Purdon’s made a great first impression. They were more affordable than other quotes I got and there was prompt communication before and after the first meeting. After we paid our deposit, however, responsiveness was rare and inadequate. Two times nearing our wedding date, I had to stop in to get questions answered adequately when this could have been achieved in an email, but emails were going either fully or partially unanswered. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know the entire wedding industry is just crazy right now and trusted them to see my wedding through with more thoughtful care. They arrived to set up our venue 2 hours from Lexington and were missing several items including linens and tables. When I called to inquire, we determined that there had been a miscommunication between which tables we ordered. We made do with what was sent and let it go. However, we also ordered three compact heaters for our event. This was done over the phone and confirmed. When the order arrived, we were delivered two incredibly loud, industrial size heaters which were also incredibly ugly. These were not what we ordered. When I called to inquire about this issue, I was received with a disrespectful tone and accusations. That conversation concluded with the planner I was working with promising me “if [she] had to personally buy and deliver the compact heaters herself, [she] would take care of it.” This was not taken care of, more excuses were made, and I didn’t hear from her again. I’m obviously incredibly disappointed in the service we received. We are still receiving bills from Purdon’s and when asked for itemized statements to understand why we are being billed, these emails go unanswered. Please do not trust Purdon’s with your wedding. This was THE ONLY vendor I had that I had a bad experience with and I’m disappointed in myself for trusting them with our wedding. If you do use Purdon’s, be sure to comb through every fine detail of the contract and understand each item thoroughly. I put far too much trust in them to do what they said and was taken advantage of.

Working with Purdon’s was truly a breeze. They had everything we needed to setup our big 200-person tented backyard wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception). The staff was also extremely responsive and flexible for when we needed to make additions and changes to our original order. Katlyn is such a sweetheart too and really knows what you need to achieve the vision you’re going for! She was texting me the entire week of our wedding to make sure we were set. We supplied pretty much everything we needed for all 3 of our wedding events. I would say the only issue we had was some of our tables and chairs were a little worn and beat up and could use some sanding and fresh paint to get knicks out, but luckily as the night went on and it got dark out you really didn’t notice. Otherwise, we were super happy with our experience and everything we got!

Our wedding planner recommended Purdon's and they were awesome and definitely reasonably priced! She did much of the coordination, but they were super flexible, especially after we had to postpone our wedding a year due to the pandemic. Their team was so sweet every time I would call and everything looked beautiful on our wedding day! Can't thank them enough :)

Katlyn, Bethany and the whole team at Purdon's were wonderful. They we're knowledgable, nice and unbelievably quick to respond. With all the COVID mandates, I changed/reduced my wedding more times than I can count. They were always understanding and still managed to help make my wedding vision a reality.
