I don't know where to begin with my raving review of this hotel...It all started with my initial visit to pick a wedding venue. I met Sissi Ortiz and when I say that she is amazing...
, I mean every bit of it. She treated me as a family member and made sure that I was happy every step of the six months leading up to my wedding. Sissi, you will always have a special place in my heart and I wish nothing but happiness and blessings to you and your family. Every time I asked her something, her response was, "Let me see what I can do". As a frazzled bride, her words comforted me and she did everything that she could do to make my day special and that it was. ALL of my guests had a wonderful time and ALL of the staff were friendly, polite, energetic and professional. Darrell, you know that I have to talk about you because you made check in a wonderful experience for me and all of my guests. After getting off an early plane ride, your smile, demeanor, jokes and friendly presence let me know that I chose the best hotel in Miami. You always greeted me with a smile and a high five and that was very comforting. Thank you Darrell and can't wait to see you again for my next visit to Miami. Sissi and Darrell, you know that everyone loved my room. My room became the party headquarters LOL. Carlos, I did not have a chance to personally meet you because I was all over the place but ALL of my guests met you and loved you and that passion fruit margarita something or another and the chicken wings LOL. You were a great bartender and you kept the drinks flowing for my drinks. Sorry, if we took up the whole bar area for three days LOL. On the day of my wedding, the staff sprung into action and everything was executed to a T from the setup to the end of the reception. All in all, sixty guests are very pleased with this hotel. Food was amazingly delicious! We received many compliments from our guests both on the quality and quantity! Lester the Banquet Mgr as well as Maeva the Hotel event manager were easily accessible throughout the planning process, always pleasant and very accommodating. I highly recommend them!

was large and nice, but many of my guests complained that it was too hot. The hors devours were delicious, but not enough. I had chosen beef tenderloin, but never saw them and none of my guests have confirmed they had them either. Instead we had vegetable rolls. The salad and chicken for dinner was delicious. I have gotten so many compliments from my guests on the dinner. The best part of booking with the Sofitel is how many outside vendors they include for the price- open bar, chairs, linens, and cake. Our chair cushions were changed to a navy blue instead of royal blue, which was disappointing. The cake was great, except they added a black ribbon around the layers. The linens were the only vendor who provided what we requested. One of our bars closed 30 minutes early and was rude to my guests. Thankfully the other bartender stayed open and was respectful to my guests. Overall, Sammy worked very well with us and provided us what we requested. The complimentary suite the night of the wedding was beautiful and so nice to relax in after such a long day. I would recommend the Sofitel to other brides. My only suggestion to all brides is to be sure of what you want, double and triple check all your quotes/invoices, and make sure you are given what you ask for.

My Mother was running late with some of the decorations for the tables and the staff immediately took the box from her and told her not to worry about a thing, that they would take care of it. When we arrived back from the ceremony for the reception everything was perfectly set up.
I chose this venue because i felt like it took care of everything. I was a bride with no planner so to me that was perfect because it took away so much of the stress of having to deal with many vendors. Yvonne was also amazing, she really guided me through as i was a pretty lost bride. I would definitely recommend this to any bride, especially those who don't have a planner and who like things to be as simple as possible.

Food was served on time, guests had plenty of refreshments readily available and the overall facility was clean throughout the entire night.

I gave him a written list of things I wanted to get donw the day of my event and even drew out a diagram of how I wanted my set up, including how I wanted each table set up. The day of my wedding I was very upset as I walked into the ballroom and realized he had forgot to place my glass charger plates on the tables (which I paid $4.25 for each). He also forgot to put 2 bars for cocktail hour (which I also paid for) this made the line for drinks extremely long since I had 140 guests. He has not even returned my phone calls and I basically lost my $600.00 worth of chargers! NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL!!!
