Melissa & Sue are absolutely PHENOMENAL! My older sister used them for her wedding & we had such a wonderful time. My hair & makeup stayed all day and night- I have never felt so beautiful!

I worked with Renee (for makeup) and Stephanie (for hair) and 2 other HMUAs, along with my 8 bridesmaids, mom and mother in law. They were AMAZING to say the least! So professional, prompt, sweet and fun to be around! A pleasure to work with before the day of and the day of. Our hair and makeup lasted all night long and was GORGEOUS! Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

I booked Sue and her team for hair for my wedding and can not begin to put into words how amazing the experience was from start to finish. My bridesmaids, myself and my mom all have extremely different types of hair and her team was able to make everyone look perfect and fulfill their visions. Everyone's styles stayed throughout the entire day/night. I also booked touch up services with Sue for the day-of and recommend this - she was SO helpful, comforting and I could not have hoped for a better experience!

Pure Bridal Beauty was amazing to work with! I used Sue for hair and Melissa for makeup. I called them my dream team because that’s what they truly are! They were both so amazing to work with and I felt so special every step of the way. Melissa did an amazing job keeping my look natural but elevated it for the special day! Even my mom who hates makeup’s was obsessed with her look! Sue was a dream. I changed my look 3 months before the wedding and Sue was so sweet and supportive during the process. Melissa and Steph were great and were able to keep with the timeline for my large group of bridesmaids. I had 10 people including myself have hair and makeup done. My hair and makeup stayed flawless all day and night long which was amazing considering it was one of the hottest days of the year and pictures were outside. From my initial consultation with Melissa, to my Engagement Pics (I did my trial for this), to the wedding day, this entire team was nothing short of amazing. My bridal party was large, and they were able to make everyone look exactly how they wanted, and even stayed for touch ups afterwards, even though they got there at 6:30 in the morning! They made me feel like a Queen the entire day. My hair and make up stayed the entire day and night, even after sweating and dancing and the constant weather change! Sue had some great suggestions for my hairstyle like adding extensions and a little bit of volume which made all the difference. I literally don’t even know where to begin! I had Renée from Pure Bridal Beauty as my wedding MUA and I can honestly say- I felt like the most beautiful bride in the entire world- Renée is flawless with her technique, she pays attention to detail- she also does not just do her own thing and not listen to your requests- you can show her an inspo picture- and she will still be thorough and ask you down to specifics “what is your skin like? do you like more of a matte or dewy look? How do you typically like your brows?” And if you don’t have an answer- she uses her best judgment and absolutely kills the makeup game. She is so incredibly sweet, caring, and will fix something right away if you are not fond of it. She wants you to love every single piece and she will not disappoint. I’d also like to add I was worried a few months ago because I wanted to go in a different direction for my makeup artist and I was referred to Renée by my hair stylist and not only did she squeeze me in to her schedule- she made me feel like I was so important and consistently answered any questions I had leading up to the big day! She is truly such a skilled and incredibly amazing makeup artist and I would refer her to everyone. I was lucky enough to have Melissa and Sue for my wedding hair and makeup. I knew from my first phone call with Melissa I needed to hire her. She answered all of my questions with patience and is so friendly and kind. I had two trials with them - the second was to test my look out with the extensions. At my first trial I tried two different styles and really appreciated Sue's to the point "nope this isn't it!" on a style I THOUGHT i wanted. I fully trusted them and their advice. On the wedding day they executed my look perfectly. I truly couldn't have asked for anything more. I felt so glammed up but also like myself at the same time. I hired Melissa and Sue to stay with me for the entire day and I am so glad I did. It was unexpectedly 90 degrees that day and I never once felt panicked about my hair or makeup getting ruined because they were there for touch ups. They also fanned me and helped air my dress out when I got overheated - they do it all! 😂 I kept my bridal party small to keep the wedding day vibe calm and my nerves at a minimum and they were the perfect accompaniment of that. They both have the best energy and I'm truly happy that my wedding day memories will include them.

