Let me start by saying Ty was amazing. From the very beginning he took the time to figure out what I wanted from my photos (honestly I had no idea) he really helped to guide my fiance, now husband. He also help direct us through out. All the pictures were beautiful, I got so many compliments on both my photos and how nice my photographer was. Also used him both for my engagement shots and wedding, photos came make in a timely fashion. Would highly recommend him.

Ty really made our vision for our wedding come together. From our first zoom meeting to the day of the event we never stressed about the service Ty delivered. Ty is seriously amazing. He was able to capture every moment. We got over 2000 images and all of them were perfectly edited and they all came back pretty fast. I'm honestly very impressed by his work. He made me feel comfortable on my wedding day and made sure my smile was very natural and not fake. He also collaborated with my videographer very nicely and they never worked together before. Unfortunately, I was left at the hotel on accident by my bridal party and Ty made sure I got to the church on time and he ordered me an Uber XL and tried to make me laugh the whole way there. He also stayed a little extra to capture pictures on the mezzanine that I really wanted. He did above and beyond what he was supposed to do. I highly highly recommend him and his second shooter was hilarious we loved him and he did a great job as well. Book Ty! Hurry though he gets booked up fast.

We had an awesome experience with Ty. He was professional, responsive, and took amazing photos. We feel like we lucked out when it came to finding him! The only suggestion I would have if you do book him would be to try to research different poses you want before your photo sessions, as I do feel like we didn't have much variety in our poses. If you end up sending him photo or video inspiration ahead of time, I'm sure he would be able to guide you. But some of our photos felt a little awkward because the poses were repetitive or not as creative as they could have been (which is partly our fault). Otherwise, he has an eye for locations and editing, so your photos will turn out great!

He has a wonderful presence to be around all day and is great at making everyone look their best in all of the photos. I am so beyond thankful to have had Prudence Photography capture all the memories from my wedding. Ty was so wonderful to work with from start to finish. Our wedding was supposed to take place in 2020, but was rescheduled to 2021, which Ty was so accommodating with. It was so nerve-wracking to reach out to vendors and not know if they would transfer their contracts over due to Covid, but Ty made it feel like it was not a problem a all. I originally found Ty through a friend who also used him for her wedding and also had such a positive experience. He took our engagement photos, took the time to discuss day of timelines, family dynamics, picture and location requests, and even allowed for us to have our dog involved with engagement pictures and wedding day photos. He was happy to accommodate all of our requests to make sure we got all of the photos we wanted to get. On the day of the wedding, Ty was the perfect combination of being organized and easygoing. He brought such a calmness to the day, which was much appreciated. He also has a true passion for what he does. He had such clear ideas of the photos and poses to get which made it seamless to follow his direction. Ty worked well with our entire vendor team, most of whom he hadn’t met before. He did recommend our videographer to us though, which worked out well. He also worked behind the scenes with my dad to put together a surprise slideshow with childhood pictures, which was so special to us. He was prompt in his communication throughout planning and stuck to his turnaround time in getting our pictures and photo album back to us. Speaking of the photo album…wow! We received a 12x12 acrylic cover photo album with thick pages as a part of our package. It is so high quality. I am truly obsessed with it and look through it daily. I can’t say enough good things about Ty and am so thankful that he was a part of our wedding team. Pictures were something that were really important to me in planning for the wedding and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. We will treasure them forever. Thank you, Ty!

Ty was an amazing and professional photographer from planning, to the day of photos, to sending us the final photos. During our wedding planning, he was always quick to answer any questions we had. On the day of, he was good at suggesting poses AND capturing candid spontaneous shots. Half of our favorite photos are shots that he carefully staged and directed. The other half we're completely spontaneous, candid moments that he captured perfectly on film. He worked really well with our wedding coordinator and independent videographer - super professional. His cost was reasonable compared to other photographers we looked at, and he was worth every dollar we spent. I am glad that we didn't try to shop around more or cut corners. Ty was an amazing photographer to work with for our wedding. From the first phone call we had with him, my husband and I knew that he would be a pleasure to work with on our big day. He worked quickly, the pictures turned out beautiful and he was extremely calm during the day. I never realized how important it would be to have a photographer who was so calm—the day is so full of energy with family and friends, it was a relief to have a photographer who was composed amidst all the excitement. We got married on July 19, 2019—it was one of the hottest days of the year (around 95 degrees) and we took all of our photos outside. Ty never made any comment about the heat, instead he was prepared and focused on getting all of the important shots I wanted. I was nervous about creating the timeline, but with Ty’s help and willingness to be accommodating, everything worked out perfectly. I recommend giving yourself more time than you think, we used his services for 10 hours and it ended up being the perfect amount of time. We took photos for an hour at the hotel, then drove to our venue and then had about 3 to 4 hours before our ceremony to take pictures with family and the bridal party. He then continued to take photos throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. If you’re unsure about going with one or two photographers, I think one is plenty for a wedding of our size. Our families are not too large, and we had 7 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen and 115 guests. Ty was all encompassing for the kind of person you want to work with when it comes to such a special day—he is relaxed, in his element and we got our gorgeous pictures back in about 5 weeks!

