, excluding the florist, had a terrible interaction with her and complained to me about her. I would recommend this venue, but ask to interact with the owners only, not the manager.

we heard over and over "Kathryn and Erich are the best"- which we took as a really good sign. But when COVID struck we were really nervous about the possibility of having to reschedule. After talking to Erich on the phone we were so at ease and thankful we chose the Prospect House! They were SO supportive and accommodating. They never tried to pressure us into a decision and patiently answered all of our questions. It was such a relief that we booked with people who treated us like human beings instead of customers! Aside from that the venue was perfect for our wedding and everyone who attended was in awe of it. Book the Prospect House!

well-appointed bridal and groomsmen's ready rooms, a welcoming breezeway with built-in bar to welcome your guests, adequate parking, and a large kitchen and back entrance for vendors, kept things running smoothly. Ceremony space, bar space and banquet hall are separate spaces but flow nicely together in a way that serves guests wanting to get away from the band's volume or step into a space that is cooler or warmer. The bride and groom (and all of us) were very pleased with our event. Can't wait to get our pictures and appreciate the beauty of the setting as it serves as a backdrop for the bridal party. 100% recommend.

When we came to Prospect House, she (and I) knew before we even walked in the door that it would be perfect. Prospect is simple, modern and uses all of the natural beauty and light to its best advantage. Prospect provides nice chairs, tables (rounds, rectangles and cocktail height) and a built in bar. The outdoor space is amazing, and the whole venue is a perfect backdrop for any type of decor. It's one of those places where it's even more striking in person than in the photos.
All of the other vendors we lined up (photographer, videographer, catering, floral, wedding planner, DJ) raved about how Prospect House is one of their favorite venues. The owners were very intentional and thoughtful to create a place that worked ideally for customers and vendors.
However, with Covid, we were not able to hold the wedding as planned. Even so, Prospect's owners, Kathryn and Erich, were wonderful to work with and very understanding and flexible throughout the whole situation.
I highly recommend Prospect House - it's a beautiful venue with great service the whole way through.

love that the space operates as a blank slate that you can do anything with, but also that you do not have to go over the top to transform the space because of the beauty in its design and clean lines. From our first venue tour to the venue walkthrough, rehearsal, and wedding day, we had wonderful experiences working with Erich and Kathryn. They are attentive, communicative, great at providing recommendations, and overall so helpful and flexible. The ceremony frame, bud wall and weather vane are just a few of my favorite elements of the space. Not to mention that the flow of the event from the outdoor ceremony to cocktail hour in the breezeway to the reception and party in the main hall works so well. I feel so lucky that we were able to get married at Prospect House and would absolutely recommend it!

You've seen the photos, so you already know this venue is completely unique and breathtaking. But I wanted to write a review about the people behind the venue, because they're just...
as important. If you'd like to know something about the couple behind Prospect House, ask Kathryn or Erich about how the venue came to be. Every step of the way, these two have bent over backward to make sure we had everything we needed to put on a spectacular wedding with details that were completely new and unique. Some of our ideas required creativity and openness from our venue, and I doubt the more traditional or cookie-cutter venues would have been interested in making it happen. But when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, that's when we saw the biggest benefit to going with Prospect House. We still have a wedding because of Kathryn and Erich, and had we chosen our runner-up venue, we would not have been so lucky. These guys are what Austin is truly about, and you will be glad you chose something a little different.

The two owners Kathryn and Erich could not have been easier to work with. They gave us all of the information we needed and were always very quick to respond when we had questions. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their business and in their property.
We knew right away this was going to be our venue, it was absolutely the easiest decision we made.

The moment we visited Prospect House, we knew we wanted to have our wedding at this venue. As a 'blank canvas' of sorts, it was the perfect size for our mid-sized gathering (~120 p...
eople), and it really fit our minimalist style, giving us the opportunity to decorate only what we wanted to, within our allotted budget. And Erich and Kathryn were absolutely amazing to work with throughout the entire process! They answered all of our (many) questions up front, allowed us to visit the venue multiple times, and were so flexible in how we decorated and used the space.
I also want to note that with Texas’ unpredictable storm patterns, the fact that Prospect House has both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces is such a stress-reliever. On the day of our wedding, we were caught off-guard by a lot of morning and afternoon sun (as we were expecting rain storms). While many vendors require setup details to be finalized within 24 hours of the ceremony, Erich's team gave us ample time to decide whether to setup the indoor or outdoor ceremony space on the day of our wedding. Within a few hours of the ceremony, we ultimately decided indoor would be safer, and the well-known bud vase wall served as a gorgeous backdrop for our nuptials. And good thing - because the rains and all the thunder came right before we said our "I Do's"!

We planned our wedding completely from overseas, which at first felt overwhelming, but Kathryn and Erich really made the extra effort to answer all of our questions and even gave us a FaceTime tour of the space. They were extremely prompt and professional with their communication and always made it clear that they understood how important everything was to us. We couldn't be happier that we picked Prospect House.

s allow beautiful photos to be taken (ceremony arbor, windows, bud vase wall, doors, etc.) I would highly recommend this venue to everyone. Kathryn and Erich are delightful individuals and are extremely easy to work with. They are both understanding and accommodating.
One word of advice though! The day I had my wedding, the wind was extremely strong and knocked down my signs in the breezeway (they were in glass picture frames) and they broke. I would recommend having signs printed off and placed on a matte board, instead of a glass frame.

Literally, I don't think you can find a more beautiful venue in the Austin area.

other way! Erich was so easy to work with and always answered my (MANY) questions. The venue itself is so breathtaking, that we needed very few decorations. But it also provided us with a great canvas to express ourselves as a couple. From the wind vane, to the flower wall, to that ALTAR(!!!)- everything was absolutely beautiful and PERFECT for us on our wedding day. There are also unlimited possibilities for setting up the reception hall- there were so many ideas we loved! A week or two before the wedding we told Erich how we were thinking of setting up the tables and we were surprised to see them already set up when we arrived. The dressing rooms were also chic and comfortable for us as we got ready. Our guests complimented the space all night and our photos look AMAZING! The venue and the grounds lend to so many photo opportunities- everything is absolutely gorgeous. GET MARRIED HERE!!