Melissa and Sue were amazing to work with! I had a trial with them and they captured exactly what I wanted. Almost two years later (thanks COVID!), they recreated that look exactly! I was so happy with the hair and makeup and got countless compliments. I also really appreciated that they honored my two postponements from COVID without a problem (really appreciated during such a stressful time). Melissa, Steph, and their whole makeup and hair team were AMAZING! Besides the fact that their work was fantastic, my whole bridal party looked gorgeous. They came in and made the room to their liking and then got to work. They were a well oiled machine and made sure all of my girls felt special and had everything done to their liking. Melissa was so great leading up to my day, answering any questions I had regarding set up, timeline, and what lipstick to get for touchups. She was so sweet throughout the whole process to make sure the day went smoothly. Steph was so knowledgable about hair and made my dream hair come true. She gave great suggestions for where to get my extensions. She also made sure everyone got a one over touch up before heading out so all of our curls were fresh. I had an INCREDIBLE experience working with Sue for my wedding this past summer! For starters, she worked miracles on my hair, styling an up-do from my short bob. I trusted her completely and she delivered - my hair held the entire night too. From trial to wedding day, Sue was communicative, punctual, and answered ALL of my questions. She was always one step ahead - when I started feeling the wedding planning fatigue, she was the one to reach out to make sure I was all set and help with my day of schedule. Amazing. Pure Bridal Beauty is AMAZING. Professional, kind, artistic, organized and EXTREMELY talented. Not to toot my own horn but I felt beyond beautiful the day of my wedding. Melissa and Sue are the best. I did two trials for my hair because I wasn’t sure which way I wanted to go (up or down) and Sue was there to walk me through the process. I don’t wear a lot of make up – I am a mascara and chapstick kind of girl – Melissa listened to me and helped me peak out of comfort zone and I never felt more gorgeous. I was also scared to get my make up done (bad experience) and wow Melissa took my fear and flipped it around. Time line – listen to their time line – they know what they’re talking about!!! I am a late sleeper – Melissa said 8am start so that we could be done as soon as the photographer got there and she was right on the money. I would recommend pure bridal beauty to everyone. They are truly the best out there.

Stephanie did my hair along with my two MOH's and my mom for my wedding on 10/2 and everyone looked amazing! Stephanie is so sweet and easy to work with. I did two trials with her before my date because I decided I wanted to do extensions and she was so helpful in finding extensions that worked for me! She also came all the way to the venue for touch ups and did a great job. I highly recommend Stephanie!

Melissa is the sweetest and most professional makeup artist I have come across! She was referred to me by my bridal hair artist when I was looking for an artist for my wedding. During the trial, she did exactly what I wanted and offered her own suggestions without being aggressive (which is what I experienced with some other artists). I told her about my experience with another artist who insisted she knew what I should look like and did everything the opposite of what I asked. Mel listened to exactly what I wanted and took the pictures I showed her into account. I was so in love with my trial look that I booked her right away for my two big wedding events. Both days she made me and my mom so comfortable and made us both look and feel amazing. She’s reliable, punctual, and professional. She’s versatile and can do subtle as well as dramatic looks. She’s just amazing.

Sue and her team were amazing! I first met Sue at a friend's wedding and I knew instantly I wanted her to do my hair whenever I got married. I was so happy and felt so beautiful on my special day and couldn't imagine my wedding day without her!

I met Sue at one of my best friends weddings while she was doing my hair as a bridesmaid. At that moment I knew she was going to be my go-to hair girl. She is UNREAL! I had booked her for my wedding and it was the absolute BEST decision I made. She made me look like an actual princess. My hair has never looked the way it did on my wedding day and I owe it all to her. Now onto my bridesmaids- EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. was ON POINT. Not a single hair was out of place. Everyone’s hair stayed all night. Not one touch up was needed at all. She is a TOP TIER hair stylist and I will forever refer her and her team to everyone I know. I cannot thank her enough for everything she’s done and continues to do for me. Simply the best.