We had to find a photographer in a hurry due to a cancellation, and Ty was the first to get back to me just minutes after I requested a quote...and we could not have been happier with Ty & Prudence Photography! My husband and I were married in Chicago on Oct. 10, 2015. Ty was a dream to work with. He was familiar with both of my venues and I honestly think he had as much fun shooting the wedding as we did. Ty is a creative genius and he can always come up with something creative out of the least creative circumstances! I was in a very cramped room in my hotel along with my bridesmaids and, of course, everything is littered with our belongings, snacks etc. hardly any place to come up with creative shots! He made it work and more than prepared for situations like that. I am in disbelief when I got the photos, specially the "Getting ready" part where everything turned out to be so elegant! Ty took our wedding photos last month and he was really really helpful in organizing our photography needs and making our big day less stressful and more fun! He's creative, and an artist! We really loved working with Ty! He was so attentive and understanding of our traditions and what needed to be captured during traditional Hindu ceremony events! I could not recommend him more! When we ran a little over, he was very understanding and did not try and get out of there - this is much appreciated by a bride since hardly anything runs on time! We also were able to see some highlight photos in less than 2 weeks from our event and the full CD of photos was sent at exactly 2 weeks which is extremely quick and again, much appreciated by an antsy bride. Ty was such a great photographer for our wedding. It was really important to me to find someone who would allow me to keep my digital originals which he was happy to do. The whole process was really great. We met with him and really liked his photography style which is more photojournalistic than portraiture which we liked because we wanted a big fun party feel more than a formal feel. I also really liked his vivid colors, especially since our venue was inside and rather dark. Ty was really good to communicate with us in the lead up to the wedding. The day of the wedding, Ty came and brought an assistant as well. They were really nice and accomodating. They were also unobtrusive which was very important to my husband. I really don't remember them getting most of the shots I saw later. One of my family friends was unable to attend the wedding and when we showed her the pictures that Ty took, she got emotional and said she felt like she had gotten to see it after all. I don't have a single negative thing to say about Ty or the process. I highly recommend him for your photography needs.

Ty was an awesome photographer. He is so helpful and super attentive. There are a lot of photographers in the Chicago area who charge an arm and a leg for just mediocre photos. He has an eye for photography and I absolutely love that he worked with me in the engagement photo locations even though it was freezing. I recommend him to everyone. He's been in photography for 8 years and it really shows. I can't wait to get married in May and him photograph my wedding. It will be just lovely. Awesome business.

Research and months of research! There are tons of photographers out there and after much contemplating I thought Prudence Photography's service is right around what I'm looking for. And they didn't disappoint!! Ty is the lead photographer who captured the most memorable moments in my wedding. He is funny, very comfortable person to work with and truly humble. My husband and I were married downtown at the Chicago Cultural Center. I requested that Ty capture our special moment, followed-up with a mini family shoot that included our 8-month-old baby boy and wanted it to have a holiday feel. Ty not only did a great job photographing the ceremony making a not so typical setting look tasteful and gasp, might I say eloquent but also did a fantastic job of capturing the beauty of the building, all while keeping up as the main focus of the picture(s). He was also able to incorporate my requested Christmas feel using the minimal décor that the facility had put-up for the holidays, without making it look tacky or cliché. In addition, by the time we did family photos, my son was very close to a full melt down and Ty remained patient and worked with him until he got just the right shot. I cannot speak highly enough of Ty, starting from my first email exchange with him. He was prompt, thorough and very patient with my never-ending questions. He went above and beyond my expectations and was incredibly quick at processing and enhancing all our photos. I would happily recommend and use his services again!
