We first met Alan when we were planning for a 2020 wedding. We ended up postponing to 2021, and Alan was great with working with us on that. Leading up to our wedding, Alan was helpful with making suggestions to make our day special. He helped me remix a song for my father daughter dance, which I really appreciated. The reason I give 3/5 stars, is the day of the wedding was not so smooth. Alan accidentally announced my sisters by the wrong name (it turned out to be funny and fine), and then announced us for our grand entrance by the wrong last name. When I mentioned to him that he used the wrong name, he did nothing to correct the mistake. My mom came to him and asked him to reannounce us with the correct name, and he said that he had been made aware. But, no correction. My parents wedding song was wrong, which I had double and triple checked and added to the playlist tool he had on his website, was the wrong song. Alan came up to me and phrased it in such a way that I had made the mistake, and I know I had checked it. This was my wedding day, and there were multiple instances where I had felt like I was being thrown under the bus by Alan, sometimes actually by him announcing I had made a mistake filling out a form, or choosing the wrong song. I worked really hard to plan this wedding, and was made to feel like I was inconveniencing Alan throughout the evening of my own wedding. All of this would not have been a big deal to us in the grand scheme of things, but the last and most important piece is that my husband and I had a choreographed dance that we had been practicing for months for our first dance. When we were doing our first dance, Alan had cut out the middle of the song unknown to us, and we had to improvise on a dance we had worked so hard on. Would have been nice to have had a heads up on that. Reviews for Alan are great, so I’m hoping this was just an off night. Alan is a nice person, just wish there was some sort of acknowledgment that he made some mistakes.

Alan is not just a DJ. I would say he plays the most important role in your day. He was there every step of the way and truly took his time getting to know us. After our wedding people were still talking about him. Alan was there at my sisters wedding and now my wedding and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We can’t thank you enough Alan!

We are so happy with the phenomenal job Alan did as the DJ and MC for our wedding. He was such a warm, straightforward, and professional person to work with. Right off the bat we liked working with Alan because he didn't rely on any scummy high pressure salesman talk to convince us he was worth hiring (none of that "if you act RIGHT NOW you'll get a free thing" type stuff that we all hate). Instead, he let his portfolio, experience, and personality shine through and do the talking. It quickly became obvious that he was well practiced with making good use of the many years of experience he has as a DJ and MC. He sat down with us and methodically went through each phase of our wedding day; whenever there was something we were unsure of he always had several great suggestions ready, and whenever we had a request he would smoothly fit it into the itinerary. He would also tell you his professional opinion if he had some reservations about certain activities, but he would always bring them up respectfully, and would always respect our wishes whatever we ended up deciding upon. Alan met with us on several occasions before the wedding to continue to hash out details and make sure everything was for sure settled before the big day. He also did a great job reaching out to our other vendors and coordinating with them, which showed on the wedding day with how smoothly things progressed. He was able to keep things rolling smoothly and on time in regards to our itinerary; things were planned out well enough that we barely had to think about what was next, and Alan already had a queue for us for the next activity. Really, we have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about Alan. His talents are well worth his rate, which was very reasonable for the Western Washington Market. 11/10 would recommend him as a DJ and MC for any wedding or special event. You for sure will not be disappointed in the spectacular job he will do.

Alan is an amazing DJ/MC. He truly goes above and beyond and it is so apparent just how much he cares about his couples. Due to COVID, my husband and I had to move our wedding from California to Seattle and we were lucky to have found Alan with only a month until the wedding. About two weeks prior to the wedding, we learned we had to reschedule it to 4 days earlier. We contacted Alan about the change, he said that he had a family vacation planned for then but that he would call us back. Alan called us back 30 min later and stated "I'm onboard." While I never want someone to take away from family time, I was so appreciative of Alan AND his family. Alan makes it his mission to make your wedding as personalized as possible, to have your guests feel truly like a part of your big day, not just witnesses. The wedding was seamless. He worked closely with my coordinator and the venue owners and the day was truly magical. I cannot recommend Alan enough. He was a huge part into making our day amazing. Thank you

Not only would we recommend Alan to anyone as a DJ/MC for their wedding we would tell them that they should ask Alan to serve as their officiant as well. Alan ran our entire wedding without a hitch to make sure that we had the most amazing wedding day possible. As everyone else has said Alan is a great DJ, he is able to fill every moment with the perfect mix of music for a fun and lively wedding day. He is also a fantastic master of ceremonies, coordinating with all of our other vendors and becoming familiar with our story in order to create a reception that was unique to us. Alan didn’t stop there though, when our officiant backed out on us in mid-March he immediately stepped up offering to serve as the officiant for our ceremony. Even though he had never officiated a wedding before we were confident that he would handle the situation masterfully and boy did he deliver. We had so many guests come up to us and say that we had the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to and they were shocked to learn that we were Alan’s first ceremony. If you want a personalized, stress-free wedding day, book Alan as one of your first vendors.

