Daniel did an amazing job covering our Outerbanks wedding in Buxton/Frisco. Both he & Kate work really hard to make sure they understand everything they can about you and your celebration before the big day, so they were well prepared. Rolling through the pictures was such a breeze. Daniel was extremely professional, yet relaxed and personable. He really understands the rawness, weather and beauty of the Outerbanks, and the photos captured everything we always loved about our destination, and all the best moments, big and small, of the day. We adore the collection he made for us, and will clearly treasure them forever.

Let’s just say we love our Outer Banks and when it came to our wedding and finding a photographer it was easy, my husband actually found Pullen Weddings off of Instagram. We instantly fell in love with all of their photos just from how the literally catch every little second of your day even when it’s off guard moments but that’s what makes the best pictures. We reached out to Daniel and Kate because we were vacationing down in obx and wanted them to do our engagement pictures and we were expecting too so we did maternity pictures as well. I can’t say anything bad about them they went above and beyond for us from the first time we met them, to me having my son and Kate emailing us to say congratulations and all the way up to our wedding day. It was as if we were family, Daniel and Kate treat you like they have known you for years and that’s something we loved especially coming from a big family it was as if we became a family. On our wedding day we had both Daniel and Kate and just having them being there in our best day ever made it so special. They are amazing with kids too, all the shots of the kids that day are just so good. All our family and friends still talk about our photographers and how much fun they were. We are so beyond happy that we picked them, all of our pictures are AMAZING I look at them everyday I can’t stop looking at them. We can’t wait to go back to obx to have them do family pictures! Kate Pullen was great to work with! She came down early during our wedding week so that we could walk through the ceremony and plot our (unconventional) pre-wedding photo plans. Her relaxed style really fit with mine and I couldn't have asked for anything else. Plus the photos are beautiful!

My husband and I are weird, goofy, and totally awkward, I can barely take a regular photograph without making a ridiculous face, let alone take engagement photos that I'd be mailing out to friends and family. I was so worried about how we could possibly find someone to take beautiful pictures of us that still captured our personalities, but we got everything we could have wanted and more with Daniel and Kate. I spoke to a few photographers at the Outer Banks Wedding Expo and they all had nice looking portfolios, but I walked away thinking that they were kind of "cool guy-hipster-locals-only" photographers that we had nothing in common with. I made my way to Daniel and Kate and knew instantly these were the people I wanted involved in my wedding. They were so welcoming and nice, I was immediately at ease with them. They "got" my vision - photos that are pretty, but not overly-staged that still show a bit of our personalities. They traveled to Wilmington (where we live) to take our engagement photos, letting us take a few with our dog (they even played with her while we took some solo pics!). The awkwardness I was so worried about was nowhere to be found, Kate and Daniel and genuinely a super nice and cool couple. It was awesome to watch them work together, you can feel the love they have for each other and see them brainstorm really inventive ideas for the lighting/locations/poses for the pictures. Daniel came to our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and took such amazing candid photos, and my family/friends loved him! The photos Daniel and Kate took of our ceremony and reception were perfect and exactly what we wanted. We got our preview pictures quickly and didn't have to wait long to get the finished collection. They even mailed us a thumb drive with the photos, all of the pictures printed out and a few select enlarged print-outs. I would recommend Daniel and Kate to anyone, not only will you get amazing pictures, you will get to meet two really awesome people to help guide you through some of the more awkward parts of your wedding!

Choosing a photographer for your wedding is a big deal! You want everything to be perfect and Daniel and Kate do just that...PERFECT work. They are the most kind, fun, and hardworking people. Not only did they drive 12 hours to shoot our wedding (with a broken down car on the way) but they went out of their way to make our day special and stress free. We cannot thank them enough for being so wonderful, easy to work with and capturing every detail of our wedding perfectly. Should you be in the market for a wedding photographer, look no further.

Daniel and Kate were awesome to work with! They took amazing photos of moments we would have missed. Both the posed and candid pictures are amazing. They had amazing attitudes and made my husband and I feel very comfortable having pictures taken of us all day. The timeliness of the preview photos was excellent, also. After two weeks we have an amazing and large preview of our wedding pictures. We can't wait to see the rest! You not only captured perfection for our engagement shoot in NC but you traveled up to Cleveland, OH to capture the most beautiful, real, raw and creative moments of our wedding at the Arcade on 11/11/16!! Daniel and Kate are the most wonderful people to work with! We did our engagement session with them as well as the wedding. It was so fun and laid back, but yet they are very professional. People were dying over our engagement photos and telling us just how stunning they were. They are very creative and talented photographers. You will not be disappointed with them. I highly recommend. They are great people and want to shoot your day the way you want it and simply love making the client happy! Which can be hard to come by.