Where to even begin with Sue?! I first met Sue back when we did a styled shoot together sometime in 2017 maybe? She was the warmest and most easy going person ever, and just a joy to be around. Her work was also so gorgeous so I began referring her, hoping to work with her again in the future. When I got engaged Sue became my go-to hair girl. All of my weddings 😉, engagement session, and bridal shower - she was my girl on call ready to do something with this mop on my head. I have been telling everyone that will listen that since my wedding day was 100 degrees with 100% humidity having Sue stay until the end of cocktail hour was THE smartest thing I ever did for our wedding. She not only touched up my curls throughout the day but any bridesmaids or parents that needed a little love after sweating in the heat. She even changed my hair style during cocktail hour for a cool reception look, as well as my Mom and MOH. She took some amazing behind the scenes shots and was just a familiar face / support system throughout the whole day. I can go on and on about my love for Sue but honestly there aren't enough words. Forever grateful for her and her talent!!!

I can not say enough good things about Melissa and her team. Melissa is extremely professional and talented. She perfected creating a look that lasted me the whole day (in the hot sun), all while creating a very natural and fresh look. It was exactly what I envisioned. Melissa made coordinating the day effortless. Her team was timely and the girls and I never felt rushed. At the trial, I felt like I was hanging out with one of my girl friends. I would 1000% book her again if I had to do it all over.

I only used them for make up as I already had a hair team. My MUA was Melissa and she is incredible. Not only is she excellent at doing make up and she is so thoughtful, sweet and sincere. She was amazingly flexible with my changing dates, multiple trials and even a last minute add on for bridesmaid makeup! I did two trials because I went from a fall wedding to a summer wedding so I wanted a slightly different look. I should mention here that I have combination skin that gets super greasy after a few hours and I wear barely any face make up regularly. I loved my trial but by the end of the day was face was super greasy. I chatted with Melissa that night and she assured me she would mix things up and that would not happen on wedding day. And let me tell you…. She worked some serious magic and My make up looked incredible and was glued to my face. I got married on a humid 90+ degree day, I sweat from the minute I walked outside my house at 12pm until we are done dancing at 12am and my make up stayed the entire night. Also, the other MUAs (Renee & Kristi) she brought were incredible as well. They were all so sweet and everyone looked amazing! Lastly, my bridal party was massive. They did 15 people for make up and everything ran unbelievably smooth and we were done with plenty of time to spare. Seriously, They are wonderful, Melissa is a gem and you cannot go wrong with choosing pure bridal beauty on your big day! 💕

I do not have enough good things to say about Pure Bridal Beauty, and specifically Melissa and Sue. I hired Melissa and Sue for my 7/10/21 wedding and it was the best decision I ever made. From the first phone call with both of them I immediately felt comfortable and felt like I could trust them whole heartedly with my hair and make up on my wedding day. They went above and beyond my expectations and truly made me look and feel absolutely beautiful. The whole process with them was so seamless and they captured my vision perfectly on my trials and even more so on my wedding day. Every single person in my wedding party (including both mothers) were in love with their hair and make up. My bridesmaids still bring up their hair and make up to me and tell Me it is the best they ever had (all of them having been bridesmaids in other weddings or brides of their own). Not only are Melissa and Sue absolutely amazing at what they do, they are also exactly who you want to start your day with. They’re both so kind and easy to get along with and were laughing and having fun with all of us all morning. Not to mention theyre the best hype queens and made us all feel like rockstars. Not once did I feel stressed or rushed and I attribute that to the atmosphere they created from the get go. Not to mention I had 12 females plus myself who were getting hair and make up. After having trusted them on the most important day of my life I promise you I am going to find excuses to book them again just to feel like a beauty queen. Long review short, RUN do not walk to booking Sue and Melissa, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT !

