5 stars is simply NOT ENOUGH! Mr. Humes, created such a unforgettable night for myself and husband—words cannot express! His communication is top tier and he goes WAAAYY above and beyond to ensure your wedding day is everything you wanted it to be! He’s professional, he’s intuitive, he can read a room, and he keeps your guests wanting more! My reception was jammed pack until the very end! Pure Event Group—Yes yes and YESSSSSSS!!!!!

The Pure Events Group was AMAZING for our wedding! From planning and preparing to our reception, Jerry was always on top of things. During every phone call, he took the time to walk through things with us and make suggestions based on what he thought would work best. Aside from our entrance songs and our first dance song, we did not give Jerry a playlist because we wanted him to pick songs that would keep the party alive all night. That’s just what he did. We also had a guitarist play during our cocktail hour and Jerry worked with him to make sure he had everything that he needed. We could be happier with our decision to work with him! Jerry is truly amazing! We scheduled a few phone calls during the planning process to ensure he understood my vision. Then the day of, everything ran so smoothly and he got people dancing from the moment the reception started all the way until midnight! I seriously didn’t want to step off the dance floor the entire night; there wasn’t a single song I didn’t enjoy. He is also the biggest hype man during announcements! Would highly recommend! I’ve been to so many weddings where the DJ or the music sucks and in turn, the wedding isn’t fun. I’m a little biased, but I’d say mine was the most fun wedding I’ve ever been to and Jerry was a big part of that! Highly recommend!

Jerry Humes is amazing! Our daughter received so many compliments at their wedding and everyone mentioned how awesome the DJ was! He had everyone up and dancing the ENTIRE NIGHT! No one wanted to sit down! So happy we went with the photo booth too, as it was a huge hit! He also supplied the sound system for the ceremony, since the one at the church wasn't working properly. True lifesaver! We couldn't be happier, and so grateful for his energy plus the insight and advice leading up to the big day. Thank you!!

Jerry DJ'd our wedding in May 2019 and was AWESOME. He worked with us ahead a time and was willing to do everything remotely since we were planning from a couple states away. He was always quick to respond and totally professional. His passion for what he does is SO evident. He really worked to get to know us and what we were all about, and merged our musical interests with what he knew would prove to be a good time for our guests. His website for prepping our song list and timeline was easy to use (and edit), and we also used him for photobooth services. This was a hit with the guests - I do recommend getting an attendant as they help make sure the photos look nice and keep things moving along. The website for accessing these after the fact was also super easy to use. I would recommend Jerry in a heartbeat for anyone looking for an awesome event!

WOW! The party of the decade went down at our New Year's Eve wedding reception thanks to Jerry of Pure Events Group! He not only completely transformed our venue with gorgeous uplighting, he kept all of our guests engaged, and he kept the events of the night running smooth! The best part..song selection, his palpable excitement, mixing songs right into the next, keeping our dance floor PACKED all night, the indoor firework style lighting effects! Jerry was AWESOME! I attended a handful of weddings he was the DJ at and knew I needed him to be the DJ at my wedding and he didn't let us down. We got so many compliments on his services as well - I would highly recommend!

Jerry was absolutely the best choice for our wedding. He made himself available for multiple in person and phone meetings to discuss what we were looking for when it came to song choices, feel of the evening, and additional extras like indoor sparklers and a photobooth. (The photo booth was by far the best add on we had - we loved getting to see our guests open up and be goofy and it gave them a great souvenir.) His energy is incredible and truly made our wedding feel fresh and lively, not stuffy and like every other wedding. The forms he has available to fill out about the day also took a lot of stress out of the prepping and helped me figure out moments we hadn't even considered. We continue to get compliments from our guest saying this is one of the best weddings they've ever been to and I truly believe that's because Jerry was there to keep the night flowing.