Kate was beyond fantasic to work with. She was in contact via email before, day of, and after the wedding. She took fabulous pictures and captured every moment.

Daniel and Kate were simply AMAZING. i am so, so, so glad we picked them as our wedding photographers. I literally can't say enough nice things about them. They are so relaxed, nice, helpful and easy to get along with. And if that wasn't enough, their pictures are simply incredible. We have received so many compliments on the artistic and gorgeous nature of our wedding photographs, and people have been shocked at what Daniel was able to capture. We met them through an OBX wedding event and they were the first vendor we booked. Our package came with an engagement photo shoot which we used to get to know them and get comfortable in front of the camera. Both Daniel and Kate immediately helped us relax and feel at ease. By the end of the photo shoot we were having so much fun we didn't want it to end. And of course the pictures were incredible. We used the engagement pictures to create a photobook for our parents as wedding gifts, which they loved. In the months leading up to the wedding Kate was fantastic. She recommended several vendors when we had no idea who to pick and really helped us work through some of our timeline questions. Their wedding photography guide definitely aided in our decision making process, and we are so glad we went with their recommendations, like doing a first look. They also recommended doing a second round of pictures right before sunset which at the time seemed like a hassle to try to fit into our timeline but in the end was SO WORTH IT. When it came to the wedding itself, we had Daniel and one of his assistants. He was professional, on time, and was the perfect mix of involved and behind the scenes. When we took our sunset pictures he brought an extra change of clothes so he could lay down in the surf just so he could get the right shot. I have never seen someone so committed to getting the perfect picture as Daniel was that day but it was completely worth it. We love our pictures!

Daniel and Kate are a great team! They are easy to communicate with and made our wedding day comfortable. They caught amazing pictures without even being noticed. Daniel Pullen and his coworker Kate photographed our wedding this past May. They took beautiful pictures and sent us a sneak peak of 100 pictures with in a week of our wedding. I loved Daniel and Kate, because they understood our view. I first met them at the Wedding Expo in NC and they seemed like the perfect match. We also got a great discount for booking them earlier. We exchanged e-mails and they did exactly what we have asked and much more. We received our preview in 2 weeks so we were able to work on our thank you cards. Very professional and friendly!

We previously attending a wedding of friend's who had hired the Pullen's as their photographers, so we were fortunate enough to have witnessed them at work first hand. And to be absolutely honest, I never saw Daniel or Kate during our friend's wedding - only because they blended in so well, which was one of the reason we hired them. The second reason, and the more important one, is that we loved their style. They're both so talented, with a great eye - Daniel is more focused on the overall vision - Kate zones in on the details … and together, they mesh so well. Let me preface this by saying that we are very particular about what we do and don't like, in photographs. We lean towards artsy type pictures that haven't been overdone on Pinterest. We like simplicity - clean lines - interesting angles. I'm sure our first meeting with Daniel & Kate was a bit overwhelming, since we basically assaulted them with all the things we didn't want. But they ran with it and assured us that they understood our desires. Day of the wedding: Prior to the ceremony, Kate photographed me and the girls, Daniel stayed with my husband and the guys. I never saw them once after the "formal/posed family pictures" were over. Of course, in my state of nirvana, I had forgotten we had photographers. Until the pictures came - and while perusing through them, I caught myself gasping -- they were absolutely beautiful. Each photograph captured the emotion of the day and I was silently thanking the Gods for giving Daniel & Kate the gift of photography. Hands down, the pictures were just… exquisite.

Thanks to my wife.....I was thinking about getting an average photographer, with an average fee for services. We looked at several photographers available in the OBX area, and had a list of questions that we asked each photographer. We received feedback from all, of course some more detailed than others. Initially we were both on the same page, but she eventually talked me out of it, saying "this is our special day". She wanted to get a photographer with great reviews. We viewed Daniel's work in several OBX wedding publications, and read some very good reviews. OMG....so glad she talked me into going with Daniel Pullen Photography. Just a hair more than I initially planned for but so worth every penny we spent. We had a beach wedding and an outdoor reception. The beach photos and reception photos were just perfect. The quality of the pictures were just amazing. We were so very happy with our entire wedding package that Daniel and Kate put together for us. We had hundreds to choose from. Highly recommended!!!

Daniel & Kate delivered on all on my special requests. They were prepared with each next shot, to help us not waste any unnecessary time from our special day. My husband(who is allergic to a camera lens), was impressed & very comfortable. I recommend Pullen Photography highly!