Mel & Sue we’re both amazing! They were great to work with from the start and were also so accommodating when I had to switch my July 2020 date to 2021 due to Covid. Mel took so much time speaking with me and taking to me about my skin concerns. She made me feel so confident the day of my wedding, and my skin never looked better! I also tend to squint in pictures and the makeup really made my eyes pop and lasted all day and night! Sue was also great and I was amazed that my curls stayed perfect and my hair did not frizz at all! The extensions also really brought everything together. I worked with Melissa and Maria for the past 2 years after having to postpone for covid and then getting married in a hurricane! I can’t say enough great things about them. Sue is an absolute amazing person to have be apart of your wedding day. Sue is nothing short of professional and personable. Sue is easily the best vendor with communication, anytime I would email or text her, she would answer within a few hours, if not quicker! During my trial with Sue, she made my vision come to life, and more. On the day of my wedding, (May 15, 2021) Sue was early and ready to start, all while being 8 months pregnant! Everyone in my bridal party was super happy with how their hair came out. Choosing Sue for hair, was one decision I was extremely confident in the entire time planning. If I could do everything again, I would still pick Sue 100 times! My maid of honor loved how her hair came out so much, she even booked Sue for her upcoming wedding! :p I was on the fence about putting in extensions, but Sue made me feel confident in wearing them and made me feel and look super beautiful.

Melissa (makeup) and Sue (hair) were the perfect team for my COVID wedding! We had to downsize our original plans but opted for a micro-wedding last November and the girls were so helpful throughout the whole process. Before the event, booking was a breeze, they were super responsive, incredibly helpful with my many, many questions and I felt incredibly safe with the COVID precautions they were taking. I'd highly recommend scheduling a trial with these two ladies as it helped me fine-tune the look I eventually ended up with and both of the girls were so patient in making minor changes that day until I was really happy and knew exactly what I wanted for my actual wedding look. They were also able to incorporate things we hadn't even discussed at the trial but I noticed about the look after I left their studio, and did so seamlessly! They were also incredibly flexible in booking the trial as I had to make certain decisions about the wedding kind of last minute and they made sure they found time to book a trial for me. Day of, they showed up at my venue on time and had such a fun yet calming energy which was exactly what I needed (especially considering I had to get ready by myself without my bridal party or family present). They were super complimentary yet everything they did and said felt so genuine, and I felt like they really wanted to make me happy. It never felt like a business transaction, and so much more like 2 girlfriends hanging out and helping me look and feel beautiful. I couldn't have been happier with the finished look and would definitely recommend their team to anyone looking for a beauty vendor! In fact, if we do end up hosting a larger more traditional wedding in 2021, I'll be sure to call on their services again!

Renee and Sue did an amazing job with makeup and hair on my wedding day. At my trial I was adamant I would have my hair half up half down for my wedding day. Sue even tweaked it a few times until I was completely satisfied. Then completely last minute I found a gorgeous hair piece that didn't make sense with a half up half down look and started debating if I needed another hair trial so close to the wedding day. Texting Renee and Sue last minute ideas with the picture of my hair piece, we decided to go with a completely different hairstyle, NO trial, just winged it. My hair turned out even better than expected! My makeup was flawless. Renee was so patient with me throughout the whole process and always made sure I was happy with the result. Maria and Renee were recommended to me through a family friend and after one conversation with them, I knew I didn’t need to look any further for my wedding beauty team. Maria and Renee are true professionals. They are both easy going, knowledgeable and experts of their craft. They are creative and are great at executing the perfect look. Being a 2020 bride, moving forward with what we could do and constantly making changes, I found Maria and Renee were my biggest cheerleaders in making it all work. They were flexible with my bridal party and catered to each of them on what they were comfortable with, given that were doing this in the middle of the pandemic. They were definitely the key factor in making everyone getting ready with me to feel comfortable. I was really able to lean on Maria and Renee for advice, guidance and what I like to call “bridal therapy” while re-plainning my wedding day. Maria and Renee are an incredibly talented team that you would be lucky to have be a part of your special day.

