Scott also assisted during the ceremony playing our music and working closely together with our officiant to ensure that we had everything that we wanted. We heard from many of our guests that Scott was an amazing DJ and did tremendous work. Prior to the wedding day, Scott was always available to talk when we had questions about the wedding day. This made the planning process much easier for us. We recommend Scott to anyone looking for a DJ!

ion hadn’t shown up. We didn’t know what to do. A staff member at the venue knew of a DJ (Scott) and called him. They explained the situation, and asked him if he was able to help. Scott dropped the plans he had that evening and was at the venue within, I think, 20-30 minutes. He set up his equipment, and took over the rest of the evening. He asked about the agenda for the evening, the special songs and dances, and took over announcing the events (cake cutting, etc…). He was so helpful!!! It’s difficult to describe how amazing the night was. He didn’t just show up, he helped make the evening magical! The music was great, he kept everybody dancing all night long, he took videos, and pictures throughout the evening (which he shared with us afterward without a charge). He is a kind individual and really loves what he does. He takes pride in his work DJing and is very personable. I would hire him again in a second!!

He was also so considerate of first, what does the happy couple want, and second, what is the best way to get people on the dance floor and allow people to have a great time. He went above and beyond when it came to not only listening to me and my husband about what we wanted, but also, when appropriate, suggesting things to make what we were asking for even better. Everyone had amazing things to say about how friendly Scott was, our parents, our guests, and of course, ourselves. He was always pleasant to talk to, but he also gave us our space to enjoy our special day as much as possible too! We could not have asked for a better DJ the day of our wedding, thank you Scott!

My wife and I were not aware of this issue until we arrived at our reception, resulting in us scrambling to find someone. Luckily, someone knew Scott Ptak and reached out to him for us. Scott dropped his personal plans and arrived at our reception extremely quickly (for sure within the hour, if not within thirty minutes). As one can imagine, we were a little anxious since we had never met Scott, never told Scott our wedding/DJ plans, and knew very little of him or his company. Thankfully, Scott was more than we could have expected. He was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful in everything the day of our wedding. Not to mention, he went above and beyond what we would expect from our DJ. He was constantly videoing and taking pictures on his phone in between DJing. He was also very receptive to guests coming up to him and chatting, requesting music or thanking him for his expediency. Whatever stress we had from our hiccup with our previous DJ was eliminated within 30 minutes of Scott being there. Importantly, he was flexible to any of our requests throughout the wedding, always rolling with the punches, keeping our reception lively with people on the dance floor, and effectively announcing activities whenever we needed him to (like cake cutting, first dances, speeches, etc.). Scott did an amazing job at our wedding with no heads up, preparation, or prior knowledge of us and our wedding. Honestly, we have nothing but amazing words regarding PTAK Entertainment. If our wedding is how Scott performs with no preparation or planning, I cannot imagine how good he is with full wedding preparation.

When wedding day came, he was on time and ready to go, always with a great attitude; and when the weather forced us to go inside, we had to make quick changes which Scott did easily and happily. Along with being our DJ, he was also our announcer and introduced the wedding party, and there never was a time where his infectious attitude and quick smile didn't add to the party. He even took dozens of photos and videos which he sent to us; there were some really great photos that he took that we would never have seen. Overall, the music was great, the evening was a huge success! I highly recommend Scott Ptak and Ptak Entertainment!

There was a bit of a delay with dinner, so Scott quickly got with the appropriate contact people at the reception to seamlessly switch up a few things to fill the gap. He made sure he knew who to touch base with if anything needed to be addressed, so the bride and groom could enjoy their day. He got to know the bridal party and was able to read the crowd and kept the majority of the guests there and on the dance floor until the very end. Scott also took several amazing photos and videos, from prior to the ceremony through the entire reception and sent them to us within a couple of days after the wedding. The quality and thoughtfulness of the photos was more than we could have ever expected. We most definitely will be using him again. Several guests at the wedding complimented on how impressed they were with him as well.

We had some last-minute changes and additions to our schedule, and Scott bent over backwards to incorporate them easily and ensure that we had an amazing day. Not only could not be happier with the music, but Scott's charisma ensured that all of our guests were dancing and having a great time. He also really helped us communicate logistical messages to our guests when we were not in the room, and came to us with any issues in an incredibly professional manner. Additionally, I highly recommend getting the photo booth, every one of our guests loved it. On top of it all, Scott took pictures and video throughout the night, and some of the pictures we loved from our wedding we would not have without him. We wish we could throw another wedding just to have him again.

When I say he was super thorough, he will give you sheets that literally break down your entire ceremony and reception - from what music you want to hear, to names of your bridal party, any special dances, he plans for it all in a very organized way, and never once did we feel overwhelmed. Day off - couldn’t have asked for anything else!!! Scott went above and beyond! He took pictures throughout our entire day at the venue, in addition to what our photographer had, which was extra special to us! He read the vibe of our group to get people out on the dance floor with ease, and met with us a few times throughout the night to make sure we were happy with how things were going, and the music choices. He has VERY reasonable pricing, it was affordable and SO worth it. Scott, we can’t thank you enough for making our special day even more special.