We had the pleasure of working with Kate and Daniel for our recent wedding in Manteo on the Outer Banks, and could not have been happier that we chose them to photograph our wedding! From the very beginning of the consultation process they took the time to get to know us and our style so that they were able to provide the types of photographs in which we were interested. Together we came up with a VIP list prior to our wedding so that they did not miss any important people/family members in our shots and we got all of the "necessary" family pictures without missing anyone. Our photos are absolutely beautiful, and we have a great mix that of the "standard" portraits and the more artistic shots that we were interested in. Further, they were both completely at ease and not at all intrusive during our event. We got our photos back very quickly and we have gotten so many comments on how beautiful they are! The value of the service they provide is unbelievable. For anyone planning an event on the Outer Banks, it would be a mistake not to check Kate and Daniel's availability for your photography...we would book them again in a heart beat!

Daniel and Kate were amazing! They listened to everything my husband and I wanted for our wedding. Kate made sure to take all the pictures I wanted from the check list, she even visited my pinterest site to get to know us better before the big day. Daniel and Kate made my husband, our bridal party, families and I feel comfortable and happy. We get comments all the time about how wonderful our wedding photos are, we could not be happier with Daniel and Kate!

Our wedding pictures are more beautiful than I could have hope for! Daniel and Kate worked so effortlessly and quietly that I hardly even noticed they were taking pictures throughout the whole day. They captured every perfect moment. They also had a photo booth set up with their own props and it was a hit! The Pullens also did our engagements and my bridal portraits. We plan to work with them for many more years!

I liked that their starting package was a very basic, low priced package and that you could "add on" extra hours or services - I think that was able to give me the best value. I bought the package that included the DVD of pictures and I also added on a "trash the dress shoot" and two additional hours at the reception. The trash the dress photo shoot was a blast! I have never had so much fun! And Daniel is a very creative artist when it came to backgrounds and poses. What impressed me the most was when we were leaving. All of his equipment was packed and ready to go and we were walking off the beach when he stoped and took the time to unloaded everything and take more pictures because he liked the lighting of the sunset in the background. We lucked out the night of our shoot - it was a beautiful day on the beach by the Frisco Pier followed by a gorgeous sunset on the sunside. I was completely comfortable at both locations and the pictures we just received are epic! For the ceremony, Daniel and Kate were very professional. The church we were married in had a ton of rules about photography and the Pullens were already aware and knew what to do - that made one last worry off of my list. It was nice that Daniel was able to be with my husband and his friends while they were getting ready and that his wife, Kate, was with me and my bridesmaids. Between the two of them they never missed a moment or photo opportunity. The reception was just as smooth. Dealing on the business side of things I mostly talked to Casey. She was very helpful in getting me organized. I liked that they had a list ready to go for the formal pictures after the ceremony. It took a while - but that was my fault because I wanted a picture of everyone and everything. If you want to get to the reception quickly I don't see that being a problem with Pullen Photography - they are very concerned with pleasing you and capturing your day exactly how you want! I highly reccommend this company to anyone getting married in the area!

Daniel and Kate are just amazing! You hardly know they are there, but yet they capture every moment! They were there for every important part of the reception and just seemed like part of the crowd. I would pick them if I had to do it all over again, cant imagine using anyone else.

Daniel and Kate offer something that many other wedding vendors don't: honesty. Aside from the amazing photos and family-centered treatment, Kate and Daniel come together. On the day of our wedding, Kate helped to calm my fears, and captured the perfect pictures of me -- laughing with my sister, hugging my mom. Daniel spent the time with the guys -- catching the brotherly affection between my husband and his younger brother.

I can't tell you enough what an amazing team Daniel, Kate, and their staff are at Daniel Pullen Photography! Not only were my pictures the most perfect pictures - exactly what I envision (better really) when we decided to have a destination wedding - but Daniel and Kate really went the extra mile for us to make sure that our pictures were available for our reception when we returned home. They were flexible, and worked with us on location and poses - and helped make our day so memorable! Everyone who has seen them has had nothing but good things to say - and I can't thank them enough for all their hard work. I would gladly recommend them to ANYONE for top-notch, first-class wedding (or otherwise) photography! ...and I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars - because they TRULY deserve it!

My Husband and I are more than happy with our choice to have Daniel and Kate photograph our wedding. Truly Amazing Couple! EVERYONE at the wedding could not stop talking about our photographers. They go above and beyond to capture your day and make you feel like you’re the most important thing to them. We had such a crappy wedding planner and they gave us a free shoot the next day on the beach and when I was impatient for my DVD I ordered from their website and they were sweet enough to send extra pictures for no charge!!!! I will have them take all my pictures from now on. You WONT go wrong with Daniel and Kate!

I've used Daniel and Kate twice now, for our wedding and our one year vow renewal. You know their good when you'll have a photographer twice! I am so happy with every last photo I have and how awesome they were to work with. If there is ever a need for us to have professional photos done again, we are definitely asking Daniel and Kate! A lot of photographers in the OBX had "build your own" wedding packages but their package was the most custom, plus you receive the digital negatives to do small prints or any print when you want. I can't rave enough about them!