Stylists were professional and lovely to work with! They were print with any questions I had and were fun to be around and made you feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Sue is the best! From the hair trials, to my engagement photos, to the wedding day she has been nothing but fun, helpful and amazing. I'm so obsessed with the wedding look she pulled off for me, it felt so solid (never fell!) and yet looked so beautiful and was soft to the touch! Sue is so talented and made all the moms and bridesmaids look and feel so great too. I will be looking for more excuses to have my hair done just to work with her again!

I found Melissa when I was searching for potential vendors, my husband and I met while he was working here in New York, long story short we filed for a fiance visa, 90 days to get married once he got here...not much time to plan a wedding especially on the East End at the end of the summer! The first time I talked to Melissa she was wonderful and so understanding when I explained why I didn't have a date and how quickly we had to plan a wedding once my husband was here again. Melissa came for my make up trial, listened to what I wanted and did an amazing job! We had our engagement shoot that day and my make up held up beautifully!! Maria was a wedding vendor angel! I found her based on other bridal reviews/recommendations and couldn’t haven been happier. I had a trial with Maria where she thoroughly discussed what I wanted l for the big day and what would look best with my dress and vision. We tried multiple styles, and she even gave recommendations for affordable jeweled hair pieces. On the day of, she was the most chill, fun and talented stylist I could have asked for, she listened to what me and my girls wanted, worked at an amazing pace and created beautiful hairstyles. I first met Melissa and MariaAngela for my cousins wedding which I was a bridesmaid in. They were the two most down to earth people I have ever met. I knew that when I got married they were who I was going to use hands down. The time finally came and I saw them again at the Fox Hollow expo. They remembered me right away and put me down for the date of my wedding and a hair and makeup trial. They were so easy to work with and coordinate a day which worked. Fast forward to my wedding day. I had the obvious nerves and these two ladies put me so at ease as soon as I hit the chair. Maria did exactly what I wanted and them some. She gave me the most perfect “Hollywood waves” a girl could ask for. They lasted the entire night and even till the following morning. She made my headpiece stand out and went perfect with the style I wanted. Melissa gave me the most glamorous look I could have ever imagined. I am a big makeup person and she went above and beyond anything I could have expected. She knows exactly what I mean and I would forever be greatful. One year ago today, Melissa and Maria made me feel like the most beautiful bride. They conducted a hair and makeup trial at the comfort of my own home so I knew exactly how everything was going to look. On the big day, these stylists were able to get myself and the bridal party looking amazing without any issues. I would definitely use them for any future events!

I had a wonderful experience working with Pure Bridal Beauty! From our very first conversation, Melissa eased any and all of my anxieties and answered every question big or small. When my previously booked hair stylist fell through, Melissa did not skip a beat and connected me with Maria who was equally as accommodating - it was pretty last minute! Both of my trials (makeup & hair) were so much fun. Melissa and Maria took the time to listen to what I had envisioned and completely nailed it! I woke up on my wedding day without a worry and knew the look would come together with Pure Bridal Beauty on my team. I’d also just like to add that we were coming from out of state and Maria & Melissa had to travel as well. They asked me for a general timeline of the day, put the itinerary together, brought an extra stylist and arrived early & ready to go. I did not have to worry about a thing! My bridesmaids loved them as well and were SO happy with their hair and makeup. Our day of getting ready was so relaxed and I truly credit Pure Bridal for being a big part of that reason why!