Scott played nearly every song we requested, and kept it clean & classy throughout. His services were priced extremely fairly and we felt like we got much more than we paid for. For example, one of our larger regrets was that we didn't hire a videographer...but with Scott there was no need! He took several high-quality videos of the festivities throughout the night and several hundred photos...all of which he uploaded to a private server to download afterwards. If we ever decide to host another event here on the west side of Michigan, he will be our go-to choice, and we sincerely hope that you give him the same level of consideration that he so greatly deserves!

While he was setting up we discussed the plan, It worked flawlessly. Scotts communication skills, quality of his work as well his ability to improvise on the spot, will impressive, to say the least. It all comes down to personality and character. Scott has both. wedding to make sure the show worked perfectly. He knew what I was trying to achieve (pictures set to music) and solved some technical difficulties I was having just before go time. His sound system, lights, and photo booth were great and his personality made for a fun Emcee for the night. Scott is very personable, friendly, and professional. He was great to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

to act as our emcee and DJ! We learned about Scott from a friend who read his many great reviews on The Knot. My fiancé and I first met Scott in person to discuss our wedding day vision. We knew he was going to be our pick within the first 10 minutes of the meeting. His presence, ideas, and experience provided us with the confidence that he could make our event special; and he did! Scott handled the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We didn’t know that the mic that he placed on our officiant was going to pick up our voices during the vows we read. All our guests could clearly hear what we said. And Scott assisted the videographer to access his sound equipment so he could record not only the ceremony sound but the sound of the entire reception for our videos. Scott promised us that he would take all the pressure off us so we could enjoy our wedding instead of having to worry about the details and the timing. He did just that. There was a moment when my father informed us that he wanted to make an unplanned speech during dinner. Before introducing my dad, Scott made sure that both the photographer and the videographer we ready to capture the moment. Once the special dances started after dinner, we told Scott that we didn’t want to dance to the entire length of the songs we chose. We are not the type that likes being the center of attention. It worked out perfectly! He faded the songs out once the photographer and videographer captured what they needed. When the formalities were out of the way, to get things started, and to get our guests out on the dance floor, Scott suggested that he would invite them to join us by leading with a slow song. After making the announcement, there was no room on the dance floor. People had to spill off to the sides to dance. Immediately following that song, he ramped up the music and the dance floor remained packed for the rest of the evening. We did a sparkler send-off 45 minutes before the end of the event. All the guests were instructed to go outside and participate. We thought that the send-off would likely be the end of the event. This was not the case. After we left, we were told that most everyone that was still remaining went back to the dance floor to finish the evening giving Scott song requests. Our bridal party members later told us that our wedding was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. We had an idea that hiring the right DJ is essential to throw a great event, but now we know just how important. The day after our wedding, Scott sent us a link to all the photos and videos that he personally took during the entire event. What an incredible surprise!! PS - Scott, you were fantastic! You exceeded our expectations! You should know that we received many compliments about your DJ service during our wedding, and after. Thank you so very much for everything!

This wedding is the first of our kids. The last wedding we planned was our own, so we appreciated any help we could get. What my husband and I noticed during the wedding was how attentive Scott was to our daughter and son-in-law. My husband decided to make a last-minute toast during dinner. Scott stepped in to present a smooth introduction and made sure that the videographer was able to capture that moment. It was very memorable and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. People commented how much they enjoyed the music Scott played during the cocktail hour and dinner. It was very classy and matched the venue perfectly. The guest list included a good number of older couples, many being our friends. Scott’s ability to switch from songs that were being played to the younger crowd, to songs that appealed to the older audience without losing the interest of the younger folks was impressive. Anyone who hires Scott for their wedding will be making a good choice. He is an exceptional DJ!

tightly packed order of events, and picked a perfect playlist for our reception vibe. The thing that impressed me the most about Ptak was his flexibility. We asked him to host a mini "Newly-Wed" gameshow. We weren't initially sure how it was going to go, but Scott's personality with a microphone in hand engaged the entire crowd. He also made a last minute change to our walk-in music after my wife and I realized we hadn't picked the right song. Additionally, Scott coordinated (on less than a five minutes notice) with the venue coordinator and building crew to turn down all the lights on his command as he turned up the music to transition from the mother-son dance to the open dance floor. The man is calm under pressure and will fulfill your request no matter how ridiculous or last second it may be. Lastly, I am writing this review because before I left the reception I shook Scott's hand and thanked him for all he'd done that night. I asked what was the best way for me to help him, considering I won't be having any more weddings for him to DJ. He said the Knot reviews and personal recommendations help him the most. I gladly write this 5 star review for PTAK Entertainment and my wife recommended him to her newly engaged Maid of Honor. I am excited to see him DJ at her wedding next year!

t was really good at reading the room which I feel is very important. Ex) the best men's speech brought up a time my husband and I sang bohemian rhapsody together and when the speech ending just a few seconds later Scott had that song starting at a low volume for our encode performance. This really elevated the speech and got everyone into the moment. Scott allows as much direction as you would like to provide with his in depth questionnaire. This is nice to make sure he plays your favorite song or doesn't play a song you don't want. 10 outta 10 for sure recommend Scott! He has a great service, very professional, and reads the room!