Alan is an incredible wedding DJ and MC!!!!!! He was supportive, positive, and professional from beginning to end. My husband and I absolutely loved working with him. Alan's work was absolutely perfect on our wedding day - he played all the right music and got everyone dancing (even though we had a pretty reserved group). He was really funny and really cultivated an inviting and happy wedding reception environment. Alan also took the time to get to know us and went out of his way to create a wonderful slideshow for us. Our wedding timeline flowed smoothly despite us running late all thanks to Alan. 10/10 I would highly recommend hiring Alan for your big day, he will do everything in his power to make it perfect for you. We can't thank you enough Alan!!!

My husband and I hired Alan to DJ at our wedding and we were so glad we did! He helped us out with so many details! He made our timeline and made sure that things happened in a timely manner. And if we weren't ready yet, he waited. My brother-in-law said it was one of the best weddings he had ever been to because it was organized. And that was all because of Alan. He gave us all kinds of ideas and he was very transparent with us on our ideas as well. If you are looking into hiring Alan for an event, do it! Our guests had a blast at our wedding and were dancing all night long!

Having Alan as our wedding DJ was SUCH a good idea! I felt like Alan just knew EVERYTHING. We met multiple times to discuss details and he provided his opinion and thoughts on topics that I wasnt sure of. I had never planned a wedding before so his experienced input really helped us make some decisions on how our ceremony and rehearsal was going to run. Alan met with us a couple of times for multiple hours to hash out details and I really felt so relieved everytime we left a meeting with him. Just felt *phew*, got lots of details checked off the list! On the wedding day Alan ran everything so smoothly and helped keep us on schedule. He played all the songs I wanted and really made sure I (the bride) was happy and my needs were met. We LOVE Alan! Thanks for all the hard work you put into our wedding! it turned out perfect.

Overall a great experience working with Alan. Plenty of planning sessions and communications beforehand so he could get an idea of what we wanted. Lots of great ideas from him on various different aspects of the wedding. Was amazing the day of the wedding and very professional.

We hired Alan Chitlik only about a month or so before our wedding and he pulled off our reception for us wonderfully! He has an online site that allowed us login and select songs that were must plays, play if you can, and don't play. We also received a login for our guests that allowed them to choose songs they wanted to hear at our wedding, which we know they loved getting to be involved in the music selection and request songs in advance so this was a great feature for us and for them! Alan had us fill out a form prior to our wedding which laid out every "moment" in detail (from our grand entrance to the garter removal and garter toss) so we could select every song that we wanted played for each and every important moment during the reception. He was very thorough in our meetings, which made us feel confident that no detail would be missed. He made the reception have a wonderful flow to it and played every special song we had requested for special moments throughout the night. His experience with our venue was especially helpful as he knew that guests sitting near the back of the venue would be unable to see the dance floor and therefore, it would be necessary to have them all standing near the dance floor for the first dance, father daughter dance, mother son dance, so that everyone could see. He helped pull this off so that the night still had a good flow to it and people didn't feel like they were being shuffled around. Details like these were things we hadn't even thought of, so Alan was very helpful in his knowledge of making sure everything "flowed." We interviewed several other DJ's before Alan and most were either not as professional or knowledgeable and also less expensive or had similar philosophies to Alan and portrayed a similar confidence and professionalism, but were 3 times as expensive. Alan was the right price for our budget and gained our confidence quickly and certainly carried through with that and didn't let us down on our wedding day. He was very easy to work with and we would definitely recommend him!

I used to work in the wedding industry in Seattle so I can properly guarantee that you will not find a more valuable DJ than Alan Chitlik of Puget Sound DJ. Not only does his website offer a tremendous amount of helpful checklists, but his wealth of knowledge in his profession is unmatched by any DJ in the Seattle area. The importance of a DJ goes far beyond picking the right music for your day, it is also about setting a terric flow between planned activities: from ceremony, cake-cutting, garter tosses, etc; establishing relationships with your guests; providing the right equipment and sound for your space; and creating a trusted relationship with the one person who you have assigned to get create the atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. I cannot express enough how incredibly fortunate I was to snag Alan for our big day. Please do yourself a favor and don't even THINK about hiring someone else or attempting to do an ipod wedding. I thought about an ipod wedding and I know now that I would have regretted that decision more than anything else in my wedding. THANK YOU ALAN for the PERFECT day!

I loved Alan from the minute I met him. He was passionate about making our wedding perfect and didn't stop working toward that until the very end. He met with us several times to make sure we had every detail down and really got to know us as a couple so that he could personalize our reception as much as possible. Alan also sent us a book to help with planning our reception and we got so many compliments as a result. Alan was fantastic and with his set pricing you didn't have to pay for any of the extras.
