SHE set the schedule starting at 9am and ending at 230pm. Fast forward to the day of, she got there on time to set up and she did my mom and friend and my makeup, we were having a good time. However, I asked her if she wanted to see the picture again of how I wanted my hair before she started and she declined. So I said okay, thinking I guess she’s got this, and she started. I did notice she was running a little behind schedule at this point, but figured it wasn’t enough for concern… until my mom realized she was giving me the wrong hairstyle. At this point, I start panicking because my sister’s hair still needed to be done, and we were supposed to be leaving soon. She ended up finishing both of our hair but didn’t finish until 4pm (when we were supposed to be done at 230). So naturally we were all anxious and I just wanted to cry. Also, I missed out on getting ANY getting ready pictures with my mom sister and two friends because we had no time, I was literally rushing to get my dress on and get out the door. It really hurts because I will never get that chance back for those photos, nor did I get any after photos from her as I was supposed to. On top of all that, it rained so hard that I didn’t get a picture of my dress like I wanted to when getting ready before it got ruined by the rain. The one thing that has really stung since is that I never heard from her again. I thought that surely I would at least get a follow up email saying she was sorry and hope my elopement went well, but it’s been a month and I’ve heard nothing. What’s even crazier is on top of the expensive prices and travel fee, she added her own gratuity, and we were offered nothing for our troubles. It really sucks that things turned out that way because we were having such a good time until then, and I just ended up so stressed and missing out on things I’ll never get back.