If I could give them 100 stars our of 5, I would! Jerry was PHENOMENAL!!!! Jerry and his team absolutely MADE our reception. From the beginning, Jerry was easy to work with, very personable, professional, and extraordinarily talented. It was obvious to us that DJ-ing is not just a profession but it is his passion and his craft. This is not a DJ that simply presses a “play” button – this is a DJ that knows how to read a room, knows people, and knows exactly how to bring life into a room while also making the evening very special and meaningful. He was very open to all our ideas and honored all of our personal requests. All of his equipment and music preparations were well organized and he was very dependable. He made our wedding reception an absolute blast and kept the dance floor, literally, overflowing from the start to the finish! He was very receptive to every request and made sure to make our night very personal and special. Not only were his music selections spot on and his mixing perfectly timed, but he is also very talented on the mic. He was well organized and made all of our introductions special and fun. Jerry truly goes above and beyond. We expected his services to be great, but they were exceptional. Throughout the entire night, Jerry made a point to find not only us (the bride and groom), but both of our sets of parents, to make sure we were all having a great time, brought us drinks, and asked for feedback. Jerry went above and beyond to make this a phenomenal reception and ensured that we were well taken care of. I would recommend Pure Events Group to everyone I know and would absolutely argue that this is, by far, THE BEST entertainment company in the area! Cannot say enough about our experience with them! Jerry did an excellent job of Introductions, uplights, special effects, an awesome photo booth- he does it all! The dance floor was packed the entire night. One conversation w Jerry and you will understand his passion for music and for what he does clearly shows through! WOW- thank you Jerry and your team for making our wedding reception so memorable.... Jerry DJ’ed our after party and ROCKED THAT out too! He went above our expectations (we literally were expecting a small speaker with music at the after party!) and he brought lighting and special effects there too. Jerry is the ONLY DJ you should hire in the Canton/Akron/Cleveland area for you wedding or event!! He DJ’d both of my sister’s weddings and I knew that he was the only DJ I would hire for my own wedding (seriously, I would’ve worked our wedding date around his availability). He knows what he is doing and is so passionate about what he does. He was extremely personable and was available anytime we needed him. He even made two trips to Cleveland to visit our venue without any hesitation. He worked with us a week before the wedding to create a timeline and get an idea of what kind of music we wanted to play. We made a Spotify playlist and he pretty much played every song we requested and then some! He knows how to play a crowd and how to get people out on the dance floor. Not only did he play the best music, his lighting was on point at all times. We have been to a handful of weddings with mediocre DJ’s and in my opinion, the DJ will make or break your wedding. Jerry 100% MAKES it. We had so many compliments from our guests and even other vendors! I highly recommend him to everyone! You will not be disappointed!!

We had no clue how to pick a DJ for our wedding, but picked Pure Events on a gut instinct after meeting with Jerry. Turns out he blew all of our expectations away. He was so helpful in adapting to the night no matter what we threw at him. An amazing MC, and DJ with equipment that impressed. He was able to read the room, keep the party going, and play something for everyone to enjoy. Midway through the planning he offered to add a Photo Booth to the DJ package, and once again it turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the night. It was an open air booth with a backdrop, physical props, and digital props, so people could pop in and out so seamlessly, we have so many amazing group photos from this that we would have never gotten without it. Out of the entire evening, the DJ was the thing we got the most compliments on. You can't go wrong picking Pure Events Group!

The DJ/entertainment was the one thing we were most worried about (we have had some horror stories at other family's weddings), but it ended up being the BEST part about our night! Jerry was so passionate about the entire process and made us feel like we were the only wedding all year. He cared more about the emcee portion and lighting than he did the music, but all were fantastic. He provides you with a website to fill everything out and request all the music you want, including the "do not play list." He nailed every single part of the reception and kept everything flowing so nicely. He did amazing lighting, a photobooth that was nice and large, and these spectacular sparklers that I HIGHLY recommend. Just do one phonecall with him and you will be sold!

The best ever! Jerry was so great to work with. I was able to see Jerry DJ at my company picnic and I just knew he had to be our DJ for our wedding. He was so great to work with very professional. One of my favorite part of my wedding day was we were taking photos before the ceremony and Jerry was doing a sound check with some of the songs we had put on our list. I insnatly started dancing during our photo session and knew it was going to be a great night with awesome music! We also didn't have a few songs picked out for some of our events but I knew that Jerry would find the perfect fit without any hesitation. He was able to carry on all the details and keep a great fun up bet atmosphere throughout the entire event. Was so great working with Pure Events Group and highly recommend them.