Melissa and her team are so flexible and really listen to the person they are working with to make them look their best. I think the best example of this is my older sister and I. For me, I wanted to look natural because I usually don't wear much make up. She got the look exactly as I wanted and was willing to add on or take off as the look was made. My sister is the opposite. She is the glitz and the glam. She looked incredible as my MOH; so much so that she booked them for her upcoming wedding as well. No matter what look you are going for they can get you there. Melissa and her team had her hands full with my bridal party but never once seem flustered. We had an extra girl add on to getting her make up done day of and she made it work- AND we were on time. On top of all this they were so self sufficient. They brought everything they needed, were a few minutes early, had an excellent flow for the wedding morning and kept us all calm. They cleared up their stations and it was like they were never there; we were able to use the area for pictures immediately. On a morning that can easily be stressful their calmness helped make my wedding morning even more special - I got to enjoy our getting ready time. Lastly, they are all women you would want to hang out with which is really good as hair and make up mornings are a lot of together time =)

Melissa and Susan were the perfect team to have with me on my wedding day ! they are both super friendly and listened to me and my girls and did exactly what everyone asked for . Pure Bridal Beauty made my wedding morning stress free! I had a pretty large bridal party of 7 girls plus myself. They also did hair and makeup for my aunt. They did hair and makeup for everyone in a hotel room and at did it 4am! Still everything went super smoothly. At one point we even blew a fuse in the hotel room which they quickly adapted to and fixed for us. Can’t say enough about their flexibility and their professionalism. Also everyone’s hair and makeup turned out beautiful. I don’t think a single one of my girls was unhappy. As someone who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup and has never had their hair styled professionally they did exactly what I asked for while also making recommendations and I loved the way it turned out. Everyone was able to choose their own hair styles and they were able to do anything they asked for. They are also super personable and fun. Would totally recommend 10/10!

Working with Pure Bridal Beauty was the best decision I made for my wedding. I felt comfortable expressing my thoughts and what I wanted out of my look for my special day. I also loved hearing suggestions from Mel and Sue about how to improve and enhance my look. I loved them so much I had them do my hair for my engagement shoot and shower! Sue did my trial and I loved my hair. She was so easy to talk with and listened to exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately I had to postpone my wedding and she is no longer available for my new date but any brides thinking of booking her you won’t be disappointed! I’m so happy I found Melissa! When she first came over for the trial I immediately loved her warm personality that made me feel so comfortable, we trialed different looks and took time to figure out what worked for me. The week of the wedding I realized I wanted to have my makeup done for our rehearsal dinner as we had a large dinner with family/out of towners. Melissa came over and did my makeup perfectly that night giving me the confidence I needed Day of the wedding, a few of my bridesmaids were unsure if they wanted get their makeup done but as soon as they saw her work on the first girl they all decided to do it! Words cannot possibly describe how amazing my glam squad was. Melissa made sure that my makeup was on point, listened to me wanting to tone down the eyeshadow color on the day of the wedding, and made the process so easy for me. Maria, I wish I I could truly describe how I felt about my hair. It was simply stunning and exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Not only where these girls extremely sweet, they answered my texts and emails right away! Maria did my hair, we did a completely different look for my trial but on my wedding day we did something so stunning to go around the hair piece I wanted to wear! It came out so flawless and lasted all night. And the price was very reasonable! Renee did my wedding makeup, it was absolutely stunning! It lasted all night and was exactly what I Imagined it would be. If I wanted something changed or touched up she did not hesitate to change it to what I wanted. These girls were absolutely amazing. I highly recommend!! My husband said he’s never seen me look more beautiful. It was the best day ever.

Hands down THE best team. Not only are they absolutely amazing at what they do, they made the day of such a great experience (& for me, the months/year leading up to it). I don’t even know where to begin to express how incredible my experience was with Renee and Sue. Their talent and overall positive energy made me feel calm and more beautiful than I ever felt for my bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and most importantly my wedding day. Melissa is wonderful. Not only is she a gifted make up artist, she is also an extremely kind and relatable person. She is truly patient and calm. She and her team handled my crew of 8 bridesmaids, MOG, GMOG, my aunt and 2 cousins with grace. Everyone looked beautiful and naturally radiant. No one looked uncomfortable or fake. Melissa is great with time management skills. Everyone was ready with time to spare. I still keep in touch with her, and I have truly learned so much about make up and beauty from knowing her!