My husband and I cannot express how thankful we are that we picked Daniel and Kate for our wedding photographers! We couldn't have asked for anything better and were amazed at the pictures and memories we have!! We would ABSOLUTELY recommend them for any photography needs. We hired Daniel and Kate because we loved their artistic eye, fabulous work, laid back approach, and overall love of the natural beauty of the Outer Banks. We have never regretted that decision! Just got my pictures back this week and we are so happy with how they turned out. Daniel and Kate did an AMAZING job and they are so easy going to work with! All of our guests raved about them that evening, and are raving again now that they've seen the pictures. Daniel has an awesome eye and it really comes out in his photography. We also did a trash the dress session with them a couple days later. The pictures we have from that session made trashing the dress totally worth it. We had our engagment pictures done on the beach in Hatteras and they turned out beautiful. I loved how laid back they were because it helped me not stress out on my wedding day. My husband and I eloped so we planned our whole wedding online. Responses to our requests for information and questions were answered so quickly. On the day of our wedding Daniel and Kate were so awesome. We had so much fun having our wedding photos done on the beach. We absolutely love our photos and Daniel's creative eye.

Kate made everything easy for me, being that I was a out of town bride. Kate had all paper work sent out to me and was only a phone call or email away if I had any questions. Kate and Daniel were amazing to work with. I used them for my bridal photos as well as the wedding/reception photos. Not only were their photos phenomenal, but they were the most easy going vendors I worked with. I used Daniel Pullen Photography for my wedding and they are INCREDIBLE & AMAZING. I got married at sunrise, yes thats right at 5am in the morning on the beach in Buxton NC. Kate and Daniel were there at 4am...talk about dedication to a profession! My pictures are absolutely beautiful and I love every single one of them. They managed to capture all the moments that I will savor forever from that day! I also had engagement pictures taken and a slide show that I showed at my wedding, it was such a great addition to our wedding day. Daniel and Kate were amazing! My wedding was a small (16 guests) beach gathering that was very laid back, with lots of laughs, and Daniel and Kate caught it PERFECTLY! While Daniel was with me and my ladies at the Salon, Kate was at the house photographing the "boys". My husband and I were tickled when we got the album back and were able to see exactly what the other was doing during the "getting ready process". You definately get more than what you pay for! The go above and beyond, and the finished products...amazing!!!! Nothing was posed, which we really liked. It was all just natural. Everytime I look at the photos, I can see/feel the laughter and light spirit of the day. We too were hoping for bright blue skies, but as you know in the Outerbanks, you just never know what the weather will do to you! Daniel and Kate made sure the photos captured everything perfectly. You don't even see the grey skies in the back! I would absolutely hire Daniel and Kate again and have already suggested them to our friends.

My wedding day was amazing. Daniel and Kate Pullen were there to capture it all just the way I wanted it! The hurricane that thankfully became Tropical Storm Danny swept through and Daniel found the most artistic and beautiful way to capture what could have been disappointing to a family that wanted clear skies and rainbows. I can't tell you how excited and amazed I was to see the end results. Daniel and Kate went well beyond what I would have expected. Not one of the 50 people at the wedding went unphotographed, and it was nice to have two photographers present to capture all the perspectives and angles. Due to the weather, my husband and I were invited to a private, second shoot, free of charge, to capture the "newly wed" beach shots that we wanted but couldn't get due to the impending winds and rain post ceremony. Those pictures were fabulous as well. I think it is also important to mention that when returning to PA from Corolla, we had a hometown reception 6 days later and wanted to share our day with those who couldn't be there. Daniel and Kate sent us the photos included in our package, as well as a slideshow of photos to display. They went well beyond our expectations and showed us their love for their work and their customers. Their prices are fair and worth every penny. I would have paid much more had I known the tremendous job they were going to do! We formed a relationship with them that continues long after the wedding. They have calm and comforting auras that made the day run smoothly, and they provided direction when needed. My husband, our families and myself really had a great time and enjoyed their company. If you are looking for a photographer that will put you first, who is fun and finds beauty and art in every circumstance, then I recommend their services above all the rest. I have always felt that when the day is over, your photos will hold the most important memories, and you will always have them to replay the most important day of your life. I promise you will not be disappointed in their ability to capture these moments. They are very special people, and as the saying goes - "If you are lucky enough to know them - then you are lucky enough!"

There is nothing like looking at your photos from a day that can never be replayed and being 100% satisfied.....There were VERY reasonable price wise for the photos recieved.....I glad that I was able to have a copy of all the photos because I would of never been able to decide because they were all GREAT....Daniel did an execellent job being at the wedding and taking photos but never knowing that he was even there....He stayed longer than he had anticipated to make sure we got all of our key shots taken care of .....Once again I can't say enough good things about them.....Andrea and Brandon Sloan