Jerry was incredible from start to finish. He took care in helping us plan our reception. Jerry met me at our venue to tour it. He had knowledge of how the sound would carry in the space and made suggestions accordingly. He was extremely professional, personable and seemed genuinely excited to DJ our event. Jerry was fantastic from start to finish. We met before hand and he helped us map out an awesome timeline to ensure that we got to dancing and having a good time as fast as possible. It was fun to work with someone who was so passionate about his service and making sure that we had the best experience possible. When the dance floor opened he got everyone out there right away and mixed hit after hit. The dance floor was packed all night! He also included the coolest photo booth I have seen where guests could have either pictures or GIFs sent directly to their phone, our guests had a lot of fun with it. When discussing our wedding with people everyone brings up how great the DJ was and what a great time they had because of him. Multiple friends have asked for his information. I cannot give a higher recommendation for Jerry and his crew. They made our wedding an absolute party like we were hoping for!

Jerry is phenomenal and what he does! He was extremely professional and kind throughout the whole planning process. My husband and I lived in Columbus while planning our wedding in Canton. Jerry was very flexible with meet us during the weekends when we were in town. He offered suggestions to make the reception even more fun and effective for our guests. He offered to provide special lighting just so that we had a little extra flare during the reception and we greatly appreciated it. On the day of the wedding Jerry did an amazing job of taking control of the reception and leading the event from introductions, to speeches, to the cake cutting and our special dances. He was professional on the microphone and did a wonderful job of moving through the program so that we had ample amount of time to dance with our friends. Once the fun dancing began it didn't stop! Jerry did an amazing job of combining music that all generations loved. The dance floor was full the WHOLE NIGHT, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Throughout the night he took requests, but also monitored what was played so that the playlist stayed true to what we wanted our guests to hear. Jerry was also the DJ at my sister's wedding in 2015 and he did an amazing job then as well. He has consistently proven that he knows how to keep the party exciting and we would both high recommend him as a DJ for future weddings!

The first time my husband and I met Jerry, we knew without a doubt we wanted him for our DJ. He stood out from anyone else we met with. He talks with excitement and passion and you can easily tell he enjoys what he does. Even with years of experience, he still knew how to make our wedding unique and custom to us and our guests. Jerry made our wedding reception memorable. The night was perfect and went so smoothly because of him. He made sure we had time to eat and meet with all our guests. He did not rush us once and yet still made sure we did everything in a timely manner. He turned a boring banquet hall into a party with simple lighting and the music was spot on with what we imagined. My reception was a fun, enjoyable night because of Jerry. I don’t think any other DJ would have topped his passion, kindness and performance.

Jerry is the best D.J on the planet. He responds promptly with all call, texts, and emails. He pays close attention to details and truly cares about your big day. Jerry was a huge part of our October 8, 2016 wedding day in Cleveland, OH. We actually knew as soon as we got engaged that we wanted Jerry as our DJ, since he had DJ'ed the groom's sister's and brother's weddings and did an amazing job. He was actually our first phone call to make sure we could secure him for our day! It was confirmed though, the moment we met with Jerry about our own wedding. We knew he was our DJ. He was fun, energetic, and enthusiastic about his job. He was genuinely excited to be a part of our day. I actually left our last meeting before the big day feeling way more excited for the day to come. Amongst all of the stress and planning, he made it fun. He put time and effort into answering all of our questions and needs. He was responsive to both emails and phone calls. He took time to meet with us at our venue ahead of time to scope out the space and prepare for what the space would need. He supplied all of our lighting. He even planned with my groom (without my knowledge) to rent projector equipment and play a slide show the groom had made for me. This was the highlight of my night. He was a fun emcee and kept the reception always entertaining. He played songs that we requested but we also left a lot of discretion up to him and what he thought the crowd was feeling. One comment many guests made to me after the wedding was that our dance floor was packed from the start to the last song. He looked and acted professional throughout. We definitely put him to work that night coordinating multiple requests and he pulled it all off without a hitch. We seriously love Jerry because he is really just awesome! I would continue to recommend him to family and friends. If you are looking for a DJ, hire Jerry. He will not disappoint! Thank you Jerry for making it a night we will never forget!

Jerry was AMAZING!! People were asking me all night who he was and where they could use him. He was friendly energetic and know exactly what he was doing. He made our wedding so much fun! Anytime I need a DJ he is who I would use hands down!
